I love this little diner. The staff is very nice and the food is great. You can definitely tell it's cooked with love. Prices are very good for the quality of food you get, but it's cash only. Not to worry though, there's an ATM right outside. Limited parking but it's a very small place, chances are if there's no parking, there might not be any seating available. They don't do dinner, only breakfast and lunch. But go for either breakfast or lunch or both, and you won't be disappointed.

Demi’s is the type of place you long for amidst the flashy diners, expensive “coffee shops”, and the anonymity of practically all restaurants. Rich (owner and cook) knows his way around breakfast (see the board with every imaginable way to make eggs!), lunch, and all around comfort food at great prices! Go a few times, introduce yourself, strike up a conversation, and he’ll soon remember your name. You’ll feel like you’re home then and will want to return to try the various egg platters, various flavored pancakes and waffles, the yummy garlicky hot hero sandwiches, salads, and lunch plates. Ooh, almost forgot the chili!! Demi’s is named after Rich’s daughter, who is now in her 20s. That’s right. This place just celebrated 20 years of straight business. It has survived Super Storm Sandy when many businesses actually went under. Great food, coziness, decorating done Rich’s way, and no fanciness. Leave your pretentiousness at the door but bring your hunger. Also, BRING CASH if you want to try the delicious, hot coffee. Demi’s doesn’t accept any cards nor checks. If you forget, no worries. Demi’s has an ATM. Enjoy and tell them Rob the UBER driver recommended it!

I had a great breakfast omelet here. My fiance got an omelet wrap. My father in law got a well-done burger because he has interesting tastes. Great food here. Great service and awesome coffee. Highly recommend. I had been wanting to go here for quite some time. Parking is tight, you'll miss it if you don't go fast. It's to the right of the front of the building. Otherwise there isn't much on the block because of the school nearby. Check this place out!

It doesn't get better than this. The last true luncheonette anywhere around here! Great food, with commentary, prepared by the owner. Nice service, nice people. Everyone talks. A mix of all types. Breakfast or lunch everyday won't break the bank. If you know the difference between real food and the gruel sold at Seven-eleven then this place is for you.

First time trying this place I got the number one combo and it was absolutely amazing. The hashbrowns were so good. The pancakes were super fluffy and the eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was crispy. Highly recommend coming to this place. I will be back.

I must have passed this place 200 times over the years on deliveries to Long Beach , what a MISTAKE ! This is a great place to eat quick simple breakfast or really incredible burgers and lunch plates for very fair prices . Way better than any fast fake food places in this area . Just be sure to go when open they are small and only a for breakfast and lunch. Great service and the cook is the owner ! Great guy also ... Eat Here !

Food was good. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Giant waffle. Not enough chicken :( Next time I’ll order an extra portion of chicken. Wife got the Good Morning special. And there’s enough pancakes as part of the kids meal to feed any growing boy.

It’s a small old school dinner with an affordable prices!! No cards are accepted, but they do have an ATM machine and also you can pay through Zelle.

This is way better the going to Ihop. You get a bottomless cup of coffee for $1.75 and a 2 egg, choice of meat, homefries & toast for $7.50 and the kids meals are cheaper. Staff is friendlier also!

We stopped in here for breakfast on the way to the train station. Few spots in their lot, otherwise street parking is available. It’s not very big. There are a few tables and the counter. This spot is not ideal for more than four people. We had three people and had to wait 20 minutes. Our waitress was nice, but the other waitress seemed like she had an attitude. Maybe because it’s hot in there, the air conditioning doesn’t do much. It’s cash only so be prepared. I will say the food was good. I got the breakfast platter and was full after. The bacon was very crispy. Fluffy light pancakes with some butter were good.

Amazing breakfast Hero!! Best breakfast sandwich I have had in 51 yrs!!! Then bun was 12" long! And the dough was the most perfect texture consistency and taste! I would choose that roll for any sandwiches I would make if I had a food truck! The owner is swell and friendly to talk too. However the lead waitress was rude to the customers next to us insisting they sit at the window. They wanted to sit at the counter. I'm not sure why. I think the table at the window needed dishes removed and cleaned but when she offered to clean they went to the counter to sit and she was a bit demanding they were taken back by her demanding. Rather weird. But otherwise she was pleasant enough. Would definitely go back!

Good spot for breakfast. Tiny dining table area with mostly 2-tops and about an 8-person counter, you will likely have a wait. Food was good, prepared quickly, served hot. Service was polite but a bit terse, like they had to work at being polite. There are other places for breakfast that are as good or better, but probably not as inexpensive, prices were good. Very, very limited parking, you'll likely need to park on the side street, and the challenge of crossing busy Austin Blvd going southbound and not being able to access the parking lot, so having to hang a challenging U-turn, makes it hard to access. Good if you're already in the area, but not worth a special trip.

I didn't think it was possible to screw up breakfast but Demi's figured out a way to ruin my morning. Cold home fries, a cheese omelette that didn't resemble an omelette I've ever had elsewhere and cheese that was hard to find. Lastly even the toast was burnt. Sorry Demi's....three strikes your out and this is my third and last time visiting.

Funny that I would give Demi's a 2 out of 5 even though they got all "5's" from me! Everything was great until I finished. The server (who was great by the way!), took my "empty" plate left to get me the check. I was sending a text when all of a sudden, the cook is sitting across from me! "You didn't eat your home fries?". I was so taken back, I actually started rationalizing why I didn't eat my home fries, settling on, "The breakfast sandwich was huge!". He then slapped the table and said 'Okay, I'll know for next time!" It was absolutely something out of a Seinfeld episode!!!! No worries chef! There won't be a next time but thanks for the great breakfast, sorry I disappointed you!!!!

Do not waste your time here. Food is overpriced for the quality of food provided. $6.75 for a French toast that's just your regular sliced white bread dipped in egg an fried. Not even a dash of cinnamon or sugar to be found just the taste of soggy bread and egg. The tuna salad is also laughable. No seasoning, no flavor, just plain mayo an tuna mixed together. Not even celery added. How do you mess up such a basic dish. Service was slow as well, ordered 3 teas but was served one by one at 5 min intervals. The excuse being "it needs time to brew" when all they did was pour hot water into the cup an dump the tea bags in there. Overall a sad way to waste your time and ruin your day.

Absolutely the worst food and service. It was so awful I had yo post this. I was given eggs drenched in oil with stale bread.

Waitress was very nice and kind however the cook in the back has an attitude problem and should not tell his waitress to Shut up in-front of customers or at all for that matter.

Hair in food!!!!!!!! If I could give zero stars I would, when I entered there was a sign that stated masks must be worn yet there were customers walking out and at the counter with no mask on. Secondly, I ordered a sausage egg and cheese sandwich. I noticed there were bits of lettuce in my sandwich, indicating they are cross contaminating food and not cleaning the prep space. To make matters worse, there were 2 long hairs in my sandwich. I am filing a complaint with the health department.

So the food was tasty, the staff was nice. But as I was getting ready to pay my bill, a roach crawled across the counter. It doesn't matter how good the food is, roaches kill a meal

This place is a dump. The food is below grade cafeteria style. The bathroom is disgusting. CASH ONLY NO REAL FOOD All greasy reheated food Rude owner Not sure if people are friends and family with all these positive reviews. So much potential for a super trendy "diner" but they miss the mark. Get some real food, raise your prices and it will be packed.

Just stop to see how the food was and lets just say not good walked in order my food I didn't see no cook in the back about 2 mins later a men that work's there walk in carrying 2 box's put the box's down want rite to the back pick up my bacon with his hands n put it on the grill never wash his hands or anything with everything going on rite now that's so bad.. I just walk rite out of that place
