Opinions de Beit Rima Alameda
Best mediterranean food!! The food, appetizers, main dishes and dessert are fantastic and very delicious. There were seven of us for dinner on Saturday night, we had a reservation and we truly enjoyed the delicious foods. Their steak was so good, I forgot to take a photo.
On a rainy Sunday at 1pm, there were a few open tables so we could be immediately seated. You order at the front and then food came out pretty quickly. The dips sampler appetizer and their signature hand kneaded bread is nice quantity and very yummy. Definitely enjoyed this. The lamb shank is small though, but it was yummy. Enjoy!
Beit Rima is an absolute gem and we are officially obsessed. This is hands down our new neighborhood go to spot!! We ordered the Mezze Sampler, Baked Halloumi, and Musakhan, and every dish was incredible. The mezze sampler is generous, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Creamy hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, bright pickles, crisp falafel, and warm, fluffy pita that disappears fast. The baked halloumi was perfectly golden with that ideal salty bite, finished with herbs and olive oil that made it impossible to stop eating. The musakhan completely stole the show. Deeply savory, aromatic, and comforting, with tender chicken, caramelized onions, sumac, and pine nuts layered over perfectly baked bread. It is one of those dishes you keep thinking about long after the meal is over. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is thoughtful, and everything feels intentional and made with care. If you live nearby or are visiting the area, this place is a must. We will absolutely be back!!
Went to this place for dinner during my visit to SFO. The place got a decent vibe and atmosphere. I ordered their chicken, lamb shank and beef steak. The food was served at good temperature. Also the taste was good too. The chicken was really good. Hope they Keep up the service at this level.
Wow. The flavor burst in the mouth from the food at this restaurant is other-worldly. I highly recommend ordering their chicken dish on a pita, the one that they say is a common home dish; insanely delicious. Nice people inside too. Crazy busy on a Saturday night. They have indoor seating and an outdoor park let seating option too. Gotta go. You can even order food to go, which is what I did because the wait was so long. Yum. One of my top fave restaurants now in SF.
One thing about me is I’m always down for a platter. Loved the variety in the mezze sampler. Pay for the extra baked bread it’s soooo good. Fragrant and tender chicken, incredible rice. Fantastic halloumi, swam in this citrusy herby sauce. Potatoes were sooo crazy, teleferic patatas bravas but spicy and crispier. Dare I say better. Main qualm was the branzino… my favorite type of fish yet they messed it up 😢 very dry We were a party of 9 on Friday at 6pm and the staff were very accommodating, laboriously moving around tables. Very loud inside and nicely chaotic. Thank you for such a great dining experience!
It felt like I was eating at a family’s house. All the workers seem very close and tight, and a lot of the customers were talking with the workers like they all knew each other. Beit Rima felt like a small community. It felt really authentic. The hospitality was also great. The servers were caring and welcoming. They offered us free pita bread which was very kind. 10 out of 5 stars for service. The staff is incredible. The portions are big here, so I would recommend sharing dishes with your group. The humus is massive that you will have to ask for a lot of pita bread to finish it all. The shakshuka was great. It was piping hot and fresh so that’s all you can ask for. My favorite dish was the beef kabob plate. The beef was marinated very well and I wish I could’ve just had that all to myself. I recommend this dish overall. It gets crowded here, and you may have to sit at the bar. But sitting there is worth it because you can see the chefs do their thing and you get a quicker seat at one of the best restaurants in the area.
Came here and there was a wait for inside but a table on the parklet. The mezze sampler was delicious and beautiful. The delicate squash was cooked well and sweet. The lamb shank meat fell off easily. The beef kabob was moist. Palestinian couscous was good. Rice was cooked well. Enjoyed the Lebanese wine. Black tea was sweetened. I definitely recommend the additional bread.
Delicious food in the cutest (but small) spot. The flavors really hit and everything was very fresh. Chicken Shish plate is the one to get!!!! It's well seasoned and tender. loved the side of pickles rice and humus that it comes with. Also got the Beef Kabob plate, which was good but a little dry. Flavors were there and also a very large portion of food. Very authentic and cozy spot. I would recommend for a post work bite or date ;)
Beit Rima serves up 'Arabic Comfort Food'. It means Rima's house.” (The chef's mother's name is Rima). They've been in our bookmarks for a while, and when we needed to be in the neighborhood, we jump at it. Rated 4.5 on Yelp, 4.4 on Google. Fairly standard sit down Mediterranean with additions of higher end dishes like Branzino and Lamb Shank. Prices are a couple dollar more than our favorite spot, Hummus Mediterranean. Food was better than expected. Good quality and ample quantity makes this an easy recommendation. Beit Rima also has a location at 86 Carl St. We ate at the 'public' parklet outside. Safety Pluses - Online menu, Delivery services available, online ordering. Food Review: MEZZE SAMPLER ($23) lebna, muhammara, baba ganoush, hummus, pickles, two falafel is ample quantity for 3 or more people. All items are good with the muhammara really standing out. 8.510 BEEF KEBAB PLATE ($25) spiced kebabs, grilled tomatoes, tehina, mom’s rice, hummus, pita had several tender kebabs with good flavor. 3 big kebab rolls. Lots of nice rice. Didn't really need the hummus, pita with the sampler. 9/10 CHICKEN SHISH TAWOOK PLATE ($25) yogurt marinated chicken, charred onion/red pepper, toum, hummus, mom’s rice, pita was also a very good dish. Tender chicken spiced just right. 9/10 MUHALABIA ($6) floral milk pudding seasoned with orange blossom water, mastic topped with pistachio was just okay. Nothing special. 6/10 Overall - Very Good Food - Very Good Decor - Good Service - Good Value - Very Good Would we come back - Yes
I don't go out for Middle Eastern food very often, but recently I've been trying out more spots with friends and coworkers, and Beit Rima is right up there. They have a few locations in the city - for this visit we went to one on Church one since it's easy to get to by public transit. The space is cozy and popular, and it can get pretty loud when it's full (there was a waitlist and line out the door at some point while we were there). We had a two-top, but I appreciated that they also have long communal tables too. You're seated and given menus first, but you order at the counter, and food comes out pretty fast. We shared the mezze sampler and we each ordered the beef kebob plate. It was more than enough food, with leftovers to take home. We didn't stay for dessert this time, but I'd be happy to return to try the muhalabia as well as more of their savoury dishes.
Honestly one of my new favorite restaurants in San Francisco. Imagine a warm day in the Bay. Sunny, yet cool. Sipping on a tangy lemonade while the appetizers and food roll in the company of others. The food was amazing good. From the baked olives, lebneh, beef kabob and chicken. Amazing flavors and actually delicious. I can't wait to go back.
The food here is great! The chicken shish tawook plate is so good. Generally tender and the yogurt marinade. The fattoush was amazing with the charred dates. It was very filling and delicious. The inside decor is nice but it feels like a pickup spot now rather than a decent sit-down. I sat outside which was nice but the service was very slow. I never once got a refill on water in the hour I stayed. The waiter was frantically running around taking orders and not able to keep the same level of service to each client... Overall I'd visit again but wish their bare minimum service was better.
Total Score: 7.50 Bathroom: 2.5/5 Nice plant, but soap dispenser had a lot of excess soap buildup so kinda icky. So was the floor and the little bucket for paper towels Customer Service: 4/5 Frequently checked up on us, and super nice, butttt I was so thirstyyy cuz the cups were so small 😢😢 (she said) Ambiance: 4.25/5 A little bit scrappy but it’s a vibe. Very homey vibes and enjoyed the hanging line lights Food: 4.5/5 YUMMYY. The chicken I got was juicy and right amount of crispy. Rice, hummus, and pita bread also decent. Wow: 0/1 Normal restaurant Total Score = BR + CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW
Good dinner! Authentic Palestinian cuisine. As a Palestinian myself I enjoyed. The chicken tawook plate good and a very generous portion. Lamb shank was solid as well. Fig & cream dessert was unique and good. Docked a star because I was over charged and didn't realize it until after I left. It was only about $10 but still, wasn't too happy about that.
I don't know what the hype is about this place. It is lacking some traditional flavors. The famous chicken dish that everyone rants about is actually kind of boring.
Went as a group of three and shared a mezze sampler and the musakhan. The chicken was super tender and delicious but could have had a little more kick in spice and flavoring in my opinion. Sampler was amazing, would order again. Definitely a place to come to share a bunch of things not for solo dining!
Horrible experience with the staff, super arrogant and rude. They are highly mismanaged and chaotic, ordered for delivery, and the person on the phone was super unhelpful, rude and arrogant. Didn’t want to even acknowledge the order or give me any status. The delivery driver was also treated horribly, was not given any information whatsoever. The person waited at the restaurant for about 30 minutes, then reached out to us and canceled the pick up. The restaurant staff, had zero explanation, apology or even acknowledgment of the issue/order. Should not order from here, if they are so hostile towards the customers, I wonder what care or attention they have towards the food they provide. I wouldn’t trust this team to maintain high food quality, standards and customer service.
