Okinawa

Owned by a wonderful local Southern Chinese family, the restaurant is run by the family's 1st and 2nd generations in ths US. The menu is diverse, offering both Chinese and Japanese dishes with an excellent variety of appetizers and entres. All of the recipes and ingredients used are the most genuine I've had in quite some time outside of Southern China where, coincidentally, I visited the family's home city in 1998. The service is excellent and the food ranks among the best in the region. The only complaint I have is the restaurant's out-of-the-way location. If it were located more central to the Capital Region, it would get the attention it so richly deserves. As-is, it is a hidden gem well worth discovering.

We love the bento box selection which include a choice of main component and several sides. Overall this is a very good family restaurant.

This is my go to Chinese delivery place. It's normally just what you would expect from ordering Chinese. The only thing preventing the 5th star is that the soups are often cold and the food is often not hot when it arrives or when I pick it up. I think this is because they just pack the bag and leave it on the front counter without a warmer or anything and they don't give very good time frames of when your food is actually going to be ready. Other than that love the crab rangoon.

I thought the General Tso's chicken was amazing. Very well cooked and not too fried my friend ordered the Singapore Mei phone and she said it was delicious and just the way it should be made

Crazy fast delivery. Normally shows up 15-20 minutes earlier than they state it will. Food is not terrible, but ends up being kind of forgettable. Worth it for the service alone.

Very good miso soup and fresh made California roll, good deal for lunch if you get the triple roll with salad.

We've been eating here for years. The people are pleasant, the sushi is very good, miso soup is delicious and the waitress is very attentive.

Egg drop soup: Disappointing Fried Noodles: Stale Crab Rangoon: Disappointing (missing sauce) Pork Ribs: Disappointing Pork Fried Rice: Disappointing Last few sushi orders: Disappointing When I moved to the area in 2019 this was one of the better Chinese/faux Japanese places in the area. At some point they decided to start phoning it in. Every time.

My family dined in for my Dad's birthday dinner. We arrived early to request that the waitress surprise my dad with desert and a happy birthday song at the completion of our dinner. She agreed to this. Our party of seven placed drink orders which came out quickly. The waitress was not very attentive after that. Our drinks and dry noodles with duck sauce emptied pretty quickly and after 1 round of refills everything stayed empty including our cups. We placed our dinner order and everyone received their dinner except my 9 year old nephew. The waitress said it was coming, but the look on her face when she saw he didn't have his food told me that she clearly had forgotten to place that order. We waited 12 more minutes for his food. Dinner was delicious. The check came to the table and that was it. No cake or desert. No happy birthday song and once she took payment she was gone. To be clear, I really do like their food. I order take out from Okinawa fairly regularly and never have an issue with our food delivery. Every time I dine in, it's sub par. I wish they put more emphasis on their wait service. Some simple solutions, put a pitcher of water on the table. If someone orders tea, leave a tea pot for easy refills. If you can't do that, you need to be much more attentive. I'm holding out hope that their dine-in service will improve.

Although the food was good -- spring roll filling could've had less of a baby food consistency, and beef took 10+ chews to break down -- our waitress was uninviting and took no interest in really serving us. A smile, "thank you" and "you're welcome" would've been nice.

I don't like the pork fried rice and you get very little meat with combos so I called them, the woman said she made a mistake, no big deal mistakes happen, however, they then told me it would be more money for the right meals AND asked for the food back. They also asked if I could drive there to switch them out. What? They did end up delivering but after saying 30 minutes it took over an hour. We had to wait and give them another $5 plus give the wrong food back to be thrown away. That was not good business, but the delivery guy was friendly.

Another place that gets business because thats all there is to offer in this small town. Its not even halfway decent food. Multiple coworkers have said the same. You really have to drive to Sake in Albany or Latham to get decent Chinese food. Im down throwing money down the drain.

Whenever I'd be in the mood for sushi I would go to Okinawa. Not high end, but completely acceptable. The last time I ordered tuna rolls the tuna obviously wasn't the freshest. I figured it was just a one time bad experience since they usually we're pretty good. Tonight I ordered tuna rolls again and when I got them home they just looked disgusting. Very pale and slimy looking.They went right in the garbage. I'm done with Okinawa .

awful. I ordered from here because my car was in the shop. I spent a solid 45 dollars on a meal for 3 people. I ordered the general tso's chicken, which was actually good. I also ordered a miso soup, which was so bland I dumped it. boyfriend said steamed dumplings and wonton soup was good. we also ordered cheesecake, which the lady taking our order warned us were 5 dollars a piece, which I was fine with. the cheesecake was obviously past it's expiration date, and the slices were so small it was a bad joke. the pepper tuna did not look fresh at all, kind of grey, so I didn't even taste that. pretty disappointed.

The past two wines I have ordered from Hill they have gone downhill. The first time my order was completely incorrect and this last time my sushi tasted like cigarettes. It had burnt marks on it and tasted AWFUL. I don't normally post reviews but my sushi roll was unfortunately so bad I will not be ordering from here again.

We order from here a lot, and usually get a big order for several people and for ourselves for the next day. I ordered wonton soup last night and when I was eating it for lunch just now I found a pubic hair inside one of my wontons, like... mixed in with the wonton meat. I'm so disgusted.

My 1st time and mt last. Was over cooked. Super greasy. Worst 65.00 I've ever spent

Wife got food poisoning from mixed tempura with shrimp and/or General Tso's chicken.

The only good thing about the food was the fact that it was warm when I got it. Other than that, everything tasted horrible. Especially the general tso's chicken tasting old and not being spicy at all. I didn't even bother eating the egg roll.

This place is garbage! Asked for extra spicy and got sugar coated garbage.

We didn't receive soup with our dinner boxes and the rice tasted bad. Even the salad greens were wilted. We will NEVER go back here. Terrible service and disgusting food. I would give negative stars if I could. So disappointed. Paid over 70.00 for inedible food. If my partner hadn't been starving and suffering from low blood sugar we would have walked out.

They left me with an empty stomach for over an hour, and after Grubhub customer service got in contact with me they ended up canceling the order and was refunded due to the stores incompetence. Not to mention there were drivers waiting there for the order and now it being late most restaurants are closed. It’s truly disappointing that a restaurant couldn’t handle such a basic order. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for a satisfying meal.
