Nickie's Bar and Restaurant

Very friendly staff and a popular spot. Has a lot of outdoor seating from the shared spaces that are great to sit in. A nice selection of beers on tap and a mix of pub food with the addition of some Yucatán food from another kitchen? I have never had a bad experience here.

Went in for brunch on a Sunday around 10:30, had no trouble getting a table. plenty of TVs for sports-watching, great atmosphere when it gets busy! Super friendly staff. Brunch menu, while limited, is fantastic -- everything was super tasty!

Great place to drink beer, eat bar food, and watch sports. Staff is friendly and bar tenders know how to mix drinks and good selection of beers. Food is fresh and tasty. And every where you turn your head there's a TV! Awesome place to grab a cold one with your friends.

I love this place. The bartenders are friendly, wonderful, and very attentive. Everyone knows each other and if you walk in and don't know someone, give it time, and everyone will know you. They have a great bar selection with a plethora of 0 alcohol beverages, 0 alcohol beer, 0 alcohol cider, and they even have herbal tea and coffee- it's a great bar to hang out at if you want to enjoy the bar atmosphere and not have a hangover the next day. I love the food; The veggie burger (black bean and beet) is wonderful, and the fries are great, the whole menu is amazing. I mostly eat the veggie burger (it's huge, sometimes me and my hubby will share it), the nachos, and the pretzel with honey. the folks there really care about the community and their patrons. Highly recommend checking this place out when you are in the Lower Haight and you won't want to leave.

Nickie's was great! We visited San Francisco for my birthday and it was close to our hotel and just what we needed... A fun bartender, cheap drinks, and great locals to chat with. No frills, didn't try the food, just there for the late night mellow dive.

These are cool people. We will be back. Onion rings and your ranch is the bomb, yo! Thanks Paulina.

We stumbled upon Nickie's from a Google search. It was nice to leave the bustle of the tourist bars. We felt welcomed even though "tourist" was written across our foreheads! Thanks for the locals welcome! Had some good beers and a yummy quesadilla!

Everyone seems to know each other's names, just like on Cheers. 😊 Large selection of food, including typical pub fare and at least one healthier option like salad. TVs are set to different sports channels, with the sound off and music playing in the background. If they're not playing the game you want, just ask them to change the channel and they're more than happy to oblige. Bar is a bit chilly so you may want a jacket if you'll be hanging out for a while watching a game. Dog friendly.

This is a good reliable place to go to casually watch a game. Sat at a table with a friend and his parents, but seemed easy enough to get rowdy by the bar if you wanted. Great craft beers on tap, and the food was pub food but good pub food. I'd go again.

This individual is fraudulent. Initially, he provided a bill for $54 but ultimately charged me $84. Furthermore, his response was unsatisfactory, as if he implied that he offers complimentary alcohol. I only became aware of this discrepancy when I noticed that on another occasion, he charged me $64 when the bill should have been $54.

The bartender seemed annoyed when we walked in that we wanted to order food, even though the kitchen was still open. We were not offered a table and sat at the bar. It took a long time for them to come out with the food, and it was not very good. My friends/boyfriend ordered burgers and they were mushy and wet and honestly just barely edible according to them. One of my friends only ate 2 bites of her burger and couldn't finish it. Then 30 minutes later my boyfriend got a very severe case of food poisoning that couldn't have come from any other food we ate that day, since we hadn't eaten in 7 hours. He was extremely sick for over 24 hours and it made the end of our trip a real bummer. :( It was likely a staph-type food poisoning because it happened literally 30 mins after we ate. Beware!!
