Tip: The fruit pancakes are a hit, especially the banana, strawberry, and blackberry version. Chocolate banana pancakes are less favored due to the use of chocolate syrup instead of chips.

Opinions de Pink Forest Albans
My uncle eats and has drinks at this place almost everyday and all I hear about is the good service and how good the food is. My uncle was unfortunately laid off and visited everday until moving permanently to Florida. They were very compassionate and friendly which helped my uncle in so many ways. We highly recommend this lil gem and I cant to try the rose tea he talked a out
This place is really cute and a nice little coffee shop to hang out either with a close friend or by yourself. Definitely a chill vibe. The food was good; interesting to say the least, but good. I had the breakfast Jiang Bing with bacon. It was something new and satisfying. I really loved the hot bubble tea they had. That was my favorite.
Dined in with a friend to get breakfast. I wasn’t a fan of the butter pancakes. But it was edible. The Apple pie was really good and their pastries like croissants are top notch. I’d recommend. The bubble thai iced tea was only ok. I think i got too much ice. Customer service was A+. I’d reccomend
Delicious food and plenty of options to choose from. Both the Jian Bing and Banh Mi are great choices. Great ambiance too! The staff are incredibly polite and kind. Would definitely recommend as a go to place for a bite and coffee. Spicy could be spicier
One of my favorite cafes to visit in my neighborhood at Forest Hills, Lulu and C are the most hospitable and sweetest people I ever came across when comes to dining. The decor is very quirky, quaint yet feels so comfortable and homey. Thier rose tea is to die for and their Jian Bing sandwich is awesome...😋 so check it out!...👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Cozy and clean. Consistently yummy. Courteous, too!
Cute little cafe with good beverages. I haven't tried any of the food though I would think it's good. I would choose this place over Starbucks. It has a very nice atmosphere if you're going to sit in. Will come again.
Great atmosphere (music, friendly staff, food, coffee, tea). If you need a quick bite or want a good coffee/tea, you should stop in.
This is one of my favorite cafes in Queens. The service is great and so are the options for food. If you’re looking for a good place to work this is it! #Educator
This cafe instantly became my happy place! The friendly staff handle even rude customers with professionalism. The coffee is the best I’ve ever had – smooth and rich. The pancakes were fluffy and topped with fresh berries. The cozy ambiance and charming decor make it hard to leave. Can’t wait to return and try more!
I love their avocado sandwich with an added egg. My boyfriend loves a BEC on a croissant from here. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Great food.
I walk past this place often so one day decided to randomly stop in and order some bubble tea. Not only had I never drank bubble tea but they had to explain the concept to me lol I AM HOOKED! I have been drinking the cold taro bubble tea, it is delicious and the service is always professional and pleasant. It's a nice, relaxing, cozy atmosphere, so I never mind having to wait for my taro bubble tea :)
Affordable options, really enjoyed their avocado, tomato and cheese omelette. Will be coming back.
I only hesitate to leave a review because I don’t want to lose out on a seat! But I have to chime in, this place is nothing short of excellent. The service is great, the food is marvelous! The jian bing, bahn mi, other sandwiches, shrimp dumplings, pumpkin pie, and tiramisu, ALL EXCELLENT! Haven’t had the omelette but many people order it and seem to enjoy it. Have only had the strawberry green tea, snow coffee, Thai tea, and cafe au lait but I love those items as well. Pink Forest is a gem, cozy ambience with fresh food and yummy drinks! Just save me a seat, please 🙏🏻
On my adventures of cafe hopping, I came across the Pink Forest quite early on. I would say, across the board this cafe is great. From the mugs that the coffee is served it, reminding me of being comfortable at home, to the work friendly environment, this cafe has it all. I ordered the bacon and cheese omelette and a black coffee and I enjoyed it thoroughly. There was ample seating with people coming and going throughout the morning. The one thing to note if you are looking for a place to work/study - this cafe does have a time limit if it gets super busy. So if you come and it’s busy, be aware after 2 hours you might have to leave. I stayed for about 2/2.5 hours before I packed up and made my way elsewhere. I can’t wait to return and enjoy experience there.
I used to frequent this place when it first opened. I recently went back while visiting the area and loved it just as much. The ambiance is great, the employees are friendly, and all menu items (they have a bunch of new ones that I have not tried) are delicious and worth the price. The cappuccinos and lattes are really well made. My favorite menu items were always the rose tea and the freshly-made omelets. Both are really delicious.
Pink forest is about excellent coffee and tea in a cute and charming environment. This is by far among the better coffee houses in New York City, which makes very good robust coffee and latte (with cute latte art), a nice variety of tea, with good seating. The food is good with modest choices of brunch type offerings, but better than the competition with some healthy choices and fresh pie. It is not five star in the food - that is coffee. This is a good non-chain store option.
Needs more steating, but food was good. Chai latte was delicious
Ordered the avocado sandwich from here and added bacon to it and it was so great and the perfect temperature. The staff was so nice and the owner went above and beyond. The food was good and it was a short wait time. First time eating here and it definitely won’t be my last.
Great place! My first time here today and love it! Got a Northern Chinese Traditional dish (180 years of history) called JianBing. Absolutely light, healthy and delicious! Got regular one to taste all the flavors but next time I'll add more things... the menu is great! I also got Bubble Tea (Japanese Green tea) delicious but small.. It was soooooo good!!! Overall a pleasant experience. I'll definitely come back to try other dishes. They have a great variety! All looks great to me.
I love this place. I come here all the time to study the coffee is amazing tho I haven’t tired the food.
I got a spicy Jianbing (with ham) and a taro bubble tea. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced! There seemed to be a great selection of goods on the menu, from pastries and sandwiches. The staff was super kind and friendly, too and my order only took a few minutes. This place works for a grab and go or to sit down for a bit to hang out. Only bummer is that there isn't too much seating inside since the place is fairly small, but I was still able to find a spot. When I'm back in the neighborhood I'd definitely love to come back. Also, for customers, there is a bathroom which was a huge plus! Highly recommend.
I love this spot, they have great tea/coffee and the jian bing is so good
The coffee was very good and the service was friendly and polite. And really, the taste of the spicy chicken bahn mi was unexpected! What kind of bread was that? What a pleasant surprise! This was my wife's go-to spot with her friends but she never recommended we go together. Now I see why. She wanted to keep this gem to herself. The breakfasts and other lunches are good too but that sandwich!
Cute lil cafe to get some work done. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Tried the jian bing, pretty good.
It's a cute place, with a fusion American/Asian menu. There's something for everyone, from Chinese JaBing to boba to Ban Mi to standard American breakfast fare. The staff are so quick and attentive! Enjoyed the Rose Latte (a blend of both coffee and rose petals, neither overpowering each other), Papaya Smoothie (boba was nice and chewy, drink itself was silky and wasnt too sweet), and shrimp dumplings (they look like har gow but didn't taste like har gow, but were decent).
I remember commuting to a co-working space on Austin street after my move to long island. Those were fun times. There was this cafe on the corner where I had almond croissants and tofu ban mi sandwiches. Delicious!
Beautiful Vietnamese breakfast nook in Forest Hills, Queens. Delightful and friendly servers. The ambiance is cozy and warm. I arrived at 10:00AM and ordered a vegetable sandwich with chicken, no mayo, honey mustard with a fresh cup of Guatemalan, Ethiopian and Nigerian coffee mixed for a superb blend at the front counter. Wow! Wow! A delightful addition to Queens, New York's classy, up and coming vibrant neighborhood. Enjoy. Good people. They offer classic Vietnamese breakfasts so you are in for a fantastic treat.
I passed by this store today, and when I went in, I found that the interior decoration was very good. I ordered a cup of coffee and a croissant with bacon, cheese, and eggs, ham, avocado, unexpectedly delicious, the price is also good, and the waiter is very nice. I will come here again next time.
Took my wife for valentines breakfast yesterday, found them on google bye typing in “pink cafe” lol I actually was looking for a different spot but this caught my eyes and we took the drive from our house 30min worth the drive. The coffee and breakfast were delicious and fresh! The location had decent space to sit and eat and place was clean all around. Service was efficient. Only thing I’d would have liked was fresh bananas, this could be solely my opinion, but the bananas did not taste so fresh to me. The artwork on food and beverages were too tier! I’d highly recommend the spot
Such a cute café and great food. Love the fruit pancake (banana, strawberry, blackberry) and their syrup is really sweet and good. Chocolate banana pancake isn't as good since it's chocolate syrup instead of chips. BLT is on a baguette like a bahm mi, pretty standard and good. Bacon Egg and Cheese bagel is great, bagel was so soft and warm with good quality ingredients. Love the fresh fruit drink (strawberry and orange juice).
Adorable little coffee shop Just went there for the first time. Ordered an iced pineapple green tea, which came perfectly sweet and in a pineapple shaped cup, and a ham bahn mi, which was more like bologna but delicious nonetheless. Place is super cute and pink and feels very homey, will absolutely go again.
Really love coming here when I’m in Forest Hills. Today we ordered an iced white mocha, snow coffee, bacon egg cheese croissant and a regular jian bing. I noticed from the several times that I’ve been here, a popular item that is ordered are their pancakes. I’ll have to try it next time. The locals in this area are chill and family friendly. I love stopping by Pink Forest to pick up some breakfast and it can get crowded at times on the weekend…But that’s a good sign! Expect to wait up to 10 mins for your order but it’s not a setback when you know what to expect and for delicious coffee and food. It’s become more popular over the years and always a pleasure stopping by.
This cafe is super adorable and I love the food options tho I didn’t have food this time. I had the snow coffee, which was enjoyable, though the tea taste was much more potent than anticipated. The barista was lovely and helpful. My one note is that the two coffees took a bit long to come out which surprised me. I wasn’t in a rush so was chill, but a person that is on a schedule might feel otherwise.
I had great coffee and a delicious bagel at Pink Forest. The decoration and vibe of the place are both really cute. The people who worked there were super nice and attentive. I went there with my family and I tried a sip of some of their drinks; everything was delicious. Pink Forest is a cute spot with a friendly staff and delicious food.
I have been going to this coffee shop ever since it opened. The staff are super friendly and nice. The only thing i dont understand is the tolerance that this bussiness shows to the customers who go there and stay hours with their laptops while consuming a coffee for 2-3 hours. It is ridiculous. It is a small caffee and the laptops shouldnt even be allowed.3 people came to have breakfast today and they left because half of the seats were taken from the laptop addicts.I'm not sure if the owner knows what is going on but if you are loosing 100 bucks over someone who is spending 5-6 bucks and takinv the whole table for 2 hours then you need to revisit your business goals.
Great comfortable atmosphere. They seem to be going through some growing pains on the service side, but everything I've had here is delicious! Iced coffee was good (although a little on the small side for a medium), hot coffee was good, Dirty Chai Latte was really good, blueberry muffin was very rich, Chicken Bahn Mi was amazing!! I'm not local, but I visit the area regularly and will definitely be back because I need my coffee and that Bahn Mi is calling my name. Not only was it delicious, but it held up really well as an on-the-run lunch.
Cozy little coffee shop where you can get coffee and grab a bite. Austin street is a great location, so stop by here if you’re tired of Starbucks. I see a lot of people with laptops, but the time is limited to two hours per purchase. They have a wide selection of beverages and snacks.
The vibe was immaculate, very cute. I ordered a simple toasted bagel with butter and jelly. The bagel was soaked, and instead of spreading the butter, they placed three knobs of butter in-between and let it melt. The bagel and I were messy after one bite. I'm sure the other menu options are better, so I encourage trying more East/Southeast Asian menu items.
UPDATE: WEDNESDAY, JULY 12, 2023, 8:29PM: I do not go to Forest Hills as often as I once did, but when I do, I love stopping in at the Pink Forest. The food is always good, and so are the beverages. I was told that the cafe would close at 7:30PM tonight, although the hours posted indicate that it would close at 8PM tonight. I seem to recall this having been the case, during a previous visit. So, I think it is safe to say that, although the posted hours are that the the Pink Forest shall close at 8PM, Monday through Friday, there might be at least weeknight at which it shall close at 7:30PM. UPDATE: SUNDAY, JUNE 26, 2020: It was my pleasure to return to Pink Forest for the first time in more than almost three years yesterday, Saturday, June 25, 2022. It makes me happy to see a business, especially during the early days of the first wave of the ongoing covid19 pandemic--especially an Asian-owned business--continue to have open doors. When I was there yesterday evening, I had a hot coffee (being Cuban, I cannot imagine drinking iced coffee) and a BLT. In fact, the last time I had a BLT was sometime in late 2019 and it was from Pink Forest. I also find it refreshing to see there are some people in the food service industry continuing to wear face coverings while serving the establishment's patrons. Incidentally, the lovely lady informed me that the paper menu still accurately reflects what Pink Forest serves, but the prices have changed. The staff was friendly and professional. My first time was a good time. I had a white chocolate coffee, which had a naturally sweet and subtle white chocolate flavor. I also had a BLT which was very well made. They clearly and accurately Intuited my personal tastes, because mine had mayonnaise and onions, too, and I love both!! The bathroom was very clean; and speaking of the bathroom, the left side has the toilet, and the right side has the sink. PLEASE REMEMBER to step DOWN to go from the toilet side to the sink side. I look forward to returning.
If you think when you're ordering the sausage that you'll get sausage patties or links you're wrong. Their sausage is actually Hot Dog. I think it should be named correctly but some customers are not fans of hot dogs .
Here you’ll find delectable jian bing wraps both savory and sweet, customizable to your heart’s content. There are also banh mi’s and pancakes made to order. The coffee pairs well with it all and is served with a smile. The atmosphere is cute. Could use a little refresh but it’s all homey and sweet. I also love that when you stay, the coffee comes in ceramic mugs, and the food is served on eclectic dish ware.
I enjoyed my BLT and the friendly service. food and drinks are brought to your table on plates/in mugs. my iced coffee did seem tiny, even for a small size. overall it was nice for a quick bite. i’d like to try their pancakes next.
There isn’t much “forestry” to be found within the Pink Forest cafe; perhaps the name refers instead to the profusion of dishes that fail to register as a cohesive offering. While its heart and soul clearly lie with Asian staples like Jian Bing and Banh Mi sandwiches to be eaten with tea that they claim calms the mind, it is curious that they also offer American fare such as pancakes and the like. It is a capable but a hodgepodge of a cafe, one wonders why they don’t choose a name that exudes its true sentiment—Vietnamese Cafe? Maybe I am mistaking the forest for the trees ? Or whatever that silly expression is !
Cute cafe with nice cozy atmosphere. It’s a little on the disheveled side of cafes but it’s quaint and charming in its own way. They offer regular cafe qrinks as well as boba and teas. They also have food options and treats. It’s a very homey spot. It’s nice to sit by the window and people watch and enjoy the day. They have outdoor seating during the warmer months that are very nice. I enjoyed and recommend a visit when you’re in the area if you are looking for a lowkey place to study or read.
What can I say about scrambled eggs, bacon plain potatoes and toast. The rye toast seemed homemade, which was good, but was barely buttered and dry. Four slices of bacon is too much, threw out half. Wasn't worth $15 ish dollars.
Really cute spot for coffee, tea, and breakfast. For vegetarians/kosher diners, please order carefully. I ordered the regular jian bing and added cheese, assuming this was vegetarian based off the menu item description. I was asked if I wanted to make it spicy, which I said yes, to find that there were bits of pork within the pepper sauce. Until this unwanted surprise, my experience was pleasant.
Okay place but the lack of organization and efficiency frustrated us and other customers. The line to order already took a while and then we waited so long for our food that we had to take our food with us to the movies because we almost missed the beginning of our movie (and we arrived to pink forest ahead of time). The food was okay and my drink was okay but overall we expected a better experience and food.
This is my one of the worst almond milk lattes I've had, very bad taste, not creamy, I don't know if it's problem whit the coffee or the milk or the person making the coffee, but for $7 it should be much better quality!
I ordered a bacon avocado omelet, overall it was ok. Thin omelet but it was packed like a mountain. Was given plastic fork and knives instead of metal utensils, kind of disappointing. Time to serve the food was quite long, 20 so minutes and its been like this for a while. It was $13 for the omelet so I would say the prices aren't very worthwhile.
Cute little coffee shop on Austin, great for work and a quick bite. The menu offers an interesting selection, from American breakfast staples to Chinese jianbing and Vietnamese sandwich. The food was ok, nice refreshing slushy. I did not appreciate the rudeness of the staff though, for some reason they decided that the bathroom can be used by paying customers, yet they allowed my husband to access it while they started banging on the door when I was in there washing my hands.
This place has an amazing atmosphere and great food. However, something is up with how they make their coffee. I ordered a single shot americano and it tasted extremely weak - 25% of the strength I am used to. They kindly offered to give me a second shot, but that only improved the strength to 50%. Please reconsider how you are pulling shots on the espresso machine - they are way too weak and take away from the potential of this cafe. FYI this is the third time I have visited. Every time the coffee is weak.
Have been here a few times with mixed reviews for me. Service has always been great. Enjoyed sitting there with our hot beverages. Quiet and relaxing. Iced drinks have tasted watered down. Didn't get it again but when I had jianbing, it was just ok but not the same as we've had from Flushing, Bklyn. Recently, my family had pancakes- have had better, just different toppings on plain pancakes, which were dry/not fluffy ie Fruit pancakes just had fruits; banana chocolate had choc syrup and bananas; cinnamon had cinnamon powder. I always liked their mugs and plates though. Near 71st Continental Ave subway and LIRR Forest Hills stops. Buses nearby too. On busy Austin St with metered street parking, though not easy to get a spot
The few times I cam here to get coffee and get some work done, the front door is left open for hours and the cold wind comes into the cafe. I started bringing a sweater but my hands are freezing cold and I can't get any work done. I asked for a to go cup when I get coffee because the drink does not stay warm. I understand they need to open the door to release the smell of cooking food but then the door is left open for hours and its too cold to get work done.
Disappointing experience. While COVID required changes, service is very disappointing. Prices too high. An order of toast consists of one slice of mediocre bread, wrapped in foil, not toasted - all for $2.50 ! Cinnamon pancakes were good but served barely warm $8.95. I don’t plan to return anytime soon.
I ordered oatmeal with a banana and was charged double the price to add the banana. Seriously? I was then served cold oatmeal soup in a cup. The oats hadn’t soaked any of the liquid and were still hard. I won’t be back.
Unfortunately their desserts are from the Costco bakery. I saw it being delivered and I know that store made taste from anywhere. Customers here should know what they are paying for because it certainly isn't worth the cost. I won't be returning.
This cafe is very charming and has so much potential. The location is perfect to sit outside and have your coffee, however it needs improvement! Coffee is so bad it’s offensive. Watered down lattes and burnt coffee beans. The overhead menu can also use some loving, it could be more legible, less busy, and categorized better. I would love to see this place improve as the coffee competition in forest hills are getting tighter. They could definitely learn some coffee skills from la Boulangerie down the block.
Hello neighbors This place Has a lady at the counter that is literally standing at her square POS and up selling each person that walks in to the business You can walk in and say hi good morning can I get a bacon egg & cheese on a croissant and the lady is going to try her best to charge you $1.50 -$ on extras You order a Chai latte and she wants to sell you shots of Expresso Today I walked in and asked for a simple chai latte with an bacon and egg croissant was charged $18 Horrible croissant the cheapest restaurant depot bacon they could find and definitely over cooked eggs and a shabby slice of lettuce. The worst breakfast ever This is predatory They assume well this is Forest hills so let me over charge the community Pink forest listen to me I'm a business owner invest your $ in high quality bacon uncured if possible, organic eggs, solid locally baked croissants clean up your work station fix the soap holder above your sink and diversify your staff If you are going to sell $18-$20 breakfast at least serve the community good quality. Neighbors take my advice you are better off at the French bakery 1 block away across from the church or grabbing a solid breakfast sandwich from a local deli even McDonald's is better than this place.
To be honest , coffee here is pretty bad, atmosphere of the place like colors , location is good , BUT customer service is SO COLD , I used to go there but just because I order a coffee and no food they are quick to rush me saying about the 2 hours ! Customer service is not kind , not welcoming , I could get a warmer service by a Robot.
Watered down coffee, stale bagel. Good location tho, has potential to be a cute local cafe.
DO NOT get your decaf americano here.! It was tasteless, pale and a waste of my $4.75 for a small size. The barista said it looks and taste like that because its decaf. C’mon do not convince your customer to accept a below average coffee. They tried to fix it and it taste even worst!!
does anyone speak English here? coffee is watery and tastes cheap. no vegetarian food. stopped in out of curiosity. The Red Pipe across the street reminds me of The Village in Manhattan. very comfy, friendly, great staff, and the food is top quality. btw, the coffees are superb!
I previously wrote a good review for this coffee shop, however today I was disappointed. I made a mistake and spilled my coffee just after receiving it. They did quickly clean it up but instead of asking if I'd like a replacement they did not. When I asked for a replacement I was asked to pay for it. I found this a bit silly for drip coffee. Especially when it is also up charged. Shortly after they brought out my neighbors food and put it on front of me. I did not touch it and then they asked my neighbor if she wanted them to remake it. She did not, but I found it absurd that they would remake an entire plate of food and not replace a drip coffee. Very disappointed in this. Also, my egg omelet was dry and when they put the cheese on top it is not melted and it also tastes dry. I do not like writing one star reviews, especially for a place I normally go to, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth both literally and figuratively.
I hate that I'm making this post, but today was a final straw and after many incidents I do feel the need to warn my neighbors. I never Bash businesses.... I went to Pink Forest a LOT.... I went often with my almost 3 year old after her dance class. I would spend money. Approx $20-$25 weekly on lunch there.... one day about 3 months ago my daughter was having a moment and knocked a plate on the floor and it broke. It was an accident. She's almost 3. It happened once.... also as someone who worked in the restaurant industry for 12 years I know things break. It's the cost of doing business. Well the people at Pink Forest decided this wasn't ok.... to the point they'd shame us and mention something about it almost every time I went back since. I felt so uncomfortable. I'd never treat a customer this way. My kid goes out a lot. No other establishment has ever treated us this way. One day they even passive aggressively gave me my lunch in a to go.... and when I said "Oh This is for here" they say.... well your kid broke one of our plates..... today was the final straw. My daughter and I were in line and she was lightly tapping on the container they keep their drinks. The lady yelled at me! "That's very breakable! That's expensive!" She was tapping And I called her on it and she doubled down. I decided to leave. I had kept going against my better judgement because friends we like to dine with like the place. I kept going cause they had a bathroom.... but enough is enough. Things break. That's the cost of doing business.... and let's be real. None of their plates match. None of their mugs match. I used to find it charming. If an adult knocked a plate and it fell they wouldn't have the audacity to shame them for it. It's not a big deal... or shouldn't be.... as with any restaurant will tell you.... things break. The place is not family friendly. There are too many other cafes in the area to give this place business. I really am not one to write these things and I'm not hiding behind some anonymous post, just know how this place feels about mothers and kids. And I'm editing to counter the lies of this establishment who replied to my review below.... ***We ALWAYS cleaned up after ourselves. Nice try. What decorations in the restroom? Our friend's kid had an accident once on the floor when she was there with us and her kid was potty training.... not my child... and no one ever bullied her when she came back with or without us. ***** My daughter got a macaron... and I got a sandwich or jain Bing and beverage, and sometimes fruit..... I shared everything with her so asked for a small plate to dine in when we were eating there.... I spent approx $20-$25 each visit.... and our friend didn't say anything about a to go container. You did. My kid tapped on some plastic. For 2 swconds. Your account is absolutely not what happened. Nice try. I NEVER leave reviews. This is insane bullying and I look forward to telling everyone how you treat people.
This place was a disappointment. Been wanting to try out this place for a while. Finally had a chance. The hot chocolate was the worst. It was mostly muddy water. The brownie was good, but it was too small. We waited a little too long for our order. At least they let you use the bathroom while you wait but still.
Waited 40 minutes for a smoothie, an omelette, and a bagel — ridiculous. I ordered a toasted bagel with butter and ham and got half a slice of ham for $2. The bagel was dryer than the Sahara desert, definitely not fresh. Toasted? Not really — just stale and hard. The butter wasn’t spread, just slapped on in chunks. Honestly gross and depressing. If you’re going to offer bagels, at least make sure they aren’t old. Never coming back.
