The price is fair for the higher end items they have. All the seafood is fresh. Sushi is made in smaller portions to avoid anything sitting out and being stale. All other items are always hot and kept fresh and taste great. The location is weel staffed and everyone who works there is friendly and does a great job with the cleanliness with the high amount of customers. I've been here many times since the grand opening and never had an issue. It's a welcomed addition to the capital region.
If you're a fan of all-you-can-eat grilled meats, this Korean-Asian fusion buffet is definitely worth checking out. I recently visited, and the grilled meat selection was impressive. There’s a wide range of options, from tender bulgogi to spicy pork belly, juicy short ribs, and flavorful chicken skewers. Each cut was well-seasoned and perfectly cooked with a nice balance of smoky char and juiciness. The standout was definitely the beef. It was tender and packed with flavor. The pork belly had the perfect amount of crispiness on the edges while staying juicy inside. The chicken skewers were marinated well and cooked just right. If you’re a meat lover, you’ll be satisfied. They also offer a hot pot option, although I didn’t try it myself. It looked popular at other tables with a variety of broths and fresh ingredients to cook. But for me, the focus was all on the meats, and they definitely didn’t disappoint. If you're looking to indulge in a meat-heavy feast with great variety, this buffet has you covered.
Great food. Great service. Great experience. Highly recommend if you're looking to try a variety.
Every time I'm in Albany, I go here. It's a hidden gem. It's not just a sushi bar, but has many buffet dishes and hot-pot soup. There seems to be a busy place, so the food stays fresh. If you need cracking device for crustation claws, just ask your server. ....Bathrooms are clean.
Excellent variety of selection. Hot pot was great, servers were quick. Great quality for the price!
Very large selection of asian cuisine, all being pretty well made for an all you can eat place. with a very good price for all you can eat. Especially the lunch deal on weekdays being only around 23 per person. They have free drinks too!
I got upset at first about the bill being $82 but that's with the included 12 percent. But for me and the woman I'm seeing we were on there for 40 min , so we didn't get our moneys worth. But it's not bad prices for what they offer. So for each person it's about 30 something dollars which isn't bad. And they have a huge offering of things. The staff were very friendly and so is the atmosphere. We are going back and this time will stay for a few hrs . I would say overall it seems worth the price. I'll update if the 2nd time anything changes. My apologies to the guy at the register for my reaction. But for now I recommend!
So far the food is really good the service is awesome for posting this we were offered temperature in alphabelle or cheese lobster. The price is about $40 a person. There will be more photos to follow. But if you like sushi this is definitely the place to come. Totally worth the money.
We could not wait for this one to open. Everything that we tried was excellent. Staff was very helpful with items we had never tried. So many new things to try. Everything hot was hot, items were quickly filled there was no wait. Would definitely go back again and have already told others to go there.
After my husband's meeting, he proposed lunch at the area's newest unlimited buffet, which I knew of as well. We opted for UMI, and here's my genuine assessment. In comparison to a rival Chinese buffet, UMI impressed with its organization and extensive selection, ideal for satiating Asian food cravings. The fresh, hot seafood, especially the crabs and salmon, surpassed our previous buffet experience, delighting my husband. The unlimited sweet options were a bonus. I strongly recommend UMI, but suggest arriving with an appetite because so many choices!
Super clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Not your typical buffet place. Beautiful sushi displays. Food is delicious. Incredible pork belly! Oysters, shrimp, crab, they have it all ! Dinner has increased options. I had prime rib the one evening I was there. Oh and hot pots where you cook your own food choices at your table. Gotta try it.
Very good first experience! We were greeted by friendly staff who took good care of us all night. They offer an immense variety-it's a one stop shop for most Asian cuisines! The biggest selling point our party of 6 were the crab legs offered both hot in a "boil" style and chilled in a seafood cocktail style (you might have to ask for the crackers but the do have them!). The other offerings were hit or miss but mostly good. The ramen bar gave 4 pre-crafted varieties to select from that are made to order. The hot pot broth that's served table-side was offered in 4 varieties also. There was quite the sushi selection but it was a little difficult to differentiate between the rolls due to no labels, however I'm sure it's always changing so that would be hard to do. There was a large variety of desserts too, I had the crème brûlée-big fan for buffet style crème brûlée. They also have a whole cooler of Asian sodas and bubble teas that were included, my friends loved those. It's $50 pp all in with tax and tip but IMO well worth it for the immense variety and crab legs. The background music was enjoyable featuring N'sync and other tasteful selections. The butane smell was a little intense at times but not much to be done about that. They do not accept reservations but when we arrived, around 6pm on a Wednesday we were given a table expediently. There is additional parking in the back too if the front lot is full. I'd give it a 7.8/10-overall a great experience and I highly recommend giving them a try.
We’ve been to this place at least once a month. Variety of food and amazing staff especially Vivian! You can enjoy from American Chinese cuisine to hotpot, even ramen!!! One stop for all foodie! ❤️
We were looking for lobster, unfortunately they didn't have any today. But they did have a lot of seafood options and they were all good. And for a buffet I think the price was great! I ate way more than the $36/adult worth of snow crab for sure.. I'd recommended and go again.
Great food and service. Those drinks are all for free!!!! I highly recommend it. My families are all agree with coming back every weekend, we tipped 40 dollars for their excellent service. Yes, they are pricy but the food is best in town compared with all other buffet restaurants nearby.
If you're a seafood lover, Umi Sushi is a must-visit! The restaurant offers a wide variety of fresh seafood, from sushi and sashimi to unique seafood dishes that cater to different tastes. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a great dining experience. I highly recommend Umi Hotpot Sushi & Seafood for anyone craving quality seafood and a memorable meal!
Food was pretty decent. Some stuff was obviously frozen and not fresh. Some were left out for too long but for $40 after tax, etc. the price is excellent. The buddha jumps over the wall soup was excellent for instance and is something that I highly reccommend. Its not the best ingridients (abalone for instance was small and quite cheap) but its quite authentic and good. The drinks (esp. the homemade drinks (passionfruit tea and wood ear fungus drink were great). Hot pot was excellent and highly recommended. - good broths and fresh ingridients.
This is our first time come to this place. The first impression of this buffet was nice, clean, and friendly atmosphere with mouthwatering food you can see right in front of you when you come through the door. My wife and I are big sea food lover. We are impressed by the selection of seafood available. The price per person in my opinion is fair considering the inflation nowadays. If you haven’t been to this buffet I will recommend you to give a try, and you will love it.
I liked the good mix of seafood. I did not see lobster. Based on the signs I thought it was supposed to be $25/person. I went with my parents, bill came to $130 total for the 3 of us. I don't know how that happened. But everything and everyone was good. The sushi was also good.
Honestly the best Asian buffet I've ever been to. Enormous selection and many tasty dishes - the spicy frog legs and black pepper beef were my favorites. The sushi/sashimi were fine - not amazing, but better than any buffet sushi I've had in the past. They also had "Buddha Jumps over Wall" - I rarely see this offered at sit down restaurants, never mind a buffet. We'll be back!
Best sea food buffer in Albany area.Really enjoy the sea food. If you are a seafood lover. Then this place is for you. Usually prefer dinner buffet. They have more seafood options like crab, prawn, squid, salmon, snale, snow crab legs, lobster and many more. They charge $33 per adult + service charge extra 12%+ tax.
This place is now officially a must visit whenever I am driving through Albany. Located conveniently just minutes outside of the city center, it offers great quality food with a wide variety. To be honest it beats most of the Boston area Chinese or Japanese buffets with ease. July fourth the promotion is attached as a photo.
Went here with a potential business partner/investor for a business lunch, and Umi was a gem! My stomach is now yelling at my brain to be braver and get over to New York more. American, Chinese, Sushi, Hot Pot & more galore. The soft coconut buns are not to be missed, a ton of very fun seafood options, and some rarer items like beef tripe, quail eggs, an absolute bounty of bubble tea and juices (included in the price of the meal!) Right now it is a top motivating for buying a car, to be able to add it to my regularinch rotation!
The food was delicious! The service was impeccable. They checked on our table every few minutes to make sure we had drinks, hotpot and that our experience was pleasurable. The food selection was far greater than we expected. When I saw frog legs and jellyfish, I knew we were dealing with professionals. The assortment of clams, crab and various other dishes found in high end restaurants speaks an opera about their selection. Other rare dishes found included water chestnut cake and a pineapple rice. There were so many items that we couldn't try everything they had. We'll have to go back to get another chance at the other half we were too full to try. We were so happy we chose those spot for our 3rd anniversary celebration. Beats every buffet I've ever been to, in the area and outside the area.
Had a great time with a nice ambience, soothing music not too overbearing. Fresh, tasty food. The 2 hour sitting time is more than enough time to eat and socialize with your guests. Large variety. Even had oxtails which I was shocked. Hot Pot, hibachi, sushi everything you would expect from a Chinese buffet but more!!! Well worth the price.
This place is an absolute game-changer. I’m talking about a Korean-Asian fusion all-you-can-eat buffet that left me seriously impressed. The food selection? Next level. There’s a crazy variety of meats and seafood that were cooked to perfection, and I couldn’t stop going back for more. If you’re into grilling your own meat, you’re in for a treat. It’s all fresh and flavorful, and I honestly lost track of how many plates I went through. And don’t even get me started on the bubble tea endless flavors that kept me coming back for more. I swear I could’ve spent hours just sipping on those. The dessert was another knockout, sweet, indulgent, and the perfect way to end a meal. This place is a hidden gem, for real. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. If you're hungry and looking for a spot that hits the spot on every level, this is it. Highly recommend.
This buffet has everything you want inside of it. Umi has been quite the experience for me and my hubby. We’ve already been there 3x and we’re about to make it 4. I can honestly say every time I come back the food is better or something was added to the menu. The chefs are right on point with their cooking skills. The foods are flavorful and satisfying. A few of my favorites are the ramen bowls and hot pots. Umi has an enormous amount of seafood. Some In a boil others set on the cold display for the hotpot’s. Others just off by them selves for plating with butter sauce. I could go on for days about this food but your best bet is to just come out and try it. I’m sure you wouldn’t be disappointed I haven’t been yet! With the many different selections of food to choose from there’s something to eat for us all.🙂 customer service was amazing I tipped 20% . There was never a Dull Moment And My Table Stayed Clear And My Drink Stayed Full.
Some of the food items was dry, like the crab and the salt and pepper shrimp. you're on the clock when you go in, 2 hour time limit which is quite a bit of time, but you feel like you're being watched for everything. Strict signs up about the buffet, maybe necessary, but create an unfriendly atmosphere. You have to ask for knives and something to open the crab with. Not conveniently out to use. Probably would not go back. Went at lunch time.
This will be my second time coming to this restaurant. I have to say... One of the things that stands out the most is the cleanliness and sanitation of this restaurant. In fact, Umi is one of the cleanest buffets that we have been to. The waitresses are very friendly and always serve with a smile. Trust me... That goes a long way. The food options are the best! I haven't had fried frog legs in years!!! They also have legs of lamb, crab legs, duck, and sushi to name a few... All served fresh, hot, and ready to eat on the buffet table! The sushi 🍣 🍣 🍣 I would give 5 stars. The frog legs were excellent and the lamb leg was well seasoned. The chicken and broccoli was not the best. The crab legs were over steamed, the oxtails were mainly bones, and the rest of the food was okay. Tasty, eatable, but just okay. We want to go to Umi one Saturday for the dinner menu. They give away 1 free lobster per person! The waitresses did not make us aware of that, however, when we were leaving we saw the menu sign in the front. We would have liked to have been told that, however I just think that is so cool because what restaurant have you heard of doing that? We will definitely be coming back soon.
Great options. But the seafood,/ crablegs were bland . Pork belly was delicious and the staff watches you like a hawk
Nice place, clean, friendly and lots of parking . Large variety of foods. I tried soooo many new things, great experience. I’ll defiantly be back!
Definitely a place worth checking out! The variety was incredible! There were literally new items at every turn. Even after three plates I couldn't get everything down that I wanted to try. Oh well, I guess that warrants another visit! There is a little something for everyone here because of the sushi, sashimi, hot seafood, cold seafood, Ramen bar, hot pots, and desserts. They really do touch on every craving. My one bugaboo would be that the smell of the hot pots was a little overwhelming. The tables are pretty close together, so when the family next to us sat down and ordered hot pots, we spent the rest of our meal smelling the fire gel that was used as a heating source. Sort of a mix between propane and a candle. Not very pleasant. Other than that, we had a great time and will definitely go back to try more of what they offer.
If you are a seafood lover this restaurant is a must stop. Went for lunch on a Saturday (which is dinner price) the restaurant was very clean and bright. The options were plenty. Shrimp many ways lobster claws and stone crab claws crab legs and other endless seafood options! They did have some Chinese staples sushi also Gen Tso chicken beef and broccoli etc...all very good Also available alot of desserts and drinks included in price. Price for two was $84.50 and definitely worth it if you love seafood.
Went with my husband and 18 month old. They were very accommodating on seating and had a booster seat for our daughter . The oysters and clams were fresh they also had a huge selection of sushi sashimi etc. the desserts were decent. The only complaint I have is the Dungeness crab claws need to be pre cracked I tried a reg crab leg cracker and juice went everywhere and it was stringy the meat which was weird idk. The regular steamed crab legs were extremely salty they should be sweet it was inedible a huge disappointment for me. We didn’t try hot pot so I can’t judge that but all the hot food was delicious. I would go back my husband said it’s a pass for him. Ultimately it wasn’t bad just the salty crab legs and the thick crab claws disappointed me.
This is not not the nicest Umi that I've ever been to. Within getting one plate of food they accidentally cleared my entire table which was weird and I've never had that experience before. The food wasn't as hot as I've had it some other places in the crab legs definitely did not taste good. The oysters were just okay but their Sushi was very good. The garlic Abalone was amazing as always. I enjoyed the sushi and hot food alot more than the crab which was sad. I think it could have been fresher. I still enjoyed my experience and id come back here again.
We arrived at opening time and needed to wait as they weren’t ready yet -food was not all set out/prepared and they were still getting their systems up and running. We opted in for hot pot and buffet. For food they just got put out, quite a bit wasn’t hot. Having said that, as things started to come out, they were very good. The crab legs were cold and extremely salty BUT the sushi was decent, the options for hot pot were fantastic, and there were plenty of options for those pickier eaters who aren’t necessarily looking for more authentic Asian food options. Definitely will return.
Great new buffer with plenty of options including seafood. I found that while the selection was expansive and impressive, the taste of several items was bland. They do have a sauce bar that I did not utilize and that’s probably on me. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you love buffet places. This is next level buffet!
I visited Umi Sushi & Seafood Buffet with my family. They have child friendly options like pizza and chicken for picky eaters. There is a variety of food options, drinks like bubble tea, and desserts. The food was a mixed bag. Most of the food was good but some of food was slightly undercooked like the spring rolls and broccoli. We all ordered the same soft beverage and again it was a mixed bag. Some missed the mark. The seafood on the other hand was fresh like the crab. I highly recommend going with the seafood and starches. The overall atmosphere and service was good. The place was clean.
The lobster was the worst I ever had. Save the 3 dollars extra you have to pay to get it. The sushi is very good and the hot food was ok. Servers are not attentive to your needs. You have to ask them to refill your drinks.
We dined here recently and sadly weren’t really impressed. We did enjoy the Chinese food (the coconut shrimp was my favorite), but we were really disappointed in the seafood selection. Steamed crab legs should not be served on ice like they are here, so that was a huge bummer. The crab legs in the seafood boil were overcooked, very salty, and I wasn’t a fan of the seasoning. The melted butter they put out is the same stuff the movie theaters put on popcorn. It’s nasty on seafood and tastes like straight up oil, not butter. The salmon was just ok and the grilled scallops in the half shell were very fishy tasting and greasy. I didn’t try the sushi, ramen, or hotpot, but selections looked decent. The restaurant was very hectic but I guess that’s expected with a buffet. The buffet counters were clean, but the men’s room (according to my boyfriend) was disgusting. Tables were cleaned and drinks were refilled quickly despite being busy, so that’s a plus. Overall, I don’t think we’d be back. For the price point I just don’t think it’s worth it if you’re not having seafood, which was subpar at best in my opinion.
Place kind of felt like a bus station with all the signage printed on copy paper and taped to the walls and tables. The fact that it was pretty cold inside and everyone had coats on kind of added to the bus station motif. Food was okay but nothing special. The creme brulee was horrible texture was like chewing on a bouncy ball. Probably won't be back.
Bottom line: Good buffet with a bit of everything. Great for groups with variety of preferences. For specific genres, Albany has better offerings across the board. Worth a second visit if you tried it during the first two-three horrible weeks Last edit Nov2024 Every visit has been a bit different. They seem to still be adjusting the business: Food safety now seems okay. Taste is hit or miss. The pork belly is fantastic. Cleaningness is questionable This place had a rocky start: Opening weekend had crab legs pilled three feet high (read: seafood was not iced for extended periods) and several dishes tasted old/expired Our most recent visit was during a columbus day special event, but the quality of just about everything went up: All of the food tasted fresher. Cooked selections were tastier. Everything was replenished quickly and consistently. There is still bit left to be desired in terms of raw seafood freshness (some of the oysters were a touch off, but most were fine) but this is place is shaping up to be just as good as we hoped. The tables, especially in the side room, are still way too cramped. Also, not sure if this was changed since our previous visit, but the hot pot set up is pretty dangerous for small children-- make sure to tie back long hair and watch for flares
It was extremely busy when I went there. It’s typical buffet style where you get seated and serve yourself. There was a decent amount of options but the quality of food was not the best. I had some pieces of shrimp that clearly were not fresh anymore. They were just extremely mushy. There were a few beef dishes that were also extremely hard to chew. Their non refrigerated dessert section was also completely empty or very picked through. For me the buffet is not worth the price.
We came here on a Monday evening seeing that the reviews say 4.3 stars, however I wouldn’t even rate it a full 2 stars at best. It felt more like an American Chinese buffet, with a twist. We first got sashimi and sushi. I took a bite of the tuna and you can tell it was not fresh. The salmon sashimi wasn’t terrible. We had sushi next. The rice was dry and terrible like it was sitting out for a while. If you’re an Asian restaurant and mess up rice, that’s how you know it’s not great. We went back for the hot food now. Everything looks promising, but it’s not. The coconut shrimp was probably the best dish. I liked the cheese wontons too. The fried rice was the same, dry and flavorless. There were so many options for seafood and they looked promising but everything was mediocre. The oxtail could be seasoned a tad but was better than any other items. We thought we were going to eat a lot of seafood but we were so disappointed that it grossed us out. We did do their hot pot and that was cool as they bring it to the table. They have bubble tea ready in a fridge too. Dessert was all eh not great. We would love to give it another chance on a Friday or Saturday night hoping that maybe it would be fresher with more folks, but we probably won’t come back.
I’m sorry but it just wasn’t very good. Especially for all the good reviews (how??) and the price point. $70 for two people, I hoped for better. I appreciate the variety, and the service is good. But they boast high-quality seafood on their website and that simply wasn’t true. I’m sure the cooks are very talented, but poor ingredient quality plays a big factor. Even the desserts weren’t good. The fruit flies in the dessert jelly also didn’t help… Anyways, 2/5 stars. Maybe coming here at 8:30pm meant worse food. Maybe because I used to live by the beach, I was spoiled with buffets that had high quality seafood. Maybe she’s born with it. Maybe it’s Maybelline.
It was chaotic, rushed, and loud. This was not a pleasant experience and we will not be returning. We were rushed to our table when trying to decide if we wanted to eat here or not. Then we were aggressively asked to rate them on google to receive a discount. The food was okay, there was a variety, but it was expensive. If you are looking for a quiet, all you can eat sushi experience l, I’d recommend going to Sushi Shine in Glenmont.
Thought I was going for all you can eat crab legs but there was only cold ones for half the visit and the butter isn't butter. On the chinese food side not much of a selection very disappointed
This place is pricey and the food wasn't that good. It's like any casual buffet but not really as good as you would think. The sushi was extremely dry as well and feels like it was not made freshly. No matter what time you go into the restaurant.
Service was good very attentive keeping table cleared. Unfortunately the food on hot buffet was not HOT!! Either barely warm or just cold. Coconut shrimp cold? Ragoons cold. No hot crab legs. Prime rib dried out. The sushi was getting dried out. Had been out for a while. Again not very flavorful. Desserts very bland. Very disappointing. Will need a good coupon to try this place again. Was really looking forward to a good seafood buffet. Especially at that price. 😩
Place has gone downhill since it opened a few years ago. Went on Presidents’ Day and place had no lobster, hardly any crab, old tasting sushi, thawed out salmon with lousy taste, usual fried foods, ok soups. Saw kitchen worker putting out raw oysters with bare hands and using fingers to clean up shells as he put them out. Food in general tasted bland. Probably won’t go back again.
We went for my birthday when this place first opened up and it was absolutely fantastic but unfortunately tonight it was not great at all. Its almost though they stopped caring. Some of the foods were questionable.
Okay so I just went here tonight with 5 people total. The price is pretty up there 33-40 dollars depending on the day PLUS gratuity (automatic) and tip. The milk tea is premade and tastes funny. The passion fruit tea was nice. If you're a seafood lover you'll have a great time but if you don't eat seafood or simply don't eat meat. You're not gonna get around easy. The desert's are iffy. The quality is questionable to be honest. We won't be coming back.
This place was recommended by friends that raved about it after it opened. We pulled up and our first thoughts were, wow it's incredibly bright inside there, which, great, good lighting but no ambiance. It was clean inside and the staff are very attentive. The buffet stations are very clean and organized. However, the food quality was poor. A lot of items looked like they sat out way too long. Meats were over cooked, the sushi was not fresh, and the meats in the hot pot chest looked aged. More than once we questioned if we would get food poisoning, but we were already there and decided to just stick it out. I'm not sure if the food quality was just a product of a slow Thursday night or if there just aren't proper rotation times for the food. The things we tried that had just come out fresh were very good! Giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe this was just a one time thing?
Unfortunately, I went last Monday, and when I came home that evening, I threw up the food. It was not even crowded like before — I was there on President’s Day — and the food did not seem as fresh as it used to be. Be careful
We went at 4p on a Saturday. I would not ever recommend this place for the price. The food I had was either dry, tough, or generally lacked anything you would call quality. Even the sushi was bland and the ones I didn't try looked to be sitting out for quite some time that day. The "free" cold lobster had an off taste and was ignored mostly. Even the piles of crab legs you see in all the pictures everywhere are only served cold, and tasted like they were sitting in water for hours prior. The bathroom, bathroom hallways and that general side of the place had quite the unpleasant "bathroom" smell. This is a scathing review but I had better expectations of this place based on the advertising. Very disappointed. All show. If you want to try a bunch of seafood random dishes, frog legs, niche eastern Asian sodas and teas, spend 40 bucks per person on their "weekend dinner" buffet, send it and tell me I'm wrong.
Went in for the first time.. it was Father’s Day. Place was super busy…. Looked at the prices was a bit expensive but decided to stay. $39.99 for adults and 18.99 for children 5-10-years old. It was my husband and two children 14 year old and 10 year old. At the end we waited for our check for a half hour. When we finally got the check we were charged for 4 adults. So we spoke to a server, not ours… she wasn’t around. They said if the child’s over 5” they are charged full price. My husband is tall. My children are tall. They said they needed to measure her to give her the child’s price. Made her walk to the counter and take her shoes off to make sure… I am totally appalled by this restaurant. Disgusting ! Lobsters tasted nasty…. Black spots on them… not cooked fresher…. Cook frozen reheated with some type of preservative that made it taste bitter…. Never again….
Update 1/4/25: My dad has been in the hospital for nearly 40 days after getting food poisoning from eating here. He has one of the worst cases of pancreatitis that his surgeon sees once every 5 years. He is going in on Monday to get all his fluids and necrotic (dead) tissue removed. More than have of his pancreas has necrotized. My dad tested negative for parasites. While there’s been no definitive explanation for all of this; it’s hard to not rule out that his food poisoning that he got from here led to all of this. Original post late November, 2024: My Dad is in the ICU FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE after getting food poisoning (as my family also got food poisoning after eating there on Sunday; 11/24/24) from this location! My Dad handled it worse and ended up with a belly 3x the size by Tuesday 11/26 and in the ER. His food poisoning - the nausea he had - most likely led to him developing a blood clot into his pancreas. He’s now in the ICU fighting for his life; with pancreatitis, sepsis, on a breathing and feeding tube, and on long running dialysis. Absolutely DO NOT eat here!! We will be holding this business accountable for serving disgusting food that made my family sick! Please respond to my review and refund my families money!!
Overpriced, the food made me physically ill I didn't want to finish 50% of my plate. The sushi was falling apart and one of the pieces made me want to vomit but having the staff stare in a line facing the dining room (and me) made me uncomfortable. I thought maybe the desserts would make up for it but they were dry and lacked flavor. Also my fork was bent which I found a little funny for a place with personalized plates.
Unfortunately did not like this place the crab legs were dry and over cooked and the selection was just not worth the price. I barely ate anything I love ramen but they also over cooked the noodles which turned them into mush. Unavailable to talk to anyone about my experience so I paid over 40 bucks to basically just eat the dumplings which weren’t anything special.
Everything was overcooked, salmon overcooked until it was white, the rice was crunchy, the sushi was old and chewy and turning hard, the crab/cream cheese/white tuna sashimi was turning brown, butter was burned. Ice cream bars in freezer were past due date by months. I grabbed crab and wasn’t given crab crackers, I had to find them on my own at the severs station, service is terrible. They did not give me my change, even though it was two pennies, I want my two pennies. Also, my girlfriend and I have food poisoning. Was not worth $80 for two people. No lobster false advertising. Will not go again. DO NOT GO HERE.
Food was tasteless, had no spices. The lobster wasn’t fresh and was served without any sauce. The fried chicken was black and tasted the worst.
Watch out for Tip Scams! 😡💳 The food was okay, and the service was just average. What really upset me was being overcharged on the tip. My lunch for two came to $43.98 before tax and tip, but they decided to charge me a total of $67.63 without my consent. If I hadn’t checked my credit card statement today, I might have missed it. They charged me a 53% tip, even though I had already selected the amount myself. I’m really angry about this. Be careful, everyone! 👎💸
Awful food for really high price. Food is tasteless and cold. They said one lobster for each person but for some reason it was rubbery. Services was good tho and clean.
We were charged extra money for the holiday. The salmon tasted like dirty water. The rice and sushi were SO old. Everything was dry. When we brought the price gouging up to the wait staff she laughed at us. If Wasabi has a twenty minute wait. You wait. The two do not compare. Also the bathroom may as well have been apart of the fridge. Freezing. Leaving absolutely depressed.
Im a loyal customer, well was as of a couple days ago... so I went here every Sunday after church to eat with friends and family for 4 months. Crab legs are luke warm and they barely bring new ones out anymore as they were when they first opened. So then the day after Xmas they made us buy 2 lobsters which they say is included in price.. joke.. it cost 87$ so they trick you . Not only that but the claw of the lobster smelt like ammonia and I complained and told them this is not how this should smell and I showed the manager what it means and he fought with me insisting it was fresh! Like ok! And so me and my daughter left and I said if my kid gets sick im contacting department of health. Ending result they made me pay full price and I now have to call department of health on Monday. Its sad bc I really enjoyed going to this place but they dont care their getting kids/ old people sick. Sorry for the bad review but their all over tik tok with people getting sick... stay safe and sorry its unfortunate this is the only place offering a seafood buffet locally but keeping your family safe is more important. These people dont care about our country and the people in it.
Unfortunately did not like this restaurant at all. Upon entering the restaurant, we were seated at a table. The waiter however then left without saying a word. It was me and my friends' first time at the restaurant and it was not very clear that it was an exclusively buffet style restaurant, and it was not made clear if hot pot was available. It would have been nice if the waiter asked if it was our first time at the restaurant and explain that we could help ourselves to the buffet. I had realized this but my friends were confused and wanted to wait for the waiter to return. The buffet itself was also disappointing. Although I enjoyed the variety of options, especially the drinks selection, the food was not fresh and many dishes were half empty and were not replaced the whole night. The few dishes I tried, like coconut shrimp, steak and peppers were flavorful, but the shrimp was cold and the steak was so chewy I had to spit it out. Many other options I completely passed on, such as the sushi section and cold seafood section. Coincidentally, my friend visited the day after me and we compared our experiences. My friend actually ended up getting sick 3 hours after eating from the buffet, throwing up. We had visited on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as well. Overall I'm extremely disappointed as I was excited to visit an asian seafood restaurant in the area.
