Opinions de Ugly Roce Donuts & Corn Dogs Albans
I walked into Ugly Donuts & Corn Dogs expecting something—well—ugly. Like a donut that’s seen some things or a corn dog with an identity crisis. Instead, I was instead greeted by adorable, little donuts that were soft and delicious. If these donuts are ugly, then I’ve been lied to my whole life. The corn dog was a total hit too—crispy on the outside, cheesy on the inside, and the sauce combo the employee recommended was next-level good. Friendly staff, great vibe, and food that makes you instantly happy. Will definitely be back for another “ugly” experience!
I found ugly donuts and corndogs on DoorDash, while trying to look for a shop that sold Korean corn dogs (it’s one of my favorites). I ordered it, and it came pretty fast! I loved the buldak seaweed mozza corn dog (mozzarella- sausage corn dog). When I first ordered it, there was a mountain of seaweed on top of the corn dog when I took it out of the packaging. I didn't really like all the seaweed, so I scraped most of it off. But once I tasted the corn dog itself I was in heaven. The stretchiness of the cheese, the crispy exterior, and the spiciness made me very happy. I was very happy with the order, and the service! I am sad they took it off the menu recently, but I’m willing to try other items! 10/10 :D
This is my favorite place. The corn dogs are my favorite and I definitely recommend getting a mozzarella one!! The corn dogs are very high service. I have never gotten bad service. I always come here when I’m in Forest Hills I definitely recommend coming if you’re looking for a good treat in NY!
It’s a very fattening spot… delivers exactly as promised: ugly donuts and corn dogs. Same taste as every other corn dog place I’ve been to in the US. Very tasty and high calorie, many options for the filling (I like the half mozzarella one) and toppings. The Nutella banana donut was very sweet and messy - I took 2 bites and declared completion. After only 3/4 of a corn dog and 2 bites of the donut I was overly full. Not a great choice for an afternoon light snack, but maybe one for a full lunch
I love this location. It reminds me being back in South Korea. The customer service is great and the corn dogs are amazing. The options for desert is great. Having one corn dog will fill you up so choose one wisely haha. I usually get the corn dog with beef and cheese. There are tables and seats and I was able to get one. I been to other locations like the one in NJ. However, whenever I am in Queens, Forest Hills location is it for me.
This place is amazing! First off the place is really clean. Their corndogs, if ordered with cheese, have the perfect sausage to cheese ratio. (Sorry for getting so technical with food.) They taste amazing and the presentation was great. Their drinks like the passionfruit lemonade tastes great and it's made from real fruit. Their donuts taste amazing as well. Service was great. No compliants here. This is a great place.
Ugly Donuts and Corn Dogs in Forest Hills is a great spot to hang out and grab some unique Korean-inspired corn dogs. I tried the Dynamite, which was described as spicy, and it definitely had a kick! But it wasn't overwhelmingly hot; it had a nice sweetness to it as well. Their corn dogs are definitely bigger than your average corn dog, so you feel like you're getting your money's worth. Plus, they have a huge selection of drinks and desserts to choose from, making it a perfect place for a treat.
The donut was so delicious! I got it delivered as a little Thanksgiving treat and it came in no time and was so good! Sweet but not too sweet and the cream is perfection! I got the strawberry cream donut and it’s not disappoint! Been wanting to try this place for a while and so happy I did! Definitely will be back to get a corn dog and try other flavors of donuts!
DELICIOUS! Everything from the drinks, to the donuts, to the hot dogs, tasted amazing. This was my first time here and as an fyi, definitely expect a bit of a wait. Food is made fresh upon order so you definitely have to order ahead of time. I waited a little over 30 min for my 3 donuts, hot dogs, and a drink but it was worth it. Workers were also very nice. Worth a try!
what a cute shop!! Good selection of Korean hot dogs, bubble teas and fruit drinks and one of my favorite Korean desserts, their ugly donut!!! Everything is freshly made to order too, so guaranteed great quality every time! Omgosh, just noticed they expanded their menu and have filled donuts now!!! I love their blueberry flavor with black sesame whipped cream!! Welcome to the neighborhood!
Perfect. PERFECT. I love corn dogs… I’ve always loved corn dogs. There’s something so incredibly nostalgic about them. I don’t know if it’s because of that once scene in The Princess Diaries where Anne Hathaway and Julia Andrew’s bond over the queens first time trying a corndog or maybe because their just magically delicious. Either way, this place does them right. It’s not a traditional take on a corn dog because the batter is made with mochi dough but it’s almost.. better? If I was high🍁 and got my hands on these I would have had an outer body experience. THATS how good. Everything is made on the spot so I recommend anticipating a bit of a wait but I promise it’s so worth it. I will update this post once I try the donut
Wow!! This place rocks. People are so nice. We got an original u-dog with panko crust. The dipping sauces were awesome. My favorite were spicy mayo and shiracha. We also tried the Blueberry donut with fresh homemade whipped cream. So good and fresh!! All made to order. Oh, the drink was strawberry lemon drink-ade. With fresh fruit! Highly recommend for a nice treat!!
Wonderful unique experience. Ordered through a kiosk. While ordering you can customize to your preference on each order. I ordered their Premium Pizza Ugdog and their Mushroom. With their Midnight Lemonade and a Blueberry cream cheese donut to go. I was full by the time I snarfed down on my 2nd one. Pretty worth the wait and the staff were super friendly. The tables space was good. The place had a nice upbeat and chill vibe.
Unusual style of donuts but they are made fresh to order. Warm and pillow soft donuts that are very rich in taste. I consider them very sweet so be mindful of sugar content and no more than two donuts is enough. This location is very small so seating can be tight or nonexistent on a busy day; best to get orders to go. Customer service is top notch because the workers are very polite, pleasant and attentive.
There is nothing at all ugly about these Korean corn dogs or donuts! Walking by this place piqued our interest and we just had to try it. The place is small and while there are a few tables and chairs to eat in, it seems most opt for take out. You can order ahead online, at the kiosk in the establishment or at the counter. All is made fresh upon ordering.
Checked out this new neighborhood spot that serves Korean street food: rice corn dogs and twisted donuts. The interior has a cute aesthetic with artwork and neon sign. I came for the corn dogs. They have several different options you can try. I went with the mozza mix with beef sausage and mozzarella cheese. I added the crispy potato topping. They have several sauce options. I chose spicy mayo and asked the staff to recommend another one to me. They said the cheddar cheese sauce pairs well with what I ordered. They have a few chairs outside. I sat outside and several people stopped to ask me about what I was eating. They then went inside to order one for themselves. The corn dog was really tasty. The mix of flavors was interesting. I love sauces, but with so much going on, plain old ketchup probably would have been fine. Overall, it was good and I would probably go back and try a different corn dog and their donuts. We love Korean corn dogs so much and we were so excited to see Ugly Donuts & Corn Dogs opening up their locations in Forest Hills. The decor is bright and clean but narrow-spaced with limited indoor seating. They use kiosk to take all orders and call numbers to pick up the food. We got a take-out order on a Friday night and the wait wasn’t too bad. We had their Scallion Donut w Cinnamon Sugar and La Mexicana Ugdog. It’s decent with a reasonable price and portion. We love our savory donut, which was puffy and soft. However, the filling of corn dog was not cheesy enough, which was kind of disappointing in our opinions.
Cute little place with great boba tea and delicious donuts. I haven't tried the corn dogs yet, but they also look amazing. One of the unique things about this place is their specialized whipped cream dipping sauce for their donuts. The donuts have the consistency of fried dough, which I think is a plus!
I ordered a corn dog with mozzarella cheese. The hot dog inside was literally 1 inch long. I thought there might have been a few of them spaced out inside. But nope. It's just 1, 1 inch long hot dog. I gave this 3 stars because everything else was great. Customer service, quality of the food. All great. The size of the hotdog just literally felt like a prank.
I was really excited to try Ugly Donuts after seeing the viral Dubai chewy cookie online. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We ordered through the kiosk and also got a drink, which was actually good. When we received the cookie, the employee behind the counter suggested microwaving it for 5 seconds to make it softer. My mom agreed, assuming it would be quick. However, after 10 minutes, we still hadn’t gotten the cookie. When my mom went back to ask about it, the same employee said, “What cookie?” even though we had the receipt. After showing proof, she said it was “still heating,” which didn’t make sense given how long we had already waited. It felt like she simply forgot our order but refused to admit it. When we finally got the cookie, it wasn’t even warm, which made the long wait even more frustrating. Overall, the lack of communication and accountability really ruined what we were hoping would be a fun experience. The drink was fine, but the customer service needs serious improvement. Because of this experience, I don’t think we’ll be coming back.
I was really disappointed with my experience at this place. Unfortunately, the service was far below expectations. The waitstaff seemed inattentive and more focused on chatting among themselves than taking care of guests. We waited a long time and often felt ignored. The food also did not meet expectations — it lacked flavor and overall quality. On top of that, the atmosphere was not very inviting or comfortable. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, and sadly, I would not choose to return or recommend this place to others.
Horrible customer service. A young man behind the counter was incredibly rude and even snatched a box back from my friend and I. All we wanted was our donuts to be placed in separate boxes. This kid needs to be taught better customer service skills. You don't talk back or shrug your shoulders at customers, as to say you don't care. If you don't care he shouldn't be working there. Very unprofessional and disgusting behavior. He's going to act up with the wrong person and get what he deserves. And the food is mediocre. I rather pay more money for better customer service and a cleaner establishment. And clearly from the other reviews, this isn't the first time someone is complaining about the customer service. And it won't be the last! If this was different day, he would have been snatched from behind the counter. He doesn't know who he will encounter.
