What a little gem of a restaurant. The owner and staff are really super friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious . We also liked the fact there is no menu, we went with the owner to look at his selection of wines bottles available - a nice touch. Highly recommend.

Super nice and big portion of veal tartar and fried mozzarella hereafter a lovely rabbit and a wonderful ratatouille -had only very little space for the delicious amaretto marinated peach with rich chocolate sauce. Absolutely recommendable and superb service.

Food is typical trattoria. We split a very good vitello tonnato. Starters were pretty good pasta dishes and second courses of rabbit and veal were good. Really good wine selections and the pricing is very reasonable. The wait staff is friendly, helpful, informative and unobtrusive. The place is a little noisy but tolerable.

Its my favourite restaurant in Alba. On my first visit I was the only customer.. for about 10 minutes and then suddenly it was full... with regulars. In this case you get to sit on long wooden benches at shared tables. Great food and a great atmosphere. The assistant chef specialised in desserts while at college... yum yum "can you translate this into English - I don't recognise the dish?"... that's because it is the chefs invention. Local colleagues say its a good place to go if you want good quality non complicated Piedmont food.

Posizione in centro città a ridosso dell'area pedonale, locale arredato in modo sobrio con legno e tavoli rustici. Antipasti e primi dai Prezzi tra gli 8 e 12 euro secondi qualcosa in più. Senza tovaglie ma tovaglietta in carta, tovaglioli in carta. Piatti di buon gusto presentati in modo adeguato. Tutto nella norma ma non mi ha lasciato emozioni particolari. Col medesimo servizio da trattoria in zona si può spendere meno o meglio allo stesso prezzo ci sono locali maggiormente affascinanti dal servizio più raffinato. Giudizio medio. Metti mi piace se hai gradito la recensione.

Nel complesso un posto carino, mi aspettavo dei piatti un po' più tipici della zona, invece erano delle proposte semplici ma buone nulla di speciale. Buone le porzioni e buono anche il servizio veloce, il rapporto qualità prezzo è nella norma. Insomma un locale con delle capacità che però non preme sull'acceleratore.

Mettano un po di fretta x fare 2 torni dicendo che è prenotato x dopo ma poi non è vero e levano i nomi sulle tavole🤷‍♀️ in più c’è scritto vi prego di ordinare 2 portate. Mai visto. La bagna cauda e la lingua davvero buona

Bel posto in centro ad Alba... Buon cibo in ambiente semplice ma carino... Il servizio non sempre al Top ma visto che in prevalenza viene effettuato da giovani che devono farsi le ossa ci puo' stare 😁...Abbiamo passato comunque una bella serata... consigliato....

Locale veramente grazioso! Allora, non mi ritengo una persona particolarmente pretenziosa, però qualche appunto purtroppo è d’obbligo: ho ordinato un antipasto che mi ispirava moltissimo, però non mi può arrivare un uovo completamente crudo invece che alla poché… più che altro un uovo del tutto crudo è proprio immangiabile. Inoltre, ci sono rimasta un po’ male per il fatto che letteralmente 5 secondi dopo l’ultima forchettata della mia portata principale mi è stato portato via il piatto (senza chiedere se avessi finito), quando mi sarebbe piaciuto mangiare il ragù avanzato Mi è dispiaciuto perché il primo è stato veramente buono, così come l’ambiente e il personale, molto caloroso e accogliente

Disappointing. Went to alba with friends to taste white truffle. I ended up being said that only black truffle was available, and it must be ordered in advance. Pity that I booked the table in advance but nobody was informing… the rest is our lunch: good but… uovo morbido al tartufo nero, tasty, but cheese fondue was covering the scratched truffle; tajarin con tartufo nero… well cooked, but once again tasteless truffles. A real pity because restaurant and its location were rally good, and staff very caring. Lesson learnt.

Just ordinary I am afraid. Gnocchi not as creamy, rich in cheese or wet as I had last night at another restaurant. Tiramisu just ordinary as well.

Purtroppo la verita' e' che appena arrivati chiediamo un tavolo x 6 e la signora ci dice che entro le 13,45 dobbiamo lasciare xche prenotato ( e questo capita spesso ovunque ) , poi ci dice che il pos non funziona e che accetta solo contanti (anche questo puo succedere ) arrivati al tavolo sul menu' si legge che e' molto gradito ordinare almeno due piatti (e questo e' la prima volta che mi succede in tanti anni ) , per finire al momento che mio figlio chiede del formaggio il giovane cameriere non puo' lascire il formaggio in tavola ma solo dare a cucchiaini la quantita richiesta (!?!?). Peccato xche quando ci siamo alzati e siamo rimasti fuori per un po' ci siamo resi conto che la prenotazione di dopo non era vera . Tutti lavoriamo per guadagnare ma quando ti senti trattato da idiota anche il miglior piatto ti va di traverso , specialmente se il prezzo e' sopra la media .

Posto piccolo e rumoroso. Servizio disordinato e poco attento e gentile, piatti molto limitati. Antipasti non buoni e primi abbondanti e accettabili. Secondo quasi inesistenti e tipico proprio piemontese: maialetto, ratatouille e pollo!!! Scelta dei vini veramente povera e, ciliegina sulla torta, la musica a tutto volume da uno smartphone alla piastra. Proprio da lasciare perdere.

Deludente. Il ristorante è bello. Ma è stato il peggior rapporto qualità-prezzo dei ristoranti che abbiamo provato nella regione. Inoltre, non siamo stati ricevuti in modo accogliente. Forse siamo stati sfortunati e non siamo arrivati al momento giusto se guardiamo gli altrii buoni commenti di altre persone.

Never ever I got cold eggs in my life, until I got there. Very rude and unfriendly service. I canceled half of my lunch because they couldn’t even bring bread on time. So cold eggs with truffle with two glasses of wine for 78€

Catastrophic staff, rude and unfriendly. We wanted to have a light lunch at 13.30 today. The restaurant was almost empty but the rude and unfriendly waitress told us that we need a reservation..... The place was empty inside and only two tables occupied outside and this towards the end of the lunchbreak..... We walked to a nice place nearby. Don't go there place

If one's customer orders 1x"alla vecchia maniera"(9€) and 1x"La Composta"(8€) to share between 5, one does not simply decide in the kitchen to double the portion of the "alla vecchia maniera" and triple the portion of the "La Composta" without consulting said customer. As the manager, it is unprofessional to approach the mix up by first blaming the waiter, then the kitchen staff, and finally the customer. It is unacceptable to change the quantity of orders without the customer's knowledge and to then argue with the customer over the number of slices of meat on the plate (according to the manager, it's 8€ for one slice of veal). We paid 24€ for a vegetable antipasti, 8€ more than the most expensive secondi piatti. This was unbelievable. To top off the shocking service, the roast pork that 2 of us ordered was dry and tasteless.

Bad service The food was ok. Nothing special. With this we can compromise but the service was very bad. Couldn't get the attention of the waitres and it took 20 minutes until we could have asked for water.

This place stinks and is a total fraud. They can't serve sensible vegetarian dishes, can't perform a decent menu and deceive you out of money. Don't go here, they have a total lack of service and customer focus and will surely make you disappointed!
