Courtney was our server and she was wonderful. Great personality, jolly, just wonderful. Kudos to her because you don't get that type of server all of the time. The salsa and spinach dip were very good. My husband didn't like green beans but they were okay to me, just a little overcooked as were the carrots but the salmon was great.
Graduation had just finished close by and our server informed us/ gave us heads up as to food may take a bit longer than usual since that mass as well as others and ourselves had all arrived within moments of each other ... Croissants with honey butter were delicious... I would've been more than happy with a couple more of them as my meal... However, the sirloin was cooked just as I asked and everything was impeccable, despite the crowd.
We got seated really fast despite it looking packed the staff are amazing and kind fast and attentive especially Mackenzie the red headed lady she was very kind and cheerful she really added to the atmosphere!but the chicken Alfredo was absolutely gross it has no flavor and even the Parmesan was dusty and crusty though it was plated fabulously. We also got the buffalo chicken wrap and it was the best thing here!! P.s: staff were super sweet about the Alfredo situation. They saw that I hadn’t touched it and were absolutely amazing about the situation the staff here are amazing and deserve the world and one of them said I had a fairy aura and I thought that was very funny!
Food was excellent. Service was awesome. Waitress was very professional and nice.
I went here this week for my birthday! The service was outstanding, also the food. Although there were seven of us, the wait staff was wonderful and on top of all requests. I had a wonderful birthday and the staff made it extra special when they sang to me! Thanks Cheddars! Y'all ROCK!
Elizabeth was so great and friendly. Food was hot and fresh. The only complaint is how dark the lot is outside.
This is an excellent place if you like getting great food served in a timely manner at a decent price from a service host that is knowledgeable and very respectful. The atmosphere is active but quiet enough to have a conversation and enjoy the great tasting food.
The Best Chicken Pot Pie I have ever had. Server forgot our bread the 2nd time for some time. Didn't see him to remind him until the end of thr meal. Otherwise with a party of 6 everyone enjoy the meal here. Visiting from Cali. Will make sure I stop in on the next visit.
Great waiters, food and the Strawberry Lemonade is AWESOME.My husband likes the tender platter, I tried the Cajun Pasta(posted below) it was loaded with meat as well. Our daughter likes the Chips and Queso, we got the Combo the 1st time with steak and shrimp, his was ribs and steak, we also got the trio sampler appetizer with Spinach Dip,Queso and tenders.
Love cheddars! It’s one of our favorite restaurants for birthday dinners! Everyone can find something they like!
We hade a great time me and my wife come here once a week we love it the service is great. they check on you all the time make sure your food is great. and it is. They play great music which gives you and all around experience
Absolutely amazing! The place has the MOST hospitable manager (Michael) and staff. When we visit the bar area, Jamison along with the other bar staff are always super friendly no matter how busy they may be during our time at the restaurant! Plus our food and drinks are always served in a timely manner. Ogee was our server tonight. He was delightful the entire time, along with another young lady (I did not catch her name) that helped us with a spill that we made at our table this evening. I love that Cheddars offers a scratch kitchen. We always receive an ample amount of food for a great price. Overall the outstanding personalities and professionalism of the staff and manager, Michael puts the icing on the cake for us during our visit to Waco’s Cheddars! We appreciate this great establishment for always treating us nice and providing great customer service! You guys deserve more than a 5 star review! Please keep up the outstanding work! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+
Good food and great service! I have traveled extensively and eaten at many places. I have been very blessed to take pleasure in the most expensive, highest quality places and I have been forced to eat at some of the quick/kid friendly places as well! One of the most important items to me is cleanliness. If the restroom is not well stocked and clean that is a cause for concern. If the staff are not capable of keeping the customers’ most used place neat and tidy, how can they possibly handle preparing my food and getting my order delivered correctly and promptly. I also observe the host and wait staff. The hostess/greeter must be friendly and knowledgeable to win me over. The person holding this position can make or break the business. I enjoy a menu with a variety of offerings. Our family will normally get an appetizer, main course and a variety of desserts. We enjoy a sampling of items. I usually take notice of the presentation of the food and try to post pictures when possible. Our family enjoys distinctive cuisines. We enjoy cooking together and it is fun to experience different food items at unique places. I do believe that the amount of food served should be equivalent to the price.
Great food and great service and a awesome place for my family to get together when I'm in town!
We were here on vacation visiting family and decided to go to Cheddars for dinner. Sat down right away got croissant with honey butter they were okay but 2 people had potato soup and said they have never had better. The other 2 had chicken fried chicken and was very good. I highly recommend Cheddars to everyone.
Came here with my sister and fiancée. We ordered quite a bit of food. We started off with a sampler platter and it was a lot of food I got the Shrimp Alfredo dish and it was huge. I had enough to take home and eat the next day. My fiance ordered the pot pie and it was delicious, and she's picky about pot pie. The crust was nice and flaky but still enough crunch. My sister ordered some sweet chili tenders and they were really good. We ordered the Painkiller and it was delicious, it had been awhile since I had one. We also ordered a tiki something drink, it was fruity and delicious!
We visited Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen in Waco, TX, for dinner. We arrived there about 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday and were promptly seated. We were greeted by our waitress very quickly and our drink orders were taken and filled while we took a few minutes to look at their marvelous menu. We put in our order for an appetizer and our meal order at the same time. Our beautiful side salads came out first and then ... Wow, our food came out so quickly and it was generous portions, hot and delicious. Our appetizer came out virtually at the same time. That meal made me two meals. The ribs had lots of meat on them and the grilled shrimp was fabulous. Hubby got the ribs and shrimp and I got the ribs and chicken tenders, which were great, for our meals and it was a great choice. Our waitress was friendly and sweet and shared that she is a Baylor student carrying a double major, and she is from Colorado originally. She will go far in life, I'm sure. We highly recommend eating here while you are in Waco.
Went for lunch with my daughter. Decided on the coconut shrimp for an appetizer which was really good. Mmmmm. The buttered croissants came first. They were very good. For my meal I ordered the 6oz. Sirloin, med. Rare with potatoes, gravy, and green beans. Everything was so good. The steak was cooked correctly and was very tender. Just the right size for me. Was not disappointed. Our server was very good. One of the best. Thank you for your service. Made the meal that much more enjoyable. Recommend.
I ordered the Ribeye but it came to the table well done, so I sent it back and got an excellent steak cooked medium and moist and tasty. The salad was very good and the honey croissant was uninspected (first time here) and very good and warm.
Food was really good and our waiter Ace was just awesome!! Amazing service he’s so friendly and always smiling! It was pretty busy but he kept up with it I didn’t even have to ask for a refill lol
Fried chicken pattie in sandwich a little over fried but delicious but the flavor made up. great French fries. VERY KNOWGEABLE WAITRESS COULD PRESENT WITHOUT LOOKING AT MENU. All age customers. My grandaughter & family envited me to join them. All had an enjoyable time even 4 year old Jade.
It is a good place that needs a clean up... My wife and I will semi-regularly come here for "date" lunch over the years. The menu has been paired down to a flip sheet and the fan is still missing a blade since like 2021... It really needs a couple days closed to deep clean or rip out some tile and stuff. Food has always been what I expected it to be and staff has been very good. After having a child, I do hate the kiosk things.
We had dinner to celebrate my twin grandsons 25th birthday. We had such a grand time. Our waitress was wonderful. I gave her a hug before we left. It was a great dinner! 1 Grandma 4 Grands 1 Great Grand Best night in a longtime! Thank you Cheddars!!
At Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, every bite tells a story. I walked in expecting a routine meal, but what unfolded was a celebration of flavor and tradition—a true culinary ritual that left me both surprised and profoundly satisfied. The journey began with a croissant that was nothing short of addictive. It reminded me of those irresistible Lay’s Potato Chips you simply can’t stop at one. Each flaky, buttery layer was a welcome prelude, setting the stage for the culinary performance to come. Then came the star of the show: the buffalo beer‐battered shrimp. These shrimp weren’t just food—they were an experience. Big, fluffy, and golden brown, each piece was enveloped in a vibrant, tangy buffalo sauce that seemed to make the dish come alive. Every bite was a burst of flavor, a perfect harmony of crispy exterior and tender interior that captured the essence of what great casual dining should be. The main event, however, was the Chicken Pot Pie—a dish that feels like home and haute cuisine all at once. Nestled in a warm ceramic bowl, the pot pie showcased chunky pieces of roasted chicken, lovingly “crushed” to reveal their hearty texture. The chicken mingled with robust vegetables and a rich, creamy sauce, all tucked under a delicately flaky crust. This wasn’t just comfort food; it was an ode to consistency and craftsmanship. The kitchen’s legacy, underscored by the fact that many of the chefs have been perfecting their recipes for over twenty years, was evident in every bite. The flaky crust, the well-seasoned filling, and the overall comforting presentation all spoke to a tradition of excellence that Cheddar’s clearly cherishes. Complementing this hearty dish was a salad—a simple, fresh supporter that provided a much-needed balance to the richness of the pot pie. It wasn’t the centerpiece, but its role was vital; it offered a refreshing contrast and reminded me that even the simplest sides can elevate a meal when done right. And then there was the dessert: an apple pie à la mode that carried the same flaky perfection and warmth as the pot pie. The sweet, tender apple filling paired with a cool scoop of ice cream created a harmonious ending, a final note in an unforgettable symphony of flavors. During the meal, I had a brief but memorable conversation with Michael, the kitchen manager. His pride in his team was palpable as he explained that the very people crafting these dishes have been at it for two decades. There was something reassuring about knowing that such dedication and tradition underpinned every plate that came out of the kitchen—a reminder that consistency isn’t accidental but the result of hard work and passion. At just $38 with tip, this entire experience—appetizer, main entree, dessert, and the comforting ambiance—felt like a rare treat in the casual dining landscape. It wasn’t about extravagant cocktails or flashy presentations; it was about genuine quality, a meal that resonated with authenticity and care. Whether you’re dining solo or planning a night out with someone special, this is the kind of experience that transforms an ordinary dinner into a memorable ritual. Bon Appetit to the moments when a meal transcends the everyday. Here’s to the flaky, meaty, saucy, and sweet masterpieces at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen—a place where every dish invites you to savor life a little more.
Cheddars offers large-portion homestyle cooking for value and great service Their appetizer honey butter croissant is delectable! I’ve always enjoyed their Alfredo Pasta although the Salmon was a bit dry. Their succulent ribs and hand-breaded chicken plate deal is great value and very tasty. The pecan salad was solid although t I would’ve liked seeing more variety in the vegetables provided. Our server Jasmine was great! The overall interior is well-kept and airy.
Busy but we’re seated quickly. Service was spectacular and she was there when we needed her. Like a mind reader. Took our order and came out quickly. The monte cristo is better than you can imagine. And I had the buffalo chicken wrapper. Big portions with fries. No way you walk out hungry unless you take half home with you. Price and portion can’t be beat. Oh and the warm sweet roll to start is such a nice treat.
This is our once a month “go to” for a change of pace and some darn good food! My wife talked me into straying from my traditional chicken fried steak(which is wonderful) and we tried the appetizer sampler and the vegetable plate. We left with stuffed, but happy stomachs! The chicken tenders are great and the nachos serviceable. However, the spinach dip is amazing. The vegetable plate was as good as expected, but this place has broccoli rice casserole that takes me back to my grandmother’s home and Thanksgiving. If they made it a meal into itself, that’s all I’d ever get. If you want a break from burgers and fast food, whip on in there and enjoy. But don’t do it without trying the broccoli rice casserole.
Went there tonight for dinner. Delicious meal. Portions were kinda on the large size. Excellent service. Thumbs up for service, food, and price.

We had very good food when we went. The Salmon with shrimp was excellent as well as the croissants. The pot pie is good but not great like it was before. Our waitress, Micah, was excellent. She made our experience the best. Very attentive and friendly. We’ll be going back this week too.
My fiance and I came to Cheddar's having great hope of wonderful food after weeks of places that were supposedly high rated and proved to be dismal. Let me be the first to say, Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen did not let us down! The food alone deserves a five, having satisfied our cravings for delicious fare. He decided to go for their loaded fries while I went for a deep dive in flavor, ordering the Monte Cristo. The proportion of the batter around the meat and cheese was just right, allowing for a crisp exterior and an ooey gooey center that was pleasantly warm. To be completely honest, the only thing that could have been better was the service, as our waitress sat us and then half the time acted as if we were invisible. All in all however, definitely a place to go and spend some money to have an amazing meal!
Clean atmosphere, not too noisy, despite how busy it was at the time. The service was fantastic, but weirdly, the food was bland. It wasn't bad, not in the slightest. It was just... bland. In my case, I had the shrimp Alfredo, but they didn't add enough sauce or mix it in, so most of it was just basic noodle. They also didn't de-tail the shrimp, so I had to manually do that, getting my fingers covered in what little sauce I had. My partner, ALSO, had stated her food was less than stellar. It wasn't a quality issue, but just seemed like inadequate skill, or the very likely potential that they were just rushed and understaffed that night. It was prom night, so I figure that was likely the cause. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, the staff was super friendly and kind, the prices were great. I would definitely give this place another try.
Cheddars is one of our Favorite Restaurants!! I’m glad they have one here in Waco! The host/hostesses are very sweet!! (All of them, we’ve been there multiple times!) They always have a smile on their face and it brightens your day and the experience! The only sour experience we had was when we sat at the bar side and our server didn’t welcome or come take our drink orders until 15-20 minutes later. We went to the hosts and said we would like to change to the other side, the manager came to see us and She made it all right. If anything, I’d advise not to sit on the bar side. Servers are always a toss up whether you get a good one or not, but that’s at any restaurant! Their food is amazing!! Pictured below is the chicken fried steak. If you get the steak or shrimp just know it’s very seasoned with some black pepper, I always ask without seasoning or black pepper! Hope you enjoy your Cheddars Experience like we do!
We went on a Friday during lunch hours. We had comfy seating in the bar area, absolutely loved the space the seating provided, and our server was very attentive. The food was good as well, I won't call it mind blowing but overall its tasty. For the price, it's really not a bad experience overall. Edit: during another visit, I was excited to discover that the spicy mango mojito is back but then I was sorely disappointed. There were no mangos. No spicy aspect to it. Just rum with mint leaves and some lime. I don't blame the waitress as the gentleman who mixed the drink was the one that brought it over and after tasting it, I was too disappointed to complain. Either the bartender was new or they changed the recipe. Unfortunate, really.
The service was excellent. The food was good. However, the restrooms were hideous. I could smell the horrific odor down the hall and into the restaurant! It was absolutely awful. The restrooms need a deep clean. Faucets, trash receptacles, corners, edges, walls. It's a shame the odor was very off putting!
We had a large group so we called ahead and the manager was very accommodating. Once we arrived at the scheduled time we still had an hour wait. The service was great and the food was consistent to other Cheddars. I would recommend this location.
Food was good but they need to shut down to fix there plumbing. Darden should fix this matter ASAP. The smell is unbearable trying to eat!

We went to Cheddar's about 2 in the afternoon. It was busier than we expected but we were seated promptly. Our food came out quickly and it was good and hot. One of my favorite places to eat.
The food was good as usual, three stars because of the smell of the restaurant and very slow service. A sour mildew smell hits you in the face when you walk in. Throughout my meal I kept getting whiffs of the stench. It prevented me from fully enjoying the meal. Highly recommend management deep clean this location and maybe replace the carpet.
The meal was good till I received the House Salad. The lettuce had dark brown edges and I asked to have it replaced. They brought me the same salad and added more lettuce. SMH. I just slid it to the side, took a breath and decided not to let that bother me and ruin my lunch with my hubby. Besides, by this time, I had my half Monte Cristo sandwich. It was the ilregard of my request that annoyed me.
Honestly, the food was disappointing. The pasta dish I received was severely overcooked, the noodles were mushy and falling apart. On top of that, the rest of the food was barely warm and didn’t seem fresh at all. The only saving grace was the server, he did an excellent job of taking care of us and was attentive and professional throughout the meal.
I had ribs and shrimp with broccoli (cheese) and corn off the cob. My ribs were hard on the outside. There were particles floating in my water.
Cheddars is one of those places that is either amazing or pretty awful. Generally speaking, you can't go wrong if you need a quick stop to grab something decent to eat. However, today's experience was off. My family was in visiting from out of town, and we decided to stop in for a bite to eat before they left for the air port. We called ahead and got a table for the family, but when we got there we were pretty cramped in the space provided. The service took a while, and our drinks stayed empty throughout the meal, going as far as to need go flag servers down once we realized being patient was not going to work. The orders came out wrong today unfortunately, and one order even had French fry crumbs instead of fries, that looked as if they had been sitting out a while as well. The food was okay otherwise though. It did end up being way more expensive than I remembered, but that's just how eating out is nowadays. Sadly, my out of town family have a bad taste in their mouths now for a restaurant I've always loved. I hope your experiences are better than ours today
Yes, I did ask for my Cheddar burger to not have pink, but you can make a well done burger juicy. I know because we ate at Cheddars in Bristol VA and my burger was so delicious. The one here was horrid, so, so dry and tasteless. Disappointed.
Every time I visit Cheddar’s with my family, there always seems to be an issue. On our most recent visit, my son’s chicken was undercooked and still pink inside—which is obviously a major concern. On a previous trip, we even found pieces of potato mixed in with our corn. These aren’t minor slip-ups—they point to bigger issues with food prep and attention to detail. The service also tends to be subpar. The staff doesn’t seem very welcoming or attentive, and there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to attitude and professionalism. On top of that, the cleanliness of the restaurant leaves much to be desired. The bathrooms consistently smell like a dirty sewer, which is not only unpleasant but also raises concerns about hygiene in general. Cheddar’s has potential, but there needs to be a serious focus on food safety, cleanliness, and customer service.
I got the 5oz grilled salmon over rice, steamed broccoli and the broccoli cheese casserole for dinner. Everything was good except the rice was extremely salty.
My husband's burger was not cooked all the way. The steak had soo much seasoning and was too salty, it took away from the flavor of the meat. The server was not tentative, when asked to speak to our server it took her too long to get back to us. We probably will not be returning.
Ok. I ordered chicken Alfred with broccoli but the broccoli was undercooked. I also got the pain killer which is limited to 2 (not sure why) it was good minus the shaved coconut on the rim- my bad …
Although the manager really tried to make things right, this was a pretty bad experience. It started off with no water and no drinks for 45 minutes. Then the orders were wrong after we waited almost an hour. After we got our food I waited 15 more minutes for silverware that I never received. The burger was beyond burned. I finally just got to go boxes and went ahead and left.
Do not recommend, you’re gonna wait forever in your food and don’t get checked on at all.
Overall very poor service and good was not well cooked..
The waitress was very unorganized and it took her 20 minutes to get my Togo box, I also put in a Togo order in and I told her one thing and wrote down something different, the food was great like always, but the service sucked!!!
Only came for the Philly cheeses teak, but it was burnt garbage. The bread and meat was burnt where you get the garbage taste, yet somehow the cheese was just thrown on there unrelated. No manager on duty, not one doing qc for the kitchen and some slow refill times. Not a good place to come for lunch.
We had a party of 3 adults and 3 children for Father's Day dinner. We sat inside, on a provided bench. They had a chalk board hanging above the bench. The chalk board fell on my fathers head. Knocking over a vase full of water and roses. The water from the vase went all down his back. Told the server which apologized. She then brought over the manager that also apologized. He did bring my father a towel to dry off with. He said he would make it right. Used the ladies restroom. The restroom was dirty and there was water all the floor. Dinner was okay. I ordered the smokehouse burger, medium well. It was burnt and dry. It looked good, tasted horrible. Kids' alfredo was flavorless. It was my first time there and, I do not think I will be going back. Manager never did make it right either.
I used to frequent Cheddars with the family but it had started to go downhill over the last few years. Decided to try one more time and will not be back. Our server was wonderful, but the food was mediocre at best. I get Cheddars is not fine dining, but we loved it for the affordability of consistently good food. Today our cheese dip was lumpy, the fries cold, and the spinach dip was runny. The food wasnt even the worst of it. Our booth was filthy. Grime and crusted food on the walls and on top of that, the restaurant smells like spoiled dairy. The place just looks sticky, if you know what I mean.
I bought the chicken tender family meal online. My pickup time was 5:50. I got thwtw at 5:51. The young lady came out took my name and brought me my food. This was my first time eating Cheddar's but literally everyone in Waco brags about it so I had to try it. The chicken tenders were not fresh they weren't even hot. Neither were the mashed potatoes and rice broccoli and cheese. Im not sure how long the chicken was sitting out but it ruined my stomach. The chicken tenders and the brown gravy were very salty. All in all I give this place 2.5 out of 10. I will never try this place in Waco again I guess I have to go elsewhere
The food cool, it’s good however this the second time I’ve been here and the black male bartender seem to be on 10 from the jump. Like relax.. all that attitude is unnecessary👎🏽
Food was not good. Ordered the fried "white fish" to find out it is vietnamese swai fish, wbich is a very poor qualty, bacteria prone fish. The bathrooms are nasty, small kids running wild and kicking the booth. Service was just OK. would not go back. The only think decent were the buttered croissants
We had a party of 13 and were there over 2.5 hours and they were not busy at dinner time. Our waitress appeared to be fairly new and she could have used some help taking care of us. The food was ok but nothing to tell your friends about. My son told us this was his third time eating here and the service and food was mediocre at best all three times. We will not be back to this location and do not recommend, there are many other options in town to pick from.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience at Cheddar’s was beyond unacceptable. When we were first seated and received our silverware, it was covered in old, dried food — clearly not washed properly. I brought it to the manager’s attention, and his response was simply, “They must have not thoroughly checked them.” That was it. No real apology, no urgency. And to top everything off, I didn’t notice that my cup had a big lipstick stain until I was done with my water. Disgusting. They replaced the silverware, but somehow it got worse. The new napkins had a literal hairball on them, along with white hairs and some kind of white residue all over the napkins. It was disgusting. At that point, we were given plastic silverware instead. Imagine spending over $100 on a meal just to be forced to eat with plastic forks because the restaurant couldn’t properly wash their utensils. I didn’t take any pictures of the dirty utensils the first time because I wasn’t planning on posting a review like this one I figured they would just make it right and it would be a done deal and we would move forward honest mistake from the restaurant, but it wasn’t like that. I had just worked over 14 hours on the frontline and was looking forward to sitting down to a nice hot meal with my family. Instead, we dealt with dirty silverware, filthy napkins, and poor service. Our server forgot multiple basic items — straws, napkins, and even extra shots for our drinks. Those didn’t arrive until we were nearly finished with the drinks. A second server eventually had to step in to help. I understand restaurants get busy, especially on a Saturday night, and I understand that newer servers need experience — but you should not put an inexperienced waitress alone on a packed Saturday night shift. That falls on management. What’s most disappointing is that there wasn’t even a sincere apology for the health hazard we were served — and yes, it was a BIG health hazard. This wasn’t just me; it was three other people at the table, including a 5-year-old child. The food was decent, but it absolutely did not make up for the rest of the disaster. I would genuinely like to hear from the GM or corporate about how customers were confidently served dirty silverware in the first place. Very disappointing experience overall.
Very very disappointed!!! My night was ruined.I was at the hostess stand for almost 20 minutes on Monday night from 8:15 to 8:35 and no one at all attended to me. Mind you, it was not busy at all. Hosts and managers from that night please pay more attention and do better!
My wife and I come into cheddars all the time and the service and food has always been great. So for our food to come out bad like this is shocking. We will think very hard on coming back after this. Shape up guys tonight was not your best...
Came here to take my family out didnt get any service till after 23mins of sitting and asking for a waiter and even then the yt family behind me got treated better than we were dont recommend coming here
I went in for lunch on Jan 13. I sat at the bar and waited. And waited. While 2 employees sat at a corner table chatting and rolling silverware. They saw me sitting there but made no attempts to come over to hand me a menu. I sat there probably 10 minutes and started to get up. Then is when the two chatty girls told me they were coming to help me. I told them not to worry about me their conversation was more important. I was walking out and they both starting saying something rude. I won’t go back in. I won’t recommend this place. I won’t suggest this place. Rude and lazy staff. If management doesn’t get a handle on this situation they may not have much to manage for to much longer! I guess that explains why at 3 the restaurant was empty! No excuse for poor service! With so few restaurants in the area sad to see this one doesn’t care!
They place was unclean. Food all over floor swept up in corners., and under chairs. The first table we were seated at had food in the chairs, so ask for a booth. Ordered burger and fries . Fries were cold. My friend ordered a platter that came w chips.. was given a lot of broken chips. Hadn't eaten in awhile most likely will not be going back. Didn't want to complain bc we know what happens when you send food back
Just drove over thirty minutes for a baby back ribs family meal and an appetizer sampler trio. Just to find out when I got home that we did not get the appetizer and the ribs and fries looked and tasted like they were hours old. Been a loyal customer for years but this has me thinking of never going back.
Didn't include utensils as requested. I had to go to another store to get them and cost me about 30 minutes before I was able to eat my cold food.
We wanted to sit at the bar, but when we walked over, almost the entire bar was full of dirty dishes and items that were not picked up yet from the previous customers. Very unappealing and didn't look hygienic. We went back to the hostess both and asked for a table. When we got seated, it wasn't a great experience either. The service was slow and really annoying. We weren't proactively given appetizer plates or utensils. The drinks were slow. The margarita was good, but the whiskey sour tasted like sweet and sour mix. The food was the only thing up to par. Dirty restroom too.
Waited over 45 minutes for a party of 7 and they would not give me a ETA on when we would be seated. They have always been really slow on service and food preparation
Rating everything a zero because it’s claustrophobic, the tables are tiny and barely suitable for a family of four and because I’ve been here waiting for a server for around 45 minutes now. Can’t rate the food cause I’m still waiting to order.
Restaurant smelled horrible when we came in. The septic or sewage smell just permeated the entire restaurant. We decided to stay because husband really wanted the Monte Cristo. He enjoyed his meal, but my salad tasted like cleaning solution & my order was wrong…I ordered cheese fries but got mashed potatoes with a little cheese & about a tsp of bacon. The smell in the restaurant definitely didn’t make dining in a pleasant experience. The manager mentioned that they’re doing a remodel soon…hopefully it goes well & the smell goes with it.
I can't believe a restaurant or even the cook would send something that looked and smelled bad. I ordered the ribeye with grilled mushroom and onions. I am attaching a picture of the burnt medium well steak and burnt mushrooms and onions. I ordered delivery. I do have a picture of this mess
Terrible online ordering experience, I didn’t get to get no pictures bc my girlfriend insisted it’s okay and ate it, but they forgot the salad I ordered, and with that they even burnt the burger that came with the salad. My meal was almost good, only thing was the fries that I ordered with cheese and bacon to top it. They were generous with the cheese yes but the bacon was js pinched and placed in the middle
I do not recommend this restaurant. I ordered a $22 dollar Ribeye and the meat was bad and it had no seasoning on it. It took 30 minutes to come out so I didn't reorder had to get back to work. I ate the green beans and carrots and they took off the steak but charged me for the veggies. Not going to waste my money here ever again.
What has happened to Cheddars???? It’s been a while since I’ve been there. Went tonight much to my disappointment. My food was HORRIBLE!!! Ribs were dry, green beans were mushy, salad full of stems and strawberry lemonade tasted like water.Sad!!!!! Returned it all, and was not charged. We ont be returning 🫤
Wouldn’t recommend eating here if you’re going with a 7+ party, they’re so unorganized. Waited 30 minutes when they had told us they were getting out table “ready”. Also told us the manager was coming to assist us and never did. The hostess was also incredibly rude starring us down and rolling her eyes.
I ordered sirloin steak medium rare came out RARE. Waited server grab a plate to recook my steak which is sound NOT FOOD SAFETY at all since Im also a cook and server at multiple different restaurants and then I had to waited 20 MINUTES for my server came back said Im gonna go check on your steak. She came back after another 5mins with a WELL DONE PIECE OF STEAK. My point is how a cook at a restaurant like this so horrible? Came in hoping would have a good night out end up walk out with an empty stomach. DISAPPOINTED
Sadly our visit was not the best from the moment we got there. The server was almost upset she was even working. Maybe it’s just that day but as a server you aren’t supposed to have an unpleasant face or energy. Once we finally got our food, my friend noticed there was a hair in her food and she was given an extra piece of chicken when she specifically said she only wanted one, then it had gravy on it and she did not ask for that. So of course we call her over to let her know and she seemed even more frustrated from an inconvenience we couldn’t prevent. She took her food to re-do but we did tell her we didn’t want to wait too long for it since the rest of the party already had their food. She said she will rush to bring it right out. She was gone and didn’t check in for a minute so we found another employee to let him know to just cancel that order and we needed our tab/ticket, he’s another one that had an irritated facial expression. I felt the need to then be a damn Karen which I didn’t want to do, but I called over the manager just so he is aware of what happened. He did apologize for all of it. Server then came back to give me the tab, she mentioned they took off the order that had a hair on it but she tried to get me with doubling my order on the ticket. Glad I caught that. Let’s just say we won’t be coming back. A lot has changed at this location not just staff but food does not taste well. Please do better. I dislike having to write any kind of negative review (I don’t even think I have ever written one). It was also not busy at all for them to have such attitudes. I don’t need super happy go lucky servers but man, was this unpleasant.
My family and I are frequent guests at Cheddar’s, as it has always been one of our favorite restaurants. Unfortunately, during our most recent visit, the service we received was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, the experience declined quickly. Our server did not introduce herself, and we did not learn her name until the check was dropped. I ordered a margarita and requested that it be made with top-shelf reposado. The server appeared unsure, stated the drink was premade, and said she would bring a separate shot. After clarifying my request again, the drink was brought with blanco instead. We then went approximately 20 minutes without seeing our server. When she returned, she rushed us to order. I ordered the bourbon-glazed salmon and shrimp with a baked potato and broccoli. After another long gap with no follow-up, our food was delivered by a manager, who also refilled our waters. Our server briefly passed by, asked if everything was okay, and walked away before we could respond. When I was finally able to speak with her, I explained that my meal was missing the shrimp and that the salmon had no glaze and was very dry. She told me I was mistaken and insisted I had only ordered the salmon. I calmly explained that I was certain of my order, as I had discussed it with my husband. She then walked away and returned with the check without resolving the issue. After requesting a manager, the shrimp was eventually brought. When I spoke with the manager, Josh, he stated that he was busy and asked me to hurry while explaining the problem. He then asked what I wanted him to do to fix it, again emphasizing that he was busy. There was no apology, and the interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. Overall, the experience was far below the standard we expect from Cheddar’s. Instead of feeling heard, I felt blamed and brushed aside. I hope this feedback helps address these issues going forward. Not to forget the horrible sewage smell. Thank you for your time.
The food was awful! Went for a birthday dinner. The birthday girl ordered the Steak and Chicken strips meal with loaded baked potato. The steak was like beef jerky. She had asked for medium rare. It come out like jerky. They took it back. It took 30 minutes so by then her food was cold, mine was also for waiting in her to start eating. My potato was raw and steak overcooked. But didn’t worry about that. So…. The her steak finally comes back. It come back rare. By then all we can do is laugh. We realize the dinner is just gonna be awful and a total birthday flop. the waiter was awesome. I feel bad he has to wait tables at a place that is going to make his job hard. The cooks were awful. Leaving a photo of the rare steak. I’m sure you can tell the potato is hard. Will not go back! Never! And we use to love coming here.
