We absolutely love Rudy's. The food is always fresh and tastes so good. My favorite are the ribs. Today they were especially busy getting ready for the Thanksgiving pick-up orders, but their counter staff was on the ball. Even though they were swamped, they were kind, attentive, and answered any questions we had.

I honestly think this is the best bbq in Texas. I have been here twice now -- once in Corpus Christy and now here. Both times, the BBQ was honestly the best I've ever had. I ordered the moist brisket, ribs, and jalapeño sausage. All of it was SO good. Also, we used the Tesla charger behind the place, which was extremely convenient and fast. If you want the best BBQ in the state, come to this place.

I've been coming to Rudy's BBQ for years and it's always a great time when I go. The food is some of the best BBQ around. The service is good most of the time, they offer military discount as well. The atmosphere is great, they have huge wooden table benches, good music, and a couple of tvs. This place is an awesome example of a great Texas BBQ spot! Rating 9.7/10

Dang good BBQ here in Texas. Consistent experience as with other Rudy's in Texas. Great food, fair prices, excellent customer service. Delicious food options, including all the smoked meats and BBQ side. If you love barbeque this is the place. Nice to have the Tesla supercharger in the parking lot, convenient. Great place, highly recommended.

Exceptional food and friendly service! We were visiting from out of town and stopped here for lunch and were not disappointed! The food was cooked perfectly and everything was fresh and well-seasoned. The turkey was moist and flavorful. My sister got a banana pudding that we were going to share but she had a bite and decided I needed to get my own. 😅 As a nurse, I was especially impressed with the large hand washing sinks lining the walls OUTSIDE of the bathrooms! We will definitely go back when we are in TX again!

Salem Monday

I enjoyed the meat, potato salad, and banana pudding. The barbecue sauce was absolutely incredible. The bread they give you is sadly just white sandwich bread, not even Texas toast. It’s very similar to spring creek but they don’t have fresh baked bread. The prices were a little steep for just regular barbecue and fixings but I’d eat there again for the sauce alone.

You walk in, order and pick up your food, then grab a seat. We ordered prime rib, moist brisket, whole jalapeño cheddar sausage, pork ribs, and baby back ribs. We also had potato salad, cream corn, and dessert. For 5 lbs of food, they gave us a loaf of bread and a free bottle of sauce. They also serve breakfast from 7 am to 10 am. The best meats were pork ribs, baby back ribs, and the jalapeño cheddar sausage. Both of the ribs were flavorful and tender. Sausage was not too spicy, it had a nice kick to it. Moist brisket was okay, I’ve had better brisket. Prime rib was decent, it could be a little more tender and moist. It was kind of dry. Potato salad and cream corn were both delicious. Employees were nice and cut generous portions for us.

A fantastic little BBQ stop outside of Houston - ideal for a stop to/from the NASA visit. Had a healthy selection of their range and, hands down, the Moist Brisket is the best I’ve had in the US so far. Flavour to consistency to perfection. All in a friendly and good-vibe venue with friendly southern service. Give it a stop. - Value for money? Yes - Worth a detour? No - Best for (occasion)? Great bite when visiting NASA - Would I go back? Yes

First off, I love Rudy's BBQ. I go to Rudy's in Brownsville TX every week if not more than once a week, and they deliver a consistent product. But at this Rudy's, I had the worst breakfast taco I had ever had. I ordered the taco fresh, but it almost seems like they took one out of the warmer and modified it to meet the specifications of my order. It was an unpleasant experience. Hopefully they can learn from this and do better.

I used to eat here a lot and really enjoyed it. After being gone for a few years I was excited to come back. Unfortunately, I’ve been here twice in the last month and won’t be back. First visit the “moist” brisket was dry, dry, dry. I thought maybe it was just a mistake and I ended up with lean (even then too dry for brisket). Jalapeño sausage was good though. Second visit I watched them cut the point and serve it to me for my moist brisket. This brisket was not nearly as dry as the first time, but was maybe the worst brisket I’ve ever had. The bark was inedible. I literally spit it into a napkin. Maybe the first time I’ve thrown away brisket (I’m not that picky). Thankfully that jalapeño sausage was still good. Leaving the review in hopes this location can get back on track.

Really wanted to like this place… but it’s just NOT there for me. Came to kill some time while charging my Tesla. Food is great, BBQ sauce sucks (both flavors). I wouldn't even say it's a BBQ sauce, it's more like a spicy Cajun dressing. I ate the turkey sandwich, recommended by employee and it was delicious! Just disappointed about the BBQ sauce. I'll have to return to update review. Other than that, friendly employees & clean place for a quick pit stop restroom.

When we had came in, the lady up at the front had been very nice and told us we could get samples and order up front. From that point on it just got worse. First of all, the person taking our order had been annoyed when we had said it was our first time and didn’t seem too invested in doing her job. We had decided on what to order and so she gave us our food but while our food was being made we saw an employee chowing down on a piece of brisket with no gloves on. That was the brisket we were given. The building was nicely laid out though. We had been grabbing our drinks, sides and toppings before we sat down at either a strangely small table or a table too large, I took my first sip of root-beer and noticed that the soda machine most likely was never cleaned. I had ordered a pulled pork sandwich which was actually good, i took a bite from a piece of a brisket to notice it had been dry, fairly tasteless and also somehow filled the the flavor of lighter fluid and the remnant’s of the past 5 orders. We had to wash down all our sides with salt as well. Would not come again.

First timer/ last timer. The one star is only for the girl who welcomed us. She was friendly and explained everything nicely including to ask for samples, however the girl taking our order clearly did not receive the same training. When I asked for a sample of brisket she turned to her coworkers and said, “oh my god I can’t believe how many first timers I’ve had” and proceeded to angrily slap some samples in front of me while two of her coworkers snuck off around the corner with at least 1/2 pound of newly carved brisket and returned like two greedy chipmunks clearly storing up for a long winter. She proceeded to take our order as though we were the biggest inconvenience of her young life. The brisket tasted like it was soaked in lighter fluid and the three ribs we got looked like some kind of animal bone with a pink gelatinous mystery meat attached. I love bbq and wanted to love Rudy’s but I think I may have to become a Vegitarian after this experience. Thanks Rudys.

I do not like rating such good tasting bbq so low but the quality of food we bought for the amount we paid was way disproportional. We bought a pound of brisket, a whole sausage, patatoe salad, and creamy corn. The book was over $60 and if you see the pictures it was not worth it. The beef was nothing but fat. Whoever cut it should be ashamed they thought it was worthy to be served to someone. If anything it should have been out to shred to make sausage but not to slice and pass it off as beef slices. Sad part is that whatever beef we did get was tasty. The potato salad and creamy corn was good. We got so very little bbq sauce it's sad. I know you can buy their sauce but if you are buying their bbq you should get enough to go with your food. This place has just too much clout for what it's worth. I rather support a mom and pop bbq place than eat here again. Feel free to throw them your money but don't say you werent warned.

Excuse me, Rudy’s? What is this??? I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and it doesn’t even enough meat proportion for a child. I paid like $8-9 for this! If I wasn’t in a hurry to my appointment I would have went back inside. The bun size was tiny (like Chick-fil-a tiny) and the meat was the smallest layer of pork. 3 bites to eat this micro sandwich..
