Great food, pleasant and polite staff, awesome tortillas. Neat to watch tortillas made. Clean as always.wiped down tables and always wonderful staff.
My third time visiting Rosa's Cafe I live in California and I am visiting Texas I ran into this great restaurant 3 years ago and continue to visit it on a regular basis Taco Tuesday is the best and I highly recommend this fine eating establishment one of which is located in Central Texas
This was the best chicken enchiladas. Honestly after eating in Denton and Frisco. I would rank this location top notch. Best seasoning I've had in a long time. Usually the chicken is underwhelming. Great food. Thank you!!!
I love the chips hot sauce and the heese dip. The fresh Tortillas are hard to beat as well. The staff at the drive threw that day a little muted and rude but that rarely is the case. I will always go here for those things I have mentioned.
I really do enjoy the overall service & food from Rosa's! I mainly pick up from the drive threw, and I can honestly the experience has been very positive. The only thing is the prices have gone up, but I do understand this comes with the times of economic strain for most businesses out there. With that said, they do their best to compensate with added portions or an abundance of new dishes to the menu. I will definitely stay a regular and show support to this business. Thank you, Rosa's of Waco !
Took a little longer than usual to get food, but it was delicious
Awesome place to go eat the staff is friendly they're fast and it's not very expensive four of us ate there and it was under 60 bucks
Our favorite place to eat. Food always good, workers are always friendly. We love it here, thanks to everyone who works here, you guys are awesome. At 1 time there was a cashier who knew exactly what my husband was going to order. So I'd say they go beyond thier job expectations. 😊 THANKS I'll take pics of delicious food next time, was too hungry this visit 🤣
So good. Cant wait to go back
Fast and flavorful food! Clean restaurant, good selection of salsas, pico and peppers.
Price is VERY reasonable. But most notable is the freshness & quality of their food and service is awesome!!!! Possibly, you could get a better grade of meat, but you'd pay 3X or 4X for it.... and these days, I think we can all appreciate greatly quality food (not stale or greasy) food and great service (not a teenager throwing a bag of food at you and not even making eye contact with you) they remembered my grandson and he'd not been there (moved to MT) for 2 years. Try this place and you'll come back. Maybe even bring friends and buy their meals.... you can afford it! PS.... Their frozen margaritas are pretty good.
I had to place a large order for favor delivery. The manager on duty that day is very much appreciated. He stepped right in and helped make the order to get me in and out very quickly so I did not have to keep the customer waiting any longer than necessary.
It has been a while since we had Rosa’s so we were ecstatic to get here! Everything is so good and priced reasonably.
I love this place. It's fast my food 😋
I was at your Waco- Franklin Ave location. I ordered the crispy taco plate (which I've done several times) and added fajita beef instead of ground beef, with only lettuce. The cashier told me that she could do it, but it would be a $20 upcharge. I need someone to let me know if this is accurate and, if so, why it is. It's already ridiculously priced for fajitas when they only give you a couple of pieces of meat. I expect an uncharge, but...
I love their nacho salad! It's a lot of food and is priced low. Their salsa bar includs 4-5 different salsas, pico de gallo, jalapeños, & lemons.
The best chicken tamales I've had in a long time. I ordered cake and didn't get it. Do use the drive through I guess. Other than that, the good was awesome. A little pricey but worth it. I has a lot of food for 32 dollars. Lots of parking.
I meet a group of friends here every Tuesday, Taco Tuesday. Usually crowded, but their method of service is very efficient, so you generally place your order and receive your order rather quickly. Sometimes, when so crowded, one may have to wait for a table to accommodate your group, but the cleanup folks are courteous and fast. The food is very good. The atmosphere is loud and not a great place for romance, but it's great to meet your friends to have a good reasonably priced meal.
So good and the food never disappoints!
Food fresh and hot homemade tortillas the best. Staff friendly.
Great food, great salsa bar, and friendly staff.
I came here a few times during my college days, and decided to drop by while passing through Waco recently, and was happy to see that this place is just as good as it was back then. The food here is delicious, filling, and not expensive. The decor is vibrant and wonderful and lovingly themed as well.
I love Rosa's! Taco Tuesday is the time to get your taco dinner for 1/2 price. They make great flour tortillas. And good sweet tea. That's important for me. The food is always good and fresh.
Beautiful details in decor, authentic Mexican food that appeals to everyone (add your own hot at the salsa bar), you can stand and watch the tortillas come off the line. Don’t mess having a hot tortilla with honey on it….delicious!!!
Best breakfast I’ve had in my twenty-one years of living. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT RECOMMEND!!!
We eat breakfast here (usually takeout) every week. Delicious food, great salsa, and quick service
Wonderful tacos salad picked up to deliver to family unable to get out. Loved the service and able to get sides to go!
Good food at a great price! They’re also very fast, even when they’re busy!
The food is always good. Tonight I had the nacho salad with Beef fajitas on top. Wish it was bigger but was good. Everyone here is Friendly and always has a smile on there face.
First time here and I loved it. Yum food, relaxed atmosphere, great staff. Will definitely be back..
Love the atmosphere and music. The toppings bar with salsa, limes, pico and large jalapeños is great! The breakfast burritos are good, if a little small for Texas standards. Order 2 to fill up.
I love taco Tuesday here! Everything is fresh and tasty, the serving sizes are good, there's so many options. Definitely recommend!
I haven’t been to Rosas in years! And I ordered the wrong thing, and they Corrected it with a smile. The rice and beans were super yummy. I hope to be back as soon as I can and this time, I know what to order.
Rosa’s Café and Tortilla Factory is a true gem in Waco! From the moment you step inside, the vibrant Spanish and Mexican-inspired art and décor set the stage for an authentic and festive dining experience. The atmosphere is colorful, welcoming, and full of character — it feels like a celebration every time you visit. The food is equally impressive. Generous portions, bold flavors, and that unmistakable Tex-Mex flair make every dish satisfying. From fresh tortillas to hearty plates loaded with flavor, Rosa’s delivers consistently delicious meals that leave you both full and happy. The combination of lively décor, friendly service, and outstanding food makes Rosa’s Café a must-visit. It’s the perfect spot for family dinners, casual outings, or anyone craving authentic Tex-Mex in a fun and inviting setting.
I have eaten at Rosa's Cafe all over Texas....the food and service are always been consistent at every one. Fast service always! Big menu with great dishes. I recommend the fresh tortillas...made on site hourly....you can watch them being made! Stop in and try a dish.
Not a typical "sit down" restaurant but great tasting food. Definitely better than your typical fast food. I look forward to stopping here each time m in Waco
I always buy take out at this Rosa's and the food is always good. I tried the smothered burrito combo for the first time and it was delicious. It came with 2 tortillas. Their tortillas are the best. If you know you know.
This is such a beautiful place. I loved all the Spanish decor that was used. The walls have paintings of mexican folklore, accented with balconies decorated with colorful flowers & greenery. There are booths all along the walls big enough for 6pp and tables of four or 6pp in the middle section of each side of the restaurant. Dividing both sides of the restaurant, they have additional booths devorated with a ceiling full of guacamaya birds & lizards. The colors used all over the restaurant are so vivid & bright making this place so inviting. This restaurant is big enough to hold approximately maybe 150pp inside, plus they also have an outside patio area if you choose to dine outside. They have a beverage area with two fountain machines and four iced tea canisters. There is also an additional fountain machine across the other side of the restaurant. The staff here is friendly, which is an added bonus. And they have a drive-thru as well. The location is also great, there is plenty of parking available, and it is handicap equipped.
Today, my wife and I indulged in a delightful Taco Tuesday experience at Rosa's Cafe & Tortilla Factory. Our appetites led us to savor two delectable Taco Tuesday specials, accompanied by a refreshing margarita. Remarkably, this satisfying meal came at a mere $22, showcasing the unbeatable affordability that Rosa's consistently delivers. The consistently friendly staff added to the enjoyment of our visit, always ready with a welcoming smile. The tidy and well-maintained environment further enhanced our dining experience, creating an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation. Rosa's Cafe & Tortilla Factory has secured its spot as one of our local favorites, thanks to its flavorful Mexican fare and inviting setting. The delectable offerings, combined with the warm ambiance, make each visit a pleasure. For those seeking a memorable Taco Tuesday outing or simply a flavorful meal, Rosa's Cafe & Tortilla Factory remains a stellar choice. Cheers, Draven Loa
Not a huge fan of Mexican Food, but going to Rosa’s was a huge treat. I enjoyed everything I got! We got the chicken fajita plate, it was so delicious! I had more than my fill, plus I got to take some home! Just remember if you want extra sour cream and if your meal does not come with any, there is an extra charge. The whole family is in love with Rosa’s Tortillas! They had quick table turns on Sunday and was a wonderful time to eat and dine with the family 7 plus 2 kids. They just started serving breakfast. Also, there is no lunch specials. Thanks for a great experience!
This is a fast food Mexican restaurant! It is a basic menu but I thought it was very good. It’s quick, hot, & the salsa and pick are made fresh... at least it tastes that way. The servers are nice! Restaurant looks clean and it, as you can see, is so colorful! I also like that they have photos of the food. I hope you like it too.
With the exception of the tortillas, the food was great. I found the tortillas to be rubbery. Other than that, I have no complaints. The taco meat had a great flavor. I didn't expect the meal to come with refried means and rice. They both had great flavor. I also got the carrot cake. It was very good.
The food and service we great. The only thing I could say that was less than desirable was that the tables are trimmed in wood and the wood is older, and they have become sticky feeling. We even changed tables several times, and all the tables were the same. It could be their cleaning products or maybe it's just time for an update.
Generous portions of freshly prepared foods and house-made flour tortillas. The crispy chicken taco plate was as good as they get, and the Tacos al Carbon were above average. The relish and salsa bar was well stocked with goodies to compliment your meal.
Rosa's offers the most generic Mexican comfort food you can find. So why four stars? Because sometimes a bellyful of generic Mexican comfort food just hits the spot!
Basic Mexican food, but fresh and very good value. Service is always pleasant and pretty fast. Have been in 1/2 dozen locations, and they've been consistently clean & comfortable. Beats the heck out of any of the lesser priced Mexican chains!
The place was clean, it's Taco Tuesday promotion day, my order came out quickly, the food was hot and of good taste, my order was 2 # 27, a taco salad and 6 slices of cake, just one detail that I didn't like, I needed more tortillas and I tried I bought a dozen but the cashier denied me that they couldn't sell tortillas or a big disappointment. This takes away one star for being an excellent visit today. 🫥
Fun place to go! Great food for the price
Pretty good fast food Tex-Mex. And the drive-thru moves very quickly. It would be nice if they figured out how to balance having a quick drive-thru and also not making you feel rushed and annoying at the window. There is a way to do both. And if you pull up a little too far from the window don't think they're going to meet you halfway and reach your things out because they literally won't. They will hold your items right inside the entryway of the window so you have to dive out of your car to get them 🙄
The thing I really enjoy about this place is the taste of the food is always consistent.
Parking was easy and plentiful. Food is good. Most importantly, you get your food fast.
I love the quickness you can get in and out if you need to and it beats a lot of other classic Mexican restaurants
Delicious Mexican comfort food. Ordered a burrito that was heavier than a car and have never been so full and satisfied, and the price was the best part. This is the place to go to get a quick meal after a long day.
Cafe Rosa is a blend between a fast food restaurant and a regular restaurant. I like the ease of placing an order and then picking it up minutes later. Serving portions are just right and there’s no skimping. The value for your money is great and that’s why we would tend to go to Rosa other than some other Mexican restaurants. The only drawback that I found is that the food is not piping hot like normal Mexican restaurants, Where the server Place your plate down on the table holding the potholder. The chips unfortunately are stored in an open container rather than a heated bin and so they’re not as crisp, hot and fresh. Oh, and you don’t get free refills on your chip basket.
We eat breakfast at the restaurant and the prices are good, salsa bar is great. I have 2 complaints that 1 is aimed at the scrambled eggs. They are way to salty, I've spoken with management about this but it is part of the family recipe. I inquired as to the needs of customers whom may be on sodium restrictions but responded that their hands were tied. The management and staff are friendly. The other complaint is the artificial flora they have is very dusty and if sitting under a section above you when the A/C turns on the air disturbs the arrays and causes dust, dander to fall down onto the diner, get in your food and drink. My suggestion is to get rid of it all. Overall it is an affordable eating establishment for the Tex/Mex food lover.
Ordered chicken fajita nachos and the chicken was cold, not room temperature cold, just like they grabbed it out of the fridge
Used a coupon for a free burrito didn’t get the burrito. How bad at your job you gotta be that you can’t put a burrito in a bag. Fajitas was straight
Food would get a 5, but the taco meat & rice have onions in it. Not everyone like onions. The tacos are good unfortunately I have to constantly pick onions out the meat & rice.
I have mixed feelings about Rosa's Cafe because I really wanted to like this place. Upon entering the front counter area, I first noticed it was super colorful with cultural inspired decor indicative of a Spanish influence. So I was anticipating eating some really delicious food. I ordered the Tres Amigos Enchilada Plate with a hard shell beef taco. The food was semi bland and very weak on flavor. The plate came with rice and beans and it was quite boring. I had to add the very flavorable salsas they offer you, to give it a boost of excitement. They had a traditional red salsa and a green one. The green one tasted fresh, popped with flavor and made the overall tasting experience manageable to eat. I will say that I wasn't at all impressed like the other high praised reviews on their restaurant website. Although the decor is pleasant to look at, the music was calming, and there is ample seating provided, the food was at least to be desired and this is simply a Tex-Mex of a sub par fast food chain. For some guest this would be great, but for me I was hoping for more. And as a side note for safety, the booth seats will move out and away from you when you go to stand up. Please be careful. Photo provided for reference.
You call this Mexican food 😂? Nope, it’s just chicken with salt and pepper. Whoever made the ingredients for this chicken should be ashamed to call this “Mexican food”. I’d cook this a lot different and I’m not even a chef in any way. Felt like a fast food restaurant more than a Mexican restaurant. Just zoom in on the food and tell me with a straight face this looks seasoned? Also no salsa verde, this would offend half of Mexico! Not returning.
Tried really hard to understand this place... from the outside looks like a nice restaurant. From the inside, a nice restaurant. But then I realized you order from the bar like Taco Bell and the food choices are like Taco Bell and the customer service is as friendly as... well a little ruder than Taco Bell. When we asked for assistance since we hadn't been here before the girl at the counter was very unsympathetic. I suppose we ended up at a fast food place by mistake.
I made 2 to-go orders and they got both of them wrong. I’m annoyed. I got to my destination and opened my breakfast tacos and they were all wrong. Tasted good. But not what I wanted, not what I ordered.
Boring, flavorless, fast food tex-mex at restaurant prices.
I went to order the taco Tuesday",The meat needed some season. I ordered one dozen of flour tortillas, I got corn factory tortillas, the ones you can get at HEB. They usually give honey for the flour tortillas that come with the order of tacos, but they didn't put any. I called the manager to let them know so they can make sure to get the right the orders, I didn't even mention anything about the the unseasoned meat. I was being polite, and he just hung the phone. I had drove a few miles just to get there.
Everytime I come yall have some issue. Today it was cash o my in drive thru got stuck in a long line from it then had to go inside too 15 minutes to get a order of rice and beans and a dozen flour tortillas that they squished in a small brown bag and when asked if I could have it in a plastic bag it was like they didn’t understand what a plastic bag was. Took me having to explain that I hate that they squished the fresh tortillas into a tiny bag with other items and she still couldn’t give me plastic bag so I handed her the brown bag back and walked out with containers in hand since she clearly could not understand. She also wouldn’t call out order numbers just stared at me until I asked if it was my order. Like come on it’s not that hard.
You have one job at the window! I ordered breakfast plate and the failed to give me tortillas. It clearly stated on menu, two tortillas provided. This is the 2nd time this happened. One job!, slow down and take notice
The last time we went, our order was made. Worng was charged for things that we didn't get food was thrown together when I called to complain. Manager took my receipt and named down told me I could come back and get remade sometime that week. When I came back four days later to get remade, they act like they knew nothing about it and the manager i spoke with the 2nd time was kinda rude its sad really like going here but recently bad customer service and food quality im not sure we will continue to go here
The wife and i came for breakfast, chili verde plates, they gave us bowls, Not what we ordered... went to talk to the manager,Angel C, she was very rude with my wife and was acting like it was our mess up.. just gave attitude... food came with literally 2 pieces of meat inside... will not be coming back to this place... sorry but its their loss...
Got our order in drive thru, ordered 2 #55 & 3 #23 with jalapeñosin the side, unlike other restaurants serving tostados where you can taste and feel the texture of the refried beans, these were soggy, refried beans had a sauce texture :( I had to use a fork to eat a tostado. Geez!! So much for a crisp corn tortilla. No jalapeños on the side and the wrapped in paper tortillas were cold. Now I know why it's been SO long since I've eaten at this location. Really? We can't do better??
Not actual mexican food, it's the mcdonalds of mexican food I guess... reviewing on a scale 1-10... Tamales - 2 Enchiladas - 2 Tostadas - 5 Taco - 6 (add cilantro and onions) Rice and beans - 8 Salsa - 3 Tortilla chips - 10
Anyone else see anything wrong with this picture? And there response is that the next time I come in they will make it right by making me a new one at no charge. At no charge? You are not doing it for free if I already paid for it... and now I have to waste my gas to fix your problem...
This is the absolute worse Rosas ever!!! The lady at the window was rude!! She got mad when I asked for my drinks… and asked me what I ordered’ I said tea.. you took the order.. then she got mad when I asked for straws.. she acted like she hated her job… she should not be around people!!! And the food!!! OMG… look at pictures.. I’ve never been to a worse Rosa’s…. NASTY!!!!!
Dont want to pay high price and have to order from a counter.
The rice and beans and guacamole were good, but the cheese enchiladas were awful and difficult to eat, and it made me sick to my stomach for a couple of days. I will never go back there.
So went thru drive thru . Place order should have know it was not going to be good when the stuff did not come up on screen. Got home and order was all wrong. Also called to let them know and the person was not really concerned. Did not get all of our food. While setting at the window they were more interested in talking and laughing then wait and preparing the food. So I guess from now on I will have to go inside to place an order.
They mess my order up after I clearly said I wanted meat and cheese only how do you mess something up that bad
