Lovely little diner just outside of Barstow! I’ve met the owners several times, and they’re lovely. The food is great, the decor is novel, and there’s even trivia on every dining table. Our waitress Cindy was an absolute sweetheart and got all our food out quickly. The gift store and ice cream parlor are worth checking out before you leave, as well as the outdoor dinosaur park. You also get a nice view of the tanks across the street in their parking lot if that’s something you’re into. I’ll definitely be coming back here again!
Originally opened in 1954 this little retro diner in tiny Yermo is famous to us Southern Californians because it is halfway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Growing up in San Diego I would also pass this same area as I took the I-15 all the way to Vegas. After this stop it’s about another 90 minutes to 2 hours to Las Vegas so it’s a perfect place to stop during your journey. As the name suggests it’s a classic retro diner specializing in Americana and 1950s aesthetic. I love how local and down home it feels inside and you can tell the place is filled with locals and travelers as well. The entire staff was extremely friendly and stepping inside looks as if you are in a movie revolving around a small town diner. Inside is quite large there are tons of seating options from tables, to booths, to counter seating. There’s also a ton of parking out front so you’ll never have an issue finding a space. Also, in the back is a small outdoor stage and walking garden with fountains, trees, turtles, and metal statues. It would be especially fun to see for kids and is a small version of the Cabazon dinosaurs. I am happy to report that the food here is also really good. As always, I started with a cup of coffee and this blend was a medium roast and very strong, which is my favorite type. For my entrée I chose the Chicken Fried Steak and honestly it was one of the better ones that I’ve had in a while. The steak was extra tender and packed with flavor, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The hashbrowns were a little bit too overdone in my opinion, but overall, I thought it was a great dish and I really enjoyed all of it. I would say this is a must stop if you are in or near the Yermo area and would be a great place to plan for a midway pitstop if you are traveling between Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Reasonable prices, delicious food, and the diner experience you're looking for! I had the mushroom burger with fries and coleslaw. The waitress said they make the coleslaw fresh every morning, and she wasn't kidding! It was great! Parking is aplenty, seating is massive. There is a military complex on the opposite side of the road, so that was interesting! They also have some dinosaur sculptures outside.
All billboards were telling us to visit PEGGY SUE’S and it really was worth it. Doing to drive from Vegas to LA or vise versa this is a MUST ! The food was so good we didn’t even get a chance to take pics but the beef sandwich and meatloaf were absolutely delicious (the gravy is best) the for the pies we did the lemon meringue and Apple pie , the apple pie was just perfection!!! Not too sweet and just so authentic❤️
SO FUN!!! The food was really tasty and the service was quick, there are five dining rooms and even at 11 AM on a Thursday they were all packed with people. The portion sizes were absolutely massive! This has been one of our favorite stops. They also have a fantastic gift shop and a ton of very friendly turtles outside who are used to being fed by guests so come right up to say hi. Lots to see and do. They also have a candy shop/soda bar that makes milkshakes. If you’re headed from SoCal to Vegas definitely go here!
I'm delighted!!! It's a very cool place! It's really cool here! I've put a checkmark on this location. The atmosphere is reminiscent of old America, as seen in movies about the United States. It's clear that this place has been around for a long time. It has its own history with numerous photographs on the walls. The interior design is very creative. There's a large parking lot for trucks! I'll be stopping here whenever possible.
We visited this restaurant for the second time and are absolutely delighted again! The 50s spirit is felt everywhere – in the interior, the music, the vibe. It’s such a pleasant place, and we dream of coming back again. Great food, excellent service, everything is just perfect! 5 out of 5!
Peggy Sue’s has been my twice a year stop to and from Vegas for years. I have to say, not only are they the friendliest staff of people.. they always greet you with recognition and make you feel right at home! Attentive, polite, and the food is always satisfyingly delicious! Happy Birthday to Connie! Thank you! - Paul #takefivewithpaullucido
Must visit!! Came here on recommendation from friends and it was so worth it. We had to wait around 20min but they were quickly over when strolling around the gift shop. The diner is huge and offers a big variety of food options. You have to try the old fashioned Vanilla Coke - it’s the best I ever had!!! We ordered a tweedy sandwich and a Audrey Hepburn sandwich and both were fantastic!!
Courtney was very kind and welcoming. We had to try some classics, like the Peggy Sue Special and my partner had the Patti Page Patty Melt. Both were delicious. The sides are so good too. The potato salad was tasty. The root beer flow was so good! Nostalgic decor that highlights all of the patrons that have walked through the doors adorn the Diner. Such a historic diner!
Absolutely must stop at this place either coming to Vegas or going. All the stuff made us feel right at home and it was pretty busy and we sat down right away. Very good home cooked food. Highly recommended by everyone around the world many stars and famous people have been to this restaurant and they have all types of food for everyone vegetarian vegan, and meat lovers alike
Peggy Sue’s is a classic spot and a great stop if you’re driving through Barstow. The retro decor alone is worth the visit, it feels like stepping back in time. The food is tasty, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is fun and nostalgic. I tried the pineapple milkshake and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended for a unique roadside diner experience.
Want a 50s diner STOP HERE, has tons of great 50s memorabilia and vibe. Inside is packed with things to look at, waitresses dress the part in pink to complete the theme. Stoped for breakfast and ordered classic meals . Unfortunately no eggs Benedict but pancakes are great and food came out hot! Great staff and would absolutely stop again definitely worth the time even for a small bite to eat. Gift shop is great too
Another great place to visit in the desert weather you are diving back or to Las. Vegas this is a pit stop you can not miss. The dinner has so much to see from the backyard with dinasours both dead/metal and alive/turtles to a little pond for the animals to live to a gift shop with so much 1950's goodies, the dinner itself if full of memorabilia, the place is huge, the waitress wear 1950's uniforms, the food is great the portions are huge. Definitely a tourist must see place.
A great place to stop and eat. Food was great. It's like taking a trip back in time. The gift shop has so many cool finds. So much fun at Peggy Sue's. The service was excellent. Definitely stop by and visit, you won't regret it.
Have passed Peggy Sue's for probably 30 years on the way to and from Las Vegas until yesterday. Some friends and I were on the way home from LV and stopped here for breakfast and so glad we did. The food and service was great. You can't tell from the street or even when you walk in, but the restaurant has three areas/sections of seating, an area out back where the Diner Saurs are, a gift shop and even hand tossed pizza that's made to order. There's a lot of great history in the photos throughout the restaurant and just a fun atmosphere. We heard foreign languages being spoken by some of the customers so it appears to be a known tourist spot which is awesome as well. I told my daughter about it, I'll be taking her there and would def. recommend stopping by for some good eats.
We have now visited this place 3 times on our drive from Las Vegas to LA and we love it. It serve great coffee, excellent food and happy staff all at a good price. This place is like stepping back to the 50’s with great pics and memorabilia everywhere. As a little bonus there is a shop on the side selling nostalgic stuff, great for the ideal gift to take home. This place is 10 out of 10 in my opinion. We will be back when In The USA I’m sure. Well worth visit and just off the interstate.
Peggy Sue’s 50s Diner is like stepping into a time machine — and every room gives you a different trip back in time. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the classic diner setup: counter stools lined up front, cozy booths, and waitresses and staff dressed in authentic 50s-style uniforms that instantly set the mood. The dining area we sat in was filled with incredible 1950s Hollywood memorabilia — Lucille Ball, Annette Funicello, Marilyn Monroe, Shirley Temple, and more. It truly felt like eating in a vintage movie set. At each table, there were fun pieces of literature and trivia that made waiting for food entertaining and interactive. Toward the back, there’s even an attached pizza parlor with vinyl records and old-school tiled menu boards, adding yet another layer of nostalgia and charm. As great as the food and atmosphere were, the absolute highlight of our visit was our server, Katie. She was one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had — so kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. Katie made the experience feel extra special, and honestly, if it weren’t for the food and atmosphere, she alone would be the reason we return. If you’re looking for great service, fun nostalgia, and a full 50s experience, Peggy Sue’s is definitely worth the stop.
This was our 3rd time stopping in. As truck drivers we appreciate the space to park and eat. First, I love diners so finding one we could park at was the first allure. Second, the ambiance and decor captured my attention. Thirdly, the experience with the customer service and the food has been great with each visit. Personally the pizza was not for me. We did get one to go for us to have later but the food itself has not disappointed. Will continue to stop on when we can.
Big shout out to Danielle! Shes the engine of the place besides the cooks who make the delicious foods. She fills the place up with kindness and good vibes. Food: We ordered ham, eggs and hash. A Veggie omlette with biscuits Dessert as a guilty treat since they're homemade. Strawberry-rhubarb pie. Highly recommend the pie. Would come here again for the diner experience and it's got a cute Park out back with turtles and ducks.
Will always stop here when driving to Vegas or laughlin. They have amazing service(very friendly, welcoming and attentive), food and desserts. My favorites are banana cream pie and chocolate cream pie. N you have to visit their gift shop. They have a little ice cream parlor in there as well. Great experience overall.
We finally stopped at Peggy Sue’s! The food was great with big portions (don’t skip the pie!) & the service was amazing! Rita was our server & she made the stop that much more enjoyable! Plenty of 50’s memorabilia to look at & the gift shop was bigger than we expected. 10/10 definitely recommend. You won’t regret it!
Peggy Sue's Diner is a delightful step back in time with an authentic 1950s vibe. The food is fresh, delicious, and perfectly complements the nostalgic atmosphere. It's a fun stop for a meal, unique candy, or retro memorabilia shopping. As a woman, I loved the surprising touch in the ladies' bathroom—a quirky highlight! Not sure if the men's room has a similar surprise, but it's worth checking out. Conveniently located, it's the perfect break on the drive to Las Vegas. If you have time, visit Calico Ghost Town just across the street, a mile up the hill—another must-see! Highly recommend!
Really nice home cooked food. We had the Southern fried chicken and the strawberry-rhubarb pie as dessert in the desert. It 30 mins for the food to arrive but it was worth the wait and all fresh and juicy and not at all fatty. Wauv! So well prepared
The food here is honestly a bit overrated, but that’s never really been the point. In the middle of such a remote stretch of desert highway, having a place like this — with character, history, and a sense of nostalgia — is actually a small blessing for travelers. Peggy Sue didn’t build this diner to compete with modern restaurants. She built it to preserve a piece of 1950s American road culture, a place where people could stop, sit down, and take a break from the drive. You don’t come here expecting great food. You come for the atmosphere, the memories, and the simple fact that it’s still here.
I stopped by Peggy Sue's 50's Diner on my way back home from Death Valley National Park, I saw multiple Billboards on the Freeway,I think I might have seen this Billboards over 50 times on my to las vegas, but never ate here, but this time there was no Restaurants from Death Valley National Park and I exited to Peggy Sue's 50's Diner my Friend I ordered, Chicken Fried Steak and New York Steak, both were good and price was affordable. Friendly servers,
Oh wow! SO glad I found this place for our trip, and an absolute must visit especially if you have a taste for American nostalgia and great food! The Diner was full to the brim of things to look at, the staff were very friendly and the food was super yummy, especially the Banana Cream Pie 🥰 Thumbs up all round👍
Came here for the first time after passing it up so many times. It was great from start to finish. I sat at the counter. I had the eggs and hamburger patty with biscuits and gravy. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I walked around after I ate to check out all the sites and gift shop. The woman in the gift shop was super nice and asked if I wanted a shake. Hell yeah I wanted a shake. She was so friendly and professional. The prices were great on everything. I will definitely coming back with friends and family.
Great experience. A must visit on the way from LA to Vegas. 50s styled restaurant with very welcoming staff and beautifully decorated eating hall. We had to wait for a bit before getting seated, they send you to a souvenir shop with a beeper to call you when they are ready to seat you, not for long though. That got us worried about how long we'll have to wait for our food to be served but the food came just a few minutes after we ordered. And the food was great we all had burgers, they came in a bit of a build it yourself manner but tasted great. The lemonades were extremely sweet.
Beautiful diner set at the backdrop of the desert. The whole place has a unique charm. We had a strawberry milkshake and a house made soup. Both were excellent! The shake was the right amount of sweet, thickness and temperature. Rita was wonderful and we had a beautiful conversation which I’m carrying back with me for life! 🤍
Major shout out to April. She is truly setting the bar for excellence when it comes to regards to customer service. Major shout out to Peggy Sue’s 50 diner and all that work here you guys are truly offering a first class experience here anyone passing through Barstow definitely should put this on there to do bucket list. I’ve come here many times traveling from Los Angeles, California to Las Vegas and even when I travel from Los Angeles, California to Chicago Illinois I always make it a point to stop at Peggy Sue’s 50’s diner.
If you’re cruising from California to Vegas, this vintage 1950s roadside diner is an absolute must-stop. The classic retro vibe alone makes it worth pulling over, but the food is what really seals the deal. The eggs are fresh and perfectly fluffy, and the world-famous pancakes live up to the hype — light, delicious, and exactly what you want on a road trip. Service is friendly, the atmosphere feels like stepping back in time, and it’s the perfect break from the drive. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable, old-school diner experience on the way to Vegas! 🥞✨
We've driven by Peggy Sue's Diner numerous times on my way to Las Vegas. We finally decided to stop and give them a try. We were not disappointed! The decor was all 50's related. It's a blast to the past with pictures & figurines of iconic stars such as Elvis, Hepburn, the Lone Ranger, Shirley Temple, the 3 Stooges, Marilyn Monroe, & many more. Their service was excellent and their food was very good! I recommend giving them a try - you won't be disappointed.
My first visit to Peggy's 50s Diner was so cute. The Little Chickadee Salad was fresh and tasty, and Andy’s Tina Turner Tuna Sandwich was pretty good with curly fries. Super friendly service all around — self-seating, neon, checkered floors, retro booths, and a playlist that feels like a time capsule. Loved the attached gift shop—50s souvenirs plus Hello Kitty stuff. Perfect little detour if you’re into retro kitsch.. fun vibe, solid diner bites, super friendly service, cute shop. Worth a stop if you’re nearby.
The large billboards advertising the diner caught my eye on the interstate. Had to stop by and I'm glad I did. There are 3 dining areas so there is more room once you walk through the counter area. Good, hearty food and absolutely excellent pies. Does have the vintage diner decor and the staff were very nice. If it's warmer out I have to try the ice cream next door 😋
Stopped by Peggy Sue’s Diner on the way to Vegas and had a great experience. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun and classic diner style. Our server was outstanding, super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. I unfortunately don’t remember her name, but she truly made the visit even better. Great service all around and I’d definitely stop here again!
This is a quaint little place with nifty 50's theme all around. The women's bathroom is pretty cool, except the mannequin that is leaning up against the wall startled me! LOL! My husband had a salad and it was huge! He really enjoyed it. I had a nice homemade burger and curly fries which were delicious. I loved the staff wearing 50's Diner clothes and they were really friendly. If ever back in Vegas we'll stop by again!
Stepping into this restaurant feels like traveling back in time to the 1950s. From the servers’ outfits to the style of the check, every detail captures the era perfectly. It was such a nice experience to see a place like this in real life, not just in the movies. The food was good, and of course we had to try the pie – definitely worth it. The atmosphere is charming, especially in the original section, which feels authentic and full of character. The newer extension feels a little less natural, but still adds space for the many guests. Be prepared to wait, as it’s very popular and not meant to be fast food – but the overall experience makes it worthwhile. One thing to know: they don’t accept NFC payments, so you’ll need a physical card or cash.
I had such high expectations for this place, I had driven from San Francisco to Vegas with the intention on stopping here. Food was great, the diner was awesome. One star deducted as the service was unfortunately not up to par, they weren’t busy but it seemed our server had little interest in creating a positive memorable experience here. I won’t publicly name my server but if you wish to hear more about my experience then let me know who to email
This is my go-to spot during a road trip to Las Vegas from Los Angeles. It's 1/2 way in between which is perfect. There's a gas station at this exit as well. I've been several times but finally leaving a review. Last time we dined here was Thurs., 3/27/2025 and it's refreshing to see diversity up in here! The Blob is very good!! Was my first time having it and will definitely get this again! Super cute 50s diner! @travel_lifestyle_chow
Travel back in time in Peggy Sue's diner. That's the ambiance is all about. The food was ok, and the diner can be sensory overload. When its busy it might take awhile for you to get seated and have your orders taken. Overall, its an ok time machine diner. There is also a gift shop where you can buy or look around for some merchandise until you are called for your seat.
This place is an old diner from 1954. It was reopened in the 80's, and some additional space was added. The food was delicious (Philly cheesesteak), the pie was out of this world good (coconut cream pie). The staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was that of a busy busy diner with noise and laughter. Its in an unusual location, and visitors are plenty, so there may be a wait.
Simple good food. Very large portions and large menu options with good pricing and friendly service. Lots of seating so we had no wait at 11 am on a Sunday but by the time we left their was a 20 min wait. Cute theme. Special diets note: no vegan options or alternative milk/creamer for the coffee.
Cool unique place to stop on the way to vegas. Drove by it so many times had to finally stop. The best part was the service. Our waitress was named Jenn. She was friendly sweet and knowledgeable. She recommended the banana pie to my husband and it was so good, best thing we ordered except maybe the chocolate malt. Definitely worth the stop.
I am still in disbelief that I even need to write this review. Let me start by saying yes, the decor is cute. VERY cute. The whole 1950’s theme is clearly designed to distract you from what’s REALLY going on. And it worked at first. I genuinely thought this was going to be a charming stop on our way back from a lovely Christmas vacation in Las Vegas to California. I could not have been more wrong. I ordered the so-called “famous” Peggy Sue’s 50’s Burger with curly fries and a green salad. I’ll admit it the food tasted great. At the time. I was impressed. I even thought, Wow, this doesn’t compare to fast food at all! But looking back, that was clearly the calm before the storm. Because shortly after eating, I began to feel unwell. I told myself I must’ve overeaten. That I was just bloated. I brushed it off like a fool who trusted this establishment. By the time I got home around 6 PM, I felt so off that I immediately went to bed. A few hours later, the nausea started and I felt the urge to vomit. I Took Pepto Bismol. Still hopeful. STILL WRONG. The next morning was an absolute nightmare. I woke up with a SEVERE, PAINFUL, UNIGNOREABLE stomach ache, intense nausea, and the awful feeling that something was very, very wrong. My stomach was bubbling nonstop, it sounded like a science experiment happening inside of me. I barely made it to the bathroom. Barely. It was humiliating, painful, and completely miserable. Turns out I had gotten the stomach bug. And suddenly, everything clicked. This place is honestly unsanitary. Employees using the SAME bathroom as customers is already a major red flag. Hygiene clearly is not a priority here. Add to that the fact that my uncle was HIT with a serving tray and also not to mention the fact that the waitress had the audacity to say “Don’t tell my manager he’s gonna say Im abusing the customers” with a huge grin on her face, I did not find that funny at all, a waitress had DROPPED my mother’s soda on the floor. Not once did it feel like anyone truly cared or took responsibility. No urgency. No professionalism. No concern. I am beyond disappointed. The lack of cleanliness, the careless service, and the physical aftermath of eating here completely ruined what should’ve been a simple meal stop. Yes, the food tasted good but that does NOT excuse getting sick and feeling miserable afterward. I expected better. I deserved better. And I will NOT be coming back. Do yourself a favor and don’t let the cute decor fool you like it fooled me.
Authentic 50's diner and gift shop. A perfect place to stop for food about halfway on the drive between Las Vegas to Los Angeles. Very fun atmosphere. Food was good. Service was great. You'll be happy you stopped..and if you have kids, they'll love it. They have 4 or 5 separate rooms with varying themes including a pizza parlor. Just go.
We gave in and stopped by to try this place out. Somewhat nostalgic with signed pictures on the walls. A large figure/statue of Elvis with an actual guitar. A rather large gift shop on one side with a ice cream shop attached to it. Most of the staff was wearing nostalgic type outfits. Anyway, the menus had and offered breakfast to dinner choices, and most had you add two sides to them. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and got very busy quickly after we had ordered.
Doing the drive between Vegas and LA you will pass this place and wonder whats it like? So this time we decided to actually stop and try it out. The interior is very different from most places and its much bigger that you think when you first enter. We went for sandwiches (BLT & Turkey sandwich), fries curls and onion rings as sides. We also had sodas and their strawberry shake. We liked it, proper craftmanship and the shake was great! Next time I urge you to actually stop here - I recommend this place.
Ive Passed by this spot dozens of times on our way to Vegas and had never stopped to try. Im glad I did, as I stepped into the doors it was like being transported back in time. The atmosphere was awesome and the place is a-lot bigger inside than it looks from the 15 freeway. The food was good and plentiful with BIG portions . The service was excellent and the staff super friendly and helpful. Im bummed that I hadn’t tried it sooner. If you are making the trip through Yermo anytime soon, make time for this gem, Well worth the visit.
Was happy to find a place this breakfast place on my way home from Las Vegas. Love the vibe and '50s atmosphere. The food was good, but the prices were a bit high. We paid almost $50 between two breakfasts, coffees, taxes and tip. Those are some high-end prices for a place that's way off the Las Vegas strip. Service was excellent, friendly wait staff, and coffee refills. Definitely worth it.
We always see this diner off the 15fwy, every time we go to and come back from Las Vegas, and have always wanted to stop by and try it out. Since we had a day trip planned for Barstow, we decided to finally try it out. From the moment you drive up to the diner, to the moments you walk in and find a table to sit at, the atmosphere definitely makes you feel like you entered a 50's diner. All the furniture and decorations were all of the 50's music and celebrities. You can sit at whatever table you'd like, as long as it wasn't a reserved table. The strawberry shake and banana cream pie are both a "must" to order. My husband finished the shake within seconds and the slice of pie was big enough to share between three people. My husband ordered Charlie the Tuna Melt Sandwich and chili cheese fries, I ordered the Fabian French Dip sandwich with curly fries and their house soup. I wish I could say everything was delicious, but nothing was out of the ordinary. Food was salty and the flavor wasn't something I would go out and tell my friends about. The waitresses weren't that friendly and were kind of rude at times, walking away while we were still talking to them. I'm not sure if that's how service was back in the 50's and maybe they were supposed to act the part, but it definitely one of the reasons I wouldn't recommend this diner to friends and family. The restrooms were disgusting, old, and had flies flying around (we used the 3 stall restrooms outside). The back of the diner had the dinosaur structures and turtle ponds, which were really cute. Overall, I would just recommend this diner for the dinosaurs and turtle pond.
They missed the mark completely! Met my nephew here he was about 30 minutes ahead of me and asked him to order us food to go, they said they dont do that, yet their Google listing allows me to make a order for pickup. We all 3 of us ordered the Frankie Avalon Philly sandwich. For my wife she wanted mashed potatoes and gravy for her side, they would not substitute and we ended up paying extra for a side of mashed. The bun on the sandwich was super dry, and the curly fries you normally get elsewhere are seasoned fries, in this case its just a plain fry cut curly. Finally I went to the restroom and found it foul and appalling, there was trash and toilet paper on the floor behind the toilets, both stalls were completely filthy with yellow and brown streaks and public hair on the seat, when I went to wash my hands there was no soap in the dispenser. Totally disappointed!
Passed this place many times, so thought I would give it try. Not all it's hyped up to be. Wasn't overly impressed with this restaurant. Had the Philly Cheese sandwich. Way over cooked and could not finish it. Server was dour and unfriendly. I also had a side of mashed potatoes. Taste was good, but too thick and gravy was terrible. I did have the Chocolate Shake, which was good but highly priced @ $6.95. Yes, they have nice memorabilia throughout the restaurant, but I went to EAT not LOOK.
Since reading about Peggy Sue’s diner before our route 66 trip, we were looking forward to paying it a visit. As we’d already had lunch elsewhere earlier we decided to stop by for a milkshake, as we entered we were ushered to a table with menus, when we explained we’d already eaten and only wanted milkshakes, we were swiftly moved. Through to gift shop where milkshakes were made, here we were met by 2 unhappy looking woman. No welcome, no smiles, no where are you from (Scotland) nothing. Would I ever return NO the diner itself was also bit of a disappointment 😔
A bit of a weird experience. The sign at the front says to seat yourself, which we did, and then my group was told we needed to move because there were only 3 of us and it was a table for 5. (There were plenty of empty tables of all sizes, including other tables for 5 or more, I just wanted to sit next to the Elvis statue.) Overall, my hopes of enjoying a cheesy, fun roadside attraction with my friends were stymied by the tired, chilly atmosphere. The food was nothing to write home about. I'm including a photo with my review of a sign in the restaurant that sums up my feelings on this place.
I grabbed pie and wished I hadn't. Bland and artificial tasting. Nothing #homemade about it. The "cream" on top was thick and had a tough skin. The pudding in the pale bland crust was overly sweet. Had to throw it out. Was definitely several days old. Waste of $7.
I brought my service dog with me, while sitting down my service dog was comforting me and the employees didn’t let me explain. When I checked the floor, the floor was sticky and I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my service dog on the ground. My family and I decided to leave and it was heart breaking cause I was celebrating my birthday. Sadly left with a heartache. If you are looking for a good place to eat breakfast and have a service dog, please DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE!
Our waitress sucked. It took a long time for her to come to the table, and after getting our food she didn't check in to see if we needed anything. I felt like I was literally yelling because she kept saying "huh?" and when I asked her what came on the tuna sandwich she looked at me with a blank face. After all that the food was average at best. Good strawberry milkshake though.
Stopped in for a bite to eat, I’m over the road truck driver. Would’ve been better satisfied stopping at Loves to get a subway. And I hate Subway. Food was extremely overpriced portions small food was not appetizing, but I was hungry so I ate a portion of it. I do not recommend any body stopping here thinking that they’re gonna get a great meal for a decent price. Ask for a water with lemon I got flat water that taste like sewer and of course I received one lemon. But had a lot of nostalgia, chairs were uncomfortable, a.k.a. booth falling apart very uncomfortable.
If anyone is familiar with a country fried steak, you won't find anything like it here. It was a thin sheet of breading on wet and chewy meat that had already fallen off before it got to my table. The hashbrowns were soggy. The John Denver omelet my wife got was okay but did not live up to his name. The only thing good was the Barq's root beer.
