Opinions de Nepali Momo Albans
Love this tiny cozy spot. Come here every time back from Laguardia. The Johl is my fave- perfectly seasoned and a comforting heat. Owners are fantastic- very sweet couple, and their friends stop by to hang- and root for this small place to keep making it! Love it here. Oh and love their hot sauces.
Delicious food and very nice people. I always love coming here. I’d recommend ordering a lot of different things because everything they serve is great
Amazing momos, we come all the way from the upper east side every time and dine in and then take an order to go home for later. It's also clear to tell that the kitchen staff and server are all very hardworking people. The cilantro momo sauce is my favorite
Nepali Momo Cafe in Jackson Heights is a gem. The jhol momos were delicious, and the achar was absolutely amazing — full of flavor and authenticity. The service was great and truly made it feel like you were in Nepal. The Didi there was so sweet and friendly, which made the experience even better. I recommend this place to my friends every time they’re in Jackson Heights. A must-visit!
The C momo was very yummy. Tea and seltoru also good. Friendly and courteous staffs. Overall sitting area and vibe not fancy but great taste. Definitely recommend this place.
I ate at Nepali Momo Cafe for the first time just a few days ago. The location is very convenient, the staff is very friendly, and most importantly, the food is fantastic! I ordered the Nepali chicken chow mein and the jhol momo, and they were fantastic! Oh, and the mango lassi was the tastiest I've ever had. I'll be back!
It’s 10pm and the customer traffic is still at peak. During my meal they had to tell two sets of new customers that there are no more tables. My chicken thali is delicious. It comes with a variety of items and flavors. They kept checking if I actually need anything more and offered to add rice. Very caring and attentive. One customer there was chilling for a long time after done and they just let him relax in peace while the restaurant traffic is busy. Such patience and respect for customers. The Nepali hospitality really impressed me. Of course the food is amazing. Will come again to try other menu items.
Great! Amazing!! Tasty Nepali Authentic food!!! We had chicken thali. Everything was so good. Prices are very affordable and this seems like a favorite place for the locals. And of course it’s for a reason: Great service with Authentic Nepali Taste. Definitely going back again and again.😊
We came to Nepali Momo cafe for lunch and ordered the chicken thali set, fried rice, and fried momo. The food is really good, like homemade comfort meals. The prices are very affordable, and the lady running the counter and kitchen was super friendly, even checking if we needed more for the thali set. If I lived nearby, I’d happily eat here every day. Judging by the regulars coming in, this place seems to be a local favorite.
Tiny charming hole in the wall but very welcoming! The Momos made from here are absolutely delicious. So comforting and flavorful! They provide a good amount of food for the cheap price, and the momo tastes even better if you eat it later as leftovers! I will definitely be back again when i’m around.
Small Nepali style cafe with good vibes and great food at great price too. I tried selroti with chatani, chiya (tea), khasi ko bhutuwa and jhol momo. Don’t have big space and might have to wait but the food tastes so good, its worth waiting. Khasi bhutuwa, momo, sel roti, mango lassi, chicken, chowmein, everything was great. My favorites are khasi ko bhutuwa and chicken chowmein. Though it’s name has momo in it, jhol momo was okay, not great. Kima was not well cooked and proportionated. They have wide variety of sauce options. The staffs are friendly as well. They have other great food options too including chat patey, wai wai sadheko (superb tasty), thali, khaja set( not so great), momo varieties and so on. Been here multiple times.
Great little spot for a mid-week dinner, especially if you like momos. It is tiny with only three tables but I didn’t have any problems. The service was super friendly and the food was excellent! I started with the wai wai sodheko, a dish I’ve not had before and it was so good. Like a crunchy instant noodle salad with lots of spices. And then the chef chili momos - also really good. And everything was really inexpensive. I’ll be back!
everything i ordered was so so good!!! The portions are great and super filling, spent around $50 for two people including tip and ended up taking half of it home :D definitely a smaller space with close-together seating. i felt slightly out of place at first (some other customers were staring) but the server was so friendly and attentive :)) im gonna dream about this place until i go back LOL. My favs were the chana chapatne and the pani puri, they were both so addicting,, other details: there’s a button to call the server to order more food, they accept Apple Pay, they give bottles of sauce if u order momos (but i had to share mine with other tables), there’s a small bathroom, and i think people eat downstairs by default (?)
Amazing momos. The fried beef one was better than the soup chicken one but both super good. The chicken biryanis also great
I tried the chicken jhol momos at this restaurant recently, and unfortunately, they fell much short of expectations. The momos themselves lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for, and the jhol, which should bring a tangy, savory punch, was surprisingly bland. Compared to the jhol flavor at Nepali Bhanchha Ghar, these just didn’t have the same richness or satisfying tanginess that makes jhol momos so comforting. I also tried their sel roti, and it was another letdown. It was quite hard and didn’t taste as fresh as it should. Overall, the dishes here were lacking in the bold, vibrant flavors that I associate with authentic Nepali cuisine. The dining area is extremely small and cramped. There’s barely any room to sit comfortably, which made it clear that dining in just isn’t worth it. On the plus side, the service was very quick, but honestly, I would’ve preferred waiting longer if it meant the food had more flavor. The speed couldn’t make up for the lack of taste.
We stopped here for Nepali food while visiting New York. The place is small but charming. We ordered chicken chilli momo and bhutan. The momo was very dry, as it was over-fried, and the bhutan was just alright. Overall, the experience was too mediocre for us to return. However, the service was good.
So, I just ordered chilly momo veg , I am pure vegetarian and I called them and asked to make sure they don’t cook the momo in same batch with the non-veg ones and they said “yes we dont cook” but today when I opened the box and was heating the food I was shocked I literally found pieces of meat tjere was 3 piece of meat not inside the filling but outside like 3 big chunks. When you say you are serving vegetarian options then please serve veg first order not good experience never recommend eating veg here.
