Incredible setting high atop a four story brick building in downtown Walnut Creek. Incredible food centered around a large 3 sided bar that serves patrons food and drink. Lots of tables available in addition to the bar serating area. Great place for a date or to socialize and meet new friends around the large wooden bar. Great Atmosphere!

Great experience from the beginning. The rsvp system was good, checked in and waited only few mins. Service was decent, menu was small but enough because the variety hit all areas of what people would order. The portion size plus the price was great. Definitely recommend this restuarnt.

Only tried their drinks and appetizers which were both really good. Spent hours here just talking it’s definitely a comfortable place to chill. We got seated by the edge which was nice because you can see the street view.

Went today on a date with my boyfriend, our first time being here. The stars alone say it all, the view was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the food was yummy! I will only note that while they have heaters for the balcony seats, I personally didn't feel the heaters at all, today in particular was windy ( I regretted not bringing a sweater) and of course the temperature outside is at no fault to the restaurant, just something for future patron to keep in mind,not you get cold easily like me, just bring a sweater for just in case even if you end up not needing it. But everything was great despite the chilly air, we'll hopefully come back in the future!

decent rooftop bar/restaurant. Even though it's offers a clear and unobstructed vantage point, there isn't much to see in Walnut Creek. They have nice staff though.

The atmosphere is absolutely awesome, especially in winter. The service quality and time are great too. Tables and chairs are typical. I had the Baby Gem Salad; it was very normal and nothing special about it. I had the Truffle Fries; honestly, I did not like it. I had the Rooftop Burger; it was thick, juicy, and absolutely very good.

My overall experience at Rooftop was pretty decent. However, there was some miscommunication before we arrived. I had spoken with someone on Instagram about bringing a large group, and they made it seem like it wouldn’t be an issue. But when we got there on Sunday, 1/12, for our leopard-themed women’s event, we learned there were specific rules for large parties. According to the manager, Allie (if I’m not mistaken), we would have needed to pay extra for a private room, and we couldn’t be seated until our entire group arrived. Despite the initial confusion, Allie was really accommodating and handled everything well. In the end, about 10 of us showed up, and we were seated at the long table near the door. Due to the restaurant’s staffing limitations, any additional guests wouldn’t have been able to sit with us. Aside from that, the experience was great—the ambiance and atmosphere were fantastic, and we had a good time. The food was delicious! I only had the cauliflower, but it was seasoned perfectly and absolutely fire. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meals, and everything looked amazing. The drinks were also really good! I had the cucumber drink, which was refreshing, but I think it could have used just a pinch more alcohol for the price. Big shoutout to our waitress she was cool and checked on us regularly. I highly recommend Rooftop!

So we went here because of a video we seen on Tik Tok. The video shows the whole rooftop vibe and it was cool. They had a DJ but he didn't know how to mix and the music was all over the place. That was ok because I didn't go for the music. The food is what got me. The truffle fries were really good. The drink's were good. Now for the main course we both had the short ribs and they had no flavor at all. Very bland. I had to ask for both salt and hot sauce to make it better.

I have wanted to come here for a long time. It was a last minute opportunity. The hostess was kind and accommodated my party which I appreciated. The food was just okay and the service was just alright. On weekends, they charge a mandatory 20% gratuity which makes me think since servers already know they’re getting that tip, so there’s no need to try. The food we ordered was the chicken karaage, vodka pasta, wedge salad and rib eye. In my opinion the best dish was the salad, which had a hair on it but they replaced it. This place is probably better for suited for those who want to experience a cool night life with a few cocktails and light on the food.

Came in thinking it was a nice restaurant, ended up being more of a sports bar because of the football game going on for playoffs. Tons of screaming and cheering. That's okay not a huge deal, it's the last 3 mins of the game and there's not a ton you can do in that moment. I let lt pass. Food wise, was not bad for main dishes besides the Civiche was not good. Asked the server who was friendly about if they had cilantro on Civiche my gf doesn't like it and she said she would have them remove it. Got the dish only to have cilantro in it, also way too much white corn, very little fish (also white and similar size) made it seem like a tactic to make the customer think they got a decent portion for the $20+ dish. Needed to ask for an additional fork because the one I got had a piece bent pretty significantly. Napkins weren't that clean (tons of fuzz) and water glasses also not that clean It's extremely rare I write a bad review. Don't waste your money on this, the place under seemed better. ***************** Also, being charged an **ADDITIONAL 20%** JUST BECAUSE IT'S THE WEEKEND, they weren't busy either. For the whole experience we had was absolutely terrible. I don't recommend and will not be coming back.

# Disappointing New Year’s Eve at Rooftop **1/5 stars** What should have been a special New Year’s Eve dinner turned into a frustrating experience from start to finish. Our waiter rushed us through the entire meal, making it impossible to enjoy what was supposed to be a celebratory evening. The menu was extremely limited and uninspired—nothing felt remotely special for NYE. The real kicker? A mandatory 20% gratuity that was never disclosed upfront, charged to our table of just two people. When the bill came, that surprise felt like insult added to injury. My expensive ribeye was a disaster—riddled with thick, inedible fat and connective tissue. My guest had to leave half of it on the plate because it was simply too chewy to eat. For the price point, this was completely unacceptable. To top it all off, they seated us in such a poorly chosen spot that I didn’t realize until we left that my jacket had been getting soaked by rain the entire time. Rooftop should stick to what they do best: being a casual bar serving beers and calamari fritti. They’re clearly not equipped to handle fine dining or special occasions. Save your money and celebrate elsewhere.​​​​​​​​​​​​ even one floor down where Teleferic Restaurant is.

Absolutely horrendous. I went in with a friend this afternoon for her birthday lunch. The place was very empty, maybe 5 other people. We had the SLOWEST service ever. Ordered iced tea, from a tap. Not freshly brewed which is insane. My friend and I both ordered the salmon and while the salmon was cooked well, it was sitting in a puddle of sludgey sauce from a bottle that tasted like refrigerator. We sent those back. We both got salads and while hers was edible, my dumpling salad was not. The salad portion was warm and included wilted herbs , and surprisingly the dumplings were cold . I sent that back as well and didn’t dare to order a third thing. I really cannot say enough terrible things about this place . My first visit will surely be my last. We looked at the reviews and it seems like something has shifted in the last few weeks because there have been a lot of unpleasant reviews, unfortunately we didn’t check them BEFORE coming. We had to flag our server down, second round of beverages took 20 minutes plus. Asked for the check , 10 minutes plus later we got it. $125 later and we went to Slice House when we got downstairs
