A-MAY-ZING TAPAS RESTAURANT!!!!! Let's see where to start, the drinks were delicious! Service was great,we got the tortallini, spicy flaming chorizo, potatoes, cod croquettas, lobster risotto, shrimp on toast, sorry I don't remember all the names but we are definitely going back.
My family and I came across Matadora by chance and didn’t have high expectations but it ended up becoming a favorite of ours! I love the shrimp toast and flaming chorizo, but everything we’ve gotten has been really really good. The staff is always super nice and it’s just a great place overall.
Was there for dinner. The tapas were delicious. We had a number of them. The sangria was very good. Their hamburger was good too. Loved the atmosphere and beauty of the restaurant. The service was great. Breakfast was fantastic.
Matadora in Boston, MA is outstanding! Appetizers were scrumptious! Guacamole was fresh and its chips, were crispy!
Easily a 5 star spot this far north of the city. Really unique vibe, almost feels like an outdoor patio so we love going in the winter and feeling a little bit like we’re outside on a warm night. Food is not all hits, some of the dishes are just meh, but some of them are also awesome. Really loved the beet salad, patatas bravas of course, street corn, and the short rib was incredible. Lots of hits. The drinks were super good too. Overall a wonderful atmosphere and an underrated and unexpected gem!
We had an enjoyable tapas date night here, with my date having found his most favorite Old Fashioned cocktail! I loved the charred octopus and the buratta was super fresh.
We were fortunate enough to be staying at the hotel here and my son had never had lobster before, so we ordered the Surf N Turf. He absolutely enjoyed and devoured his entire meal, and loved the lobster. We also ordered the house salad and a cocktail, which was also delicious. Thank you. Highly recommend for anyone coming to the Boston or Woburn area for a classy experience and delicious dinner.
We had a great time for our galentine's celebration and Cheryl was the best. Great spot with good food and easy parking.
I cannot tell you how happy I was to dine in at Matadora. From the ambience to the service to the delicious tapas, I would recommend it to one and all. Every single dish had flavor and for me to give it a 10 out of 10, it has to be excellent. Do yourself a favor and plan yourself a great night out at Matadora.
Amazing place with great service. We celebrated our anniversary there and truly enjoyed the food. We’ll definitely be coming back to try seafood dishes.
Wonderful meals. The 2 way chicken, Paella De Mariscos, Banzino was delicious. Group of friends having a great evening at Matadora❤️🔥
Had a good experience at Matadora. The drinks were great, I enjoyed the Matadora Old Fashioned and the tapas were great. We loved the street corn and the sacchetti and the lamb chops were cooked perfectly. The tuna tar tar didn’t sit well with me but otherwise it was a great experience. I would recommend for a date night to a night out with friends.
I absolutely love Matadora. It is located inside The Hilton Hotel, but it felt like I was eating at a restaurant in Barcelona. The decor was gorgeous, and even the music playing was pleasant. The staff were attentive, and the service was quick. The restaurant was pretty busy, and still, our food arrived quite quickly. The food was absolutely delicious! Everything was perfectly seasoned and had a perfect presentation. I went for Valentine's Day and had a reservation. We were seated very quickly and even received chocolate covered strawberries at the end of our meal. I will definitely be back.
What sets this Spanish restaurant apart is its exceptional cuisine! Every dish is a masterclass in freshness and seasoning. Paella Matadora is a standout, with a rich and satisfying blend of seafood, chicken, and chorizo. The guacamole is the best I've ever had. The crafted drinks are strong and beautifully presented. The staff (Alexa) is professional, polite, and attentive, making for a truly memorable dining experience.
Found this cute hidden gem, the staff was super nice & attentive. It is in a hotel where the balconies are overlooking the food area and lobby but it almost felt like we were transformed into an area in Europe. The drinks were perfect and the tapas were delicious. The kafta dish was out of this world and empanadas were superb. Will definitely visit again.
So... there is an additional bar called Rivet at the Hilton where Matadora serves food over by the pool. Spot on- chicken lollipops and rivet burger ( burger with over easy egg, brie, lettuce - mayo I added were fantastic! Bar tender Sara(h) was great and attentive to everyone at the bar. Highly recommend!
We went there twice with different friends. Both of these two visits gave us great experience. The second time happened last night and the hotel’s fire alerts was on twice. I’m ok with it but am wondering how they would deal with this. We went there second time for the paella but unfortunately they didn’t serve this last night. But, we still quite enjoyed the food and drink then.
Best food in town. Matadora is one of the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. You will not regret going there. We sat in front of the chef. He was extremely nice and food was amazing.
This restaurant is in the Hilton Hotel.. it was an old she factory. Breakfast was expensive but outstanding. They had a good selection and buffet including cooked to order eggs and omelets. The food is just as good as pre-covid. This is the place to come for variety and service. Two people cost me $50 with the tip. I love the service and conversation either Bernise!
I recently dined at Matadora in Woburn and while the food and ambiance were both fantastic, it was our waiter Kenny who truly made the evening unforgettable. From the moment we were seated, he was attentive without being intrusive—professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He took the time to walk us through the tapas selections, and gave genuine recommendations that showed he really cared about our experience, not just making a sale. Kenny was also incredibly well-timed—our water glasses were never empty, plates were cleared promptly, and we never felt rushed despite the restaurant being fairly busy. The pacing between courses was just right, and he managed the table with a calm, confident energy that made us feel well taken care of. By the end of the night, it felt like we were regulars. Matadora is lucky to have someone like Kenny on the floor, and I’ll definitely be returning not just for the great food and atmosphere, but for the exceptional service.
I’ve been to countless hotel breakfast buffets, but this one stands head and shoulders above the rest largely because of Lesley, the server who turned a good meal into a memorable morning. From the moment I walked in, Lesley greeted me with a warm, genuine smile and a cheerful “Good morning!” that instantly lifted my mood. She didn’t just point me to a table; she guided me through the buffet also (the made-to-order omelets were fluffy perfection) and steering me toward the freshest fruit and pastries. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive she was very attentive food is 5 stars aswell as the service
The food is absolutely divine. The octopus was nice, a good char and flavor. The Patatas Bravas were lightly spiced but evenly cooked and almost sweet to the taste. The drinks were tasty and the wine list excellent. And I want to thank Oliver, our wonderful server, who was friendly, conversational, and an absolute joy to be around. Will be coming back
Our server, Kenny, made our dining experience absolutely wonderful. From the moment we were seated, they were warm, attentive, and professional. They took the time to explain the specials, offered great recommendations, and checked in at just the right moments without ever making us feel rushed. Drinks were always refilled quickly, and any request we had was handled with a smile. What really stood out was Kenny’s genuine friendliness and ability to make us feel welcome, as if we were valued guests rather than just another table. Their attention to detail and positive attitude truly elevated the meal and turned a good night out into a great one. I’d highly recommend asking for Kenny’s if you visit—excellent service like this deserves recognition!
I'm usually wary of Hotel Restaurants. Because of the convenience they have the tendency to be over-priced, average food, and wonky portions. I was pleasantly surprised by Matadora. I usually order scallops everywhere I go. I love them, but it's hard to get them just right. Well, Chef's Kiss to the Chef! They were superb. Cooked perfectly. The Beet Salad was also scrumptious. Service was great. Seated promptly. Our server, Kenny, was wonderful. Will surely return and recommend.
Excellent food. I have had both breakfast and dinner at this location. Breakfast buffet is fantastic with omelets made to order. Breakfast food quality was above most Hilton breakfasts. For dinner I tried the Halbut, great flavor and I highly recommend.
Lovely. Sangria was substantial and delicious. Food excellent but we seemed to have to wait a long time for the food to be served. Easy off-street parking.
Me and my wife and son went to this restaurant and the service was 100% great. Food was hit or miss. We ordered the Paella and it was ok. We've had way better Paella for cheaper. It was enough for 2 people but a little overpriced. Sangria was $14 a glass, which is pretty steep. Maybe it's the location. We also got empanadas from the Tapas menu and they were small for $16. Compared to the huge cheeseburger with fries for $12, it didn't add up. Tapas should be cheaper. Other than that, the place was nice. Service was great, but prices need some work.
The menu is a celebration of Spanish cuisine, with standouts like the patatas bravas—crispy on the outside, soft inside, with just the right kick—and the jamón Ibérico, which practically melts in your mouth. The grilled octopus was another highlight: perfectly tender, charred just enough, and served with a bright, citrusy aioli. Pair everything with a glass of Rioja or one of their creative cocktails and you're golden.
This restaurant has a great vibe. The scallops, short rib, octopus, and churros were my favorite. Sadly I didn’t love the paella as much as I thought I would. Great service
came here with friends for a birthday dinner. we had a good time. none of us had been there before.since the restaurant is tapas style and there were 5 of us, we basically ended up ordering more than half of the menu to be able to try different things. then reordered what we really liked. good was amazing, tasted great and beautifully presented. the ambiance of the restaurant was gorgeous, beautifully decorated but very calming. the architecture of the hotel was beautiful also. if I didn't know ahead of time, I wouldn't have felt as if it was a restaurant that was inside of a hotel. the only trouble we had was our server was very slow. she hardly came to our table all night. towards the end she had mentioned that she was new but she could have asked for help if needed. when we got there it was on a week day and it was slow. we were one of of about 6 tables. we were just confused as to why we had such poor service. at one point we were try to place in orders with yhe food runner. I would try this place again because the food ded was very good.
My party of 3 had a pleasant experience at Matadora. For an appetizer we got the street corn and thought it was pretty good however we wish we had more of it. The portion was a little small for our liking. For dinner got the Matadora burger and Steak Fritas. Both were tasty and flavorful. Overall we thought Matadora was a nice place to eat dinner however if we were not staying at the hotel we would not have went out of our way to come here.
Very nice place but on the expensive side. There is not much choices within walking distance when it's cold. Decent place to eat. Very nice staff
Great selection of tapas and entrees. Good selection of drinks to suit all tastes. Nice place with a very open feel being in an atrium setting.
At the beginning, I was deeply disappointed with the level of service provided during my recent visit to this restaurant in our hotel. At first the staff appeared attentive and organized, but then it took almost 20 minutes for anyone to greet us. After getting our drink orders in finally, we felt as if our waiter was ignoring our table, while it looked like most people were getting their food who had gotten there after us. After we were initially greeted and brought drinks after waiting, and then waited another 20 minutes to put our appetizer in, a kind bartender noticed us from the opposite side of her section in the bar and took care of us. At first, where there seemed to be no sense of urgency or accountability, it was saved by how quickly management acted on correcting the situation. A dining experience should reflect both care and professionalism, which at last, my husband and I received. Overall, the restaurant had an amazing food selection and all of their dishes are unique and small selections of both savory, sweet, and delicious flavor that are great for sharing. I’m sure what happened was a miscommunication in staff, but thank you management and that young lady bartender who saved our night. I’d still recommend this establishment to anyone staying at the hotel 8.5/10
Service and food were good. Went for lunch since their own website said they were open daily at 12 but when we go there they were "closed for the holidays" for lunch. Would have been nice to show that on the webiste. But we came back later for dinner.
We came to this restaurant with family staying at the Hilton. The place is kid friendly and they are accommodating with kids with allergies. The food were delicious and the staffs are friendly and entertaining.
Decent restaurant inside hotel with friendly staffs. The food is flavorful and has lots of ingredients. Paella is missing socarrat on bottom. The amount of saffron is also very light or maybe its has been covered by the flavor of the sauce. Tapa we ordered (the squid) is good.
Over all, typical hotel restaurant. Tries a bit to hard in the areas that don't matter. The food was over priced and mediocre. The staff was lovely though and pleasant. I should of chosen different tapas, rather than a $6 bowl of olives. The vibes was fine, it's more modern.
While we were in the area we searched for restaurants close by to our hotel and found this place to have good reviews. The food was quick to come out, they were well presented and the cocktails were good. We tried a variety of tapas. Compared to other tapas places we have been to, we found the prices to be a bit higher. They have plenty of vegan options as. We found the hostess to be unfriendly. The server was very average. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted to sit outside. We got there a bit early in the evening without any reservations. It seemed to get busier towards the evening so it might be best to make a reservation before going especially if you have a bigger group.
The restaurant is in a hotel and some of the room overlook the restaurant. I didn't love that. The menu looked interesting so we went for our anniversary. Might have liked it more if I were staying at the hotel and just popping in for dinner. The staff was very friendly.
Came to Matadora with a large corporate group through a reservation on OpenTable. I don't believe they are staffed to handle a large group. Dishes came out without knowing who ordered. Servers didn't know the cut of steak on the plate. An order for a rare ribeye came out well done, returned, and came back out medium rare. Ribeye did not meet the menu weight. Too much salt and spice on the meat. Very thin steaks. I think this restaurant bit off more than it can chew in terms of reservations.
I was staying at the hotel. The restaurant appeared to be a good choice so I sat at the bar. Service was not attentive (spent more time talking to each other than serving the bar area). The food was good but hotel pricey. Overall I ate there twice but would not go out of the way for this place.
Food is not bad. The front desk lead lady today is very professional and helpful. One of our two waitresses is awesome and the other one had very bad attitude. She is extremely rude and we were looking at each other like what is going on. Told the lead waitress about bad attitude before we left and also decided to write this review. Feels like this one of worst waitresses I had ever encountered.
$125 for 2 people. mediocre experience, when you first step it you except the fine dining atmosphere to set you up for a delicious culinary experience , 20 minutes later someone finally comes and you can order drinks. I get something labeled NA on the menu, to later realize it has alcohol. i’m 37 weeks pregnant. i ordered the paella, my partner got a chicken dish, both just beyond bland and portions and taste do not justify the price. Service was soooo slow and my expectations were much higher for how expensive it is
We didn't enjoy our experience very much. The steak was okay at best. The potatoes were a big let down. I think they were just drenched in oil and that was it. I didn't feel completely safe eating here with Celiac. The staff were somewhat friendly and the atmosphere wasn't my thing. You are sitting beneath people's hotel rooms and their balconies.
Greg was unprofessional the entire time. He forgot our drinks completely, even after saying he’d be “right back.” When the food finally showed up, half of it was wrong, and he acted confused when we pointed it out. He spent more time bad-mouthing his coworkers and talking about gambling at Encore than paying attention to his tables. He repeated himself nonstop and looked unsure of what he was doing. For someone who claims decades of experience, the service was nowhere near acceptable.
I’m giving 2 stars because i loved my meal, when it did arrive, but the service was SO bad it knocked off 3 other stars. Greg claims he has over 40 years of serving experience, but nothing about his performance reflects that. He forgets orders, disappears for long stretches, and has to return to the table to ask what guests ordered because he can’t remember. He looks completely lost and overwhelmed. He trash talks other employees in front of customers, repeats himself constantly, and brings a bad attitude to the entire shift. This was the worst service experience I have had.
Watched a rodent during dinner service get flagged by customers and killed by an employee. We then saw many more after hours from our balcony running around the bar and dining area. Mind you the table settings are already placed for the next days service.
Would NOT recommend! My family and I came from out of town to celebrate my husband’s birthday and figured on our last night staying at the Hilton we should try Matadora! WORSE DECISION EVER! Everything was SOOOOOO SALTY and just looked sloppy and thrown together. Couldnt even get through eating it because it was just not good at all!!! We ordered the hummas and pita chips but theres nothing PITA about it, more like tortilla chips soaked in salt. Dont even get me started on the tomatoes, melons with cheese smelled and looked like throw up 🤢🤢🤢. The menu was completely different from online compared to when we got down there to order that shouldve been the first red flag 🚩. Tried calling down there and the front desk to explain the situation but all lines were “busy” but it was empty when we were down there. Had to go out and eat elsewhere WASTE OF MONEY! Never ever again 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
Service and atmosphere were great, but the food was really disappointing. The paella was soggy and tasted more like risotto, the street corn barely had any flavor and had an odd texture, and the rest of the dishes were just mediocre. For the price, there are much better tapas options in Boston. Unfortunately, it was not worth it.
