Hidden gem in the Filipino section of Woodside. Their silogs are served all day and its complete with sautéed eggplants and ceviche all $14. Free coffee and pandesal before 11am. Host brought us up to the second floor which is available for group parties. We were singing karaoke while enjoying our brunch. What restaurant does this?
My new favorite Filipino breakfast spot in Queens. Tried the tapsilog and the cornsilog, both came with coffee and a pandesal for $16.04. They don't ask you how you want the eggs, so it comes standard Filipino-style (eggs over well) with lots of grease as is standard. The eggplant had a nice char and the tapsilog beef had only a little bit of fat. Also happy to see that they give you milk with the coffee as some places offer powdered creamer. Definitely a solid place for breakfast and would recommend!
Everyone in our company enjoyed their chosen dishes. The environment adds to your meal. Their cooking is wonderful & honestly, all dishes I've sampled have been delicious. Employees here maintain a great atmosphere for families while providing nice attention. My next visit is already anticipated.
The buffet at Amazing Grace Restaurant from Monday to Thursday is always a treat. There’s a great variety of dishes, everything is fresh, and the flavors never disappoint. It’s definitely worth coming back for if you’re looking for both quality and value. I also want to commend the hospitality of the 2 male staff on the second floor. They are very attentive, welcoming, and always makes sure guests feel comfortable. Their warm service adds a personal touch that makes the dining experience even better.
Girl in register was so welcoming I came 9/9/24 10:12am and I’m glad they hire her , sweet, helping, first time here and will bring family & friends And it’s strange some people gave bad reviews , which I’m surprised , because what I ate was delicious and service fantastic.highly recommend., I have corn beef stuff inside so tasty
This is only my second visit to this restaurant, and I love everything about it. Everything you would want and love about Filipino cuisine. When you enter, you'll be greeted with a delicious aroma of freshly baked breads. Customer service is nice and friendly. If you do not know what to order, my personal favorite is sizzling sisig. One famous Filipino favorite is the Adobo if you have not tried any Filipino cuisine yet. They have a huge variety of dishes to choose from. Also tried the Hot Calamansi juice, what an experience. Be warned, parking is troublesome here. I'd recommend taking the transit when going here. Overall, you should visit this place right on the Filipino side of the Roosevelt Ave area. Small but delicious. Right beside Max around the corner.
If you’re looking for authentic Filipino food in New York City, Amazing Grace in Woodside, Queens is a great place to visit. Located in the heart of “Little Manila,” this cozy spot serves a variety of traditional Filipino dishes that feel just like home. Whether you’re missing the flavors of the Philippines or just curious to try something new, Amazing Grace delivers a warm, delicious, and memorable dining experience. They have evening music sesh above the restaurant with the great filipino singers. Don’t forget to try their”Crispy Pata”⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Whenever we’re craving for some Filipino comfort food, this is one of our go-to spots. The quality of the food has not been the same since it changed it’s name from Krystal’s to Amazing Grace, but we still love their Ginisang Monggo (mung bean soup) and pork barbecue. When we went there last week, our server was friendly and was willing to serve but he seemed a bit distracted — eyes glued to his phone — because we had to ask him for soup bowls and cutleries, which customers expect to have when they order a soup dish. But other than that, we always leave satisfied and would keep going back because it makes us feel like we’re in the Philippines whenever we’re there. However, just be aware that the food is quite pricey, especially for Filipino food. There are other more affordable options in the vicinity.
7 train or bus Q32 from midtown Manhattan, corner of 69th & Roosevelt Ave., in Queens,NY, thriving Filipino diner, offering retail products like snacks, chips, breads, empanadas, Special Ube(purple yam)cake, brazo de mercedes with starchy thickened yolk centet could be better, sans rival, tea, coffee, natural juices, etc. Almost got it all! Eggplant onelet below challenges authenticity and disappointingly salty.
Unpleasant dining experience. Waited for our food for 30-35 mins even though there’s not too many people eating at that time. The chicken inasal served was not hot just warm n dry as if it was sitting on their kitchen too long. Asked to warm up chicken but didn’t get chicken back till we’re done eating so we just ate bulalo soup.Cant eat the corn that comes w the soup bec it’s hard and not quite cooked. Didn’t served us water till we’re almost leaving and paid the bill. Will never eat here again!!!I Tipped sparingly for the service received. Gave 10%.
I don’t usually give bad reviews but this one is an exemption because it already concerns our health. I just bought a leche flan this afternoon, then when I got home I opened it and to my surprised it has molds on it. I was shocked and got mad because how careless of them not doing quality check on their food. We drove back to Amazing Grace because I wanted to talk to their manager or supervisor but they said nobody’s there. I got disappointed because they should always check the quality of their food. I even asked them when did they made the leche flan but no one can tell me. They just said that it’s freshly made everyday. But the question is how come? The formation of mold takes several days to appear so I doubt that they’re telling the truth. I recommended them that it would be nice if they put a sticker date to their food to make sure that it did not pass the expiration date and to have a overview of their food because sometimes we can’t tell if the food is still good in our own naked eyes. After this conversation with them they just gave me a new leche flan and assured me that it’s freshly made. Moral lesson of the story we consumers should always be vigilant with the food we eat or order to avoid any incident like this. I hope they will take a look and make a solution/plan for this issue so it won’t happen again.
What an awful place to eat. This place is a disgrace to Philippine cuisine. If I have a foreigner to bring and taste our cuisine, I will not bring them here. Service is okay but the food is terrible. We ordered Lomi and it comes out with poorly cooked noodles like it’s never cooked properly (please see photos) and the fish is full of skeleton bones that I ended up not eating much because I was afraid it would hurt my throat. Bad decision to go this place.
We ordered for hot calamansi juice, it was served on glass. How could you expect it to be hot?? Should be served in mug.. we ordered for breakfast w/c usually comes with pandesal, but pandesal came together with all of our food after waiting for 15-20 mins. It could have been served ahead with water while waiting for the main order just like how they did it before. I ordered for a well done sunny-side-up egg and look how they did in the photo attached. Our order came after than two tables who came later than us. Ordered pancit lomi because of the vegetables that should come with it but I didn’t see any. Servers and cook need to be properly oriented. And you should not impose an automatic 20% tip to your customers bill especially if you can’t give quality service.
Their breakfast “silog” menu is still good just like a year ago. However, the service has deteriorated. The pansit didn’t taste like it used to. Now it’s more greasy and salty. After finishing my meal, I went to the cashier as I was in a rush to leave the restaurant since a guest in another table started coughing incessantly and also to correct the bill I was given. As I examined the bill I noticed I was charged for an item that I didn’t order and so I politely asked the cashier for a bill adjustment. Instead of just reading the bill and confirming it, the lady made a snark reply stating “Are you sure?!”; suggesting perhaps that I was making an attempt to get out of paying the full amount. The cashier didn’t even confirm with the servers or looked thoroughly into the order slips before giving me a snarky response of disbelief. That girl needs some serious attitude adjustment. I am aware that the place is understaffed. However, the owner should have also hired more people with better attitudes. I really hope this place improves its customer service because it would be a shame if I could no longer come here for that reason.
