Amazing Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup! The broth is rich, clear, and full of flavor, with no greasiness at all. The beef is tender and generously portioned, and I've ordered thick type hand-pulled noodles which have the perfect texture — you can really taste the freshness. Everything feels authentic, from the spices to the balance of flavors. The service is fast and friendly, and the portions are very satisfying for the price. This is hands down one of the best noodle soups I’ve had. Highly recommend if you’re looking for real Lanzhou-style beef noodles!

Excellent food and service by the staff! They brought out plates to share with and noodle scissors promptly so that we all could try everyone else's dish, which added to the homely feel of the meal. Portion sizes were huge as well. The noodles were delicious, hand pulled after we ordered, and each dish was uniquely flavored. We tried a soup based, sauce based, and stir fried noodle dish and they were all so good. Would highly recommend and this place is definitely on our return list!

Hands down among the best noodles joints in the area. Such a true hidden gem. Food is absolutely delicious, portions are generous, and service is fast.

Very delicious!!! We had the lamb spine and it was marinated and seasoned so well. The service was pretty fast and the staff was very nice. Definetly recommend coming here and trying the food, its not like anywhere else. Food this good usually costs way more but for two people we only spent $30 and left satisfied.

Great authentic braised beef noodle soup place. Their noodles are hand made and you can pick the thickness. Enjoyed the food and atmosphere!

My travels to many parts of China never included the the dining experience of hand-pulled noodles. Very delighted with the dexterity of the chef in preparing varied thicknessrs of noodles as we watched in awe. Since it is possible to "garnish" the delicate flavor of the soups without being served pre-loaded varieties from the kitchen, we truly enjoyed the generous portions of protein in the large serving bowls. Of course, we took our time to consume the full order since a lot of time was spent in transferring the ultra long noodles from the larger bowls to the smaller individual ones. Thoughtfully, the friendly servers provided scissors owing to our inexperience. The menu may appear limited but since there are multiple choices for protein, your options are very expansive. There are hot and cold appetizers. We tried the beef roll. The pastry wrapping had the conventional phyllo texture and the beef was very aromatic with herbal elements. There are some yogurt (+ rice) drinks but the additives sink to the bottom quickly.

If you're on the hunt for some real authentic Chinese food, and you need it to be halal, this is your spot. The vibe is just awesome from the moment you walk in. It's not your typical restaurant; it's a whole experience. You feel this cool energy, and then you see it—a master noodle puller right there at the counter, stretching and shaping dough with this crazy, rhythmic flow. It's like dinner and a show, and I could seriously watch it all day. Knowing they're committed to serving a fully halal menu just makes the whole experience even better. And the food... We started with the scallion pancakes, which were perfect—crispy, flaky, and not greasy at all. The Stir Fry Noodles were killer, and the Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle and Soup was a soul-soothing masterpiece, packed with that rich, halal beef flavor. But the real game-changer was the Dry Noodles with Sauce. Whatever they put in that sauce is pure magic. It was this rich, savory flavor bomb that coated every single noodle. Hands down, the best thing on the table, and knowing it's all prepared with care as a halal dish is a huge plus. DH Noodles is a legit gem. You can taste the passion and authenticity in every single bite. Go for the noodles, stay for the show, and get ready to have your mind blown by some incredible halal Chinese food.

If you’re looking for authentic halal Chinese food in Plano, DH Noodles is a must-try. The hand-pulled noodles are legit – fresh, chewy, and full of flavor. We ordered a spread and everything hit the spot. The Big Chicken Plate is a whole experience — spicy, bold, and perfect for sharing. The Spicy Braised Lamb was rich and tender, packed with flavor. The Sliced Beef in Chili Oil had the perfect kick without being overwhelming. And of course, the Lanzhou Beef Noodles were comforting, with that classic clear broth and tender beef slices. The Beef Rolls were a favorite – crispy, juicy, and just the right texture. We also tried the Lamb Burger; the flavor was on point, though the bread was a bit dry. All in all, it’s rare to find halal food with this level of authenticity and variety. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving something different, hearty, and delicious.

Chewy and delicious hand-pulled noodles! You can watch them being pulled while you wait. Their Lamb is also amazing in general, and they are generous with portions of meat. My only criticism is that their service isn't great. The Spicy Lanzhou Beef Noodles and Braised Beef Noodles both had rich and flavorful broths. Their Spicy Braised Lamb is delicious! Whatever mix of spices and seasonings they use is perfect. The Crispy Lamb Leg was also great. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It was also seasoned very well. On the other hand, the Spice Oil Spill noodle was lacking in flavor in comparison and wasn't really spicy at all.

The marinated cucumber appetizer was great. The sauce that they soak the cucumber in tasted really good. It's hard to describe. Careful it is also spicy too the more you eat it. Scallion pancakes were good too. The Spicy Lanzhou Beef Noodles is like a chinese version of pho. Tasted good. The Noodles with Lamb and Vegetable wasn't what I expected. It was more of a dry noodle with sauce rather than a soup noodle like it was categorized as. There wasn't much for vegetables either--no greens, but there's potato, onions, and I think mushroom shell? The sauce has a distinct lamb taste. It's not bad but I personally wouldn't order it again. You also choose the thickness of your noodles. There is someone that hand-pulls the noodles in the kitchen that you can sometimes see if he's in view.

We were greeted the moment we walked in, and they found us a table. We were able to see the noodles being hand pulled. There are different options for noodles, we went with thick (most popular). They recommended the lamb rib, which was good but not worth the price in my opinion. I did enjoy the Lanzhou noodle soup. The broth was perfect - not too salty, not too spicy, and flavorful at the same time. The curry noodle soup was not as good; the curry flavor was subtle.

Dun Huang (DH for short) is a chain that’s present in Los Angeles, The Bay Area and New York and has recently expanded to North Texas. DH serve authentic Northwestern Chinese Food. All their noodle dishes are served with fresh hand pulled noodles. You can actually watch them as they put on a show in the kitchen. They can make noodles from angel hair thin strands to some as wide as belts. Everything we got was really good and we especially liked the Spicy Braised Lamb (香辣黄焖羊) as the Lamb was really tender and tasty. It was honestly some of the best lamb we’ve had in a long while. The menu seems a little truncated compared to other locations so I hope they keep adding to it, but this place has a potential to stand out to among stiff competition. This place is also Halal friendly for those who observe!

Definitely worth a try. Food was good. We ordered crispy lamb ribs, fried noodle (chicken), and lanzhou beef noodles which came as soup noodles. Really liked the lamb ribs and fried noodles both were tasty. Noodles are homemade. Service was great both waiters were very friendly and actually recommended couple of items since it was our first time here. Definitely worth a try.

Delicious food and you can watch the noodles being made. Restaurant could promote viewing and attract a much larger and more diverse customer base. Seating is tight and you have to ask if you need utensils other than chopsticks. But food is great. Excellent halal restaurant for everyone whether dining alone , couples, family, or group.

My rating to DH Noodles & Grill 敦煌兰州牛肉面 based on my experience. 10/10 we asked them if it halal and the waiter confirmed it All their noodle dishes are served with fresh hand pulled noodles. You can actually watch them as they put on a show in the kitchen. They can make noodles from angel hair thin strands to some wide one. we choose the regular Everything include Scallion Pancakes, Noodle with sauce ( CUMIN and Chicken) , Fried Noodle with chicken. All was really good. we have been told that beef can be chewy so i did wanna risk it but other people might have different opinion. I would honestly come again to try some of the soup noddle with lamb and Chinese burger . very very small place, big portions, excellent services and amazing prices nothing in the menu is more that 14 dollars !!!!! this place has a potential to stand out to among stiff competition.><

Pretty authentic Lanzhou style restaurant! They offer a lot of classics including the handpulled noodles and the lamb ribs. Always great to have more handpulled noodles restaurants around. Flavor was pretty good but the noodles seem to be consistently soft and overcooked everytime we come. It kind of loses the charm of the chewiness of the noodles when they get a little soggy. Outside of that, the mutton on the bone was really tasty and not something you find in places in the US.

Stopped by DH Noodles in Plano after seeing some buzz online and wanted to give it a try. The presentation is definitely on point from the stylish bowls to the visually appealing dishes, everything looked great. The signature Lanzhou beef noodles had a rich broth and decent portion size, and the hand-pulled noodles had a nice bite. That said, the flavor didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The broth was a bit on the salty side and lacked depth compared to other Lanzhou noodle spots I’ve tried. I was also expecting a bolder kick even with a generous spoonful of their chili oil, the spice level was pretty mild. If you’re looking for that numbing heat or a real punch of flavor, this might fall a little short. I also tried one of their cold appetizers shredded chicken with chili oil and cilantro, and while it looked promising, the texture and flavor were just okay, nothing too memorable. Service was polite but not particularly attentive. It wasn’t too busy when I visited, but it still took a while to get refills or follow-up on small requests. Overall, DH Noodles has a cool vibe and potential, but the food was more style than substance. I’d come back if I was in the area, but it wouldn’t be my first choice for hand-pulled noodles in Plano.

August 2025 Good noodle but unfriendly and terrible service. I was hesitant to come in since it was late. Unfortunately, I was hungry and as a restaurant owner myself I know I need to be considerate. The server told me as soon as I was seated and informed me the kitchen will close in 20 mins. I haven’t even looked at the menu and he expected me to place my order. While I reviewed the menu, he started to place the chairs on top of the dinning tables around me. That’s the strong indicator that he wanted to close the restaurant. I enjoyed the noodle soup but the service was truly awful. Honestly, I don’t think they are reviewing this comment because the owner was not present when I asked to speak to him/her. I finished my meal right before they closed. I understand must be a long day for them. Highly not recommended. So sad this kind of serving attitude was represented. 👎👎👎
