Incredible staff, I was there and acted a fool the bouncer had the cops involved. He made the right call I was too drunk to drive. They handled everything amazingly. I do apologize for my behavior but everyone was incredibly kind even when I was a jerk. I was in the wrong. I apologize, and thank you for your quick actions.

Basic bar with decent food, tastes better when you're drinking but they have nice staff and some cool events like bingo and live music. Much better crowds than the bar across the street.

I am not the type to slow down and review anything but what I will say about this tavern is that there are only a few places I feel like I can be my authentic true self the way that the tavern makes me feel. Brought my dad of all people in tonight and it was awesome to see him look over to me at his age of 63 with a smile and say “I like this place”. What I truly love about any bar is the way you feel when you leave. Left tonight better then I came in. Appreciate all the people at lark tavern💙

I am loving this latest incarnation of the Lark Tavern. We have enjoyed the food (brunch!!!), trivia, karaoke, and the vibes are always good here. It's a new regular haunt for us.

Best place for great entertainment, good food and friendly service. Check out their Jazz Tuesdays and Sunday brunches. Any venue that promotes and supports musicians with atmosphere and food to match is where I will spend my money and time. Hooray LarkStreet Tavern⭐️.

The inside looks completely different from what it was a few years back. Very nice ambiance. We were taken care of right away and the bar tender was very attentive.

I went to the Lark Tavern today for the first time since it reopened. It was amazing. First, it's absolutely beautiful inside! It is welcoming and friendly. We were greeted with a warm hello by Keith. My friend and I shared the nachos and a basket of fries. Food was delightful, ambience was fantastic. Beer list was nice! Something for everyone. Lovely jazz venue. Delightful couches for two along with normal chairs and tables. Quick and unobtrusive service. Strong drinks. We went to listen to the fantastic Sonny and Pearley jazz band. Had two cocktails even though I rarely indulge. First was told that they did not have cream for my White Russian, but then it magically appeared. Individual pizza and salad were good as well.

Love the remodel. The wings were fantastic. Keith, the bartender, was super nice and provided excellent customer service.

​If you’re looking for a spot with great karaoke and even better drinks, Lurk Tavern is the place to be. I dropped in around 11:00 PM on a Saturday and the energy was perfect—lively, welcoming, and exactly what you want for a night out. Definitely a local favorite for a reason. Highly recommend checking it out!

The Lark Tavern has some good things going for it. They have by far the best trivia we've found in the area. Sam the bartender has superpowers when it comes to remembering drink orders. The food isn't my favorite but there are some bright spots on the menu (I really like the chili, and the quesadillas are quite good). We've experienced a few misses on service, especially when sitting in the back room, and recently had a reservation problem, but I will say that the owner contacted me and apologized, was very receptive to feedback, and didn't just make excuses or act like it was my problem. I've updated my review to reflect that.

Updated and remodeled landmark has lost some of it's classic charm, but it looks very nice and the back room is perfect for lounging and listening to music. A bit understaffed on the night we visited. Food is okay but nothing special.

The place is beautiful and the food was good. I wish the menu was a little different. It's tasty and appears to appeal to a large crowd but it needs some more interesting stuff on it. Also, the plates are too big for the tables. Maybe serve some tapas or find smaller plates or larger tables. I just think the menu was an afterthought.

We visited when we passed through Albany. We were visiting a friend who used to drink there when he was at college 50 years ago. The place has changed a bit but still a nice place for a beer or two.

My boyfriend and I, and our numerous friends were regulars for karaoke. We would come in with 4-7 one night every weekend. Unfortunately that is now over. We came on New Year's Eve and the owner's drunk and overly obnoxious and entitled wife started with my boyfriend. The owner tried to diffuse the situation by talking to my boyfriend in the back. While Chris the owner was apologizing to my husband for his wife's actions, she kept on being drunk and obnoxious to me. When I had finally had enough and said something back to her, their equally drunk and obnoxious male friend forced me to the door and kicked me out. When my boyfriend finally came out and the owner realized his wife was still at it, I watched him grab his wife by the face and scream at her. What an insane bunch of overly entitled, drunken and dysfunctional people. My boyfriend and I and our numerous friends will never step foot back in that place ever again. They have no idea that their drunken interactions with people who pay their bills on a weekly basis will ruin that bar and it's reputation. Good riddance.

Short bouncer with a beard is violent and instigating. Would not let go of me after asking what the whole story was, i was not drunk which is reflected on my $33 tab. When trying to leave he continued to hold my collar and wouldn’t let me leave, taller security guard understood the small guard was in the wrong and was able to let me be released. Overall an unobservant and under educated establishment that needs to have a better comprehension of public safety.

So as a nonbinary person I was pulled out of a bathroom by a bouncer, and it just made me feel unsafe. Since I'm trans and was dressed femininely but also am biolocigally male & nonbinary I ended up going to the men's room, since I'm still early in my transition I kind of feel nervous going into a women's bathroom. I just wanted to go into the stall and pee and leave. However on doing so the bouncer comes in and called me out, and tells me to tell him what I identify as and that I can only go into the men's bathroom since that's the one I chose to go into. Honestly I was just scared and and could feel that bouncer staring at me the whole time I was there. It just felt like such a breach of privacy, if I was more masculine presenting on that day would I have been called out of the bathroom in such an emberressing situation and had to have felt scared liker that? I never want to go back here again, I had one drink and just sat there nervous and I just wanted to celebrate my freinds birthday.....

I will never step foot back in this place again. Younger security guard definitely racially profiled my wife, how do you check my wife’s bag tell her she can’t go in all because a small bag of weed. WEED is legal, never checked my bag though I had weed and edibles in my bag. I’ll gladly stay away.

My friend and I went out to this bar one Saturday night. We are from Massachusetts and we are of drinking age(21). We showed our 21 year old Massachusetts IDs and when he denied us from getting in, i also showed my juniors operators license also from Massachusetts to prove I am the age I am. He then denied that too, but said he believes we are from Massachusetts and that our IDs are fake. I said i would call law enforcement to validate my ID and he said call whoever you want and then grabbed me and my friend by the shoulders and escorted us out of the bar. This is completely unacceptable behavior from a bouncer and i will never be going back to this bar. Fire that man NOW. You will lose business from so many college students that live in Massachusetts because of this guys discrimination against massholes. I don’t know if he’s a Yankees fan or what but this is unacceptable.

They tacked on $73 tip to my card which I disputed + won, after going there 3x + wasting $ waiting for new owner who asked to run Open Mic then dissed me up to day prior to show I'd already promoted, owner Chris's GF Katy told me they "took care of my bill," which was BS. Untrustworthy!
