I've had many bad experiences here but it's not the Restaurant's fault. Food, drinks, and atmosphere are amazing. I won't be back but it's because of personal reasons. I highly recommend everyone else check this place out though.

I came here with a large group for happy hour on a Friday. It was a great time. The servers were all friendly and attentive. Even though they allow smoking inside, it's barely noticeable. There are AC ducts everywhere pushing fresh air into the bar.

All employees I've met have given exquisite food and service. There is even a somewhat private NON-SMOKING room in the back where you can enjoy a little privacy or a good meal. Pizza and wings are my favorite! Fast service and prices are affordable! They offer a service industry discount for those in the service industry because they care! Karaoke is 3 nights a week and they even give out cash prizes that ranges from $100-800 (from what I've seen) if you sing a song from an artist. The DJ Walter is very fun and keeps the party alive as well as the bartenders and servers. The patio is HUGE and I've watched Kaboom Town fireworks from it! Hands down my favorite bar/restaurant in Addison! Games available are pool, slots, darts, and a few others. Check it out for yourself!

Come in for a good drink, stay for a better time. This place is it. Honestly, this place is great for anyone ages 21-61. 62+ They do have bingo Monday night ;) Naturally, I'm being vecisious, the back 9 I an amazing bar with a grand array of food. Want Asian? They got dumplings (pit stickers) Italian? They got em by the slices just like Mama Domino used to make em (kidding but they got good pizza) Want American? Its TEXAS dang flabbit!

I am new to the area. I just got a job close by. I was on my lunch break and not sure what or where to go. The banner outside had a great impact. Lunch special!!!! I am very happy to have found this place ! Pool tables, darts, ... a really cool sports bar! The food was great and affordable enough to make it a routine place ! I'm not computer savvy but I'm getting better at it. The wifi connection is password protected. You will laugh when you hear the password! I am using the on line menu to order before I go to lunch and I have a few more minutes to relax before I have to go back to work. I am very excited about this place.

I had the Philly cheesesteak, which was wonderful. Meat was cooked perfectly not dry at all the onions were well sauteed. Of course the drinks are drinks. But the staff is just fantastic from the bartender all the way to the waitress just amazingly good service

Great, chill place with pool tables, fairly-priced drinks, and good regulars. I usually go in and bring some friends on nights when Rayne’s working because she’s great and it’s hard to find a good bartender in Addison, but the bar and crowd are chill enough that I’ll make a trip in occasionally otherwise.

We were in town for a business trip as a large group of roughly 20 people visited the Back 9 over a 3 day period. The staff was very friendly, the karaoke was fun, and the atmosphere was enjoyable! We appreciate the Hospitality we received during our visits!

I love it here! My friends and I hang out here regularly. The food is really good. The drinks are reasonably priced. The music is great. This is by far my favorite bar! The staff, Lucky, Shari, Heather and Jordan are all awesome and attentive. The owner, Sean is super sweet. Go! You won't regret it!

I came here tired and hungry and thirsty. I sat at the bar and I was served by Courtney and Becca. Incredibly fast service in fact before my beer could empty they already had a replacement. I got a fantastic menu recommendation which was grilled chicken wrap spicy and it was delicious. These girls really are two of the best bartenders I've ever seen and I've seen a lot. They actually love their job. I've been to this bar before and I'm so glad I came back. Staff like this are worth their weight in gold!

My partner and I went here and the place was beyond loud but had a great atmosphere. The smoke was thick in the past for cigarettes and whatever else you can smoke in there. They have karaoke and a DJ. Drinks are served pretty fast. I ordered the Bacon wrapped jalapeños and fried pickles. My partner order a burger. My food was good overall and even took some home and it was still tasty. My partner’s food being a burger wasn’t all that great for leftovers. But they said that it was quite fresh and had a great taste to it. Definitely would go back to join in on the karaoke and drinks.

This place has EXCELLENT customer service. Friendly and attentive bar tenders. The loaded fries are SO GOOD. Good mixed crowd with mixture of music. They are always showing the games and fights. They do allow smoking but it is very well ventilated. Drinks are priced well too.

Was pretty empty by the time that I got there which was around lunch time. Received the best service from a very nice waitress that kept our glasses full and made sure we were all good. Their burger was cooked outstandingly well (just the right amount), where it wasn't to dry but also still not raw. The price per quantity of food you get is actually not all that bad. The look of this place is very well created (on the inside), and the music choice was fantastic, did not have one complaint about that at all. Will definitely recommend this place to all.

Was there for the first time for a team building happy hour. Service was wonderful, food was good. Drinks were tasty. Got some cool video games and pinball. Neat place!!

Great time at the bar with food and drinks. You are allowed to vape and smoke in the building. When I realized that, I was taken back to the late 90's before they banned smoking in restaurants. The bartender was top-notch, and I never had a glass that was less than half full.

This place is such a chill place to hang out. The bartender Rayne is great she introduces herself to as many people as she can and makes sure that everyone is taken care of. Even when the place is busy she always has a smile on her face.

Thank you so very much for such an amazing time! First of all, service was amazing. If I didn't have a drink, or we needed a refill, someone was checking and making sure we were on par. To be fair, my friends are regulars. This in mind, establishments tend to let some regulars wait. This was Not the case here. You guys made our vacation awesome. I had a Philly and my partner had an amazing pepperoni pizza. Awesome food, KAREOKE, great service. Whether you are a local or a vacationer, like us, make sure to stop in have a cocktail and some snacks.

We are definitely regulars there. The crowd is always a bunch of nice folks, fun games to play and it would be nice if they fix the lights in the back room so that we can see the dart boards a little better! But aside from that, they let us drink and have a good time. Even we get a little loud or a little wild always fun.

I've only been to this bar a handful of times, and last night was my first night back in there since they re-did the whole thing. It is very nice! They have a nice bar, plenty of seating, clean bathrooms and BOOZE. What more could a guy ask for? And they're open til 2 am on a Tuesday night, win/win/win Go check this place out, it's a destination for weeknight shenanigans to be certain!

Dave, the new owner has done great with the place. It's a good spot for social professional meetings, lots of TVs, 2 pool tables, a great food selection and nice leather drink menus. The bartenders dress very well and are friendly. I'm definitely telling all my friends about this place.

Duhhhh...this place is a hidden GEM for late night pizza, food, and adult beverages + good music. Regardless of the day of the week. Obviously weekdays wont be as packed as weekends. However, if you are stuck around town.....go for the pizza FIRSTLY and have fun in a great atmosphere. NORM the owner is old school cool...ask or attempt to find him; what a genuine human!!!

The waiter (I forget his name but he was new there he said... only been there 2 weeks) was super attentive and the food was great and so were my drinks! Would recommend this place but... if you are a non smoker or if cigarettes bother you... might be a bit of a problem for you as it is a smoking bar! I used to so didn't bother me at all. But lots of air flow too so hopefully you'll be ok! We are definitely going back to try the wings next time! The pizza was awesome!

Having an amazing time at the Back 9 sports bar and grill! There's this fantastic burlesque bingo show going on and I effing won the first round! Hell I was just getting away for a minute, they've made my day with this great show! Drinks are good, excelent price, they've got a couple of ciders I've fallen in love with, and the bartenders Alexis and John are on point! Great time!

Great pizza and very friendly bartenders. Unfortunately people are allowed to smoke so while I was trying to enjoy a meal and the karaoke contest going on I was choking. (No hate on them if that's how they want to run their business, just wasn't aware that was a thing still)

The pizza was recommended by the bartender and he was spot on. It was great! The only reason I lowered the rating was because it was smoking and I didn't realize that. Other than that, this place was fun.

Music bingo was fun. Table ice hockey was really cool. Drinks were good quality. Lively friendly people. The only thing I didn't like was that it smelled of smoke.

Update: tonight was a miss, not the same vibe as last time and prices were up as weve seen around town. Food is still good. Will likely come back. Turns out going on a Monday night they have a Bingo night. You have to guess the song artist and you get a gift card. It was really fun! They have some arcade games, a pool table, and people also play poker. I prefer sitting outside on the patio, it is a lot quieter. If you don't like loud bars going inside wouldn't be for you. The waitress did take a bit to serve us. We got the cheese fries and they were good.

I went last night, a single female, to meet a friend who canceled last minute, but I'd already ordered my beer so I decided to finish it at the bar. I was greeted after several minutes by a bartender or manager, don't know which because neither was in uniform. The bar was attractive, which lead me to believe I'd receive better service, but I was mistaken. The service wan't bad, but it definitely wasn't good either. I'm definitely a harsh critic when it comes to customer service, having made a career out of customer service management. I expect a warm greeting within a minute of sitting down, a beverage napkin placed in front of me and for my bartender or server to tell me their name and also to offer me a menu after serving me my drink. Why is this so difficult? Within minutes of me sitting down I was harassed by a male customer who literally asked me for money to fill in for what he was short on his check. Obviously I told him where he could go, but the "bartenders" did nothing, even though at least one of them noticed the interaction. I shrugged that off and began talking to the guy next to me, who eventually I played a game of darts with (bar only had 2 darts to use). After we were done playing, I sat down to finish my beer and was oddly hit on by a couple (man and woman) who began to hug me and tell me how beautiful I was. OK, so that part had nothing to do with the bar itself, but I thought I'd throw that in there for good measure. I left immediately after that. Anyway, I'll definitely give this place another chance because it had a good vibe, unlike that dump McFadden's, next door. ***Went in again last night and it was night/day from the first night. It was lively, fun, and the bartenders were totally on-point and friendly. They were super fast and their customer service was amazing. I'd give this place 5 stars this time, but I'm probably not their demographic. The music is a bit loud for me, although the DJ was good and the energy was infectious. My only complaint is that you can't play darts when it's busy because the game is blocked by tables. Anyway, I had fun and you should too.

Lot of bar games and the decor is pretty cozy. The wait staff is hit or miss as far as service goes, although the staff as a whole was very attractive. The girl I had was friendly and attentive but my buddy's girl was really stiff and seemed annoyed whenever he wanted to order anything.

Nice, clean place to grab a bite and a drink. I ordered the Kaliforniacation, and it was a good burger. It was a little too greasy, and the fries were over-seasoned, but it was a good meal. The draft beer that I ordered was nice and cold as well, enhancing my experience. I'll be back!

Went to Back 9 when I was in a conference at the local Hilton and needed a place for lunch. At first I didn't think it was open because we didn't see more than one or two cars around. Once inside our group of about 10 people were seated quickly. Decor was the basic sports bar type. It looks like they have live music in the evenings, but we didnt stay for that. I had the basic Hamburger for lunch. Good flavor and filling. All in all a pretty good food for lunch.

Only stopped for a few drinks. Not really my style, but it's a big place with tables to play on, a DJ and some electronic games. It has a big selection and multiple bar tenders who are quick. Giving it four stars because I think a lot of people might enjoy this environment. Nothing I found particularly wrong.. just didn't enjoy the atmosphere and vibe I guess.

This is a nice place to hang out at. There are some pool tables if you want to show your playing skills. The customer service is great. It’s got a bluish lighting, which differentiates it from the other bars in town. From the taps you will find international, domestic and even Texas local draft beers.

Pretty impressed with this place. Very good bartenders, and the pizza was phenomenal!! Kind of reminds me of a sports bar, club, pizzeria, and the 80's all wrapped in one. I would recommend anyone to come to this place. And, I'm from Houston. They put the Stros game on for me!!! Cannot complain one bit!!! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it's in Dallas. I go during lunch. Usually not busy. I have my usual drink or two and pair it with either southwestern egg rolls on the philly cheese steak sandwich.

Came here after our dance rehearsal and let's just start with the pizza. AMAZING! Fresh ingredients and the crust was even delicious. Drinks are ok. I would have given 5 stars if the waitress was a bit more there. Her attitude was great, just was hardly there when we needed her, and the place was empty. Food was great, environment was decent for a late night grab. Will be back for sure for that pizza. Way to go guys!

I went there on Fat Tuesday and had 2 lbs of crawfish. Let me tell you, the BEST crawfish I have ever had! It was seasoned perfectly and spicy just the way I like it! I plan to go back before crawfish season is over.

The server was working so hard, she was very nice and kind the food was good, but over price for some items. The drinks could of been a little stronger, maybe it was the choice of tequila! It is a bar so there was plenty of smoke, but not overbearing like some places. We were able to sit in a smoke free area and that was a bonus.

This is one of my favorite pizza in Addison. The service is a little slow and when the place is busy can be a smokey because you can still smoke in this bar. There are plenty of TVs to watch games on and there are pool tables and darts.

This was my 1st visit. Wasn't very many people there on a Tuesday night. They have a few gaming machines and 2 pool tables for entertainment. They allow smoking inside so I didn't stay long. Was told they have karaoke on Thursdays and Sundays

I have been here before. The place is getting a little run down. The restrooms needed attention and a very good cleaning. The drinks were affordable but I didn't taste any liquor in them. So I guess I paid too much for soda. Service was good though. We sat at the bar.

I’ve been to this place a couple of times now. It never seems to be overly busy like some of the other places in the area, but that’s not a bad thing. Service is quick and accurate. Drinks are good and prices are decent. Employees are friendly. Lots of TVs to see a variety of sports if that’s your thing. They have a couple of billiard tables if you want to shoot around and some other bar based games there like a golden tee and bar top games if that’s your thing. I normally just stay in the bar, but they seem to have an outside area that looks decent during the warmer months. So why a 3 star rating? Apparently you can smoke inside of here. The first time I visited I thought someone was just doing it because it was so slow that no one would even care or notice, but it’s definitely friendly to smokers inside and that’s a huge turnoff. Not everyone wants to smell like an ashtray when they leave. The idea they’re allowing it during covid is even worse and I don’t know why that’s not obvious. I’d stop in here more often if they’d make you smoke outside honestly.

This is a place where people drink, smoke, shoot pool, and drink and smoke some more. It's not a great place for a to-go order even if convenient from our hotel. So it's mostly my fault for picking the wrong venue, but the order took twice as long as advised despite the joint not getting super busy until we finally left, and furthermore all the good bits (bacon, avocado) were missing. I never know how much to tip on to-go and had started to feel guilty about not leaving nearly enough. In the end I think the exchange was equitable.

This place has turned into a ghost town. Little pricy for being so dead. If you don't order any food then they charge you for chips and salsa without asking. No smoking till 2pm so don't expect to smoke in the air conditioning during your lunch break. I didn't order any food because I question the freshness of the food. Don't want to eat old food and get sick.

I've been going to this place for years but I think I've went for the last time. Firstly the day manager Jose is great, the food is good and well priced.The drinks are a bit pricey but there is happy hour. The waiter Tony though has horrible customer service!!! I mean since day one too but he recently showed me that me and my friends where not welcomed when we came in Friday night and he knows I'm a regular! Was flat out rude. You guys should put more money into your restrooms too us ladies can respect a clean place to pee. 💙

7/30/22: We stopped by for a drink because we figured they wouldn't be crowded, since they were not showing the UFC fight. Walked inside and immediately was greeted by the smell of smoke. We saw the ashtrays on the tables and realized that it's a smoking bar. We are non smokers, and do not like to have our hair and clothes smelling like smoke. We could tell that the ventilation system couldn't overcome the smokiness. We walked out without ordering anything and went to a non smoking bar nearby. This is probably a nice bar for smokers, but non smokers beware!

The cook is a complete @$$! She'll cook what she wants and not what the menu states your meal comes with. It's sad that they tolerate her and let her control the food that way. I understand the struggle to find cooks but to submit to a person that way is horrible. We've always loved the food here but now I eat what the cook decides to make.

If I can give them 0 Stars I would only my 2ed time here and they refused me service because 1 ig my id is fake then they said my id said 04 and on the card it says 02 the lady who told me they can’t server me was a with lady and I thought she looked familiar and it turns out her man was the one hitting on me the 1st time I was there and now they are refusing me service out of pettiness

Stopped in to have lunch with my co-workers. We normally have a great lunch together with food and drinks, and with most or all of us having restaurant experience (two former G.M's included), we like to tip 50% or more and reward good service. Food was ok, but the foul mood of the girl that was tending bar ruined the whole experience. We all became sorry that we asked how her day was going. She told us about her bad morning, and continued by complaining about her fellow staff. We tried to cheer her up and be positive and tell her the day would get better. she responded by snapping our heads off about not drinking more iced tea or another beer because she was trying to save herself some steps and she didn't want to walk all the way back to the tea dispenser. Not going back.

This was the worst bar experience I have ever had. Upon seating I was rudely asked what I wanted. Thereafter, I was give a cup of water with a strand of hair inside of it. I politely asked for another glass, and with no apology, the waitress grabbed the glass, brought back another to which I replied thank you, and again I was given no response. That was the last time she came to our table, we were not acknowledged for another thirty minutes after multiple attempts to get her attention. We never got a chance to order any food. The drinks were watered down and tasteless. I am appalled at the level of service and will never come back. So much for trying a new place. It seems that patrons of a certain ethnicity are preferred. Do not recommend.

I spent 3 great nights there this week. Then, tonight there was a different and very rude bar tender there. I had planned on dinner and a few drinks there tonight. She was so rude, disrespectful and unprofessional that I paid for my one drink, and left quickly. The management should really check their staff personalities. I will NOT enjoy this venue as long as I see the same bartender there.

So I won’t be coming here again. Ordered a large pizza to go on a weekday at noon and after 45 minutes of waiting they tell me the oven doesn’t work. They kept telling me 5 more minutes until they finally came back to say they could only do a small and it would be another 15 minute wait. Pretty disappointing

I live in the Midwest 5 stats away from TX. theback9addison team sent me a spam E-mail on Christmas morning saying that there food (Piazza and burgers) is perfect for Christmas. Who pay to spam people across the country for service don't provide? - ON Christmas of all day? - Not nice people.

I use to love this place. Service here is terrible. You will wait a very long time for a drink as the bartenders are scrolling on their phone then have an attitude when you want a drink. There's only 2 bartenders here that I like if the others are there I leave. And it's the gentleman behind the bar and rain. There is literally no rap/r&b music on the juke box. I've heard it's because of the owner doesn't like it and he is usually there on the slot machines. The pizza is pretty good though when it's on discount

This place needs new staff ASAP. I have been coming here for years. The staff now (7/3/24) is horrible. The blonde bartender is on something. There is a woman that is short and always wears her hair in a slicked back bun and I guess she is a waitress but spends all her time walking around and talking with her friends is horrible. If you are with a large group and sit at the tables be prepared not to get served by her. You have to walk up to the bar and order everything. All of theses bars and lounges keep closing because the service is horrible. I'm afraid this one maybe next because the service has gone down hill. The only saving grace is they still have decent bar food and pool tables.

Worst place ever, don't waste your time. This is a unfriendly place trying to masquerade as a sports bar. The staff was the worst I have encountered! Don't waste your time, find a real bar! I arrived at this bar about an hour ago and ordered chicken from one of the bartenders (a lady). I also asked if they had a drink called Jägermeister. She seemed confused, so I offered to show her the drink on my phone. To my surprise, she walked away and never returned. My food order was never delivered either. About 20 minutes later, I called another bartender (an older gentleman) and pointed to Absolut Vodka. He acted as though he was going to get it, but he never came back or attended to me. I am still sitting at the bar while writing this review, and no one has followed up on my orders. This level of service is extremely disappointing. Running a business this way will only drive customers away.

The fact that I can’t even review their food after two visits just shows how poor their service is. I have attempted to try this place out twice to give them a second chance, but the same issues as before led me and others to leave. I have NEVER received a single piece of food from this restaurant. On the first visit, it took over 30 minutes just to have an employee take our order for drinks. At the same time they took our drink orders, we placed the food order due to the wait. Figured it was busy, so we were patient. After ordering, about an hour and a half later, everyone decided to leave and just went home. No drinks (except water) were brought out, and no food was delivered to me and one other person, although they conveniently charged it first. Several months later, I’m invited back out by some friends to this location. I happened to be the first person to have my order taken. I ordered alcohol, had my card taken to start a tab. 20 minutes in, I received my drink, but my card was not returned. 15 minutes later I’m asked for food. At this point, we were deciding whether to stay, due to the wait, so I declined and just asked for my tab to be closed and get my card back along with a few others. We waited 18 minutes (timed) to receive our cards back…we immediately left after paying for what drinks were delivered. Convenient. They make $10-15 per person, whether you eat or not. I understand being short staffed, I understand being busy, but when a group plans out weeks (and even months) in advance, and you try to claim you weren’t prepared (twice), or had no idea we were coming, that’s a problem. This is hundreds of dollars, if not over a thousand dollars per night that is lost due to poor service and not being prepared. Having one waiter on a Friday night at a bar is just insane and there’s no reason for this. Having at least 15 people leave and go to another restaurant should be a sign that there’s a problem.

Food was okay. Basic bar food. Bartender was great. This thing that gets me is the credit card surcharge on top of the bill. The owner needs to pay for his own surcharges and not put it on the customer. It isn't posted anywhere: menu, wall , nowhere. I will not be coming back because of this and wouldn’t recommend this place bc of the owners.
