The Hongkong chef has good technique. Abalone sauce isn’t too salty. There is balance and finesse. A very enjoyable lunch.
Refined Cantonese cuisine with a wide selection and impeccable service. Service: The Manager and wait staff provided excellent and attentive service and were very accommodating of my child. One of the rare times that the wait staff were able to keep up with topping up my Chinese tea, and I am an avid tea drinker :) Food: The new Executive Chef has maintained his high standards of food. All the dishes were made to excellent Cantonese food standards. The char siu, roasted pork belly, steamed fish, lobster noodles, XO Cheong fun, dim sum, dessert, every single item were of high standards. Drinks: Excellent variety of tea Parking: Parking is tight but of sufficient quantity with a complimentary parking coupon provided. I look forward to returning to sample the upcoming refreshed menu.
Came specially for the Peking duck, which was really melt-in-the-mouth good. The unique abalone tart in the dim sum wowed us too with how crumbly the tart was. Service was top notch as well. After the meal, it came with complimentary desserts that we really enjoyed.
Amazing dining experience. Service was impeccable, with staff gladly recommending off-menu specialties that impressed. Chef Chan’s return has elevated & refined the dishes, with creations that shine in a serene & elegant setting.
Wonderful experience! Everything was impeccable - The food, service, atmosphere. We had the restaurant week lunch menu. All items were delicious but I loved the dim sum and soup in particular. A good place to bring parents or for business meetings.
Jiang-Nan Chun is a Chinese restaurant located in Four Seasons Hotel. Its interior is decorated in a traditional Chinese way. Their service deserves more than 5 stars. Their cantonese food is top notch. Just order the chef’s specialties. They are really tasty. Crispy Pork Belly with Mustard, Braised Fortune Beancurd Parcel with Dried Oyster, Conpoy, Pork Belly and Seasonal Vegetables, and Tiramisu with Imperial Pu Er Tea are highly recommended. If you want to try their Peking Duck, you will need to order in advance. Peking Duck comes in one whole duck with sauces and caviar. For all the dishes we ordered and showed in picture, it costs around $160 per person. It’s family friendly restaurant.
Beautiful dining room. Excellent service. The food. Wow. The best Peking duck ever!. The pork belly was exceptional with the delicate crispy skin. The prawn and scallop hotpot delicate and moorish. The sweet and sour pork was next level. Highly recommend.
This is a go-to place if you are looking for Cantonese fine dining. The chef really looks into the details of the dishes presented. Staff are attentive, and service is good. They gave parking coupon for diner too.
Came to celebrate my mum’s birthday today. Every dish is very tastefully done. I love especially their lobster dish, very fresh! Definitely highly recommend. 👍🏻 Service is also top-notch.
One of the best lunches I’ve had in a while: every dish was exquisitely prepared and presented, and service from Lily completed the experience. I usually don’t order barbecued meats/chicken but it’s a definitely must here because of their special oven and preparation methods. The chicken was unlike anything I’ve ever had and so tender - yet not overly oily or fatty. The sweet and sour pork was also DIVINE - the right amount of meat and the sauce was viscous and went so well with their individually steamed bowls of rice. Hope they have more choices of steamed dim sum as we would love to explore more options.
I would give 10 stars if I could! peking duck was crispy and delicate, some came with caviar, out of this world. Sweet and sour pork is fried to perfection, highly recommend to the first timers here! The crispy skin pork and barbecue pork is really nice also, dongpo rou was fatty and juicy but not too greasy. Celebrated my husband’s birthday here :) Staff are really kind, attended to everything we asked for. In conclusion, if you are finding a good Chinese fine dining, this is an excellent restaurant! I cannot express how good my meal was! :)
Chinese fine dining, most items are individual portion so it is easy even for someone to enjoy a meal alone. Service is attentive and prompt.
We originally came for peeking duck, but the waitress advised us that it would be too much food for the two of us, which I appreciated! We got one of the chefs menus instead. My favorite was the chili prawns and my least favorite was the fried rice, it just wasn't anything special compared to the other dishes. Service was great and they even set up a kids place setting for our baby, which was sweet, even though he is much too young for solid foods.
Was recommended the Peking duck here so came for simple Sunday lunch with the family. Both the food, ambience and service was top notch. Pleasantly surprised the duck came with a Caviar offering. The appetisers and the meal end pineapple tarts were a special touch. The pictures speak for themselves. Will look to visit again when a special occasion arises.
The best Beijing Duck I had in SG. Second dish can be made into soup. Reservation is required, and pre-order for the duck and soup have to be made in advance as well. Recommend to try the soft shell crab and white bait fish appetisers. Can skip the spinach egg which is too salty. As to the Lobster pao fan, meat seems over cooked so slight tough. The restaurant has strict attire requirements.
The best Chinese restaurant and best Beijing duck place I have been in Singapore. Especially 4 highlights : 1. Beijing duck skin is super crispy, really good balance oily and freshness feeling, eating with caviar is also new try 2. Dim sum like mushroom dumpling is the “game changer”... 3. Top class service “omotenashi” 4. Classic atmosphere. Will definitely visit again!
Peking Duck was the highlight here. Level up with a touch of caviar. The duck here is more lean and crisp but I do think a little of fat adds to the flavour. Still good nonetheless. Had a soup (meh, especially for that price) and a Soft Shell Crab with Crab Meat (which was yums, creamy but not to the point of being jelak, guess it helped that we shared instead of having 1 each) and a refreshing petite fours of Osmanthus Jelly and Pineapple Tart. The complimentary birthday cake was delish too, reminded much of Ritz's Royal Caraibe from 20 years back. Dark bittersweet choc mousse on a layer of caramelised crunch. Service was top notch, attentive yet but imposing, always there but invisibly.
Lou tai yan yu set ($158++): 1. Amuse bouche (radish with mini abalone) - Not bad. 2. Dim sum platter (crystal cod fish dumpling with morel mushroom and truffle, crispy silky turnip pastry with dried shrimps and ham, steamed crystal mushroom dumpling, crispy pork belly with mustard) - Good. The roast pork was tender and fatty yet the skin was crispy. 3. Traditional Cantonese soup (pork and fig) - Good. Herbal but sweet. 4. Braised pacific spiny lobster with superior stock - Excellent. Fresh and meaty. 5. Wok-fried Australian beef tenderloin with portobello mushrooms - Good. Tender. 6. Palette cleanser (calamansi juice) - Fine. 7. Fried rice, prawns, crab meat, scallops, butterscotch mushrooms with abalone sauce - Good. 8. Chilled aloe vera, lemongrass jelly - Good. Refreshing. 9. Petit fours - Good pineapple pastry and excellent osmanthus flower jelly. Excellent service. Nice ambience.
We celebrated the relaxation of covid measures on outside dining by having proper dim sum at this wonderful place. Might sound like im generalising but the truth is that everything was top notch; from the quality and taste of the food, cleanliness and safe distancing, and ultimately the service. There are other photos i would have shared here to demonstrate the latter but it is against my own privacy norms so i can only state that the attention to detail and effort to make our dining experience pleasant were unmatched. Things you normally would have to request in other places, in this restaurant u dont have to ask; almost as if they have an extra sense. Would definitely come again in future.
One of the best Peking ducks ever! Please note that all other dishes, despite the high price, are portions for one pax only. Very expensive but worth the Michelin star!
Had an enjoyable afternoon with mom. It’s e time of the year when you spend time with your loved ones and pamper her with all her favourite food. I made the right choice. Good food, good service, good ambience and of cos, good daughter! 🤣 Took e festive menu that started today and will end on 31 Dec.
Simply the best. Great for special occasions or business lunch/ dinner. Or you’re simply rich and can afford it. Sweet & sour pork one of the best I’ve tasted. I liked the Ee fu noodle too. The normal one, not the one with lobster. And the dessert: yam paste with pudding and bird’s nest. So much better than Teochew orh nee.
Good food, Top notch service, Private and Cosy ambience! What more can you ask for? Thumbs up to the Prawns and Beef. Ingredients used are very fresh. Didn't have the chance to try the Peking duck as portion is too much for 2. Will definitely return again for the Peking duck. The staffs surprised me with a chocolate bday cake which taste really awesome. One of the nicest chocolatey cake I've tried. They mentioned this cake is their best seller! Definitely a 5/5 stars!
We celebrated our reunion dinner at Jiang Nan Chun for the first time and it did not disappoint. The setting was elegant and festive, creating a wonderful atmosphere for family celebration. Each course was nicely executed with reasonable portions. Service was attentive and warm, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Definitely a place we would return to
The restaurant has warmly welcomed back Chef Alan, who has been leading the kitchen for almost three months now. His new menu is fantastic, with plenty of exciting dishes that clearly show his personal touch. The food is comforting, served hot, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was tasty, satisfying, and made with great care. The menu is also very extensive, with lots of options and attractive set menus, definitely a reason for me to come back and try more next time! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience, Chef Alan and his team are doing an amazing job.
A very cosy and posh place for Chinese cuisine. Tried their famous Peking duck with caviar which made it really special. The duck skin was crispy and was nice to go with their original sauce. The fish maw soup was think with broth and the lobster with glass noodle was 👍. The fried noodles with duck meat was my fav with wok taste.
This was one of the best Chinese meals I have had in a long long long time. I have been eating at a series of restaurants masquerading as outstanding fine dining restaurants for the past few months, but this is not one of them. The food and service were outstanding. The dish pairing that makes up the final flavour was imaginative and honestly, left me thinking of coming back again. I would recommend this place in a heart beat. LOVED it.
It wasn't our first rodeo here but on our recent visit, we did come away with an epiphany that Jiang Nan Chun trumps a few others when you're after an elegant Cantonese fix without the riff-raff or the usual noisy restaurant bustle. There's a certain calm and it feels almost like a forgotten sanctuary where the service level is consciously inoffensive and the food is subjectively well-executed, though some of their flavours did not bode well with us and we prefer the taste profiles of our other dining haunts. Staples like har gao and siew mai were decent but rather pedestrian. Where they really excelled was with the unorthodox, like a pan-fried yam cake (instead of the usual turnip), a puffy seared beef bun and a surprisingly crisp and gorgeous flaky layered pastry with moist shredded radish within. So while there were both hits and misses, the whole experience was hardly dissatisfying. Sadly, it hasn't piqued our curiosity enough to venture further. Of course, YMMV.
We had a lovely dining experience at Jiang-Nan Chun, located in the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful and courteous—they assisted us with booking the table in advance, which made everything smooth and seamless from the moment we arrived. We chose the tasting menu ($188 per person), which featured a curated selection of refined Cantonese dishes. Overall, the food was good, with a few standout highlights. The double-boiled pork ribs soup with sea whelk and dried scallops was especially comforting—deeply flavorful and nourishing, truly one of the best courses of the evening. Another highlight was the Cherry Valley Peking Duck, which was beautifully roasted. The staff carved and rolled it tableside for us, adding a touch of ceremony to the experience. The skin was crisp and the duck tender, making it a delight to eat. The hot almond cream with egg white was a pleasant surprise to end the meal—creamy, smooth, and subtly sweet. Some of the other dishes were more standard in execution, but still enjoyable. Overall, the service, ambience, and selected dishes made for an elegant and satisfying meal. Worth trying if you’re looking for an elevated take on Cantonese cuisine.
A Good Chinese Cuisine Fine Dining I Would Choose To Return For Other Tries... Their Seafood Are Fresh!! Their Services Are Superb Too~ 🥰🥰🥰
Food was good, natural taste of the ingredients are brought out. Very pricey but good for celebrations.
Peking duck with caviar gave it an interesting briny twist. The other dishes were just ok. I was expecting more from the price. Service was very good. Offered parking voucher to me as well.
Purposely came to try their hot n sour soup as friend told me it’s the best that he has tried so far. Chef put lobster into the soup n I found it not sour enough n in fact a bit sweet. Tried their dim sum too and it’s good compared to others in Singapore. Lobster 泡飯is a bit too much in lobster. That’s why it costs $68 for 1 bowl enough for 1 pax only.😅 Roasted pork is tender, their signature. Service is fantastic! They give out free appetiser and desserts.
Came here for a father's day dinner - did not disappoint. Even my dad that is hard-to-please with food had a great time, with his only lament being that the fried rice was such a small bowl. It is fine dining, so do expect dishes that are smaller in size but great in quality (and price haha) We got the peking duck for 148 that came with caviar, soon hock, claypot veg, sea whelk soup, a fried rice and a noodle. Do note some items are charged per person, while others are charged by weight or by serving, read the menu carefully. The service was exceptional - we were served a welcome drink, amuse bouche, dessert (the famous four seasons pineapple tart) and a cleansing palette drink. Over the meal, the staff also attentively checked if we needed anything and kept our tea cups filled. I was also offered a shawl as it was rather cold. The only thing I didn't like was that the ee fu mian was cooked al dente (which required skill!) But meant that it wasn't the soft soggy wet noodle that ee fu mian is supposed to be - it was more dry and hard. Personal preference i guess. The chef is also retiring this month, and next month onwards will be helmed by an executive chef that used to work here!
Braised pork belly was my favourite, other dishes are delicious but not worth the price paid, specially went for the sweet and sour pork which some articles claim is the best in Singapore. I think for $42++ I expected something more special, overall the ambience was really good and exceptional services. The Peking Duck, was served with caviar (something special), however we topped an additional $20 to request the duck meat to be cooked as Gongbao Chilli Duck but somehow the meat was reduced by a lot hmmm… all in all it was a good experience just not so value for money.
Went for lunch where we got the dim sum and the peking duck. Overall, I would say that the food was decent but missed the mark for me. Ordered the chef signature dim sum, and the overall tastes were the same, mainly on the salty flavour profile with truffle or superior sauce . Some of the dim sum skin like the lobster dumpling broke very easily and stuck to one another, which meant all the fillings fell out. Next, dim sum also felt a bit like it was putting expensive ingredients together, and that aside from the cod dumpling, i felt like I could have only the expensive ingredient in non dim sum form. Making it into dim sum didn’t elevate the dim sum or the ingredient. The peking duck was good and crispy. Caviar didn’t add much in my opinion. Overall good. Staff were friendly but busy. They were quite prompt in refilling tea etc. I think I wouldn’t come for the dim sum, but maybe the duck and their normal alacarte dishes.
Amazing food the place look amazing and our waitress was one of the most professional iv ever seen. Only negative point is the price which tend to be quite too high. Other than that it was great. They deserve a little visit from the Michelin guide ;)
Lovely service . The Peking duck was one of the best in town , the caviar was a lift to the taste and complete every little parcel you put into your mouth. The skin was crispy and the meat was tender and juicy. The birdnest crab soup was very gentle and light , generous lump of bird nest and crab meat.Never add a single drop of vinegar the soup just wonderful on its own. The hot and spicy was on the other hand lack of original flavour. Only spicy nothing but spicy and boring . The few slice of lobster didn’t help to win a wow on the soup. The cod fish was succulent and nicely pan fried came with a light soya base sauce. The half braised lobster was fresh. The oxtail was delicious , I like the touch of lemon grass oil , gave me a familiar and interesting combination with the oxtail , you can smell it feel it but don’t taste it on the meat. The second done of the duck was stir fried with spring onion the taste was nice but the meat was in thick slices and tough return half the plate. Last signature lobster rice in superior soup the soup base was very good. The Ee fu noodle was bland . We did end it well with the egg white almond dessert the texture was just nice and smooth . Over all lot of effort done in their stock base and allowing all the fresh ingredient to blossom in their original taste without overpowering each other . The only disappointment was never get to taste the deep fried crab shell filled with crab meat.
Came here for a wedding dinner on 26 June. The Peking duck was amazing, the wrapper skin is too thick. The aloe Vera jelly with peach gum was refreshing. The roasted crispy chicken could be better as it was dry. The fried rice with Sakura prawns was very nice and fluffy. The wasabi prawns was nice but it will be good if the wasabi sauce is separate as a dip instead of being lathered all over the prawns, as it was too much and salty. The sea cucumber with abalone and seasonal vegetable was nice. Balanced and not too salty. The abalone cordyceps soup was light and sweet. Steamed soon hock was great. Very fresh. Jellyfish starter was spicy and “started” my appetite 😝
Peking duck served with caviar, first time trying and it was exciting. This is definitely the better Peking duck you can get in Singapore. Other dishes taste pretty average here and price is on the higher side. Service is great though and the restaurant has a very nice Chinese decor. Other than the duck, their complimentary birthday cake impressed us too. If you are looking for Peking duck and celebrating a birthday, this is the place to go.
Decor and ambiance is traditional Chinese restaurant. Chairs are uncomfortable. Service is fast and friendly. A large menu as you would find in many Chinese restaurants. However, I felt the food was disappointing. It lacked taste and was bland. Even the signature Peking Duck was not impressive. Overall an average restaurant
Had a nice Father’s day dinner at the restaurant, where the restaurant was rather packed. The set menu (topped up $ to include the Peking Duck) was ordered for my dining party, and the food was served in courses. Standout dishes to me were the prawns and the almond tea (dessert). Service was also conducted at a fine pace, and my dining party did not feel rushed to complete our courses. The wait staff was also observant and prompt with the refilling of tea. However, given the price of dining here (about $200/pax) one could hope that the quality of food would be better. No doubt that the ingredient quality was good; but the Peking duck could have been more crispy; and the soup as well as the lettuce made from the diced duck meat was served cold.
One of the worst Michelin Chinese restaurants in Singapore, the atmosphere is great I have to admit. However, the quality of the food they serve is not ideal. The fish seemed to be overdone, the char siu was really lean and dry and the vege we ordered was bitter. We ordered a Nian Gao since it is CNY and it took them almost an hour to serve it to us. Overall disappointing.
We tried the steamed vegetables dumplings - chewy and bouncy skin texture plus the natural sweetness and freshness of prawn and vegetables. XO fried carrot cake has good chap Poh and XO taste but hoping the carrot cake could be more crispy skin. BBQ 3 kinds - great flavor on roasted pork cube, duck was cooked to perfection, char Siew was the disappointment with hard to chew tendons... Braised Tofu Hotpot was nicely braised with balanced sauce, just the veggies didn't manage to absorb the sauce. The Biggest Disappointment was the Signature Claypot Rice with wax sausage and pork ribs. The meat was pathetically small in portion which we couldn't enjoy well. We were charged $60 for two on the Claypot Rice!! It's day light robbing! Service was not doubt to praise however no service staff never bother to check with us on the food. So we are not coming back!
Overall disappointing experience. The first course of the peking duck with pancakes was delicious but that was the only positive thing about the dinner. The coursing of the meal was off. No dim sum at dinner so you go straight to the main course of peking duck. That's ok but then there's nothing to follow it up. The fried rice was not edible...we ordered both styles and no one ate more than a bite. Super salty and it felt like they were trying too hard. The "second course" was the remaining duck with noodles and it tasted terrible. Bummed we went here and would not return. On a positive note the service was good and it was a very quite environment. Absolutely not worth the price though.
The food was mediocre at best, but the service was good. We made a reservation for seven beforehand, yet the table we were assigned was extremely small, could not even fit the dishes we ordered. Compared to other Chinese restaurants in this price bracket, such as those at the Ritz Carlton and Hilton, this dining experience left much to be desired. BBQ Meat Combination 2/5 Steamed Star Groupa 2.5/5 Peking Duck 3/5 Sweet and Sour Pork 4/5 Stir fried Kai Lan 1/5
Went for CNY luncheon, disappointed with the 1 Michelin Star food though service was good. Nothing special or impressive that I decided not to capture many photos since it was of mediocre standards for a menu price close $300 per pax. Dessert not sweet and flavourful at all. Not sure if the Michelin star was a standstill from olden days!.
First off this has to be the oldest and least nice Four Seasons in the portfolio - pretty shocking for Singapore. The restaurant is equally old and badly needs an update. I don’t mind paying up for food in a fun / chiq environment but this is not it. The meal started off poorly after finding out they do not offer a half portion of the Peking duck (the main reason we came to the restaurant). The service was poor as well - they never introduced themselves, multiple people interacted with no consistency, and no one asked us what we thought of the food. The food that we did order is overpriced with tiny portions and unfortunately multiple items in our meal were cold (even though the restaurant was mainly empty) which was very off-putting. How do they not use warmers?? I cannot recommend this place even though the small amount of hot food we were given was tasty. Would recommend to go elsewhere!
Our family had new year lunch today. Understanding restaurant was fully booked , we waited for average 20- 25 mins in between each dish . We wanna to leave a good memory as first day of 2026. A Chinese staff who wearing black color jacket and spectacles , estimated 1.65m height with Chinese ancient , she showed impatience on her face obviously when taking photo for us . She pressed very quickly when we were still adjusting the positions. At the end , none of photo is satisfied. Although Pecking Duck is nice, probably we won’t return.
We dined here on Saturday, 21 February at 8pm, booked by friends visiting from the US who were staying at the Four Seasons. Unfortunately, one of our friends fell seriously ill and was unable to attend the dinner. The service was the main disappointment of the evening. One of the waitresses — possibly the manager — appeared visibly impatient while taking our order and gave the impression that she could not wait to be done with us. She also commented that we had ordered “too little,” which felt unnecessary and came across as condescending, leaving us uncomfortable as diners. In addition, when we asked about credit card promotions, we were given a flat “no” without any explanation. After later noticing promotions advertised on the DBS website and probing further, the response shifted to a vague verbal comment that “maybe Chinese New Year, no promotions,” with no clarity on terms or conditions. The lack of a clear, courteous explanation — and the dismissive manner in which the query was handled — suggested either unfamiliarity with the promotions or a lack of willingness to explain. A more informed and polite response would have been appreciated. The food, however, was excellent and ultimately the saving grace of the experience. The dishes were refined, well-executed, and fully deserving of the restaurant’s strong reputation. The kitchen clearly operates at a very high level. For a restaurant of this calibre, service should match the quality of the food. While the cuisine was outstanding, the service fell short of expectations, resulting in a mixed overall experience.
