Old school liquor store mart and deli vibes. Some nice table and chairs in the front. I got the heated sandwich that has hot pastrami and Turkey. This sandwich was beyond what I was expecting. Melty, spicy, mushrooms and peppers…so good. Got it with a toasted sourdough bun. For a little under $10 you can’t find anything like this anymore. Will be back!
I googled where to find a good sandwich and Maitland Market Cafe and Deli was among the places that came up. First time getting a sandwich from here It is awesome! I got the 25 To Life hot roast beef and it was delicious!
I had to go over to Mayton Humpstumper's place to fix his wife's Wigglewhooper because she revved it up to high and burned out the thruster bearings! It's an easy fix as long as its been sanitized, and to make sure I called ahead and asked Mayton to put it through the decontamination chamber again! This gave me plenty of time to stop at the Maitland Market Café & Deli! The sandwiches there are Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
WAY ... good deli 🤠 The salad, the Heat, and the Billie Club are all awesome, I will definitely be coming back to try other sandwiches.
How can a sandwich this big and this good cost less than a fast food burger? The UPSnator- this will be a two meal sandwich.

Best place to get sandwiches in the bay, hands down. They get fresh bread everyday at the local Semifreddis bakery, I know this because I work close to the bakery and have seen people from the shop picking up bread. My favorite sandwich is the WyzeGuy. Built on a delicious sour dough roll with grilled chicken breasts, arugula, mozzarella cheese, jalapenos, and portabella mushrooms topped with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

The menu is impressively large with a variety of hot or cold sandwiches. There is a nice selection of sides too! Fast, friendly service every time. This place is an awesome neighborhood institution and I love treating myself there about once a week.
This is the second time I have come here during my Alameda route for Lunch. The smell and sizzle with the deli is a beautiful aroma of art . Both times I have come I simple ask the young woman behind the counter to pick me a sandwich for today , and she’s picked 2 completely different types of sandwiches and they have both been amazing! This is my official go to spot for lunch . Thank you!
Excellent sandwiches, fresh ingredients and a lot of options, even for vegetarians. They have a good selection of meats, cheeses, veggies and bread. Went there just a little before noon, no line, very quick and friendly service. Would definitely recommend!
Excellent delicatessen open during the weekdays. Fast and courteous service at all times. Some new things have been added 👍😊.... And for me and many other neighbors this is a very convenient market. Thank you Maitland Market and Deli..

This place used to be 5 stars when the sassy Brazilians worked there. This small deli uses the best bread, cheeses and deli meats. The Sandwiches can be spectacular if the right person is assembling them. The owner on the other hand can skimp on the good stuff which can lead to an occasional disappointment. Still a solid option and better than the nearby Safeway or Subway.
Deli sandwiches are GREAT. If you're going for lunch I suggest you call your order in to save time. It sometimes gets busy during lunch hours. While you wait for you sandwich you can grab a drink and snacks and pay on the market side of the Deli. The guys that are usually at the register are always nice. One is a bit quieter than the other but he is very nice. Good food and good vibes.
Great little sandwich shop. Wouldn't go out of my way for it, but it's a great spot to grab a quick sandwich during my work lunch break. Fresh bread, nice people, good size for the money. I'm definitely a regular.

Simple ingredients and delicious sandwiches created with care by the man that I normally see. Don't forget to order the side of Cajun fries. Love me the stool pigeon. I came back here recently and needed to change my rating. The quality has done down which is all I can say really all while the prices have gone up. I hope the picture of The Judge shows missing ingredients and not so fresh arugula. Unfortunately it just takes one bad experience with food, (which is so personal) to ruin my taste for a place.

The first time, I included a sandwich for someone else with my order, and I specifically mentioned over the phone that I didn't want a certain condiment on the sandwich. I saw on the handwritten sandwich order that the condiment was to be excluded, but whoever made the sandwich ignored instructions and used that condiment anyways. The second time I was here, I wanted a burger and fries, and they waited till after the burger was done before starting on the fries. I ended up waiting about half an hour, and they weren't even that busy.
