Kimbap is fresh and slaps harder than my mom, I got seafood ones. All 9-10$. Decent pricing for the size.

Very fast service and delicious quick eats. Highly recommend the spicy tuna kimbap and spam&egg triangle. The tempura batter was fried surprisingly skillfully - very light and flakey texture.

A
Andrew Yochum

Amazing spot for casual Korean comfort foods. The portions are huge. We got the spicy tuna roll, which is not raw tuna - interesting and filling menu item! The dumpling ramyun (spicy ramen soup and pork dumplings with egg) and cheese dukboki (rice cakes like gnocchi with fish cakes, spicy sauce and cheese on top) were both amazing.

Whenever I have to catch a flight I come here for my kimbap, it’s so delicious and with lots of fillings 10/10

K

The portions are big and the food is affordable. I really liked the ramen tteokbokki.

M

The food was delicious and the service was pretty good. The only downside is that since it's a popular place, it gets crowded pretty easily.

my fav kimbap + korean place!! everything is super affordable :-). the picture speaks for itself - i was surprised by the quality of the food, and i’ve always come back here everytime i’m in flushing! love their shrimp tempura and bibimbap!

S
Shamshad sultaan

First time Korean food and loved the hot sauce more then the food lol

N
Nika Tomková

The food was absolutely phenomenal, big portions so beware if you have a small stomach LOL, they ask you about your spice tolerance and everyone is very nice. Their soup is wonderful, kimchi too and I had the ramyun tteokbokki which was flavorful and spicy, just perfect. Definitely recommed for anyone who wants to grab some food at any point of the day. There is almost no parking unfortunately, but if you are a tourist and take the bud that’s also ok.

K

Authentic Korean restaurant with reasonable price. It is pretty small, but they have outdoor spaces now. What I aordered was fried rice cake with chewy noodles.

J
Jaiyoung Sun (Jai)

Korean "street food" which isn't really street food anymore. Good food, good proportions, and they don't cheap out with ingredients.

S
Shamanta Nava

I was surprised reading all the reviews. From my own experience when indoor dining or ordering takeout the waiters nor the cashier haven been rude to me. The place is clean in my opinion. The size of the restaurant is kind of small and seem it’s getting more popularity, that I think they should open another restaurant. The pricing is worth the food. I love the food and their employees💜

First time I've had fast food Korean style. Felt like I was in Korea. Nice place, quick eats, cheap price, fast service, what else to say? Recommended during a swift lunch break.

J

Wifey had a hankering for Korean, so I picked their namesake combination platter along with a side order of their eel roll heading back home. Good amount of food, you won't be disappointed. Tax is added if you pay with credit. So bring cash.

V

Note: Other reviews here mention poor ingredients like how the spicy tuna is unexpectedly canned tuna and are complaining about it, or have complaints about other ingredients. I'd like to point out that lots of Korean food contains canned tuna, canned sausages, spam, American cheese etc because of the shelf stable US Army rations that were available in Korea at the time. So don't be surprised when you find them on the menu here. It makes for delicious, authentic Korean food. If you don't like it, it's silly and ignorant to leave a bad review simply because they are making Korean food how it's meant to be made. Original Review: This place is amazing. The food is delicious and fresh tasting. The menu has so much that I want to come back and try. They give you a delicious savory soup before your meal which is great for a rainy day. The service was attentive and quick. Highly recommend this spot!

Had a good time, staff were nice and food was good. The space is a little cramp but overall no complaints. Waiters were nice about the questions I asked and the food didnt take that long to get to us.

Great variety of Korean food, from noodles to rice and dukbokki to rolls. I typically get their kimbap rolls, inari, and pork cutlet over rice. Price is reasonable, and they have the usual lunch specials. Can easily get full from $8-20 per person. They have indoor and outdoor dining, but definitely feels like a takeout/to-go type of spot.

Great Service. Parking will be an issue, depending on the time of day. Parking can be found in the nearby municipal parking lot which is a 3 mins walk from this restaurant. The food was very tasty and the prices are not bad.

S
Shemika Daughtry

The food was tasted. It was two of us and we got the meal for 1-2 ppl. There was enough food for both of us with that 1 order. We got beef, chicken and pork everything else on the table with a 1 glass of red wine each. There wasn't much people in there. It was around 5pm wasn't crowed. Also the parking lot next to it have free parking for 2 hours if you dine at this place. The service was great.

Was there week ago. Going to repeat tomorrow, what means I really really liked it. Had squid on a rice. My friends friend-baby octopus. Mild and strong spicy. Sauce was awesome-a little sweet (not that awful sweet as in Chinese food) and spicy at the same moment. Delicious. Cheap. Also they serve it with sweet canned corn and cabbage salad with gravy. Free appetizers - kimchi and simple broth, glass of water prior. Tomorrow gonna try bibimbap. But still decide-maybe change to kimchi rice under egg? And rolls!!! How i could forget!? :) Cause everything in the plates of people around looked amazing! I hardly held myself not to come to everyone, ask the name of a dish and to try a bit :) Believe tomorrow will not be my last visit. Want to try everything there. Strictly recommend! 08/02/2016: yes, I will come back here again! This was my second time and it appeared to be great start for the day. Bibimbap + cheesy spicy tuna rolls (which twice more than usual 8). Tasty! Good thing to add that this guys ready to serve you with everything they promise in their menu right after opening, so you can have wonderful breakfast early in the morning. I came from Brooklyn Heights for mine and definitely will repeat it:)

I went there with a friend, and it was great. The portions of the food were enormous; I couldn't finish them. The taste of the food was excellent, and I enjoyed eating it.

Service was great and the food was delicious with good portions. Even though I have a small stomach, I was amazed at how I managed to finish the entire omurice. We also got the pork katsu and that was good too. I definitely have to come back here someday to try more!

I discovered this place thanks to a friend who invited me, and it is absolutely delicious. My friends and I tried a variety of dishes, and they were all very tasty. The prices are very reasonable, the atmosphere is very warm, and the staff is very friendly. I would definitely go again.I love this Place

The service was good, the restaurant was clean. Prices were also reasonable. Portion sizes were good as well. I ordered the Cream Tteokbokki and my friend ordered the Bibimbap. I thought my food tasted good enough. Fresh, and hot, which I love, and they added bacon to the cream Tteokbokki, a good idea because it was a little bland, and the salt of the bacon helped. I don't like when my food swims in the cream sauce so that's why I thought the dish was just "good" and not "great." I tried a bit of my friend's food, it was also good, but not as steaming hot as mine, perhaps because it wasn't in a stone pot. I liked the Miso though it was a little too salty, but it was the perfect temperature upon arrival. The kimchi was also good, not too spicy, and a good amount of crunch so I know it was fresh. I would definitely recommend his place to anyone craving some kimbap nara food.

The service was great, it’s a nice cozy spot near the trains and buses in flushing. This was one of the best meals I’ve had in the city! And everything was reasonably priced for what you get. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Price Hiked again. My Spicy Tuna Cheese Roll went from $6.75 to $8.50. Same quality, same amount of kimbap, only difference is the to-go packaging. Regardless of the price hike, Eating in Kimganae is always a good time with good vibes with great food especially when there isn’t an entire line waiting for a table.

My go-to lunch and dinner restaurant and their foods are very delicious! I got different kinds of kimbap from this restaurant before! I brought my mother with me and we got fish cake and seafood udon along with chicken kimbap. Moreover, they serve us with a warm miso soup which is very flavorful! The workers there are very friendly with amazing hospitality! 8% off if you pay cash, I highly recommend this lovely restaurant!

I been coming here since 2017, I have brought my friends here and they love it too. They give you soup and kimchi while you order and are waiting for you food. They’re always so kind and nice. The food is so delicious, that’s why I been coming here for 8 years. Lucas, he was so nice and attentive. This is my fav place to go.

I love coming here. This place never disappoints. The staff is always accommodating and super friendly. I have been coming here for over five years. The food is always delicious and I love the complimentary soup. The food is full of flavor and never bland. They also have lunch specials if you go between a certain time during the week. Usually there isn’t a wait, but if there is, it is usually under five minutes.

Reminds me of the authentic donkatsu from Seoul Korea, not too spicy DdukBoki, Korean style Udon also very tasty

Comfortable spot for Korean comfort food that’s somewhat inexpensive compared to nearby spots. I love their bibimbap and kimbap. I used to come here often when I lived in Queens. This last time I just stopped in early for some dukboki. It was alright, I think the rice cakes were a bit tough, but otherwise, delicious.

J
Jemi Puno

I went here on a weeknight with friends for dinner and loved it! Service was so nice and they served the food quickly. Portion size is also pretty big for the price. Definitely get their pork katsu because the sauce is so good! Their kimbap was also delicious, but I forgot to take a photo of it!

A
Abigail Flores

Kimgane is one of my favorite spots! I always go for the vegetable roll ramen or the pork cutlets, they’re both amazing! Plus, they serve complimentary miso soup, which is a nice touch. Sometimes there’s a bit of a wait, but it’s usually no more than 15 minutes, which isn’t bad at all. Definitely recommend this place!

A
Alexandra

I DONT KNOW ABOUT YALL BUT THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST MOST ATTENTIVE SERVICE. I love their lunch special hours and the servers attention to detail. Food is always warm and workers are super respectful and non judgmental. Place gets packed therefore you know this place is good!

Kimganae in Flushing is a fantastic spot when you're craving comforting, authentic Korean street-style food in a clean and modern setting. The moment you walk in, you're welcomed by a lively atmosphere and the irresistible aroma of freshly prepared dishes. I first tried this place on my birthday 🎂 October 3rd of 2024. I haven't been able to let it go since. My go to place for kimbap they have a spicy beef kimbap roll that has lots of vegetables like spinach, pickled radish, shiitake mushroom, carrot, bardock root, and thin ribbons scrambled egg and of course their spicy beef you can really taste the perilla leaf and it's not too spicy has a really good flavor. I don't live close to Kimganae but I crave it and I go well out of my way to flushing just to have it because it's just that good.

Kimganae has that real home style Korean flavor. I tried the bibimbap and honestly, it was on fire. Potion's big enough for two, but I finished it solo lol. The vibe's casual, prices not bad at all. Kimganae is one of those places I'd hit again when I want comfort food that actually tastes like effort.

I’ve been going to Kimganae since I was in high school, so more than 10 years! It’s a classic comfort spot that never disappoints. Their kimbap is the best. My favorite is the spicy tuna kimbap, which always has the perfect rice to filling ratio and so much flavor. They’re super generous with the filling too.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I went there with my girlfriend because she recommended it. Out of all the New York restaurants this one reminded me the most from Korea. Right from the start I never got a chance to get the waiters name but he was a wearing a mask and around 5’10 it seems he was always on point and ready to serve and handle any request. I never had to wait for anything and his recommendations was amazing I highly highly recommend the pork cutlet pumpkin and sweet potato with cheese hands down amazing. Everything was perfect and I can see why my girlfriend been coming here for the last 10+ years especially when she moved out of flushing . Been over too a 100 restaurant in New York. From the authenticity and the food and their PORTIONS is huge I usually get two or three entrees but here an entree and a app and a side hamburger steak and I was stuff plus the top on that was the price and hands down amazing atmosphere with perfect service. Will definitely be returning. Didn’t have any photos but I had a video , sorry for the quality but had to screenshot the video

This place was recommended by a friend. She claimed that the food here was superb and at a low cost. Needless to say, she was not wrong! The prices were fair, especially given the portion size. I did not expect them to be as big as they were! So, if you plan on coming here, make sure you limit yourself a bit. All their rolls are delicious, but my favorite would be the Beef + Inari Roll. The roll is perfectly balanced, and the inari is a nice change of flavor to the seaweed. A highly recommended dish is the Kimchi Fried Rice! The rice is cooked perfectly, with a sunny side-up egg to give it some extra flavor. There is also a subtle spice from the kimchi mixed with the rice, making each bite as good as the last! Another highly recommended dish was the Cheese Ramyun. I was unable to try it last time, instead, ordered the Sliced Rice Cake Ramyun. The Sliced Rice Cake Ramyun was, of course, delicious, too. The ramyun was not too soft, but not too chewy. Even better, you can actually feel the spice as you eat the ramyun and rice cakes. If you are ever in the neighborhood, definitely come and try this place! Large Korean dishes that are tasty and at a low cost. A change of pace to the million other duplicate all-you-can-eat buffets surrounding the area.

Great service at this casual dining spot, with free refills of water and barley tea! We ordered the hamburger steak rice set, fish cake noodles, and beef kimbap, all of which were delicious and very filling. I would definitely return for their affordable lunch specials. Highly recommend!

At the time of this review, this would be my 3rd visit to Kimganae, and each dine in visit has always been a delicious journey! Kimganae is located at the heart of Flushing where some of the best Korean restaurants can be found, and this one is definitely on this list. Every visit, I’m always greeted with the friendly staff and service. Of course the space itself can get fairly packed due to its limited seating, but it’s certainly not a dealbreaker. As for the food and prices, it’s fairly affordable depending on what you order, and the value of its meal and taste is worth the price! I always love their Light Western menu, and this time I decide to order the Kimganae Special which is a combo of their fish cutlet, Japanese pork cutlet, and hamburger steak. If you’re like me who is a big fan of any of those three items, then you’ll definitely love the Kimganae Special! The gravy is thick and rich, and it goes really well with the rice and meats. The fish cutlet is well fried with a zesty tartar sauce on top. Overall, this combo entree is probably the best highlight of their Light Western menu, and I highly recommend it. For the price, it’s a tasty dish that fills you up! My girlfriend orders the recommended Seafood Udon. The soup broth is what you expect with hints of shrimp, clam, and squid. The udon noodle is cooked just right. The seafood is somewhat overcooked especially the shrimp, yet enjoyable. Overall, Kimganae is a very good Korean restaurant that has a great variety of dishes with decent portions, fair prices, and delicious tastes. It’s a restaurant worth coming back to!

My waiter was Andrew and he gave excellent service. He is very well-mannered, attractive & has a great sense of humor. For the food, the complementary Miso Soup here is additive. I could not stop drinking it as I had 3 bowls. My Dish was the Spicy Chicken with Rice & my friends got Shrimp & Clam Noodle Soups. The flavor was perfect. Great experience here. 100% would recommend to anyone who likes fast served food that also tastes great!

If you're looking for korean comfort food then this is the place for you. Prices are decent considering you get large portions. Food is tasty. We usually order beef gimbap and pork katsu. I like that they give you fish soup and kimchi radish with your meal.

Disclaimer: I am neither Korean nor I can speak or understand this language (except for the term “oppa”) Date of purchase: August 28th, 2022, on a Sunday Review: 1. The service was fine, I just didn’t understand what one of the waiters was saying because he was speaking Korean. 2. The portion was better than I expected it to be. I spent $15 on the Kimganae Katsu, and the food contains: two sides (kimchi & cabbage), two sauces(Tonkatsu and mayonnaise sauce [ I think]), one cup of soup(like miso), small portion of rice and corn, and two pork cutlets. 3. I like the kimchi, but I like to eat the cabbage salad with the mayonnaise sauce. I didn’t pretty much like the Tonkatsu sauce because it tasted weird, or maybe I just didn’t like its taste. Rice and corn was good and the pork cutlet was crispy when I bought it, however, it was a little dry and not juicy enough imo(in my opinion). The miso soup was pretty good, maybe because I like these kinds of soup. Now you’ve reached the end. Thank you for reading!

I'm a big fan of Kimganae. Their menu offers a wide range of options, from ramen and rice dishes to traditional Korean fare. However, they're best known for their gimbap, also known as Korean rolls. Made fresh right in front of you, it's both delicious and filling--and very affordable!

J
John Tao

Awesome street food. They have a fairly large menu but most of it is variations of the main food items you want. My wife and I ordered the spicy tuna kimbap, apparently her favorite so I had to sample this “favorite”. Spoiler...it was pretty damn good. Next she ordered her second favorite the ddukboki, I told her to add some ramen noodles cause I mean noodles, you can’t lose. I ordered the beef kimchi fried rice, winner winner! We thoroughly enjoyed everything and can’t wait to come back. It’s the perfect place for lunch or even just to grab a quick dinner.

P
Pamela Day Verzonilla (Pam)

food here is yummy- i wouldn't say it's top tier, but great for the price. however i do highly recommend the spicy cream tteokbokki!

Used to stop by regularly during my high school days, the place has renovated since. Food still tastes the same. We ordered a kimganae kimbap, udon, and omurice - all classics but was expecting an upgrade in food experience considering the renovations and increase in price. Nonetheless, still happy with the food!

S
S B

Order the pork cutlet udon, it’s simple but delicious and filling. I like to add chili oil but did not get any this time. $14, it is a little expensive, menu prices have gone up I remember I would order this for $8.

Great food from multiple cuisines for not very much $! Would totally come back. The restaurant has multiple cultures, mostly Japanese and Korean. We had ordered kimchi fried rice with beef, bulgogi over rice and a bowl of udon with seafood. The portions are quite large and will most definitely fill you up. Would totally recommend this place!

W
Wilasinee

We stopped by because we were starving and didn’t want to walk any further in the cold! It turned out that the food was tasty and affordable, we only spent $23 on these meals. Would definitely come back to try another dish!

F
Francis Lam

I bought takeout and everything tasted really good, although I wouldn’t recommend getting the kimganae pork Katsu to go since it’s not as crunchy. (It tastes better when you eat there) I enjoyed the beef roll and Soondubu more than the combination roll. They gave me 2 side dishes of radish kimchi + 2 salads + 2 soups

V
Viviana G.

Food is affordable and generally great but waiters not as attentive as I am used to. Be careful if you come here expecting to fully pay in card because they only accept tip in cash. Also, they refuse to split billls

N
Nicholas Cheng

Pictured here is the Shrimp Tempura Udon, the Kimganae Special and the Pork Katsu. From what I can tell, I believe their gravy sauce is tomato based, it's not overly salty, and it has a nice sweetness to it. The special includes their Hamburg, pork Katsu and fish Katsu. I wish there was just a little bit more rice provided in these dishes, but that's just me liking rice. This restaurant is really popular with high school and college kids. It's affordable, quick and you can't go wrong with unlimited soup and radish kimchi. It's not the best Korean restaurant in Flushing but it's a solid meal.

F
Fariha Simran

I’ve been coming here since they opened the very FIRST time and it’s been a while to see this restaurant improve and do better. I don’t enjoy as much as I used to but it feels nostalgic to go back and try out new things they add. In times of inflation of course we see price raise a lot than compared to other korean restaurants nearby but again they’re known and have the popularity. But at the end of the day you get greeted by good service and the food is good as always!

Where do I even start? First and foremost the food was mind-blowing. First time trying kimbap and it was an experience. The fish katsu and the spicy tuna kimbap was phenomenal. Now on the other hand, the service was very poor. I felt unwelcomed and the servers were very off putting.

While the food is fresh, hot, and prepared quickly, the lunch special is the only way to really get the most bang for your buck. However, the lunch specials are available only from 12:00-2:00 PM.

Good spot to eat. Gets packed very quickly with take out orders. It's in a shopping area, so be sure to stop by when you have a moment. The spicy noodles were great and the rolls are satisfactory. I do wish these restaurants had better water, but I guess you can't have it all. The wait staff was professional and attentive. I'd recommend this as a quick eats place.

I used to really love this restaurant, the tuna roll is my favorite. And then I brought my friend yesterday . We also multiple roll(Kimbap) but then I realized the rest rolls are so awful, except the tuna roll. My friend ordered an eel roll, because eel is expensive and they don’t want the roll become too small, so they added a crab meat inside, which took the flavor of eel, and is no longer taste like a eel roll. And we also order a cheese rice cake, it’s not spicy and it’s too light, I would expect much stronger than it was. Pork cutlet is also very light. I expected much more than that. I will only come back for the tuna roll.

The food was amazing! I have been coming to Kimganae since I was in elementary school and their Pork Cutlet is always amazing! It was kind of cold where my friend and I were seated but the worker kindly moved us to the inner side once there were available seats! The service was decent since it's in mainstreet and gets quite busy. Definitely would recommend! Order their pork cutlet!!

This place is crowded and may have to wait if you go on weekends. The service was quick, price was reasonable, and food was tasty. The space is a bit tight though. Anyway, would recommend if you are around this area.

Great Korean street food spot...they make great kimbap and traditional Korean style noodle dishes. Seating and service is quick and efficient. Recommend for a quick bite. Atmosphere can be crowded and noisy at times due to tight spacing but overall great quality Korean cuisine.

The food is pretty decent. You get big portions. I really liked the soup they give you for free. The only complaint I have is the pork cutlets in my Udon could've been more flavorful. It didn't have any sauce or anything. Just eating it with the soup wasn't that good.

Been here twice so far. First time was last year and I got spicy pork over rice, my friends got their sweet potato pork cutlet and beef over rice. We all agreed the food was ok, nothing stood out and flavor kind of meshed together. Waiter was really nice, but because we were seated outside, it was difficult to get their attention. The assistance button didn't seem to work. Gave them another try recently, this time to go and I like my hamburger steak dish! The hamburger and sauce it came with was well seasoned.

I used to come here all the time but now it’s getting pricey. Personally, I love the beef gimbap; it used be like $5 but now they raised the prices. They also changed the beef gimbap by a perilla leaf; personally not a big fan of that. I used to always get the pork katsu with curry. The pork katsu was good but in my opinion, not crispy enough. The portion size is also decent.

While I love the fact that they have a lunch special menu with reasonable prices, the lunch special window is a mere 2 hours, from 12:00-2:00 PM. Also, while the portions are decent, I've noticed a decline in the quality of the chicken being used in its "over rice" dishes.

Korean staples. Friendly and fast service. Beef with baby octopus on rice was delicious. Sit down dining as well as order for take out.

Been going here since highschool I still like it but I feel like there food isnt satisfying me to 100% anymore. Also when did they start charging for a bowl of rice and the servers are silent and not the best attentive. Still have great soup though

Lovely dining-in experience, however as take out for a medium sized order (3-4 people) took an extended period of time- approximately 45 minutes. The bubble smoothies took the longest. Our favorites were coconut and mocha. Middle fav is strawberry and least favorite is pineapple. We wanted to try mango, but they were all out. I got the bibimbap which was okay, I wish I had opted for the hot curry dish. The veg and mushrooms were fresh, but the egg yolk didn't ooze much so they stayed cold and unflavored. The rice was hot. What I love about this place is their kimchi- they pickle and ferment Japanese radish.. It is so good. The complimentary soup is also both clear and salty, but good flavor. We also ordered the beef n irna (wrong spelling) and rumyun with beef dumplings. I was told that they were good, but not good enough to return for. Bubble smoothies and the radish kimchi are the two best things going for KimGaNae.

The food is okay, but don’t order it for takeout. I’ve ordered from this place many times through Uber, and anything with sauce or soup always spills. Their to-go containers just aren’t sealed properly.

I am not from Korea so not an expert at Korean food, but am very familiar with it. Now that I am done with th disclaimer, this restaurant did not impress me, the food was alright and the service not all of that. Will go back and order some order dishes before I write this one off.

Small Korean restaurant serving Korean staples. The menu has a variety of rice, noodle, rolls, some western etc. Prices are reasonable with cheaper prices during lunch hours if selected foods. Overall the food was alright, except the bibimbab - it wasn’t hot enough. Service was average, seating is terrible as there were too many tables squashed in.

A small and busy place, this eatery feels a little like a miniature food court but with cafe/restaurant service. The staffs were friendly and fast on their feet so it made the whole experience eating there good. Food was alright by my tastes. I just felt the omelette rice could be better, but the cheese tteokbokki was good.

ᄊア4_ズひ刀

foods great yet the ttoekbooki was more of a cabbage soup dish. the cabbage and carrots overfilled the dish and had very few of the fish tofu and the rice cake. unsatisfactory and i was basically making myself full from js cabbages and carrots. it tastes great but cmon, why am i eating just cabbages and carrots and like 18 pieces of rice cake for $10.50

Kimganae is one of my childhood spots I always visited with family and friends. Its been quite a while since I visited so I was excited to eat here with my cousin. We ordered the Cheese pork cutlet and the Pork cutlet kimbap. Sadly, today's meal was a little disappointing. The pork was order cooked and tough to cut/eat. For some reason the meal itself was a bit lukewarm all together. The pork cutlet kimbap was okay as well. I would love to come back again to try their other options but my to go choice for this restaurant has always been the classic cutlets dishes.

Visited here with some friends for lunch and we were greeted by very friendly staff. The atmosphere is nice and modern. The dishes we ordered were good but the soondubu had no flavor and no spice (I can't handle spicy food and it was fine for me). The octopus beef over rice was very sweet, too sweet in my opinion. The spicy tuna roll was good but you can literally think of American tuna but spicy and diced radish mixed inside. Overall my experience is okay for out first time. Willing to come back and try the other dishes as they have a big menu. There is even a section of the menu that is "light western"

First impression lasts! My first impression was that this restaurant is not a very friendly nor welcoming place. Would have gone to a different, more welcoming, Korean restaurant if it wasn’t for the rain. Upon entering this restaurant, the host/waiter is not very friendly nor welcoming and has an attitude. Indecisive about where to seat the customers. Very rude at first sight, and it definitely puts a damper on having or enjoying dinner here. Food is really below average. You can tell by the dishes served that there are NO love or passion put into their cooking. Preparations are rush from the non Korean kitchen staff to the table. It’s a cheap, non memorable Korean diner experience at best. Would not come back. 👎🏽

Restaurant is overcrowded and people are seated too close to one another. The last time I ordered food from here, the donkatsu was kind of hard and stale like it was old or left out for a while. Also, they give a comical amount of cubed kimchi and corn. Was disappointed by today's experience.

This is an usual spot for me. I love coming to this place because it's convenient. There's a large parking lot that is very cheap in NYC prices on the other side of the block. Service: The service has been lacking. Sometimes it's fantastic, sometimes it's slow. My last trip to this place, I've gotten horrible service. Once I ordered, they ignored me until I was ready to pay, no refills on water or anything. 3/10 Service Food: The food here is fantastic, I love eating kimbap and I return a lot to this place to get it. Some pictures don't match the food order's size, it's a lot smaller when you order it so you should make sure it's filling. 8/10 Food Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the place is okay. They rush cleaning the tables by just wiping everything on the floor. It would be better if they cleaned the tables better. 3/10

The food sucks. It is like canned or frozen food. I got pork cutlet while I think some of my dining mates got the fried fish rice plate. Price is reasonable but the quality suck so much that it felt expensive.

Really wish I can give this place more stars, I fell in love when I came to dine in, portions were enormous and well worth the price. This time I ordered take out and honestly the packaging they decided to use was hilarious. How could someone think it’s okay to use these generic tinfoil to go pans for stew/soup type meals?! Everything spilled out!! Also compared to the portions that we get when dining in, this was truly a slap in the face. Never ordering takeout from here again, so disappointed I don’t think I’ll come back to dine in too.

For the most part I enjoyed the meal, it was pretty standard. However, with closer inspection I noticed a hair in my tuna roll that I was trying to enjoy after a long hardworking day. Then I looked at the remaining pieces left and there were 2 more hairs that I found. I am appalled by this discovery and severely disappointed because I was under the impression that this establishment took their hygiene seriously. None of the workers who prepared my food wore hair nets, their hair was only tied up carelessly. The picture I attached is the third hair that I found.

I will not spend another dime here after two major incidents. I’m not sure if they tell waiters to be extra rude if the customers look young and are less likely to tip. I came with a friend and when we got the bill and paid, a different waiter comes from the front and asks our waiter if we tipped enough AS WE ARE STILL STANDING THERE AND GETTING UP TO LEAVE. First of all, that is beyond unprofessional and we should have even asked for the damn tip back. The final incident that left a bad taste forever is when i got take out but we were too hungry to wait to go back home so we ended up eating inside the outdoor tent. Mind you it was at an off time and there was hardly anyone inside eating and no one in the tent. A worker immediately comes out and tells us we have to get out. Oh yes scared of no tip? I will never patronize here again and have told many people about what happened. With so many competition in Flushing you should at least pretend to care a bit.

I just ordered and pickup baby octopus, chicken over rice, squid over rice, bibinbap, cheese tokpogi, spicy tuna and chicken roll. When I came back home and opened the bags to take out the food, the side dish, salad and sauce for the bibinbap were missing. The packaging of the food was also very messy in the bags. I have been a long time customer of this place but in the last year or so, the food is still good but the service has been going from bad to worse. With incomplete orders like this, I'm thinking of looking for a new place.

Come for the free soup and leave. Food was bland and had no flavor. Hamburger steak tasted like meatloaf. The fish cutlet tasted like bread crumbs and pork chop had no taste. Wouldn't even recommend the restaurant to my worst enemy.

This place has went downhill, flavor is not as good as before, No taste of sesame oil at all, cheap ingredients( squid was old, not fresh). No soul in the food anymore. I wish they would bring back the ahjummas.

The food was really good until I found a hair in my rice… it’s definitely not my hair because it’s pretty thin and short while I have long hair.Theres also a very minimal amount of rice. it’s like someone took an ice cream scooper to the rice and plopped a sad little ball onto the plate. The beans aren’t good either, it’s watery and tasteless. The curry has good flavor and the pork is juicy so it’s still a 2/5 on food.

I ordered $100 worth of food from this place for takeout and the amount of food I was given was appalling to say the least. I have eaten inside the restaurant before and the portions were not this bad, like the food I got was half normally what they served if you were to sit and eat there. All the circular containers were over $15 (ridiculous if you see just how much I got), the sauce for the japanese pork cutlet I ordered was sour for some reason, and to top that, the only shrimp inside the soondubu wasn't even cleaned properly. I guess because I picked up the food instead of eating inside they thought they could just scam me out of my money and give me essentially leftover like portions.
