Outstanding tapas and other less or non spicy delights. Quite crowded and usually noisy inside but in fair weather the outdoor seating is heated and comfortable. The environment is rustic but the food is worth it. I keep going back and the place is always packed.
Omg. Came here for first time. Had canniloni with crab, combo appetizer platter and beef sliders. We ate it all and loved it. Looks like we lucked out plates! I would just add some bread to soak up the delicious sauce with the crab cannelloni.
The food is incredible. My girlfriend makes me take her here every time she's in town. The sangria is the best out there. And the food is always slightly different but fantastic.
LOVE FICELLE SO MUCH! All of the dishes are always soo delish and reasonably priced. The sangria is an absolute must. Love the atmosphere, great service and Joanne!! Our favorite local spot for sure!
Amazing food, atmosphere, and staff/owners! Made special arrangements to pick up very pregnant friends favorite dessert - their lemon terramisu. I picked it up this morning and it was their treat with the most lovely note!!!! Thank you Ficelle people!!!
Just went there for the first time the other night. When we walked in, the people behind the counter were like "First time here?" How did they know??? "First timers normally just stop at the doorway." Oh ok.. So if you don't wanna be taken for a first timer you're supposed to just walk in and grab a table. You order a bunch of dishes (we did around 4 dishes for three people) and then split them with your table mates. We had the plato-combidado which had some cheese, cold cuts, beans, peppers, and grilled bread. It was really good. We also ordered the polenta (so smooth and creamy!), the chili rellano (which was stuffed with this delicious cheese and a really good brown sauce - I really recommend this one), and a shrimp stuffed pasta dish (I didn't have any of this one so I can't comment on it). I am definitely coming back here!
One of the best places to eat in Yolo County. Friendly atmosphere. The food and sangria are delicious. People that work there are friendly and kind.
Truly excellent tapas, wide selection, fresh pastas, very nice salads , tasty Sangria and prompt and friendly service. Well worth the drive.
family owned place that is worth going to just for the Ajo! seasonally changing menu, always fresh, always awesome. A little pricey, but thats due to the local produce they use!
I've been going to Ficelle's for years and the food at Ficelle's has always been amazing, but it is very loud. Recently Ficelle has eliminated several tables and put in a narrow center table with bench seat. It's so narrow there's no place to put the plates. Mistake.
Amazing. Already planning our next date night for this place. The atmosphere along with the freshly made dishes are outstanding!
Food is awesome, lots of variety. Small plates but you get enough to be satisfied, not like only 2 bites.
Everything is great here! The food, the prices, the staff. The papas Ficelle and side of green beans is a must. Very shareable food and pleasant ambiance
Wonderful creative tapas with a California fresh slant...have never had anything there that wasn't delicious! Cozy summer evening on the patio!
Worth it for the Ajo (garlic spread served with French bread) alone. Everything is fantastic, but get there early unless you're willing to wait a bit.
Such a gem in downtown Winters! Great patio seating, well portioned tapas. Love this place!
One of the staff liked my hair! Very sweet. Good food too.
Expect rather small portions of high quality food and the best Sangria I've ever had!
Terrific food, wonderful staff, causal atmosphere. My favorite restaurant in all of Davis, Vacaville, Winters area.
My favorite spot in Winters! Always a variety of tapas and great outdoor seating with heaters for cool nights.
Excellent small plates. I wish they'd be open more. Check hours and days if you are not in town anyway.
Open Thursday Friday and Saturday, not sure about Wednesday or Sunday. Great tapas selection. Wonderful sangria. Take your time looking at the menu posted on the entire wall around the kitchen or you will miss something you will wish you had ordered.
We stopped in to try this place out and get some tasty tapas that we have herd so much about. This place may be small, but the food the serve brings big flavor!! There is a few tables and a bar inside and the rest is outdoors seating on the deck with great music and wonderful atmosphere 👍👍
This is a small, unpretentious and fun place. The locale is small inside but there is plenty of space outside. The restaurant follows a more refine fast casual concept. Their menu is mainly tapas, really good tapas. For a first visit I would order the sampler plate with 3-4 additional plates. Also order the bread and ajo, they are addictive. Overall really great place for casual dining in a nice small town.
Cozy, Casual place for great tapas. We usually get about 4 things and a couple glasses of sangria- if we’re still hungry will go back for seconds of our favorites. Only complaint is that I wish they were open more :)
Great, great, great spot! Everything we had was awesome. Wasn't expecting a great tappas place in Winters! Deff worth eating here..
Always a great bite! Recommend the canelone del mar and bread and ajo! Also Sangria

Fun place to go with small groups. Environment is casual and intimate; you seat yourself and order up front. The food is absolutely great. I strongly recommend the sangria. There's outdoor seating and heaters if you prefer. A great place for date night. Will definitely be back!
Great taco Tuesday, but it's on Wednesday. Only a few items but all good. Other nights are tapas, but rather large portions for tapas. Eggplant stack is perfectly cooked and it's in balsamic vinegar, not red sauce. Nice and refreshing sangria. Outdoors has nice string lighting and trees, indoors can be loud. Family restaurant with great employees.
Great food, great atmosphere and suburb customer service. We flubbed on one of our selections not realizing it had something in it we couldn’t eat. Our mistake. They took care of us. Also, our first time there so didn’t initially know they were known for their sangria. Went back up and ordered a bottle. Make sure you get it.
We were 7 ppl and we tried a whole lot - probably 10 different dishes. They were all really good! Surprisingly good. I don't think you can go wrong in here. Really good to share, as dishes are not huge. Will be back to test and taste the test of the card!
The food was fantastic, especially the mushroom raviolis. Not as expensive as I expected, but not cheap either. Good beer and wine selection, and the staff was welcoming, patient, and helpful. We went recently, so there wasn't much room inside during the cold night, but excited to sit in the outside area later this summer!
This place is amazing. Great food, great service.
This place is AMAZING! INCREDIBLY GOOD FOOD! A friends referred us and hands down was not disappointed. Please go in and try their amazing menu. My husband and I orders about 3-5 dishes and shared so we could try everything and it is a perfect meal. We went back two Fridays in a row and we live 15min away from there. The staff and atmosphere is perfect for a casual dinner or a date night!
First time here. Amazing non traditional tapas! We loved everything, but the chili chicken and wild quail dishes were great. This restaurant will eventually have to expand to fit more customers inside. They do have heaters for outside when it overflows.

Absolutely delicious tapas. The size of the menu is impressive! Indoor seating is very cramped, so go on a nice day when you can sit outside on the patio.
Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Food potions are good for Tapas. Menu is diverse. The food flavor was 60/40 could be taster. Will definitely try again though!
The people are awesome. Very nice. Service is promt and attentive. Foods great! Outside deck is the best!!
Tasty food - Mexico meets Italy? Could have used more heat (personal preference) but yummy and well-prepared with a lot of options for meat eaters and vegetarians. We were a little confused how it works at first but 1) find a table 2) go to the counter and place your order - you can open a tab to keep the drinks and tapas coming. Nice physical set up. Kind of loud inside so next time we'll try the outdoor seating. Friendly staff. We really enjoyed the combo plate, the eggplant and the lamb dishes (hubby ate the meat - I'm veg). Sangria was nice but not as good as my SILs!
The food tasted great! Interesting tapas to choose from. We didn't realize that it was counter service ordering, then they bring the food to your table. The food came out quickly and correctly but the counter staff was not as friendly as the rest of the team and it definitely changed this to a 4 star instead of 5.
The food is delicious, it's a different eating experience in itself. You order then sit down and if you wish to keep your tab going or close it. Our group sat outside in the open air in it's very quaint and an old rustic style walls. They also have netting to avoid getting leaves on your table. Definitely going to visit again.
We enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere but the white wine (Sauvignon blanc) that I ordered was not up to par. Prices are a big high for such the portions they serve.

Decently ok. Pizza with very good sauce but crust sadly underbaked. They were quite nice about it but likely carry to another spot next time we pass through.
If you wanna save your time and money I recommend reading this before you go… this is truly my honest review and I tried to make the best of the night. I was thrown off instantly after trying to get some idea of the price but finding nothing online, we were disappointed to find no prices on the menu in person either. Or online because of this it took awhile to order as the server had to give us price points for every item since we didn’t know if it was going to be 7 dollars or 14. With post it notes covering the prices, it felt disingenuous to us that we weren’t able to know any prices for our food. The food was mediocre at best with over cooked noodles and mid level “ cheese bread” literally just cheese on bread in paper trays. Nothing came out as listed on the menu, “ baked pasta” was just regular pasta with no baked crust or mozzarella. With plastic water cups and paper trays the upscale vibe and price did not make sense since we weren’t getting a nicer dining experience. Even the location looking over a parking lot did not justify the mediocre food, atmosphere, and dining experience to make it worth coming back.
Quality is just ok for the price. Tried sliders, mushroom ravioli, tostada and a few other things. If I went again I would probably get sangria and go on a day that it's nice outside and try to sit outside.

We went as a group of four on a recent chilly Saturday night. We were generally disappointed by the food. Sure, there was an element of tapas (they were shareable) but don't go expecting a lot of Spanish influenced dishes. The menu seemed to be all over the place and most of the dishes were pretty forgettable to be honest. Some dishes served with some visual appeal and others not. Wine selection is okay and from Turkovich vineyards. The dining room is too bright to create much ambience and the ordering is at the counter. Just had really expected more given their high rating.

Super disappointed with my experience here. I can only assume they were having having an off night based on the other reviews, but it was really bad... The food was mediocre (particularly the crostini), and we had to wait over an hour and 45 minutes to get the four things we ordered. It finally came down to one of the servers asking if we had gotten all of our food yet since we had been sitting there for so long. The people at the table nearest us were seated before we arrived, and in the time we were there they only received one item (and were clearly very frustrated as well). Likely won't be making a return visit.
We had been looking forward to eating here all day. However, there was no greeting when we entered, we didn't know if we should sit, stand, order or what. We sat and waited and determined we should just leave. Food looked good, but no one would talk to us
