Jackson House made my birthday the ambience is so beautiful and the music was soft and uplifting. My server Cam and Manager Selena were amazing hosts. I would definitely recommend this and I will be returning.

Been here a couple times, never been disappointed. The manager and bartender have been extremely attentive! I sat down at a table for the first time tonight and absolutely no complaints! The duck fat fries have been a consistent favorite, as well as the korean bbq sliders. Great service, great food and glad to have Jackson House in Middletown.

Natalia Mercado-Huerta

The new Jackson house is fun, open spacious, and exactly the vibe needed! The bar is 3xs bigger with a lounge area ( couches) and an outside sitting area. Spirit choices gas expanded, and the menu is just as delicious! Their chef has a palette that mashes their food combinations that more amazing!

we went there with a group of 8 for dinner. The food was beautifully presented and tasted excellent! service was friendly and attentive. Prices are a bit higher than elsewhere but for sure worth it!

They were incredibly accommodating. Amazing service. Not a single thing served to us was below excellent quality. Best meal I’ve had in Delaware in years. Well done!

The service was great even with being short staffed today. I was glad they mentioned that and gave us options. The food was amazing, drinks were good. Clean restaurant! Will definitely be back!

I love the vibe, and wow, this burger just melts in your mouth. All the different flavors are amazing. The new fries are perfect, normally not a fan of the crinkle but these are so great 👌 😀

OMG!! The FOOD WAS TO DIE FOR! Came in with my lovely husband and got greeted by the host. We sat down and I immediately thought this place is was of higher quality. Our lovely server Jennifer greeted us, and Right off the bat Bill and I fell in love with her personality. Ordered our food (Gnocchi and lamb rack). FOOD WAS TO DIE FOR! The flavor behind every bite made me think this place needs to be shared to everybody I meet. These guys just opened up in middle town. They use to be in dover. I am happy for the switch because my husband and I live close. Jennifer our server made sure our drinks were always full, and we had smiles on our faces throughout our entire meal. We were well taken care and Jennifer made our experience 10/10. Jackson House got super lucky finding/Hiring Jennifer when I know from being a business women myself GOOD HELP IS HARD TO FIND! The Staff all acted, and dressed professionally. They all flowed great with each other; kind of like a well oiled machine. Creating a 10/10 Atmosphere You can tell the owner put some Big money into this place because the inside looked like a 5 *****Star establishment. Also whomever has restroom duty are doing a great job because the lady's room was spotless and clean. Nothing i can't appreciate more than is a clean bathroom. Thank you Jackson house for making my first experience with you guys magical!

The calamari and the shepherds pie was to die for! Also, the spinach and artichoke crab dip was amazing. Portions may look on the smaller side however I left full and satisfied. Our waiter was so nice too, thank y'all for a nice evening out

Had lunch and ordered all appetizers and dessert. Service was great and appetizers offered great choices. We went with calamari, tuna poke and chicken pot stickers. Calamari was a bit undercooked but poke and pot stickers were spot on. We will definitely return to sample more appetizers and an entre or 2. Leave room for dessert ! We both had the affogato which is to die for! Creamy Gelato in a pool of expresso. Awesome!

J
Jen Wagner

Food is phenomenal! Got the poke bites, sweet potato corn bread, korean corn dog, jerk chicken sandwich and bbq chicken sliders. Best food in the area by far. Walked in and sat at the bar at 5:00pm. A little miscommunication between some of the younger staff at the front vs. bartenders and GM. We were told the bar closed at 5:15 but our bartenders were amazing and accommodated us. Will definitely be back.

I ordered the Arugula, Classic salad and I enjoyed every bite. You can add a protein for an additional charge. My server was really good and the atmosphere is nice.

I went to Jackson House for brunch on Saturday with four friends. We all had different things. I had a scramble with egg, feta and spinach on top of hone fries. It was delicious. One Of my friends had pancakes with apples. It was a huge platter of food well worth the money. Another friend had a cheese burger with fries. It was delicious, too! Service was exceptional. Atmosphere was good. Clean restaurant too,!

My friend and I went for the first time and had an amazing experience. Our server Nicki was phenomenal and really attentive. She made some great recommendations on drinks and food when seeking suggestions. The food and drinks (mocktails) were great. We will definitely be going back!

Jackson House is amazing! Very good food, but the service was over the top! Our bartender, Emma, made our dining experience unforgettable! Very attentive, professional and ‘on point’. When you have so many dining options, often times the service is the deciding factor! Thank you Jackson House and a special thanks to Emma!

Leila the hostess was amazing, as well as Reuben the server. Seafood rolls are top tier, prepare your pallet if you want some spice( the dipping sauce). The Mushroom Swiss Smash Burger is delectable. The Cosmo was a great beverage with Tequila instead for Vodka (if you know, you know ). 10/10 lunch experience.

This is a restaurant that the owner's pride shows largely. The greeting is warm, the restaurant is impeccably clean, the servers attentive, menu selection is terrific, and food is a feast for the eyes before tasting delicious! The Cuban was one of the top 3 I've ever eaten, and the chicken and waffles were really good as well. Highly recommend you try this....you will be going back to try all their tempting offerings (since you watch them being delivered to nearby tables). Truly a nice experience!

I went early (as soon as they opened) for brunch. I had a non-alcoholic mimosa, apple juice, and a breakfast burrito. The mimosa was way too strong for me so I won’t comment on that (I’m not a fan of carbonated/burning drinks anyway. No fault to the bartender) but the burrito was excellent. You get a HEFTY serving size that left me full all day. The apple juice was also delicious and some of the best I’ve had (I am a big sweet juice fan lol!) Will definitely return. Service was also great and our server felt very natural and polite.

J
Jordan Herrick

We went here for Sunday brunch. The food choices are very diverse and the food itself was delicious. I got the apple brie burger and it was Definitely top 5 burgers I’ve ever had. My kids loved the cookies and cream waffles. We will be back.

Jackson House is what Middletown has needed for a very long time. An upscale restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere that has a staff who know what they are doing. The bar tenders are personable and professional and certainly know their stuff. The food, all around, is terrific, and the prices are well in line with what you would expect to pay. Been there 4 times now, highly recommend

B

Great spot . Decent size menu with various food options. They even sell lamb. They have a happy hour as well. My only complaint is that I paid $4.75 for a cup of tea. Actually, the other 2 people i dined with were charged $4.75 for their tea as well. I would definitely return, I just won't be ordering any tea 🙃

They were very nice. They are organized and very nice. The experience of the staff shows. Make a reservation you won’t be disappointed. We had the chopped salad, the chicken pesto and the Sheppards pie for dinner. The cinnamon cheesecake was fabulous! I had the chai martini! Everything was perfect. I’m looking forward to many great meals at the Jackson house!

My wife and I came here for lunch, and absolutely loved it.  The vibe is great (chic rustic style with lots of greenery) and the food was delicious.  We both also ordered cocktails, which were REALLY good and incredibly fancy (I got the Knock on Wood, which was sweet and smokey - it even came with a smoked slab of wood clipped to the side of the glass; and my wife got the lavender elixir which was decorated very nicely with a flower floating inside).  It was an all-in-all great experience, and so glad we have a restaurant like this in Middletown.  Will 100% be back to try their dinner menu, come with the kids, or bring family and friends the next time.

The food and atmosphere was great. Busy place on the weekends so we could not get reservations. We ate at the bar. The service while at the bar was ok. Can’t his have been a little better. But I’m sure the guy who was serving us was probably new and forgot to give us our utensils and napkins.

I had an exceptional dining experience at the Jackson House! Our server, Leila, did a phenomenal job!! she was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel so welcome. I ordered the scallop entrée, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and paired it with the chai mocktail. The mocktail was subtly spiced and refreshing—a perfect complement to the meal. The overall ambiance, service, and food were top-notch. I’ll definitely be eating here again. Highly recommend!

I attended a group meeting. Some of our members were late. Therefore we weren't seated right away. This was our first visit to the restaurant. We explored many dishes- appetizers, soups, salads, drinks, and entres. All of our party agreed that we enjoyed our visit to Jackson House.

We live here in Middletown and heard about this place through a friend, so my husband and I decided to give it a try—and we were pleasantly surprised! For a moment it didn’t even feel like we were in Delaware. The atmosphere was very aesthetically pleasing with an upscale vibe. The food was good, the drinks were great, and the bartender was super knowledgeable. I had a whiskey sour with egg whites and it was chef’s kiss.

This place is a vibe. I joined a friend here for food and cocktails. I had the lavender elixir which was divine. We shared the fried lamb chops, charbroiled oysters, and dip trio. Everything was delicious and the service was great. This place gives the quality of food and drinks that I'm used to when I eat out with friends in D.C. without the drive and taxes.

The French Sheppard pie. Small but good, the chili was spicy but paired with a Modelo was great. Would def order both again. The French Sheppard pie was small so get an app before hand. Wife had coconut curry, which was excellent as well.

Went for Brunch. It was crowded but service was quick. They had lots of employees attending to customers. Ordered omelette and scrapple. Came out hot and fast. Serving size was good. The omelette and the scrapple held its own without being overshadowed by the crispy hashbrowns. The serving of hashbrowns was generous, but not excessive—just enough to complement the dish without dominating the palate. By the time you finish, neither the omelette or scrapple nor the hashbrowns linger too long; the flavors remain balanced, leaving you with a satisfying, well-rounded meal. The hashbrowns were crispy and golden, but didn’t overwhelm the rest of the dish, ensuring each bite felt just right. Place is huge with lots of parking. Nice crowd. Family friendly too! Will come back to try dinner menu and their cocktails.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Totally Redeemed Itself! Gotta be honest — my first visit to Jackson House didn’t wow me. My meal just missed the mark. But I’m so glad I gave it another shot, because this time around? Wicked impressed. We kicked things off with drinks: the Espresso Martini was classic and flawless — smooth, bold, and just sweet enough. But the Mr. Biggs Margarita? Whoa. It’s their seasonal special and super herbal — like sipping a garden. I joked it felt healthy enough to count as a salad. But honestly? It totally worked. Bold, refreshing, and absolutely worth trying. Drinks? 5/5. Fresh off a routine doctor’s appointment, this was our kind of wellness follow-up: one cocktail that felt like vegetables, and the rest pure comfort. Next up: soup. And both were stellar. The Loaded Baked Potato Soup was creamy and dreamy with little bits of potato and bacon and just enough sour cream to tie it all together. The Potato Leek Soup was rich, velvety, and topped with these beautiful shaved potato crisps — the kind of detail that takes a simple dish to the next level. Soup? 5/5. For appetizers, we got adventurous. The boneless wings came with a wild blueberry Uncle Latest sauce — and that sauce was incredible. The wings themselves? Just fine. Same for the fried squash blossoms — interesting to try, but mine had a bit of raw batter and didn’t really pop. Still enjoyable, but not something I’d order again. Appetizers? 3/5. The vibe here is hip, cozy, and a little upscale. We were seated right away, and the service? Outstanding. Huge shoutout to our server Jaylyn — she was incredibly kind, attentive, and just a superb server all around. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. Final verdict? Jackson House has totally redeemed itself. From garden-fresh cocktails to soul-warming soups, this visit flipped the script. I went from skeptical to full-on fan in one meal — and I’ll absolutely be back. Don’t sleep on the seasonal specials… and if you see “Uncle Latest” on a sauce list, just go for it.

While I've only had lunch here and it's been good, they, by far, have the best espresso martini in town. Before I had to drive all the way to Wilmington for a good espresso martini, but Hazen & Hayle nail it (as long as they add Baileys).

A new addition to Middletown which is a delight. I had dinner with a co-worker and we will definitely be coming back to try many things on the menu. We had two drinks, which were strong, but really good flavor. Granted, the service had a bit of a wait, just to let people know, but that is expected as it is a little bit on the upscale part. It was also just the beginnings of a new establishment, so absolutely understandable. Going out to eat in this type of place takes time to enjoy and relish the moment. Onto the food. We both had appetizers, Korean corn dog that had a side of truffle infused sugar on the side to dip. Poke with wonton strips with cilantro. It was a nice and light start. I’m very impressed with the entree. I had the gnocchi with a shrimp and crab meat in a blush sauce. I have to admit, it was a bit sweet for my liking, but the flavor was so good, I can’t complain. I saved half of it for leftovers the next day, so delicious still. We also had beignets and apple funnel cake for dessert. In all, the service was polite and the food was tasty. Also, the chef came by to check on us, she is an absolute delight and did a phenomenal work with the food and its presentation. Definitely a must try and repeat visit.

My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant, and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. It's a good idea to make a reservation. We loved the seafood egg rolls; they were so delicious! The coconut shrimp paired well with the French fries, but I wasn't a fan of the sauce that came with it. The lamb chops were okay, served with roasted veggies and grits, but we probably won't order them again. Overall, the service was good, and our waiter was friendly and helpful.

M
Maria Matos

Really impressed with the service and atmosphere. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcomed right away. The ambience was beautiful, warm lighting, tasteful décor, and a comfortable vibe that made the evening feel special. The only downside for me was the food. While the presentation was lovely, I found that the dishes lacked the flavor and seasoning I was hoping for. It wasn’t bad by any means, just underwhelming compared to the rest of the experience. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Jackson House for the excellent service and ambience, but I hope the kitchen steps up the seasoning to match the high standards set by the rest of the restaurant.

This place was a nice find. Drinks were good and service was attentive. I ordered the bison steak, which was pricey but pretty good. My partner ordered the full rack of lamb which had a tasty sauce but they were small and kind of tough and chewy. The olives and the calamari were quite good. Would recommend and visit again.

This is a hidden gem in Middletown, DE. You didn't need reservations but they will ask. We did shareable items and the salmon nuggets are a must try. I would prefer the lamb chops to be grilled vs fried. There were also daily specials. Very clean bathroom.

I went here for dinner and ordered an old fashioned for my drink which tasted like it had a hint of cinnamon in it. It was good although I’m not a fan of cinnamon. For starters I ordered the popcorn chicken, coconut shrimp and cornbread. I really enjoyed the coconut shrimp and cornbread I just wish the portions were slightly bigger for the price. If the cornbread was served in a small skillet that would’ve been top notch because that alone is 5 stars. It’s disappointing the cornbread is done in 4 bites. I don’t recommend the popcorn chicken it taste like the frozen popcorn chicken bites at the grocery store. For the meal I ordered passion fruit salmon, with broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes and that meal was 5 stars by itself. The salmon portion is very small and I wish it was a slightly larger cut. I will definitely return and recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.

This isn’t my first time being at this location under another restaurant name but this new restaurant “Jackson House” is really nice 😊 lamb chops were a little overcooked but tasty 😋 love the seafood roll. The salmon and lobster roll 🦞 were ok. Lobster roll had a sauce that overpowered the taste of the lobster. Some food quantity and price wasn’t too bad! Love the vibe and atmosphere ❤️

This is a hidden gem in Middletown, DE. You didn't need reservations but they will ask. We did shareable items and the salmon nuggets are a must try. I would prefer the lamb chops to be grilled vs fried. There were also daily specials. Very clean bathroom.

Jackson House is a whole vibe. A friend and I went for brunch and loved it. The service was just ok, but the atmosphere was perfect and the food was delicious! The drinks were great as well, although very overpriced. We will definitely be going back to Jackson House.

Ordered coconut shrimp with "pina collada sauce". This is what Red Lobster serves with their coconut shrimp so you expect to receive this same sauce. Unfortunately, it actually comes with a "sweet thai chili sauce" with added crushed pineapple, which is spicy, not creamy and luscious. Had we known it was a spicy sweet Thai chili sauce, we would've ordered something else. Please correct this on your menu. The shrimp were also way too browned...maybe oil was old or too hot. The french fries were one of the best we've ever had and served piping hot. We will return to try another dish.

Alas, a bad brunch. And not because of service or atmosphere; strictly because of the food. Was it foolish of me to expect a restaurant trying to be ritzy to know breakfast? Yes, yes it was. When I was told that the kitchen didn’t prepare eggs in the common way I ordered, I should have immediately changed to lunch. But nothing was good about the platter, which was microwave-level at best. I sat my plate aside, and enjoyed my time with my family.

I was so excited about this restaurant coming to the neighborhood and couldn't wait to go there. My family and I went for the brunch and everything went smoothly. The food tasted good and the service were great..with this in mind I couldn't wait to go there for my birthday dinner. My family and I had a 8:30 pm reservation. We got there about 8:20 and were seated in 15 minutes. The front desk guy apologize about the wait, which was understandable knowing that it's Friday night. Our waiter came about few minutes which was great. When she got to our table, she did not speak to us or introduced herself. She asked what we were getting to drink. My kids told her what they wanted and my husband and I was still looking through the menu. I told her that we were just getting started to go through the menu and trying to find what we wanted. She quickly said ok and walked away. She later return with the kids drinks and asked what we wanted to drink. She seems ignore, and in a hurry. She appear very flat even with a 5 year old at the table. I'm not sure if that's her personality but it's a new restaurant and even as that, no body should feel rushed in looking through the menu. I told her that this were our first time for dinner here and were not femalia with the menu. I asked her about the non alcoholic drink which she was able to point it out on the menu. I couldn't had find it anyway because it had a different name on it. She quickly left again after pointing that out on the menu. I noticed, it was taking her a long time to return. I had to ask the other witter for help because it seems like she was not returning. I also notice that our table had one water bottle and the other tables waters were poured into their glasses and ours was not. After I asked the other witter for helped, that's when he poured our water in our glasses and when to get our witter. I even asked for another witter but we got the same lady. The food was not good at all, I'm not sure if, it's because of the time. The Gnocchi, which was recommended, smalls bad and tasted sweet. My husband could not eat it and asked for the shrimp scampi, which looks like, they took a raw shrimps out of a bag and put it on a half cooked spaghetti. I asked for a well cooked Lamp Rack and I were given a manual raw. The beef quesadilla was very dry and was not the best. I even told her them that it was my birthday and wanted a slice of cake. I did not even get a Happy birthday. I was kinda surprised, since it was a restaurant. When the witter came to collect the plates, I then try to tell her that we went there because the brunch was good but the dinner was not so good. I even told that maybe we were there late that's why. She didn't seems to care much, she then said, " well, it's the best on the menu and a lot of people like it". She then return with the check and said we took the Gnocchi and shrimp scampi off". My husband and I try a bite of the Gnocchi and didn't touch the stramp scampi. It was nice of them to not try to make us paid for it. It's a shame because I kept myself hungry all day because I really wanted to eat good. I'm not sure how soon I will return here but I might go back for brunch.

I went back for the shrimp scampi because the first time I had it, it was amazing and flavorful. The second time around however, was not the greatest. It made me a bit disappointed because I raved about it recently.

I ate here for brunch on Sunday it was only ok. The food was good mostly but it did leave something to be desired. I got the Cali smash burger which I loved but the fries were frozen and didn’t even seem fried, seemed they baked them. The service was very bad and inconsistent, they seemed short staffed but our server kept walking away without addressing our entire party. I also noticed several servers trying to serve food to the wrong tables. Not a fan of millennial fad restaurants either, which this is one. ‘Handhelds’ and not funny humor in the bathroom. Asked the host for still water and was given tap. For the price point bottled water should be included, and the overall experience wasn’t great. We won’t be back.

The food was delicious. Service was ok. It took a while before our waitress arrived to the table to take our drink orders and she kept forgetting to bring our sides after the meals came out. It's a little pricey for the portion sizes. Overall, it was an ok experience, but service could be better.

This restaurant is pretty basic overall. We visited for brunch and were informed that brunch is served until 4 p.m. on weekends, which means the menu is mostly focused on breakfast foods. There were plenty of random options, but the food itself was underwhelming and overpriced. Despite their claims of aiming for an upscale vibe, the dishes felt a bit messy and not particularly special. Overall, it’s just an okay spot not bad, but nothing remarkable either.

j

The service was good. My steak was overcooked ordered medium rare and got well done. It was dried out and had no flavor. The shrimp that came with the meal were disgusting. Did not eat my meal. Ask the waiter if they could discount the meal, not trying to get for nothing and all the manager would do is knock off seven dollars. . So I paid $40 for something I could not eat feel that was a horrible way to handle. The situation will never go back again.

I dined at The Jackson House last night for the first time. I ordered the House Lemonade with Honey Lavender, which was $10. After the first sip, I could tell it was Minute Maid Lemonade from the fountain. It has a distinct taste and I don't like it. The manager confirmed that they use the Minute Maid and add some kind of flavor in it. 🤔 I think that's a little deceptive. The fries also remind me of Nathan's from the freezer section of your local grocer. I could be wrong, but I'm just saying. Service was not good. We waited for a very long time, while people with a bigger party who came in after us, received their food, and left. They are definitely overpriced and charge for every little thing. They charged me $1 for a side of sour cream for my nachos and another $1 for raw onions to be added to my cheeseburger, which was already like $25. I will say that the nachos with chorizo were really good.

As this location only opened a little over a week ago, I am going to believe that's the reason for why I cannot give it 5 stars at this time. I made a reservation but I arrived about 30 minutes before to which I was promptly seated, however noticed that I didn't truly need a reservation for this Sunday's brunch. Maybe many people were traveling or decided to stay in, but considering this is still a new restaurant in the area I did expect it to be crowded. My main concern was that I was seated and it took about 10 minutes before anyone even greeted me. I noticed all the waitstaff and manager walking around me and initially was wondering if I was invisible, but I think maybe my coming in early the host didn't communicate to the waitresses therefore it was not clear who's table I was. I noticed a table that was sat after me was promptly greeted, maybe it was because it a 5 of them and only myself for brunch that led to that. Either way the young lady came over and didn't even apologize for the wait as she looked right at me when she and the other waitress were trying to figure it out then went to the host station before coming over to me. I say this because all aspects of service is very important especially for a new restaurant and management needs to communicate this. Oh and I did find it odd that I was asked what type of water I wanted by my escort to table, it really threw me off and perhaps that should take place as usually expected after seated. Also, I noticed my waitress poured another table's water into their glasses, but did not do the same for me. Consistency in service is a must! I decided go order less than I planned because while I gave grace for the wait the fact that there was no acknowledgment of it, that changed my desire to explore the menu. I ordered a Lavender Elixir cocktail which was very tasty, however it was missing the flower as indicated on menu and other reviews. I asked the waitress for their top sellers and she suggested the Chicken and Waffles and their breakfast plate which I went with the Chicken and Waffles with a side of scrambled eggs with American. The eggs were cooked very well however it is clear that they were liquid eggs and not 2 whole eggs as indicated on the menu; the latter being my preference. I did add some pepper and the eggs included chives (not indicated on menu so if have issue with that inform) but I was pleasantly pleased with the taste prior to adding the pepper. The waffle pieces were warm and along with the syrup they were delectable. The chicken was a chicken steak piece that was fried perfectly, however something was missing in the seasoning (thinking some pepper/cayenne) that made me have to add some hot sauce to it. I will give them a plus to my stars because nothing was overly salty! I gave the middle of the road rating because it was just so so to me. The ambience is fantastic, especially for Middletown, and I really enjoyed the musical entertainment during brunch. I'm not going to go out of my way to go again any time soon, but I would give them another try especially since dinner reviews seem to be highly rated.

lmon nuggets -could use more seasoning , pretty fishy 6/10 Lamb chops-cooked well , not extremely flavorful but I’d order again. 6/10 Seafood eggrolls -I’ve had better seafood eggrolls . This seems to be very shrimp forward. Sauce that comes with it seems to be a spicy mayo based sauces. Tastes like the sauce on the spicy chicken sandwich. Good for what it was probably wouldn’t get it again. 5/10 Crispy Brussels - Brussels was pretty good , definitely not crispy as described though lol 6/10 Garlic bread grilled cheese - normally don’t ever say too much cheese on a grilled cheese but this was a lot of cheese and rich so it was like a punch in the mouth lol maybe the buttered bread added to the richness a bit but it was a lot. 7/10 Spicy chicken sandwich - so good , whatever spicy sauce on here is good , tastes like a mayo based sauce. Comes with fries. Nothing special. Taste to be an avg frozen fry. Overall 8/10 Firecracker shrimp - great flavor , nice snap on the shrimp so not cooked too hard , not too much breading , not a crazy spice level, tasty , would def get again 9/10 Sweet potato cornbread - don’t know what I was expecting ….. but that the consistency was of a blueberry muffin or so. Again I don’t know what I was expecting but def expected more sweet potato flavor , instead it reminded me of a banana nut bread … 3/10 Would def go back and grab spicy chicken sandwich meal with a firecracker shrimp appetizer 👌🏾

Food was amazing beautiful inside even the playing. But first it took our waitress about 20 minutes to bring our drinks to the table after ordering but watched her bring drinks to a table that came AFTER us. My party ordered 3 servings is the seafood rolls only brung out 2 then after 10 minutes finally asked where the 3rd which she forgot to put in so had to wait longer. Didn’t come check on the table to see how the food was or for refills nothing. Then I asked for half a rack of lamb FRIED she brings them out regular….then she asked how many containers we needed we said 4 and she brings back less than that…she was just completely unattentive to the table

First visit to Jackson House. The atmosphere was just average. Our server was ok. My husband and I ordered a vodka gimlet but I’m not really sure what we got ! We ordered the pickle fries for an appetizer they were very good. The best thing we had. We placed our order, my husband and my niece both received their dinner, after about 10 minutes we questioned where mine was. It finally came out when they were finishing their meal!!! I ordered the so called Hoagie, it’s more like a ham sandwich! It can’t even be called a sub! It had 1 piece of ham 1 piece of salami etc. It is the about 6 inches long. It was $19.00!! We are from Delco Pa. Where a HOAGIE is packed with meat etc. and is about 12 inches long and cost about $15.00 and is a REAL ITALIAN HOAGIE!!! You should change the name of your $19.00 ham sandwich!

Never had a chance to eat. My husband n’ I thought that we would finally give this place a try. When we arrived the bar was crowded yet there were 5 empty stools in various spots. Hard to believe that NOT 1 patron was kind enough to offer to move down…so we left!

Food for brunch... overpriced, lacking GF options, very forgettable food. Had the basic egg meat hash brown and scrapple... not impressed. In fact poor quality. Coffee... cold. Breakfast choices... so so... could hane been overlooked if food quality (cooks execution) was better. I think they throw all into the looks of the place... as it's charming, but not worth it. And again not offering but 1 choice x gluten free needs folks. Server was ok.

I really wanted to like this place better than I actually did! Apps: we got the salmon bites and pickle fries. DELICIOUS!! Fried to perfection and the dipping sauces were delicious. Entrees: Pasta bolognese: wayyy too sweet!! Southwestern Salad: wayyy too spicy!! This place lacks a BALANCE of flavors. I love spicy well seasoned food but made with deft hands. In addition, they charge extra for everything!! I had to pay a dollar for red pepper flakes to add to the bolognese!! Atmosphere and waitress was great!! But the entrees were just disappointing :( :( :(

I visited Jackson House on January 9, 2025. My friend and I were asked if we wanted the cornbread to come out first before the meal? we replied yes. The server brought our meal without the cornbread, we nicely asked “where is the cornbread” and he replied “I only have two hands”. We asked for the manager who talked with him and replied “he was just joking”. 👀 it was a horrible experience. The manager gave us one piece of cheesecake as an apology. I will never frequent this establishment again. I loved the restaurant before they moved. This whole experience was just disrespectful!

Called ahead to see if we needed reservations and were told no. Arrived at 6pm and waited while someone answered the phone instead of seating us. Then waited while they put menus on the table, then came back and seated us. Over 5 min. Ordered one soup and 2 sandwiches for dinner. Very good. Drinks took over 15 minutes to arrive. Charged $4.75 for a club soda....? I ordered a vodka and cranberry double. Took another 1/2 hour to get a refill. We also ordered dessert. We were told homemade ice cream was available. We both ordered it. Received 1 scoop each. It came out partially melted....waited anothet 15 minutes for our check after clearly we were finished. Asked 3 different persons fot a check. My issue was the wait and was only the third night they were open. Our waitress was great! Received the check and was charged $22 for a vodka and cranberry double! Twice! $44. $7 for 1 scoop of ice cream. Spoke with mgmt. before leaving and she said well we are an upscale restaurant and I'll look into it why 2 doubles cost the price of 4 drinks. ? She said she would also speak to the bar manager and just walked away. I had two drinks for the price of four! $44 for 2 vodka and cranberry doubles and $14 for 2 scoops of ice cream The entire meal took over 1.5 hours due to slow service. All in $149 for 2 adults with 2 sandwiches and 1 soup and 3 drinks and 2 scoops of ice cream with slow service. Terrble!

had a party of 6 with a reservation and one person was running late. Despite 5/6 of our party arriving, the staff refused to seat us until the entire party arrived. The place was not busy and the table we were at was available. Sitting in the waiting area for an extended period of time, unable to order drinks or apps was annoying to the entire group. Was told by others this was a common experience. Food was fine but not worth that. I won’t be back

I would give NO starts if possible. Went for dinner Sunday, June 22nd. Had reservation for 2 people and was seated promptly. Restaurant not busy. However, we sat at our table and waited and Waited and WAITED. Two waitstaff walked by our table several times and didn't even look in our direction. Two bartenders standing around with no customers. We finally just walked out.

It's really cute in there and the food is pretty decent but the service is awful. I've been there twice very recently and had the same experience. The bartender is only concerned with partons at the bar the wait staff is uneducated and inexperienced and management is doesn't seem to care. They watched there bartender get weeded and didn't help. There's so much more but I don't feel like getting into it. It's a shame.

My two friends and I were really excited to try this new place. When we arrived, we asked for a table for three and were told there would be about a five-minute wait after the hostess checked the system. A few minutes later, she came back and told us the last available table had just been booked for a reservation, and that our wait time had suddenly changed to an hour. I’m not sure if this is their standard practice, but it felt unprofessional and disappointing. We were already waiting for the table we were told was available. If a reservation is made after walk-in guests arrive, it’s unclear why the walk-ins wouldn’t still be seated. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad impression, and we won’t be returning. I’ve never had this happen at another restaurant.

I don’t normally do reviews, but I’m so disappointed of this place. I only order a Cesar salad, but it was soo uneatable, just so bad. Way too much dressing, way too much cheese, I cant even see the letters and they had no crunch, just horrible. How can you manage to ruin a simple Cesar salad?. The drink I order was watery, barely any flavor. And the worst part, we told our waiter about the salad, he apologized but we still have to pay for it. It was never removed from the bill! Incredible. So the service was good, the place is pretty. But the food and drink was bad, and I have to pay for something I can’t even eat. Unfortunately I won’t recommend this place.

I’m sad to say that Jackson House has fallen off! Ever since they relocated the food hasn’t taste the same. Where ‘s the love and passion? The food is tasteless and flavorless. This isn’t the Jackson House I used to love! Smdh

This was our 1st visit to Jackson House on September 14, 2025 for brunch. We ordered Bloody Marys to compare them to the MANY others we've had. Up & down the East coast we try Bloodys. We've never had one like this! Our advice....ORDER SOMETHING ELSE, ANYTHING ELSE!!!!! Our server, Lori, was wonderful. The bartender, upon being informed of our opinion, was rude & dismissive. We left & went to Schaefers Canal House where the Bloodys are always excellent.

Was there in October and received slow service. Figured it was a bad day for them and went back last night to give it another chance. Stood at hostess station for 10 minutes, no one came over and the people behind the bar looked us in the eye then looked away.

Went there Saturday. Our children took us out to celebrate our 34th Anniversary. Let me say a $450 meal was not what we experienced. Service was much to be desired. With a reservation took us over 20 minutes to get seated. The server who handed us our food decided to hand us our food from the opposite side of the table. Reaching over others. What server doesn't know the side of the table where the customer is sitting is the correct way to serve. The drinks were weak and expensive. Lastly, the expensive $55 rib eye steak was just bad. No rib eye needed to be do disrespected. I wish I ask if the chef would come out to look what they did to this beautiful piece of meat.I didn't want to spoil the beautiful experience of our children treating us so I did not want to make our our children feel uncomfortable. Until I found out the meal was $450. The horror. I still want to speak to the manager.

I used to love to recommend people to Jackson House when they were looking for suggestions in the area but I’ll no longer be doing that. Today makes the second time in a month that we arrived and were told an hour and a half to 2 hour wait while the restaurant was empty. We are typically regulars dining at least once a week but we’ll prioritize other restaurants going forward.
