Oh yeah dawg. Did you ever grow up in NY and was always served these sonic ads and you wondered to yourself, where the heck is this magical place? And then you’re over 40 and one happens to finally open a mile and a half away from your now adult house? It’s not a dine-in establishment as there are only 4 seats and a ledge. It’s mostly take out and drive-thru. I gotta say, dawg- that their double smashers are quite great. I love smash burgers and these guys have it nailed down. Their dill pickle tots are the tots (if you know what I’m sayeeeeen) Fries with their dip was nice. Jalapeño poppers were good. The mozzarella can be a little softer, but it all goes in the tummy. As far as their shakes go, if you like to have a gassy good time, I say go get the cheesecake variety. If you have a partner, it’s a test of love. If they stick around with your creamy effervescent puffs, they’re a keeper. Check out sonic. Don’t miss out on this literal island of a restaurant.
First time getting such good service from a fast food chain. Azriel was about to hand me the soda then he said "wait, let me wipe it first" bc the soda was a little overfilled. Little gestures like that certainly made a customer satisfied and happy. Way to go Azriel!!
Great food was made nice and fresh. Sonic blast was a thick milkshake ( Don't forgetyour spoon). Enjoyed every bite.

My dreams have come true. I’ve always wanted sonic to come to New York. Oh my God I grew up with them in school in Grenada, Mississippi. I used to get a drink every day pretty much.
When he first handed me that fat wad of napkins I thought, why would I need these for a soft serve ice cream in a big plastic cup? Lo and behold, on my walk home I dropped some ice cream directly into my own shoe. This man understands the intersectionality of his product and his customer to a rare degree. Bravo, sir.
The place has a unique vision. The food meets the mark every time. This spot warrants recognition specifically for customer attention. The service was smooth and the environment was cool. This spot made me feel at home.
Absolute kings working the night shift. Ordered & had my food quickly and fresh. Friendly staff. Will be back again.

I go here almost every day, the smasher is the best burger out there. And all the menu items are solid, the options are endless. I’m so glad they brought Sonic to Brooklyn, now I don’t have to drive to Jersey every time I want a good burger and a milkshake with some fries or mozzarella sticks. And the deals on the app are better than most places, every time I check it there’s something new.
This was my first time eating food from Sonic and I was not disappointed. My friend said the fried chicken sandwich was just OK but my smash burger was so yummy! 😋 The Sonic Blast was really good especially on a hot day like this but that Picklerita Slush really the spot. I love the tangy, salty and sweet mix.
The drive-thru is very tight the staff was good but the Smashburger was awesome highly recommend

This place is great, my burger is perfect every time, but they have a problem with the sides. I don’t know if they’re frying everything in the same fryer or what, but I’ve ordered both the onion rings and the mozzarella sticks, on separate occasions, and they always taste like funnel cake. Other sonics don’t seem to have this problem but maybe I’m wrong. I think the pretzels contaminate whatever fryer pit they’re in and make everything have a sugar taste. The fries taste normal though!
Ordering is done via drive thru or walk up. There is no seating. I have been here twice for dessert options and onion rings/fries. Unfortunately, the don't have the happy hour price options. I asked and was told they are new and still trying to make money.

Sonic on Empire Boulevard is what happens when sodium and saturated fat team up for a full-contact flavor extravaganza. Perfectly positioned next to Prospect Park, it’s a convenient stop whether you’re actually working out or just dressed like you might. The service is suspiciously quick and unusually kind. It’s the sort of friendliness that suggests they’ve seen some things—possibly burger-induced meltdowns—and are prepared to help you through it. The seating area is cozy in the same way airline bathrooms are cozy. Sharing space becomes an exercise in diplomacy. Now the food. The Chili Cheese Groovy Fries are hot, salty, and alarmingly delicious. They may have been engineered by scientists who wanted to find out just how much cheese a potato can legally carry. The Big Dill Double SONIC Smasher with bacon is a structural marvel. It’s not so much a burger as it is a commitment. Somewhere inside the chaos, a lone pickle fights for attention with the dignity of someone who showed up to the wrong party in a tuxedo. The strawberry shake is not a drink. It’s a frosty beast served in a cup, thick enough to qualify as a gym workout. If you manage to get through it with a straw, you deserve a medal. I used a spoon and still felt like I earned points. There’s a compelling theory that Sonic is quietly partnered with local hospitals. Whether or not that’s true, the menu reads like a dare, and I absolutely took the bait.
We had a hot fudge sundae it was just fine. Cool mural tho

UPDATE: count your days… Tried again and they were even smaller and half tortilla. Different quality when you go. $20 for these tiny misshapen breakfast burritos. All different sized and half filled. You were warned.

Ordered Sonic for the 1st time ever and dont think I will ever again. My pretzel bun smashed burger was pretty but very greasy. So much so I didn't eat half the bun. My fries had cheese which I didn't order. It was ok but it was very clustered together. The soft pretzel was good as is. The shake was good despite being somewhat melty. That was the best part of my meal.
The worst of worst I ordered on uber eats TWO SMASHER CHEESEBURGER NO PICKLES NO SMASH SAUCE waste of time saying that the food came They still put the pickles and the smash sauce calling the restaurant like 30 times no response and to finish it off the drink came with no Ice NEVER AGAIN I HAVE INTEREST IN ORDERING FROM HERE an one more thing the BEEF PATTY WAS NOT EVEN COOKED BY LOOKING AT IT IM SEEING PINK I THREW THE WHOLE MEAL IN THE TRASH

This restaurant only has decent reviews because they give out free drinks to those who leave a five star review. Don't be tricked. This is a one star establishment. My burger was disgusting and my drink was not even filled all the way. The manager was nice but the rest of the employees looked like they didn't know what they were doing or didn't even care. I'll take my $$$ elsewhere.
I ordered 2 Philly cheese steaks and the genius put both sandwiches in the bag standing up .. not only that he didn't pay attention to anything we told him bc he was busy on his ph9ne chilling and talking to some female. Service is horrible.. I definitely have picture of this guy on his phone instead of doing customer service and actually taking my prder
At this point I'm done with sonic and their employees who don't know anything and pretend they're a manager when they're wrong. I come here all the time for their slushy, and sometimes it's always something wrong but it's two people at this location who know the specials and happy hour. I went to get a slushy today on happy hour which is 1-4pm. I ordered my drink and I tapped my phone and the guy behind the register told me it declined, mind you he isn't in front of the register but by the drive thru window arms folded. So I looked at him confused like huh? That's impossible I have $4 on my cash app card. I look at the machine it's saying it took the money and I owe 6p cent. So I asked him why are you charging me full price when it's happy hour right now. He said that's only on the app and the store doesn't do happy hour. What I can't stand is a person who lie in your face knowing their wrong or don't know what they are talking about. Like why are you trying to get a extra $3 from me. I asked to speak to the manager and this man told me "I am the manager like I don't know who the manager is and what color shirt a manager wear. I just asked for my money back and Im done with Sonic. This place haven't hit a year yet and they have workers who act like they don't care about anything but want to treat you like you're being difficult. If you're over charging me am I not supposed to say anything?
Door Dash orders routinely come with any ice cream items missing. THREE times this has happened to us. That’s a pattern. Get it together. Yes I requested a refund from door dash, but I wouldn’t have ordered the mediocre food if I didn’t want the ice cream. Food tastes old and stale. Nowhere near as good as real Midwestern Sonic! What a shame.
Just placed an order for two pretzel twist with cheese sauce and groovy fries received no sauce with my order, no answer at the restaurant.
