Cool decor and great vibes! this place instantly became one of my favorites. The bar setup is stylish and inviting, the drinks are well made, reasonably priced, and consistently good. I really enjoyed everything about this place, from the atmosphere to the overall experience. It’s an easy spot to relax, hang out, and enjoy quality drinks. I’ll definitely be back again

I always have a great time in Alamo Cinema. Variety of food & drink in the menu. Theater is always clean. The staff is always very respectful and friendly. Last time accidentally we bought tickets for the wrong time of the movie and we thought we were screwed. However, the staff were very friendly and exchanged them for us. My favorite cinema in downtown Brooklyn.

Introduced to me by a lovely friend, you MUST visit Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - if you've never been. Fantastic theatre experience with strict no phone policy during movies with great food & drinks. Tons of vintage posters and other cool cinema peraphernalia around as well to keep you entertained if you get here earlier before show time. We came just before mobile ordering closed, so I didn't get to take pictures until after the movie showing. You gotta come here early to take a gander - definitely worth it. There's also a wax museum feature with a bar which is very unique! Highly recommend a visit to watch your movie here.

Great customer service and comfortable seats. My only complaint is that compared to other Alamos, their soda cups were considerably smaller. Other than that, I had a great time.

This is a great and fun theater. The Brooklyn location, while you have to take an escalator to the sky to get there, is well run, with friendly staff and good food & drinks. The seating is comfortable and not a bad viewing angle in the place. I recently signed up for the season pass and I've seen two movies so far (1 per day limit) and I have no regrets.

Reclining seats, seated service, huge space. Headed in on an unexpected night after dinner and drinks. Space was cool, staff was cool and the bathroom was clean. I hate crowds and there was a nice sized amount of seating available. I would return.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Enjoyed the Buttered 🍿popcorn and Pinot Grigio 🍷wine.

This was my first time visiting Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Brooklyn, and I had an amazing experience! I came to see the Minecraft movie, and it was such a fun and creative film. As a big fan of the video game, I didn’t expect a movie to capture the feeling of actually playing it—but they pulled it off! The animation was incredible, the characters (including Jack Black and the hilarious kids in the movie) were super entertaining, and the monsters looked like they came straight out of the game. It felt like I was playing and watching all at once. The theater itself was cozy and well-designed, located on the fourth floor. There’s an elevator if you need it, and once inside, everything is modern and clean. The seats were super comfortable with plenty of legroom, and they even reclined. You can order food, popcorn, drinks, beer, and cocktails directly from your seat, and the servers were really polite and efficient. There were a lot of kids and families in the audience, which made the energy fun and lively. I liked how the theater had clear rules for ordering food quietly so it wouldn’t interrupt the movie. It only seats about 95 people, which gave it a cozy, community vibe. There’s even a nice waiting area in the lobby if you arrive early. Overall, the ticket price was decent, the atmosphere was great, and the experience—from the movie to the theater—was impressive. I’d definitely come back again!

I’ve come here every Saturday and an occasional weekday for the past 1.5 months and the service, food, and overall experience has been consistently good. I’ve gotten many perks as part of the rewards system - free milkshake both for points and then as a birthday reward, free drink, and free popcorn. The milkshakes that come with whip cream are good, but the popcorn is way too big for one person so beware. Aside from free perks, I’ve eaten regular French fries here which are $7, veggie hummus wrap that’s $14, and Caesar salad both alone and with fried chicken and for the exception of the salad w/ fried chicken, it was all good. The prices for everything is quite steep though, especially after adding tax and tip. I decided to purchase the $40 membership and given all the times I went to the theater and the perks, I think it’s worth it. The 10% discount for food and drinks really doesn’t make much of a difference - it should be at least 15%. In general, the membership has helped my mental health in these trying times and frigid winter weather since it gives me a consistent, warm place to go without paying a lot. The staff have all been nice and friendly. I do put my seat back and when serving more often than not, the back of my chair gets pushed pretty hard. I don’t know if there isn’t enough room for the staff to walk, but I don’t like this at all. Overall, I really like the selections of films and especially the current marathon of Twin Peaks!

Dining and movies aren’t really my thing outside the house, but the place is nice. I love all the memorabilia, and the screening rooms are comfortable. I went there recently for The Chronology of Water, followed by a Q&A with Kristen Stewart and Imogen Poots.

This is a great location. The seats are super comfortable and the servers make a real effort not to disrupt your movie. I love the remove programming they show so try to arrive early if you can. My one qualm is the menu, I wish they switched it up more or put some more exciting options on. Nitehawk definitely has them beat menu wise.

Cinema itself is cool, comfy, and has a huge range of food and drink. Chill staff, pretty swift service. The company is trying to push this whole QR ordering concept but it doesn’t always work well (my order has been lost during two screenings now). My biggest tip is do not plan to get there on time!! Get there early!! The building is not the easiest to navigate and latecomers do not get entry. Plan ahead.

I always enjoy coming to Alamo Drafthouse in Downtown Brooklyn—it’s one of my favorite spots to watch a movie. Recently, I saw Sinners here and had a great experience. I love that Alamo celebrates both new releases and older films—it really adds to the vibe and makes it more than just a typical theater. The recliner chairs are a big plus—super comfortable and perfect for kicking back and elevating your legs while watching. My go-to order-Loaded fries and a cold Modelo. The only thing I wish is that they would let customers know in advance if certain menu items aren’t available—it would help with expectations and make the ordering experience smoother. Overall, it’s just a fun, laid-back place to enjoy a movie.

It's has very nice dining arrangements, seating and it's up to date, but DO NOT FALL ASLEEP!!!! The waitress took the rest of my lightly touched meal. It's Expensive food. Leave people's food alone unless they ask! I took my girls to see Zootopia2 & dozed off while they enjoyed... next thing the waitress walks by and picks up my fries and chicken... talk about heated!!! I tried to order or message but they refuse your orders toward the ending of the movie 30-40mins of the movies. I did not like that move AT ALL! So keep an eye on your food. It was my Daughter's 7th Bday, So I stayed quiet but was 😡.... No waitress should take your food when you didn't say anything. It doesn't happen in restaurants that way!!! The experience turned me off from this place!

The service is great, the chairs were very comfortable. Its just that the popcorn gave me very serious food poisoning. Like as I am writing this review I am clinging to a trashcan whole body shaking and my stomach threatening to rip me apart inside out. I am fighting for my life all because of the popcorn. Please for the love of God if you value your toilet and well being. Do not order the popcorn!

Been here a few times. 1st time was nice. Took a very long time to get water delivered to our seats, but understandable given how busy. Seats were decent. Theater was clean enough. 2nd time, ordered my tickets. At 1am of the showing day, they send out a single email flagging the showing was cancelled given tech issues. Managed to rebook and was then told the new ticket was for a showing that didn't exist, apparently it slipped through the gaps when they were doing some webaite maintenance. Overall very displeased, was not offered any additional recourse or acknowledgement that these were their mistakes. Very lacking in customer service.

I would go to AMC before Alamo. The bar is beautiful inside though and if you’re a lover of vintage movies I do think this atmosphere would be for you. But personally the rules are ridiculous , the commercials/ advertisements that are played prior to the movie , are creepy. Then also our waiter was nice but it was so hard to call them to come back because the way they do it you have to write what you want on a piece of paper then wave it in the air and u have to hope they see it??? It took me a long time just to order one drink that was very mediocre. The loaded fries were really good though , chicken tenders were questionable. Also avoid all fountain drinks and the sweet tea ain’t nothing sweet about that tea and the fountain drinks had such a weird taste and after taste to them. I was so excited to try this movie theater out but left very disappointed.

Projection and sound great, everything else - not so much! I love the idea of penalizing attendants for talking during the movie, but should the same rule not apply to the staff?? Everyone that worked there spoke at full volume and constantly. Can’t think of a more distracting environment for a person trying to sit and enjoy a movie in peace!! It’s so close to being a great theater, just make the staff stay quiet!! Please!!

I placed my order card upright for over an hour ，and I even pressed the service button multiple times ，but no server ever came to take it, even though servers were constantly walking back and forth delivering drinks and food to other guests. Eventually, one male staff member finally picked up my order card — but I never received the food I ordered. The movie ended, and nothing ever came. I honestly have no idea what went wrong, but the experience was extremely confusing and frustrating.

My first Alamo experience with a friend and both of our seats were broken, one in an odd/uncomfortable reclined position the other upright. When I was finally able to flag a server down to ask about the controls the movie had started, they confirmed they were broken and said I should speak to staff after. Fine, we put up with it and got our food/drink orders in which took well over an hour to arrive. By the tjme our beers arrived we were so irritated with waiting/the uncomfortable experience it took us entirely out of the film. After it ended I spoke to staff and they gave us two measly food coupons for the future. I doubt I’d ever go back, these are premium ticket prices for a sub-par experience. In this case you’d at least assume a refund, I won’t be using the food coupon because I’ll never be back. Once was enough. Also, the broken seats seem to be a common issue. You should denote that on the seating chart instead of having people play roulette with $25 tickets for crappy seats.

Our food and drinks ordered at the beginning of the movie never arrived. At the end of the film the person sitting next to us realized there was an unfamiliar card number on his receipt and asked me if there had been a mix up. When I checked my account it was clear that his order had been charged to the tab I’d opened. After the lost order, mishandling of my credit card information, and hassle and time it took to inquire, I think a normal restaurant/ business response would have been to immediately offer apologies, refunds and/or comps. Instead the staff was defensive and acted like they were doing us a favor by correcting the erroneous charges (which as of the next day have still not been corrected on my account.) I love that the Alamo is here and I’ve only had good experiences here in the past, but this subpar customer service is going to lose the company a lot of business if it continues on in this way. Reading previous reviews it seems like this is a pattern. Nobody goes to the movies expecting their popcorn to go missing while they’re unwittingly paying for their neighbor’s order. And nobody goes to the movies to be lectured by management about why the aforementioned is not problematic. We were only offered minimal “snack passes” after inquiring, and after the manager insinuated that we were being rude and demanding by simply communicating what went wrong and asking how it would be corrected. Instead of feeling appropriately compensated for the trouble the manager left us feeling rejected and insulted. The person sitting next to us (who had their drink charged to our account, and honestly could have left without saying anything and with a free drink) who kindly waited with us to show their receipts and get the charges corrected was actually then charged for the drink and received negative treatment from the manager instead of any type of apology or compensation (or at the bare minimum a free drink on the house!). I’m expecting the same AI-generated response to this as all of the other reviews here, but it would be nice if a human being from the company actually reached out to correct this negative experience.
