Sometimes they chard your pizza and it becomes hard to eat,I personally prefer soft and chewy. overall great place. Excellent taste and aroma. Small pizza joint located in downtown vista.
Amazing spot. We went early in the day so there was only one other customer but ai feel this place gets busy in the afternoon and evenings. I was with my 5yr old and 2yr old sons and we all loved the thin pizza and amazing topping.
I came to URBN Coal Fired Pizza with 2 friends and we shared a medium sized meatball pizza. It was JAW DROPPING GOOD! We lowkey didn't even talk to each other because we were savoring the moment lol. The medium size was just the right amount for the three of us to share. The only downside was that the soda machine wasn't working well when we came, which was a disappointment since the sodas are $3.40 🙃. Other than that, it was a great experience and I'll definitely be coming back again! If you're in Vista and craving some amazing coal fired pizza, URBN is the place to go!
Urbn Pizza was delectable! Their fire-oven cooked pizzas are incredible. I recently had the chance to sample both the mashed potato pie and the sausage basil cheese, and they were both outstanding. The mashed potato pie was a unique and delicious experience. The creamy mashed potatoes paired perfectly with the crispy crust and savory toppings. The sausage basil cheese pizza was equally impressive, with a rich and flavorful sauce, fresh basil, and perfectly cooked sausage. What truly sets this place apart is the quality of their ingredients and the skill of their pizza chefs. The crust on both pizzas was perfectly crisp, with just the right amount of char from the fire oven. The toppings were all fresh and flavorful, and the combination of textures and tastes was simply divine. This place is a true gem!
First visit review. As an east coast transplant who’s eaten legendary pizza back in CT and NY (Frank Pepi, Grimaldi, etc) and plenty of west coast $20+ individual craft pies, this is now my #2 pizza on the west coast. (Rose pizza in Berkeley still claims top spot). Pound for pound this place is doing it right. Wet center, slightly charred crust, bright sauce, not “over-topped”. Service was quick (we plowed through our first pie and decided we needed a second and it was out in minutes). Recommend the traditional cheese. Hot honey also so tasty. Neighbor’s eggplant parm look really good but rest of my party was not having it. Next time. Only little ding was the Cesar dressing. A bit too mayo forward but quantity/value and croutons were on point. No doubt a new family favorite place. We will be back. Recommend.
We went to Urbn while visiting friends who are local to the area, and it did not disappoint! The pizza was insanely good, and if you’re a whiskey connoisseur this is your place! They have very rare whiskeys and bourbons, horribly overpriced but worth every penny. The atmosphere is hipster but the service was surprisingly fast and friendly, even for a Saturday night. Definitely a great place for friends to gather!
They get pzza right, at least pizza the way I like it. The tomato sauce is simple, no sugar or other weird doo-dads added. Perfect amount of flavorful cheese. Good quality oil. Nice thin crust, baked just right. I had house-made sausage on mine and it's wonderful. Lots of fennel seeds and close to being like a good meatball. There was no seating because of covid-19 but a nice bench outside to wait for my order. Which the gracious counter-man brought out to me way sooner than I was expecting. Hard to find anything to criticize, except maybe that it's not cheap. Still, you get what you pay for and this is a premium pizza experience.
I'm Italian and I just moved to California and I really miss good pizza. I'm glad I found this place, their pizza was up to my expectations. I'm also lactose intolerant so I asked them to replace the normal cheese with some dairy free cheese that I brought from home and they were happy to do it. 5 stars!
Had a hankering for some pizza and found this location. Ordered the Peperoni and red peppers, added Sausage. Small pizza is huge for two folks, also tried the Urban salad. Meal was very good. Not used to sliced pears and candy walnuts with Pungent blue cheese in my salad, but grew on me quick...potpourri of flavors for sure. Crust on pizza is crazy good. Food comes quick.....oh yes, shhhhh, next door is ice-cream joint! Leave room for it! Enjoy
The best wood fired pizza I have every had in recent times. The food was fresh and yummy. We had bread sticks/with cheese and spicy wings for appetizers. The bread was fresh and soft and the chicken was tender. We had large vegan pizza and make your own pizza. Both were huge hand tossed thin crust pizza enough for 4 members. We ordered 2 and was difficult to finish it all. The toppings were fresh and crunchy. Overall I loved it personally and will be back for more succulent food.
We went last weekend after watching videos about New Haven, CT pizza (apizza). I grew up in CT but didn't spend enough time in New Haven to remember the pizza there, but CT as a whole kills it with the thin, crispy crust and unique sweet but tart sauce. We ordered a large pizza, half bbq chicken and half mushroom and meatball. Loved the toppings and the barbecue sauce was not overpowering. They nailed it with the crust but my only criticism would be that they were a little light on the red sauce, so one half was a little dry. It was $32 after tax for the large, oblong pizza that equaled 10 slices, which is more than enough for two people with an appetite and without a side dish.
I have been coming here for years and the food was always great. Lately it just doesn’t seem to be the same. I ordered the wings and a side of ranch. There ranch was the consistency of water and I ate a couple wings and then realized a couple of them still had feathers on them 🤮. I know what I’m eating but I prefer if it didn’t still have the feathers.
Ordered chicken wings with ranch and a large pizza. The wings were so burnt and dry, they forgot the ranch dressing. The pizza had a funky flavor to it like the sauce or meat toppings went bad. The pizza was completely burnt black on 1/2 of the pizza and the other half was soggy and guey. Not a good day for urbn. I went there a few years ago and it was better then.
It’s burned $40 large pizza! $$$$ sounds like we eat the pizza in Manhattan or something! It’s really not even worth $15 ! This is the second time we been at this place and feels like, they just don’t want our business! My Jaw is hurting from chewing that crust! As you can see, it’s almost completely burned out, we paid for it $40 so we have to eat it unfortunately! I want to say it’s free to go and try but sorry it’s really very expensive to get that terrible experience so do yourself a favor and just go get pizza from elsewhere. Is it really that hard to make pizza? I wonder!
Should not even get one star. There were toppings missing on the pizza. The salad we had ordered also was missing chicken. And all we got was a $6 credit for the chicken missing on the salad. Come back and pick up this stuff….it is not what we ordered. Does it look like there is ricotta cheese on this?
