Staying at the Courtyard by Marriott and decided to walk over and get take out both nights. The host/hostess were very welcoming and friendly. I was immediately taken care of both nights and my food was ready as promised. The steaks were delicious and sides were just as good. Highly recommend.
Really enjoyed this outing to Del Frisco's. I went with the Bolognese and my companion chose the steak frites. The Bolognese was perfectly cooked and both the meat and the sauce were perfectly seasoned. Generous portion and no room was left for dessert. The steak was a perfect medium as requested and very well seasoned. The fries were crispy and well salted. All around a stellar meal. Service was good. No issues. Attentive, quick and kept our drinks topped off.
Dinner outside on the patio with my wife and friends. It was a perfect evening to dine outside and Del Frisco's did not disappoint. They have a new summer menu, so we had to try the new Sticky Ribs for an appetizer, which were amazing. I then went with the chilled lobster Cobb Salad which was refreshing, light and delicious. My wife went with their always great Fish & Chips. We finished things off by sharing a coconut cream pie with everyone, which was just the right portions for everyone to get a few delicious mouth fulls the the delight.
Went to celebrate for my husbands birthday. Our server, Ava, was amazing and so kind! The food was absolutely delicious. The environment was quiet and comfortable.
My friends and I had dinner at Del fresco in Westwood on Wednesday, October 2. We had the best time ever. I’m a bit of a picky eater, but I really enjoyed my roasted chicken and mash. The service was phenomenal. There was a young gentleman by the name of Nick and he was training another young lady. Nick was very professional, courteous and extremely attentive to our needs. Additionally, he knew all the ingredients on the drink menu and what they meant! The best part of the entire experience was the dessert! Oh my God! It was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be visiting Del Frisco’s again hoping that Nick will be our server! He was fantastic one of the best service we’ve ever had and we visit often! Thanks for a wonderful experience definitely a five star for Customer service!
My husband planned a surprise 40th. The private room was perfect. The staff made sure everyone was well taken care of. The food and drinks were great! Highly recommend!
Please try the Stick Ribs like NOW! Everything was absolutely delicious. The truffle Mac and cheese was additive, steak amazing but, those ribs won the night for me. Incredibly tender, perfect amount of sauce, plus the waiter was great as well. I can't wait to go back!
This was a great experience today. We were a party of 2. We were greeted well and provided a table after a very short wait. All the staff were good from A to Z, including 2 managers stopping by our table and checking on us. We shared cheesesteak rolls for appetizers. You kinda get a on looong rolls, about 7 inches long, that is cut in half longitudinally and diagonally to give you 4 boat-like servings (see picture). It came with a cheesy dip, which was amazing, and a sweet and chilli dip. This appetizer was so great with it not being too hot or too cold, just the right temperature and the right crispy texture on the outside and soft and delicious cheesesteak flavor on the inside. We almost cancelled our entrees to just order more of this plate. We them got 2 NY Strip Steak, both done medium well. One with french fried with parmesan side dish and the other with zucchini parmesan side dish. Both sides were included in the price of the steak, which is a big plus. The steak was 16 oz piece on the menu, and what we got was indeed HUGE to a point that I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually more than that in reality. The meat was done correctly being medium well with just the right amount of doneness and dark pink to purple color on the inside throughout the entire piece. Even more amazingly the server insisted that we check the doneness before she leave to ensure that it's to our most satisfaction, and it was. There is enough char on the steak exterior that gave that yummy fire-grill flavor. The only comment I have on the steak is that I came across 3 bites that had more connective tissue that I would have liked to encounter. However considering the size of the steak I believe it's inevitable that you will encounter such a challenge, and hence I'm not taking any stars off because of that. Side dishes were good but not amazing. The zucchini side was actually good as it gave a good healthy feel as it was light yet flavorful with the parmesan crust. We them ordered the nutella bread pudding and the peanut butter chocolate pie, along with cappuccino and espresso. We were full but we still wanted to try them, so our judgement could be biased towards being full. Both essentially tasted good, but the PB chocolate pie was too heavy and oily after such a good meal... nutella pudding was a bit lighter and nicer to finish the meal. Coffee flavor was not robust, but just OK. Overall we felt we could have skipped the dessert and coffee and left with a more comfortable stomach. Although we paid a hefty ~$160 bill, I think it's worth the money. The steaks being 16 oz and having great quality and taste with side dish included at $48 is a very acceptable price for a steakhouse. We ordered 2 coke each at $2.95 is also very acceptable. Desserts at $9 each and coffee at ~$4 each is not bad. The cheesesteak rolls appetizer for $14 was a bit too much, but the flavor makes you forget the price. Overall good value for the money. Setting of the restaurant was great and full of business-casual level customers. It wasn't too noisy nor too dull, just the right amount of vibrancy. I'll give Stacy B, our server, a good shout out for providing a great service and made feel regulars. There were 3 instances that I wasn't fully satisfied during the visit. The first is that we weren't served water at all throughout the entire visit until we ended up asking for it when our throats became too dry from the steak and desserts. Also I asked for Americano but got espresso. Lastly the service was a bit slow, but we were bothered by it as we had the time for it, but we still wonderedat time of the spead. I don't think these were big deal, but it gives the restaurant a room for improvement. Overall I would highly recommend this place and the food there.
Five stars are not enough! Our server & bartender Johnathan was amazing and so kind. The food was insanely delicious, literally one of the best dinners we ever had. Drinks were perfect too! Everything was wonderful, I recommend dining here 100%!
The ribeye steak bone in is legendary here!! It’s the best you can get on a lot of different steak houses out there including Davios, capital grill, longhorn etc… this one I always want to get! Worth the price tag!
Another great dining experience at Del Frisco's, Westwood, MA. Everything was delish. The Cheesesteak egg rolls are a staple when even we go. I recommend making reservations. It got really busy after 5.
Andrea is an incredible server, super nice and knowledgeable. Made us feel like we were regulars even though it was our first time here. Food and atmosphere were exceptional as well. Will definitely be back. Visited on 1/29/26 for lunch.
Went there for my 40th birthday. We assumed it would be a nice restaurant experience but when we got there, we were immediately given such a terrific, warm welcoming and were taken great care of by the manager, Alex, and our server, Sloan. Atmosphere was upscale but not too fancy, food was amazing from start to finish. This place goes above and beyond to give you the best dining experience possible. We live out of state or this would be our go-to for any special occasion!
The service I received from Richie and Andrea was fantastic. I walked from a restaurant across the parking lot after not receiving service for over 20 minutes. When I walked into DFG, Richie greeted me and sat me. Andrea came through a short while later and engaged in the menu with me, helping me choose the perfect meal. Richie popped back up and also asked how everything was. The food was amazing and the service was even better. Thank you for helping me to leave full and very satisfied.
I came down with friends to this place, and it was really good. Their crab cake was really good, and so were the roasted egg rolls. I got the fillet mignon, and it was really good. The hand-smashed golden potatoes and the crispy Brussels were really good. The cheesecake was alright. It is a great place for big groups.
Incredible staff and service. Steak was perfectly cooked. Mashed potatoes were better than anticipated. This is a good place to eat!
Service was incredible, steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Sean the manager came out and was incredibly kind, definitely coming back soon.
Stacy has been the best is the epitome of great service. She anticipates your needs. She is there before you need to be there. She knew the menu inside and out she couldn’t have been better. Will come back just to eat with her.
We had a wonderful experience at Del Frisco's Grille, and a big part of that was thanks to Sean. He was an outstanding manager—professional, warm, and incredibly helpful throughout our meal. Sean made sure everything ran smoothly and went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and satisfied. It’s rare to see that level of attentiveness and genuine hospitality. Thank you, Sean, for making our visit so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!
The Holly Jolly Feast was indeed Jolly! We had a terrific Christmas dinner at DelFrisco's Westwood for the second year in a row. The welcome, the service, and the food were top notch. The atmosphere was festive, family fun filled. No one rushed us. What an absolute delight. From the minute we arrived we had so much fun.Thank you.
We celebrated our daughter’s birthday tonight. Our meal was phenomenal! We all had the filet for dinner and it never disappoints. Our waiter was Sloan and he was fantastic. Gave us great recommendations on drinks, apps and food.
We love your server Sloan, has a great personality, very knowledgeable, outstanding service, and if you dine here he is the server you want. Even my ten year old granddaughter says he is great and she is a tough customer. She has dined in many fine restaurants worldwide so she know a great server when she sees one.
Stacey was phenomenal. What an amazing waitress during the holidays. Stacy was very respectful and one of the best waitresses if ever encountered! Over and beyond excellent
My three friends and I just had a wonderful evening at Del Friscos. I can’t speak highly enough about our terrific server Sloan who provided great service to us. Sloan was professional, knowledgeable & extremely friendly. He met our every need promptly & patiently with an engaging attitude. As always, the meal was delicious but Sloan was the star of the evening.
Enjoyed a great dinner celebration (wedding anniversary + birthday) this evening. Our server, Nick, was terrific as he offered some great options and was very accommodating helping us by taking some photos to commemorate the occasion. My NY strip was cooked perfectly as was my wife’s filet. Sides (baked and mashed potatoes plus asparagus) were great. Our cocktails were delicious and paired well with our meals. Portions were ample. Wish we had room for deserts as they are all made in house and looked decadent. The manager (Sean) sent over a nice complimentary desert tasting for us to share that was so unexpected and so nice. We’ve been to the Boston Del Frisco locations but this was our first time in Westwood. We will be back!
I wish I could have given this place a 5 stars because the food was really delicious, the service was slow it took us 40min to get bread that came along with the food. Aside from that the drinks and food were really good. I really did enjoy my food I just hope in the future the waitress is more attentive.
The food was good, but I think a little overpriced for what you get. The service was good but slowed down as it got busy; we had to wait longer than expected for our dessert order to arrive.
I was there yesterday with a nice group of friends and their families. The place was nice and convenient for a group of 20+ people. The food was good and nicely presented, but I think the prices were exaggerated. A plate of 4 slices of tomatoes with olive oil was $12!
Went there to celebrate my birthday, and arrived about a little after 7pm and was seated right away. It was my first time there, so I'm not sure if they are typically busy on a Tuesday night, but almost every seat was filled. The food was great. The server on the other hand was totally not there and neither were the drinks. But I would definitely return.
Del Frisco's Grille is an American food restaurant with a more upscale vibe and food featured. Staff were friendly, though as other reviews indicate, can take a while if they are swamped. Food did come out quick out though, and overall the experience was pleasant. We tried multiple dishes, and the food was alright. They were cooked to perfection, had nice presentation and taste, and the flavor was good. The price for the portion was a bit small in my opinion, but the food overall was alright.
I went dinner for a birthday dinner and honest it was okay, I didn’t see many menu items I liked. If you are curious DON’T try the mac and cheese. I really liked the Ahi Tacos from the appetizer. The salmon was okay it was a little bland for my liking, but it was cooked perfectly. The mash potatoes were also very bland. The free pretzel bread was really good, but that butter was something I never want to taste ever again in my life. However, the environment was very nice and I really like our server she was very nice and helpful as well as this other young gentleman that worked there they were great!
The meat was so tender and tasty, and I could eat it with a dislocated jaw, which shows you how NOT chewy it was. The place is gorgeous, in a location without a ton of other food and right next to a hotel and train stop, so that nice, and fully accessible. I was frustrated that the online ordering didn’t work (an error kept popping up), and that no one answered the phone, though, when I arrived, the place was empty, and employees were standing around chatting. Instead of being able to order and just pop in to pick up, I had to come in and order and wait. That was annoying. I placed my order and waited. The wait wasn’t too long, but a family came in while I was waiting for my food at the bar, and no one greeted or help them for some time. They finally came to the bar and asked me “is anyone working?! We’ve been waiting here for a while!” I said “yes,” and pointed to a group of employees chatting near the kitchen. One of the guys went to the back to get someone from that group to staff the front. She went right away, but that felt unprofessional. The food was good. Employees were friendly.
Went here for the first time this week. Decor is nice and it has plenty of parking. Our waiter was friendly and energetic. I ordered a steak and fries. Nothing over the top. The fries and steak were very salty and the steak was undercooked. I asked for it to be prepared well done and it came out medium rare. I brought it to the attention of my waiter and he addressed it with the kitchen staff and the manager came over and was very apologetic. He offered to have it cooked further and take it off the bill. I appreciated how he handled the matter. I had the Nutella bread pudding for dessert. It was so yummy!! I asked my waiter to heat it up just a bit longer than they normally would (I like it hot) and it was perfect. I may give this restaurant one more try during their weekend brunch to see if my overall experience is better.
Tonight was our office Christmas party. There were 6 of us who went out to dinner. The food was absolutely delicious 😋. The service was the terrible. It was sooooo sloowww. It took us 3 hours and 15 mins for us to finish our meal. Not because we were slow, because the server rarely came around. The server, Sloan, was kind and polite... when he came around to our table, however he rarely came by. At first, he filled 3 of our glasses water, then about 20 mins later he came back for our drink order and I asked for the other 3 glasses of water. We ordered our drinks, then he came back about 15 mins later for our app order, then we got some of our apps before we got our drinks. None of our meals, drinks, or apps were given at the same time. Everything from meals, to sides were brought at intervals that made zero sense. At the end of our meal he came by to ask us for dessert and, we declined. At this time he presented us with an offer for a restaurant club sign up (because the bill was over $250). He then waited another 30 minutes to bring us the check. We actually had to flag him down. Then he didn't come back to collect the check. This was a Saturday night, it was busy, but there were servers everywhere. They didn't seem short staffed in the slightest. No one ever cleared our table. Our dishes were still piled up. Our waters were never refilled. Our food was delicious however. Don't think we didn't enjoy our meal. It was wonderful. I got the filet mignon and it was cooked a perfect medium rare. All the temperature specific foods were perfect. Would I go again, maybe, not on a Saturday.
3.5 stars. We had reservations for 815pm. They sat us at 840pm and didn’t take any drink orders until 920pm. They were NOT packed, just poor service. Once we notified the manager, the pace picked up. The ambiance is very nice with modern, clean and chic decor. Dress code is casual to dressy. Steaks were cooked to our orders but a little under season. The garlic herb butter helped the flavor but still needed a sprinkling of salt. Asparagus was cooked in butter and needed more season. Truffle Mac and cheese definitely needed a lot of seasoning. Brussels sprouts with bacon Lardo were tasty and crispy. Wedge salad with blue cheese dressing and bacon was good; great amount of dressing. I could’ve done without the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls. The presentation was off putting with the random splatters of sauces on the plate and when did Thai chili dipping sauce go with Philly cheesesteak? Had to ask multiple times for refills on water and soda.
ate at the bar. bar tender very nice. started with a watered down martini pizza appy was cleared by server before we finished eating it (2 slices left) steak was over cooked. took about 20 mins to get another which was a great (shouldn't take that long). they were nice and comped me the steak. otherwise all was really good
There are much better places for the same price, such as Smith and Wollensky in the city center. Ordered their dry-aged burger for $24 to go. The patties were very dry, likely well done (ordered medium). No taste of dry age whatsoever. Interior is quite nice but much more casual than in their parent steak house. Service is good though. I arrived 15 minutes earlier to pick up my order and they made the kitchen start cooking it earlier, so I didn’t have to wait. Was not crowded at lunchtime on the weekday.
OMG be forewarned about how expensive, and in my opinion, overrated this restaurant chain is. Their Filet Mignon was $59 but they add $7 for garlic butter, then $2 for a baked potato, $9 for water, crab cake appetizer $27 and if you have a cake you want brought to the table they will charge you an additional $30. My bill for 4 people including tip was over $600! I will never go back there again!
The restaurant was quiet on a Tuesday night. We had dinner with another couple. Service was excellent, but the food left a lot to be desired. Our Steak Egg rolls came out freezing cold. Given how slow it was I was not sure why our food would have been sitting getting cold. Then dinner came out and my Filet was ordered Medium came out very rare. They refired it but it left the steak dry and my lobster tail over cooked. Our bill was $500 and I felt like the temp and quality of the food did not match the price and expectations that you would expect. Nobody apologized for the steak being undercooked and they still happily charged full price for it. Probably will stick to their Boston locations for properly cooked meals.
Mixed. We went there twice and have had very mixed results. Food: some dishes were amazing (we’re looking at you cheese curds!), and some lacked pop. Overall, the quality and taste was good. Service: mixed. Our first time there, we got seated right below a cold vent. It was packed and they couldn’t move us, but the waitress made us forget that with her speed and great service. The second time (this Saturday) it was not busy. We had to wait at the front for about 10 minutes for someone to come out. They sat us in a great booth, but the waiter would stop by and then disappear for 10-15 minutes at a time despite us being ready to order, ask for drinks, etc. When our food came out, he was nowhere to be found when we needed steak knives. We had to walk over and get them from the bar. All-in-all for nearly $200, it was underwhelming.
Was there for a Sunday brunch. Server should look for a different kind of job to do, bad performance from the introduction to the end. She forgot ot ring in a truffle mac and cheese. So she went to the kitchen to ask for it ASAP, had my not just cold mac and cheese but also with no cheese only the radiatore pasta was tossed in bechamel what a disaster! I was really expecting something more elegant and refined flavors what a disappointment. In the other hand, the madame breakfast sandwich a great item!!
Made a reservation at 7:30 didn’t get sat till 8. Then we sat at our table and service was awful. Bread took probably 25 minutes, then we waited an hour and 15 to get our food. They apologized but the food was awful and not worth the price. We asked for a manger and he was very kind and gave us the meal for free. The staff is very nice and apologized multiple times but not worth the price or the time. Was going to order dessert but it took so long that it wasn’t worth it.
I came by myself to enjoy a nice steak and glass of wine or at least that was my intention. I sat down at the bar, but the two bartenders, Stacey and Mimi, did not acknowledge me for 20-25 minutes. There was no greeting, no menus, no water, nothing. they were doing glasses right in front of me, so it dident appear they were overwhelmed or “slammed”. A simple acknowledgment, even just to say that they would be with me shortly would have went.a LONG way. Instead I felt uncomfortable and unwelcomed so I left and went next door to not your average joe, where I received, immediate, friendly service for a much lower price and was good food. because of this experience I will not be returning to this location and will be telling my family and friends to not go there if those bartenders are there. They seemed inexperienced for the level of service del Gris is is supposed to deliver, even the host saw I was upset and apologized for my inconvenience.
Service was slow and not very attentive to our large party. The birthday girl’s steak was also burnt and dry. I got the IT girl dinner which was nice for 25$ and enjoyed it. But for the price and the name I expected better quality.
Let’s start with the lighting: think school cafeteria vibes. Absolutely no ambiance. Service didn’t fare much better. Our server forgot to put in our appetizer order, and after waiting far too long, we gave up and moved straight to entrées. Three of us received our cocktails in a reasonable amount of time, while the fourth arrived a full 15 minutes later. The pacing of the meal was slow, and when the food did arrive, it was hit-or-miss. The steak burger—ordered to split—was cooked correctly but oddly firm, and the fries were cold and hard. The lone standout was the wedge salad, which was genuinely delicious. The toughest part was that our waiter knew things were going sideways but couldn’t seem to recover. Despite his visible struggle, no manager ever checked in, even though the restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived at 6 p.m. I wish I could give a better review, but I can’t. I would not return to the Westwood University Ave location.
Hostess was nice about it , waiter didn’t acknowledge us waited a hour for fish n chips that wasn’t good at all it was all batter ( example like chicken fingers you get at Chinese restaurant) literally waiter didn’t come to our table to ask if everything was good never got coleslaw with fish n chips and was completely overpriced. I could of went to any other spot and paid less and actually got fish instead of batter , very disappointed for first time coming here never again
I wish I could say the food. The experience and the atmosphere were all grand but I can't , why do you ask because this place wouldn't take my order over the phone. Absolutely ridiculous. This is how you lose good business. I guess I will just view the pictures from google because that's what I ended up doing as the worker hung up on me like a jerk and didn't take my order when I tried to ask him to make an exception to take my order over the phone. How do you just treat people, who trained you? Where are your manners? There's was no considerations or a crap given about my needs. Some of us don't have the means nor the time to order online or wait for for the food to be ready. Please fix your act and straightenthis out. I demand the worker gets reprimanded. I called on Saturday November 15 around 4:45pm
Well, I had high hopes for my experience tonight at Defrisco. I was seated at 7:45- and waited to be served until 8:20pm to simply just leave and go to the bar. No one literally spoke to me for 30min which was a bit weird because it’s a Sunday evening it wasn’t pack nor busy. Got to the bar service was 5/10. Short ribs were drenched in Alcohol reduction, was 1/10 Maybe next, or not again .
All vibes and no substance. Server suggested espresso martinis... they tasted like watered down, burnt espresso plus vodka and took 30 minutes to show up. Food was mediocre, especially considering how expensive it was. There was paper inside one of the steak egg rolls, and it took at LEAST 20 minutes between every server check-in or water refill (we timed it because it was getting so egregious...). I'm not one to complain most of the time but this was truly a sad experience. Do not recommend.
I met my girlfriend for a drink and a couple of appetizers. We sat at the bar. The bar service was OK. Except the fruit flies are out of control. It absolutely gagged me. I have always enjoyed their deviled egg appetizer. I ordered on my visit last Sunday and it came out not even close to what it used to be. It looked and tasted like the dish was almost spoiled. It was inedible and we sent it back. The French onion soup was sub par. I was very disappointed and will likely not return.
