1 of my favorite restaurants.. Food is always excellent, service is incredible and professional. Guarantee you will not leave here hungry. If i had to nit pick, sometimes its a bit loud inside.. it might be the acoustics.. Family setting, never felt rushed.. A++ reservations recommended

Have been here a few times……driving 45 minutes…upon recommendation from a friend. The restaurant never disappoints . Besides the giant portions, the food itself is delicious, prepared and cooked perfectly. We have brought other friends here and they agree. The leftovers, which we always have, taste just as good! Service has always been very good. Glen is an excellent waiter.

This place is amazing. the portions are huge for the money, and the service is top notch. the interior's ambiance is also very welcoming for both couples and for parties alike. give this place a try if you really want something awesome and something italian.

The food is excellent, the portions are huge and the service is great. Since it is impossible to eat an entire portion, think of offering half of the current portion size for half of the price. The dining room could use update to lower the noise level when busy. It's hard to have an enjoyable discussion when you can't hear each other. I know this comment will be taken negatively, but management should nicely remind parents to temporarily remove their children when screaming and running around the dining room.

The portions are unreal! Service was great, and the bread was fresh, warm and very tasty! Had Chili Calamari, cooked to perfection for an app. Then had Veal Scallopine Di Eggplant! Layered and topped with lots of mozzarella and red sauce! Fabulous! I ate about a 3rd of it, brought home the rest. The atmosphere just a bit loud, but you can't go wrong here for top quality at a reasonable price! I highly recommend it! Make a reservation in advance!

The main course was delicious and tremendous. The serving size was huge. We had the chicken parm and eggplant parm. I had the rice balls and was not pleased. The glasses of wine were filled high. The service was fantastic and attentive. The atmosphere is nice but it can be kinda loud and it wasn't even completely full when we went. Ill be back and if your looking for great Italian food this definitely should be near the top of your list.

Love this place! The portions are the huge, the food delicious and staff always kind. What else is needed?! You can share a plate but there is a fee so just each get a plate and save your leftovers for another meal :)

We've been here a few times. The food has always been great. Drinks nice and cold. Bread is fresh and warm. Service always good as well. Most recently we've had the linguine con vongole and eggplant parm. The portions are huge actually these are like 3-4 servings. You will have leftovers for sure. Glad we found this place.

Ken and his staff are incredible. My daughter introduces us a few year ago and i have not had one bad experience. Ken is so attentive. Not only to his customers but also to the staff, which makes a great team and it shows in the food they put out. We are addictite to the mussels in fra diablo sauce. Food took a while but was really good . The bartender andrea was nice. The portions are really good. Come hungry or be ready with leftovers.

Two of us went for lunch. There was a nice lunch menu, generous portions and reasonably priced . The service was very good. The complementary rolls and gorgonzola butter with roasted peppers and olives were delicious as was all the food. I will definitely go back again.

Our experience here was excellent . We arrived without a reservation being there was only 2 in our party we usually don’t wait long . We had a drink while waiting the bartender was friendly attentive and personable. Once our table was ready we sat and looked over the menu. Our drinks were brought quickly our break and salads were excellent and on time. Our meals were both delicious and the portion size was the biggest I’ve ever seen for a Zuppa de Pesce I had . It was a bowl Full of shrimp , calamari, muscles linguine and clams! See pictures which don’t do it justice .My fiancé’s meal was loaded with mushrooms and a full plate , no skimping here. I will return there again for sure , it’s well worth the half hour ride for us . Five stars all the way !

UPDATED::Apparently, this restaurant did not get the memo on price gouging. Portions are huge to include the glass of house wine. Prices are fair and food is very good. A grand slam of value and taste. Update: another visit when I travel to this area. Early bird special, a full plate of chicken Parmesan house salad, rolls and a side of spaghetti for $19. Not fine Italian dining but pretty darn good with unbeatable prices.

The food is awesome The only problem is sometimes the waiters don’t listen to what you ask for. Scallapini de Valdostano, should come with the mushroom brown gravy on the pasta to match the chicken dish, but they give you red gravy on the pasta that does not go with the meal makes no sense. You have to ask for the brown gravy which is the meal. We ordered 3 and the one to go came with the red gravy. When I specifically asked for the same brown gravy. They charge enough for the meal, just take that damn red gravy from that meal. IT DOESNT GO WITH THE MEAL!!!!!

What it might lack in ambience, it makes up for in food. The basic design and the place is rather simple, as Its former life it was a friendly's ice cream shop. But don't let the bland interior fool you. The food is superb and original in its menu selection, the portions are supersize, and the service is friendly and personal. I've eaten there 3 or 4 times and never been disappointed. Word to the wise though is they are usually over booked so try during off hours vice peak times andd days, or dine at the bar

I am new to the Hudson valley area and spent some time deciding where to order Italian food as I couldn’t get pasta off my mind lol. I quickly found Stephano‘s on yelp and decided to give them a try. My dad is from Italy as is the majority of my family so naturally I am very particular when it comes to Italian food. I have zero complaints. literally none. Nothing under 5 stars about the food, flavor, quality and packaging for a takeout order. I ordered the penne à la vodka, the orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe, arancini, and a side of meatballs. Our food came with salads and really hearty rolls/garlic knots. It was still piping hot upon arrival so I know it was super freshly made. I wish I took pictures of the food outside of their containers but I made sure to take a picture of how nicely put together the take-out order was! I am already thinking about what I want to order the next time Because everything on their menu looked amazing! Can’t wait to order again

What a wonderful experience my husband and I were lucky to get a table quickly. Ken and staff were outstanding friendly and made us feel like family. The food was fantastic and portions were generous. We are already planning our next visit !!

One of my favorite restaurants in Hudson Valley. Everything they make is amazing and the atmosphere and staff are excellent.

We stayed in Fishkill overnight. Srephano's seems to be a good neighborhood establishment. Plenty of good food. Everyone left with a doggie bag. Service was top shelf and a great wine pour. Five stars!

Stephano's never fails to provide you with great food and cocktails. You better make room in the fridge before you leave the house, for the plentiful leftovers !!

Fantastic restaurant. Ordered take out and we were pleasantly surprised (shocked really) at the generous portions. Also admirable is the inclusion of a side salad and bread with entrees. We had Chicken Parmesan and Chicken Piccata. Both were cooked perfectly. The salads were a nice size and mixture and they had creamy Italian dressing which is a favorite. The bread is phenomenal. There is a true art to bread making and they nailed it. The spread as well as olives and roasted red peppers were a perfect accompaniment. Very excited to return soon and dine in.

Loved the lights in the outdoor seating area.. set the perfect mood.portions served here are huge and totally worth the money! They start you off with the best bread and cheese spread with roasted red peppers and olives..the calamari was tender and served in a sweet Thai chili sauce. The chicken Marsala was delish, served with lots of mushrooms. I chose penne as my side. My hubby ordered the prime rib with Gorgonzola and blue cheese with mash. He liked it

I’ll admit, I was a bit upset when I first got to Stephanos. I made a reservation 6 weeks prior to Valentine’s Day, and there was a mix-up about the time. Nevertheless, they got us seated despite this issue. We were recommended a few dishes, among them their specialty short ribs. Holy crap, this food was excellent. I had heard about how great their food is, and those recommendations did not disappoint. The bread was phenomenal. The wine pours were bountiful. The entrees were absolutely spectacular. My girlfriend and I cannot wait to go back. Awesome service, and awesome food. Thank you, Stephanos!

Visiting the area for work, stopped here to eat after shift. It was amazing! Homemade dinner rolls, drinks were awesome and the main dish was great. Large portions so be prepared to take some home! Service was excellent I was really impressed by the fact that the appetizer came in less than 20 minutes. The calamari I ordered had perhaps the most delicious sauce I have ever had, there was this meatiness and umami taste that cannot be matched. The entrée came a littler later, but I’ll give it to them the wait was worth it the seafood pasta dish I ordered was definitely worth it and their portion sizes put Cheesecake Factory to shame. Hands down this is the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to, if you are in the area please check it out! Keep in mind you need to really set a reservation in advance.

The noodles was very soft and the sauce had a lot of flavor. The bread 🍞 that comes with the meal was fresh and hot. The mussels was excellent too. My husband and I were in town visiting family, and it was recommended to visit Stephano's for some good Italian food! What a gem of a restaurant! From the time we entered until the time we left, the service was impeccable and very attentive. The food was made fresh and was delightful to the palette. The stuffed Sole was seasoned just right and cooked to a perfect temperature, and the Chicken Parmigiano, my husband, said was very tasty. Portions were large, and we ended up taking half of our meals home! We will be back when in the area again!

I absolutely loved this restaurant! I’m an outta towner and I was thoroughly impressed with the bread alone! It came with olives and some sort of cream cheese and red peppers. Delicious! But the entree, Pollo Ala Scarpariello, was soooo good! Everything about this dish was absolutely delicious! Some of the other entrees that my family had was described as ok to good. So, as always, it depends on the person. But my dish was so yummy and I would recommend this place for sure. The service was also great!

We discovered this restaurant last year when we went to the Stormville Flea Market. We enjoyed it so much that when we returned to Stormville with friends this year, that we wanted to take them back to this restaurant. It didn't disappoint. The rolls, olives, and red pepper and olive oil that they brought to the table was such a treat. The beautiful salad was delicious as well. Since I'm watching carbs, instead of pasta, I got broccoli with garlic. It wasn't oily and it was very garlicky... Couldn't have been more perfect. But when I tasted a friend's ziti with their red sauce, OMG! I think that the next time I come here I have to get the pasta 🙂 I had chicken piccata which was good but probably too much butter, because when I warmed up my leftovers I saw how much butter had congealed. But they have many other good choices for main courses. One thing is the portions are enormous. One dish would be so adequate to be split between two people. Sorry nobody wanted to do that, however I had a delicious dinner again tonight. The staff was very attentive to our every need, whether it was filling the water glasses or bringing us another utensil after one fell on the floor.

Stephano’s delivers a solid Italian experience in a beautiful setting treated by an excellent staff that are quick and amicable. Their wine pours are the largest in the Fishkill area. Their food portions are out of this world so you should either take some to go or split a meal between two people at least.

Quite good. The portions are generous and hold up as great left overs, as you'd have to be a psycho or competitive eater to polish off one of these excellent meals in a single sitting. Gluten free pasta, is great, regular pasta is great, the flavor is spot on, and you get enough to satisfy your needs.

It looked like half of Fishkill seemed to having dinner here. The salad had a nice dressing, the rolls were a bit doughy. The spicy marinara was great.

Generous portions for the price, and you will almost certainly leave with leftovers. The layout leaves something to be desired, as it is more reminiscent of a brewery or food hall, and the voices of every table carry throughout the restaurant.

Popular Italian restaurant with huge portions of delicious food. Entrees served with a salad that is not that memorable but the salad dressing is good and the bread, served without having to request it, is delicious. My entree would easily have been 3-4 meals for me - it was gigantic (I am a small eater but still!)

The food and wine are excellent and abundant at very reasonable prices. What knocks off some serious stars is the atmosphere. This is not the kind of place to go if you want to have a nice quiet dinner with someone. This is the site of the old Friendly's on Main Street in Fishkill and the atmosphere is, sadly, about the same. Very loud and very plain. There are no booths, only tables with wood floors that amplify the noise even worse. The decor inside is nothing special. If they spiffed up this place this would be a solid 5 star. No one at my table was too adventurous with their ordering, Chicken Francese and Eggplant Parmesan. Both dishes were excellent. All entrees come with pasta and a salad. The wine was $8/glass as of 4/14/23 for about 9 oz of wine. You can also order a bottle for the table picking from a much more abundant selection of options. The bread served beforehand was good though nothing special or unique but certainly decent. Their house dressing is delicious. The pasta and sauce is excellent. They truly know how to cook pasta al dente. Dessert was also very good. Service was a little on the slow side although they were very busy. Personally I'd rather have service that is a little slow than feeling rushed. My big problem with this restaurant is the atmosphere. This truly could be a fine dining experience with a serious makeover that also addressed the noise level.

The food was good. Service ok. I ordered the zuppa de pesche, which was clams mussels shrimp and calamari in a white wine butter sauce. I've never complained about getting too much food, but this was ridiculous. It was basically a serving "for the table" that was enough to feed 4 to 6. Our waiter never said a word about portion size when I ordered. Our party was 2. Myself and wife who doesn't eat seafood. They literally gave me a buffet sized aluminum pan about 9x13x2deep full of pasta and seafood to take home.

Sorry to write this publicly as I would have preferred send a private email. Firstly, food was very good as was the service. The issue was that there was no heat on in the restaurant. We asked our server who pointed to his own sweatshirt and said "tell me about it," pointing at the guy at the reservation desk. We ate with our coats on. It doesn't take much common sense to know if people are comfortable they will stay longer and spend more.

I have ordered before and have been quite satisfied. However. The scampi was so overcooked it was pathetic. Brutal treatment to shrimp lol but it was really bad. So disappointing after getting some very decent meals. This one went straight into the garbage- shame on you Stefano’s

my review is reguarding the man that answers the phone calls when you call the restaurant. he is repeatedly rude on the phone for no reason. i said hi how’re you and he said no reply to it just “what can i do for you” uh ok. i said for my order i placed online can i please just have plain pasta for it and he said no i can’t alter any doordash orders at all cant take away or add anything and just hung up on me when i was nice and everything that’s not how you handle phone calls from start to finish rude. could be nicer to reoccurring customers. when all i was trying to ask for was plain spaghetti instead of red sauce on it, because i ordered chicken marsala and want to eat the spaghetti with it…

My husband and I travel to Vermont and stop in Fishkill 5 times a year, we try out different restaurants. Tonight we ate at Stephanos, I ordered lasagna, I have never eaten lasagna that was presented with a plate of sauce and mozzarella cheese. I could not eat it! The waitress asked if I wanted to box it but what would I do with it? She took it away, never said anything but we received 25.oo off complimentary on the bill. Never so much if a acknowledgement.

Food portions are HUGE. My son had chicken Parmesan which could have fed 3 people. I had Chicken scarpiello which had a crazy amount of garlic that I could not eat it. Our waitress was great. On the way out the man at the podium said everything is made fresh and made to order. I wish I knew this earlier. I threw out a $30 plate of food. Atmosphere was loud for a week night. Service was very good. Probably we I'll not go back though.

Let me start by saying I am not one to complain about a business. This is a place that we have visited many times. Food is great at times. the atmosphere is a little loud by a comfortable level and service, which is ok. Last night, we had the worst experience ever. There were 6 of us. The food came at different times , not all at once. I'm sitting there for several minutes for the rest of the food to show up. The waitress was reaching in front of my wife while she was eating on multiple occasions. The food was overcooked, and to top it off, we were asked to leave because they needed the table. Mind you, we were still drinking our beverages and finishing our desert. Rude and inconsiderate. This will be the last time we go there. There is no making up for this. Would like to give it 1 star. But being reasonable and generous.

We went here for Sunday dinner and we're seated right away. Although friends had recommended this restaurant, we were grossly underwhelmed. I had a glass of wine (franzia box wine as we found out later) and a mojito. The mojito was basically limeade with mint and we sent it back, and replaced it with a white wine ( see above). We ordered the Sunday dinner and the lasagna, with a side of meatballs. The gorgonzola salad that came with the meal was good. We are foodies and go to restaurants frequently. We found the sauce to be very bland and kind of watery. The meatballs were large and good. Portions were very large. The service was very good. And we took home the leftovers. However, here's where it got very bad. As we were walking to the car, we saw the back door to the kitchen was open. We saw a tub of sauce, open, sitting on the floor with a ladle in it! Do they scoop it from the ground to the plates? With the doors open, who know what may have been in it? We were disgusted, and should have requested a refund, as the meal was not cheap. I'm hoping that they contact me to make it right. Can't recommend this place. Gave the two stars for the service. I appreciate your response, but respectfully disagree. That tub with the ladle in it was clearly full of sauce...not a pot ready to be washed.

A few yrs ago we dined there and the food was outstanding. Was there this past week and was VERY disappointed. I ordered chicken parm, expecting chicken, NOT A CHICKEN PATTY. I was invited to go with others and didn't complain at the time because there aren't too many places they go to because they want separate checks, so I didn't want to ruin it for them. The service was excellent but I'm soo disappointed in the food.

I went there with a friend on a Sat. Potions of the food were huge. However, my friend asked for more sauce. They came out with a tiny dish of sauce. So so small and charged $3.50. I talked to Ken about it. I even said there was not enough sauce on my dish. He said we were the only ones that complained. I never had a manager charge for sauce or not please the customer. In fact the sauce they brought out wasn’t even enough. I have been going there for years. So disappointed in Ken’s response to us and the extra surcharge for sauce. All other restaurants do not charge for extra sauce.

Large portions, in fact way too large! Food is mediocre at best. They say food is cooked to order, but it came way too quickly for that. Also they are in a hurry for you to finish. They tried to clear before we were done and then asked for us to leave because others were waiting. We were only there for two hours. For dinner on a Saturday night, that is not a long time. Will not be back. Drove two hours for that!

I ordered the tortellini that were supposedly homemade and I am 98% sure it's the bagged stuff from ShopRite across the street. Same with the sauce. I paid $30 for what cost them $1 to boil. Service is fine - they replaced the off tasting chianti I got with cab sauv that was good. Tastes like Olive Garden at Il Figlio pricing. Won't go back.

Prices are fair and inline for the amount of food you get Its's loud in there and feels like you're sitting in a cafeteria. Maybe just get takeout and not deal with the noisy dining area??

I have eaten in Italian restaurants from through out Brooklyn Manhattan and the Bronx and being in my 80s that’s a lot of restaurants.Went to Steffono last night and the only way to describe the food is to use the word TERRIBLE. It’s hard to even say how bad it was. So if you plan on going out for Italian food do a Google search or else I promise you will be very disappointed. Vincent Roca

Only leaving one star cause I can't leave no stars. On multiple occasions, this restaurant has upcharged and added false charges to my dad's meals. He is so nice and an excellent tipper and this restaurant that he was loyal to just continued to do this. They would use dinner charges at lunchtime, charges didn't match menus and they charged for "extra sauce" on every meal despite no one asking for it. My dad has talked to them each time they do something like this and gives the benefit of the doubt but they just keep scamming. Check your receipts or better yet, support small businesses that are good for actually good for their communities. Shame on you guys

We tried the calamari/fried shrimp (over cooked) combo and it was disappointing. Our entrees were shrimp scampi (too oily, overcooked, too much sauce in general); lasagna (resembled a large mound with so much cheese and sauce we didn’t bother even trying to get to the noodles); chicken parm (again too much sauce and did not taste very good); penne alla vodka (bland and tasteless). The only pro to this place are the enormous portions but does that really matter when the food was not good to begin with. We spent well over $200 and barely touched our food. I’m sorry to say that I would not recommend this place and hopefully they can turn this around.
