We visited Shahzad Restaurant and tried their buffet. The food was served buffet-style with a good variety of classic Persian dishes. While the quality wasn’t exceptional, it was quite decent for the price, making it a good value overall.

My family and I have been eating at the restaurant for so many years. My Mom who owned a High End Persian Catering company In Florida commented how fresh their food and she was extremely particular when it came to buffets. Everyone at the buffet is always so welcoming and the remodel has made the interior look so luxe, clean and beautiful! I’ve introduced SO many friends and clients to yhis restaurant as well as the grocery store. I could give one little feedback… the grocery store employees including the cashiers aren’t very friendly, my friends who I have sent have commented the same thing. As buisness owners ourselves, we take pride on how we treat our clients and appreciate them. I don’t feel this way at the grocery store and have shopped there for years. With that said, we love Sharzad and will consider to be loyal customers.

Food was good but limited food choices, very limited dessert otherwise you have to purchase, tea/ coffee not included and the surprising part was they include gratuity charges which is a lot and we were not aware of.

They offer a buffet. I ordered off the menu. The waiter spoke Pharsi. All of my apps were taken from the buffet, the sangak was cold, I have had from a street bakery in Teheran, this was NOT that. The koobideh was perfect. I am one few white boys who has been there (Iran), this was passable.

Restaurant vs. Market – Two Very Different Experiences 🍗🍖Restaurant: Don’t expect fancy décor, but the food quality is good. The flavors and aroma are very authentic and truly taste like Iranian food. If you’re shopping nearby, I recommend stopping by the restaurant for a meal. 🧛‍♂️🍮Market: Shopping here can be disappointing. Many non-U.S. products (from countries like Lebanon, Iran, etc.) do not have price tags. You have to ask the cashier or owner for the price, and it feels like the price is decided on the spot, which is not fair or transparent. We also had a poor experience when asking about olive oil sold in bulk. The oil was exposed to sunlight and was no longer fully liquid. The owner insisted it was high quality because of the solid residue at the bottom, but we were not comfortable purchasing it. 🥖🍞Bread: The Sangak bread is excellent and highly recommended. However, I do not recommend the Barbari bread.

Persian food and some sweets. Not too many options tho. We were 2 people and got a pot of tea with the buffet for 50$. I guess you get what you paid for. They ask people to wear gloves but the owner and everyone one who works there don’t put them on even after touching other stuff, one of the serves even wiped the hummus spoon with her bare hand and didn’t wash her hands. I over all decent food and good service. The store has a lot of Mediterranean ingredients. They have really good fresh baked bread.

They never bother disposing of expired products. I got food poisoning after buying sausages from them and had to go to the ER. Even their cream puffs are sour and not fresh. They are extremely greedy and are willing to sell spoiled food to customers instead of throwing it away.

Very disappointing experience. Beyond the poor customer service and unprofessional management, the overall atmosphere felt tense and uncomfortable. The space did not feel neutral or welcoming, especially for customers who are sensitive to the current situation in Iran and what many people are going through right now. A place of business should feel respectful, safe, and inclusive for everyone, regardless of personal or political views. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. I would not recommend this store and suggest choosing places that focus on professionalism, respect, and a truly welcoming environment.

Strongly NOT Recommended The management at this restaurant is extremely rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. Instead of addressing customer concerns, they respond with hostility and intimidation. The food quality is very poor. The meals are clearly not fresh, seem reheated multiple times, and actually made us sick. This is unacceptable and concerning from a food safety perspective. Prices are unreasonably high and absolutely do not match the quality. You are paying premium prices for low-quality, unsafe food. Additionally, the grocery items sold here are overpriced and often expired. In some cases, it appears that new dates have been placed over old expiration labels, which is extremely alarming and unethical. They regularly delete comments and block people on all social media platforms to silence criticism. I am glad that at least on Google, customers can finally share honest experiences. This is not just my opinion many people report the same issues, including poor hygiene and cleanliness.

I thought I would give this place another try since it had been a couple of years. I came with my daughter today and now I can see how these poor reviews are absolutely spot on. The manager was nice, but every waiter ignored us and we were 2 of about 6 people there for a late lunch. No smiles, no attentiveness, absolutely zero service. I’m Iranian so I know what good Persian food tastes like and this was not it. The beef kebab was fresh but had the weirdest aftertaste because there was the most odd seasoning in it. The gormeh sabzi was mediocre at best. The food wasn’t good enough for the price and I’m kicking myself for even giving the 20% tip I gave to such undeserving staff. Then my daughter and I went to the market next door. It does have a weird smell in there like another reviewer mentioned. And the woman that we had to seek out to help us looked like we were putting her out. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone scowl while helping a customer like she did to us. The desserts are MAJORLY overpriced and just not good. I really regret wasting my money here. Take your business where it is more appreciated.

The Buffett quality of the food is not so good, wanted to order from menu but they did not offer that Saturday for lunch. The market prices are super high, a few items cost $51.00. The workers are rude as well, it is like the public is keeping in business, you should be thankful. Not rude and arrogant and ignorant people. Eastern mentality.
