I love this place. It's great for simple events. They have wonderful food. Atmosphere is great. Be sure if you arrive and are hungry in the evening, to order before 9 pm. Kitchen closes after that.

The food is excellent! The outdoor patio seating was very relaxing, waterfall and all! The cook even came out to meet us! I had the clam chowder & it was superb!!

We stopped in after a really rough day of driving, ending in car trouble that forced a pit stop in Weaverville. The awesome people working there (Matt, Tracey and Rachael) made us feel welcome and made the night much better. Even though the kitchen had closed, Rachael went out of her way to make sure we had food with our beers. We ended up coming back the next night for their 9 ball tournament and it was a blast. Their pizza is delicious and their beer selection was great. The staff at Tangle Blue are some of the best people we've met on our journey and we will gladly come visit again :)

I went in after work to see if they had food (not past 9pm). The man on shift was very polite and found something, and even told me not to bother with the change when it was time to pay. They have great wood fired pizzas, too. I'd go in for food after work more often, but I don't want to bug them for leftovers 1.5h after the kitchen closes.

What a great find! We randomly selected this restaurant on a road trip lunch stop and couldn't be happier :-) The food was delicious and the servers and staff all very friendly. At the time of this writing we are all under covid-19 restrictions so we found ourselves in an outdoor patio that was toasty warm through the use of a wood-burning stove and heaters. Great beer. We had the tri-tip sandwich which was excellent and the black and blue burger which was excellent. The kids had corn dogs and mac m cheese. The corn dogs come with two (!) ... so perfect for big eaters or to take one with you in case they get hungry on the road. The mac and cheese was definitely an upgrade from the box stuff you usually get served at restaurants. Creamy creamy and delicious with big pasta pieces that my kid chowed down on. If we ever find ourselves back in Weaverville we will be back! Oh and try the Trinity IPA :-)

Had a great mushroom cheeseburger and fries. One thing I look at when eating at a place is how many locals are patrons. At the time we were the only travelers. If you are in town I would highly recommend this place for it's excellent food and friendly service.

Edit 4.5.2019 Came to eat all you can eat fish at 4pm Kim was our server. We ate in the back service was quick and FANTASTIC ! 2.22.2019 We came here for the first time on a Friday night around 5 p.m. it took an hour and 15 minutes to get our fish however it was really good fish if you're hanging out having drinks then I would suggest this place however I don't drink and I don't particularly like loud places. That's why I only gave 4 stars.

Their Food is to die for. Excellent dishes. Fantastic staff. We usually order take at usually beginning of the month, we have had their clam chowder and the burgers, Jim loves the cheeseburger, and is a fiend for the onion rings, the chicken pesto sandwich is so good. Calzones are very delish. I love the spinach feta calzone is so wonderfully full of flavor and the tang of the is over the moon. It's monthly treat for us and we are going thru the menu one item at time. Definitely say it is a must eat at a place in Trinity County.

We were working out of town, so for the forestry dept, we were paving abs channing up campgrounds in hayfork and staying in Weaverville, so we would eat here sometimes, the burgers and margaritas are awesome and so is the people of Weaverville

I REALLY enjoyed myself here. The bar keep was very good at her job and made perfect drinks. She was also very friendly and asked me questions while I was there instead of just serving drinks and not caring about people. I felt at home here and the locals in the bar were very friendly as well and had nice talks with them. There's a couple pool tables and the juke box music is at a nice volume. The pizza is fantastic and can't wait to try other items on the menu. The place is kept clean and it's a nice inviting atmosphere. I will always stop here on my rides through for now on . Glad I finally found a great "Watering Hole" on rides/trips through Weaverville. Keep up the great work guys N gals!

Great place for burgers and pizza. Their food is consistently good, and they have multiple side options for everyone. Their selection of beer wine and spirits is fantastic. Lastly their outside seating area is pleasant and good for larger groups.

The bartender is a total babe and the girls who work in kitchen and tables are so friendly and beautiful. Always lively, always a great time, and the dood there is fantastic. We are very lucky to have such a establishment nestled right in the heart, here in our little town

Great pizza, decent burger, good beers on tap or in the bottle. Can't really ask for more than that but if you do, there's a pool table, a good daily pie, and exactly the kind of atmosphere you'd want (good mix of visitors and locals) from a local dive. Enjoy!

I had a good time here. I spent a lot of time living in the woods west of town and it’s my favorite bar to visit if I ever go to town. They have a piano and I got to play a few songs on it. The bartender was nice enough to let me borrow the key to it. You have to open the piano with a key! It was so cool!

Had an amazing lunch here, what a diamond in the rough!! You would never guess the wonderful surprise when heading to the back outdoor seating!! A waterfall, covered seating with a wood stove for year round comfort, great service as well as food, and best if all their Prices were Amazing!! This will be a long review. Which I hope might matter to people who really appreciate a detailed review that isn't generic or redundant. I just ate lunch here today. And I never leave reviews for anything, ever. But I had a perfect experience here in 2020 which is why I stopped in again today, in July of 2024. In 2020 I was up in the mountains working on our family property, getting it ready for camping and stuff. The property had been untouched for 30 years so there was a lot to do. I was 3 days in, and decided I really wanted to sit down and have a real meal prepared for me and eat at a real table. After eating camping food and being in the wilderness for a few days. So I drove down to Weaverville looking for a restaurant. It was a ghost town. Everyone and everything was shut down from COVID. Very frustrating. I pulled into Tangle Blue at the east end of town. The only place in town that was open. The lady who greeted me explained that the kitchen had shut down for the evening. She asked in a friendly way where I was from and what I was doing out here. When I told her about being up in the woods for a few days working on the property, she offered to go in the kitchen and make me something herself. She made me the best buffalo chicken sandwich I have ever had. Which is what I had again today. And it was perfection yet again! I love these small towns up here, the people, and the atmosphere. This Bar/grill is super friendly. Nice staff. Positive atmosphere. And amazing food. Maybe one day I'll actually try their pizza! Don't hesitate to support this business! You will enjoy the place and the food.

We were in Weaverville and it was late night and we called to see if they were still making food. The bartender Matt told us to come in and he would make us something to eat. He honestly BLEW us away. We had the best chicken wings and some fries with a cheddar beshamel with fried prosciutto and apples. OMG, it was so delicious. One of the best things I have eaten in so long. We came back the next night and he made us his own pizza and again, it was delicious. Rachael was also amazing and made me feel like I was with my best friends. Kudos to both Matt and Rachael. They will always have my business!!!

Last two visits were salads for me, and the ingredients were super fresh. Their house vinaigrette is also amazing! Definitely recommend and will definitely be stopping by anytime were through Weaverville at a meal time. Last couple of times they were cash only, and they do have an ATM on site. Such good food!

Loved the food and their back patio area with a cool fountain and games to play. It took a long time to do our orders and even longer to make the food but it was tasty. Honestly best thing I tried was Mac and cheese from the kids menu. There was alot of Flys around when we went as well sadly. There is pool tables here as well.

I had stopped by Tagled Blue on the way to the coast or back several times the last couple of years and absolutely loved it here. The patio and yard were great for families to get a nice little break from traveling. However, when I stopped here on October 1st, I was so disappointed to see that the patio was in disarray. The yard area where they have cornhole and other games was tore up. Broken things everywhere. It just looked as though the people that once managed it walked away or something. I was embarrassed because I talked the place up to my sister and brother-in-law, and it just wasn't the same. I do have to say that the food was still great.

The kitchen doesn't open till 11 even though the hours state they're open from 9am -2am which is very disappointing. The wait staff are mixed, quality wise. Some are great, professional and on it. Others are rude, apathetic, and nosey. The food is divided as well. The pizza isn't worth the money at all and doesn't hit the spot when fresh nor does it reheat well. The chicken is top tier though. They're amazing at making the crunchiness last. The servings for everything except the pizza are phenomenal. The flavors are delicious and fresh. The atmosphere is really sweet when there's kids playing pool while their grandparents have a social gathering at the bar. The ramp out front and the space inside make this place wheelchair friendly. The tables with stools are also game tables and there's drawers with chess and checker board pieces to play while you wait for your food which enhances the experience in my opinion. This whole town is really white though so be careful if you're a person of color. This town is part racist and part not. But it's obvious who runs the town and I'm sure that impacts the flavor of patronage to this establishment so beware.

The burgers are good and the patio area is great for dogs and children. There’s a nice fish pond and waterfall. Pool tables are inside by the bar as well!

This is our stop when we are heading to the ocean 🙂 we usually order Hawaiian pizza and kid's size of burger for kids. It's big so they can share. We eat outside where kids can play. The workers there are nice and Helpful.

We came here only for the Trailhead pizza. The service needs to be reorganized. We were told to sit where ever, so we felt like, how will they know we need to be served? At lunch time, there was 1 server for the whole outdoor deck, so waiting to be served took a while. Inside was a bar setting, not for families. Outside was nicer but you have to walk through the bar to get outside. I just took my kids and rushed through.

Food was great & reasonably priced, especially from TriniDeli menu. Sitting on patio, good atmosphere & tables at social distancing locations. Outside food zservers wore masks. Was extremely surprised that inside the people were sitting at the bar, next to each other, without masks. The bartenders were not wearing masks. People, without masks, were playing pool. Seems like local protocols were not being followed!!! That is why Tangle Blue gets only 3 stars!!!

9/2 Arrived 7:25 pm. Going out is a rare occasion, especially with kids. When we arrived, many tables were empty & only one table was waiting for food -outside. Large group & other table had been served. Had to wait over an hour for food!! Let customers know if it's going to take a while for food, give us the choice to stay or go when seating, especially with kids!. Server:Rachel and food was good-BLT, Burger & Pasta. Departed 9 pm.

Limited menu options. If you like pizza and burgers, it's a great place for it. Servers are fun and friendly. We frequent occasionally. Would recommend. They also have pool tables and music.

I would rank this higher if I could. The place is nice, the patio is a great place to sit and eat and drink, but I had some of the worst ribs I've ever had just now. They said that they smoke them on site, but they kind of looked boiled to me, and the sauce was served cold on the side instead of lovingly brushed on while cooking. Cold sauce plus grey ribs were a definite disappointment. My mom was with me and got the pizza, though. Get the pizza, they're great! That alone saved this from being a two star review.

They said that they smoke them on site, but they kind of looked boiled to me, and the sauce was served cold on the side instead of lovingly brushed on while cooking. Cold sauce plus grey ribs were a definite disappointment. My mom was with me and got the pizza, though. Get the pizza, they're great! That alone saved this from being a two star review.

He had chicken strips and fries. Said they were good. I had the combination pizza. This is a very thin crust pizza. Not at all what I expected. If I had known it was thin crust, I would have ordered something else. Now, I did not leave hungry as it did taste good. But not a lots of toppings as the crust won't handle a lot. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming. Hoped for something more.

Traveling out of town and the service was awful! The server got our order wrong and wasn’t even very friendly (I think her name was cam?), I mean at first she was but then she forgot our order cuz she didn’t write it down then brought out the wrong order (probably because she didn’t write it down) I think she knew it was wrong in the end and then when we asked for items like ketchup or ranch she got irritated (mayb she was too busy)but still not a way to treat customers for your mistake! service was also VERY slow! Don’t know if I would recommend this place….

The service was terrible. The burger was ok. The kitchen totally useless👎 ….. ate my meal and sat waiting for the other to come for 10 minutes before we decided to just leave. No offer of drinks on the house. No warning the kitchen was behind… They don’t seem to value communication with customers. Wouldn’t recommend unless you have a couple hours to kill.

Seem to be in a bit of a downhill slump for food, service and wait staff. I really want Tangle to be better. . This evening I was told it would be about 20 minutes before they could bus a table for me. (there were three vacated tables at the time.) Wait time for food has been really long on my last several visits. Certain nights of the week we've been turned down for to go orders. Hours are inconsistent. We have wanted breakfast and find they are closed. Hopeful they can turn things around. This place could be a gem in our town!

WE REALLY LIKE THEIR DAKINE PIZZA; HOWEVER, EVEN AFTER 2 YRS AND INFORMING THEM 3 X THAT THE WEBSITE STILL SHOWS IT FOR $12.99. IT IS STILL NOT CORRECTED. IT WAS MOST AWKWARD THE FIRST TIME, BECAUSE I WENT IN WITH A $20, THINKING IT WAS $12.99 PLUS TAX. IT WAS $22+, SO I HAD TO GO TO MY ATM DOWN THE ROAD TO GET MORE CASH. IT IS GOOD PIZZA, BUT SINCE THEY SEEM TO BE TO INDIGNANT TO UPDATE THEIR PRICES, WE HAVEN'T EATEN THERE FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS. WE HOPED WITH THE NEW OWNERSHIP IT WOULD BE UPDATED.....BUT APPARENTLY NOT. THANK GOODNESS NOW THERE IS ANOTHER PIZZA PLACE IN WEAVERVILLE.

Service and food preparation take way to long and can out in stages. Onion rings and fries before sandwiches. Drinks came after sandwiches. One person did not get their food until they told the server to forget. Then it came right out in a box. Roast beef sandwiches were more like lunch meat.

Don't go at lunch during COVID-19 restrictions. The staff are more concerned about to-go orders and folding silverware than greeting new customers who walk in. Waited 20 minutes before being greeted for a drink order. 8 personnel walking around, none of them wanting to take new tables.

Had a beautiful day. Then went to Tangled blue had not been in a few years. Was told to sit anywhere. Lady asked what we would like to drink I request water and lemon and asked what beer they had on tap she only knew 2 so my friend and I walked in to see. Got a couple of glasses received our what with no lemon, no big deal happens a lot. We sat and talked with other customers having a good time stopped the waitress a couple times to ask questions. It was a Thursday afternoon and it was not to busy at all which is what I prefer. It took her a hour before she saw me go inside to ask why we had not even had our oder taken I was told she just went to the table, I had a hard working day in the sun and just played some disc golf so I was pretty hungry I will say. She said there had been a mix up and she didn't know she was our waitress ,she had been the only one I had talked too. Said she was sorry and gave us some extra crispy fries for the wait. They were burnt and gross. Then told me they were out of pizza dough after 30 minutes earlier I had asked questions about the calzones . She was not nice as we were being told these things and we had sat there for over an hour. I'm not a angry person and have been a waitress myself. I haven't felt that disrespected in a long time.

Unbelievably rude lady running the front and checking customers in. We called ahead of time to reserve a table. We were told there was a 45 minute wait. After waiting 45 minutes for our Reserved table, we drove to tangle blue. We waited in line almost 20minutes to be told that there was now an hour and 45 minute wait time. Unexcusable! We called again the next night to order a pizza and were told we have to come in, order the pizza and eat it there, no take out allowed!🤔 They don't take credit or debit cards. No customer consideration, At All. I'll never go back here.

I ordered two steak dinners for delivery. When it arrived the driver spent a minute or two speaking to someone else in the parking lot, before bring my food to my room. There was no bread with the meal, 2 different salads that should have been the same, both were small. The side order of red potatoes were not red. The steak was cooked just the way it was ordered, everything was cold. The delivery driver handed me my food tied up in a bag, then left quicker then she arrived. All in all I will not be ordering from them again.

I hate to leave negative reviews but sometimes they are necessary. I’m visiting the town on business for a few days and wanted to try the food here since the reviews are high. The first day I visited 30min before closing (which I don’t typically do) but this is a small town and there aren’t many options. As I was walking up some people were cleaning outside and let me know they closed early and will be open the following day. Ok, all good I understand sometimes places close early plus I don’t like rolling up near closing time so all good. The following day I come back 2 hours before they close and the place is bare. 3 people inside, two playing pool and one at the bar staring off into space. I’m looking left and right for an employee when one of the persons playing pool asked if they can help me. I asked if they were still serving food. He hesitated and said he shut the kitchens down, kind of rolled his eyes and said he “could” fire the kitchen back up. I told him I didn’t want to be an inconvenience but and he visibly was a bit annoyed. After not feeling welcomed I told him I was good and decided to leave. He and the other guy playing pool followed behind me to smoke on the front porch. To watch me as I left. Thanks for the unwelcome 👍🏽. It really put a damper on my stay out here.

Tangle blue was not legit! Stopped in, was impressed by the menu. Yum menu items and good prices. Food was pretty good. Some dude greeted us literally at the front and was just literally so cool. Kinda wish we got him as the server though. The girl who took our table made me sooooooooooooo uncomfortable. She seemed really upset that I wasn't drinking that evening and I'm an alcoholic so red flag for me. Made me kinda feel like worthless because it seemed like she realized she won't be getting a tipsy tab or tips. I asked her to give me a low down of her faves on the menu and she seemed really standoffish and not willing to help. And gave me no descriptions that were helpful. I almost felt like she was just already pissed we weren't gonna be a cash cow. And it was extremely offputting. Please, if the man I met is not the owner, put him in charge and fire the blonde girl. I've been in hospitality and food for over a decade, that was just sad. And in fact made me feel like I got stiffed bad out of $50 for 2 pizzas and no alcohol. Also when I went to go get money from the ATM, I had no choice but to squish in between all these people who were just staring at me like I killed their kid and one of them had a dog that started growling at me... I love dogs but I've been bit before. Did I really have to get the thrill of risking my life right after dinner like that? Respectfully thank you for the food but based on how inappropriate the rest of the visit was, never again. I feel so bad for the cool guy at the front.
