FOOD: 1.) ha gow shrimp dumpling 2.) turnip cake = a little seared and crispy quite good 3.) beef ball 4.) jook rice porridge = they didn’t have pei dan thousand yr old egg but it was still good, nice thickness perfect for the rainy day 5.) green bell pepper shrimp 6.) pan seared pork and chive dumpling - yummy Food was overall good 😊 they didn’t have the cherng fun long noodle roll after 3p tho and no pei fan in the jook, but otherwise, I wouldn’t be mad to come back. I’ve always liked all the dim sum palace locations and appreciate they still do serve dimsum past normal dimsum time. SERVICE: Good ATMOSPHERE: It was fine, funny they had brown table covers I wonder if bc they were sick of washing all the damn soy sauce off the traditionally white table cloths! Haha Anyway atmosphere was fine, pretty standard dim sum Chinese restaurant.

exceptional dim sum! we were a party of 4 that ordered 9 things and all walked away with leftovers. so filling! also, all the vegetarian options are labeled with green ink!

This is my first time here and let me say I’ll definitely be back! The customer service is on point and the owner is so sweet. She made sure to come by the table and make sure everyone was well taken care of. I tried literally everything on their menu and I wasn’t disappointed! You have to come here 🤍

Dim sum + Lunch time for a group of 11 ppl today. Good quality foods, some nice options not found in all dim sum spots in China Town - black rice crab fried rice is always a hit. Order a bunch of stuff, get stuff you’ve never heard of, embrace the foods and culture, you might be surprised what you end up enjoying. Been here a few times already. Highly recommended!

Food was very good, how can you be mad at Dimsum late at night. Really enjoyed the crispy garlic short ribs. Staff was very nice, the bathrooms didn’t have a baby changing table so one of the staff took me downstairs to a vip room so I could change my sons diaper.

If you are a restaurant owner, this is your standard. I have to admit that upon being seated we were not comfortable at first. We were not attended to timely but when the staff saw we were serious about what we wanted, they were spectacular. Everything we ate was hot, tasty and just damned delicious! I gauge every Chinese/cantonese restaurant by the pork fried rice. Here? 10/10. Peking Pork chop? 10/10. So was the orange chicken, baseball glove sized oysters, pork spring rolls….on and on. I’ve never been to Chinatown in NYC. I will never forget Dim Sum Palace!.

Finally visited the place that I have heard so many good things abt! The food was in Great portion and tasted way better beyond my expectation!!! I rec' Chicken Congee, bean curd skin roll, and shrimp stuffed Tofu-- definitely will come back again! The place is grand and perfect for a family meal. I visited during the festival and there were 5 lions dancing. Get the discounts during their grand opening soon before it's gone!😍😍😍

We tried two other spots in Chinatown before finding this place. This place should have a higher rating than it does. It was super clean. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the food was great, we had 4 different dim sum things and all were excellent. If you’re looking for a clean spot in Chinatown with good dim sum, this is the place to try.

Very spacious restaurant. All of the food had excellent flavor and was obviously fresh! My favorite is the sweet yolk bun! Definitely worth frequenting.

Dive deep into the heart of Chinatown, and the whispers of dim sum aficionados will invariably lead you to classic haunts like Nom Wah Tea Parlour, Jin Fong, and the illustrious Golden Unicorn. But in this coveted mix, a new contender rises – the Dim Sum Palace. Unlike the nostalgic ambiance of yesteryears, the Palace envelopes you in its modern elegance, underlined by pristine decor and an undeniable aura of sophistication. Every morsel here speaks of freshness and quality – from the succulent Shu Mai to the tantalizing pepper shrimp. The spicy wonton is a fiery dance on the palate, while the steamed pork ribs melt in your mouth. And for a sweet finale? Their coconut cake is the silken touch of dessert dreams. But here's the real gem: a feast here won't have you digging deep into your pockets. A mere $50 can lavishly cater to a party of four. So, frequent often, let your hunger be your guide, and savor the evolving flavors of Chinatown at Dim Sum Palace.

Dim Sum Palace is their 7th location in their storied franchise, offering authentic Cantonese food with ambiance familiar to most family or group dining experiences. I can attest that their chefs and servers are strong in their respective crafts and have had a good time in the times I've been here, which is twice now... I've been here for banquet style dining and dim sum!

Great foods and services. I really love the stir-fry veges and the lobster, so fresh. The dimsum is also AMAZING!!!

This dim sum spot in Chinatown is a gem, especially because it's open late! Affordable prices, quick service, and the perfect place to stop after a long walk from the Brooklyn Bridge. The Chinese tea is so refreshing, and the dumplings—both veg and chicken—are absolutely amazing. Highly recommend if you're looking for delicious dim sum at a great value.

Can’t get enough of this place! Stumbled on this restaurant late one night and now it’s a staple of all our NYC trips. Great prices and delicious food - try the salt and pepper squid and duck spring rolls.

This is by far the best dim sum place (Chinatown NYC) and I’ve been to plenty in my time. Everything is fresh, tasty and delicious. The only complain I would have is on the sticky rices, I wouldn’t get that but everything is worth every penny. Get there early or be prepared to wait in a long line.

J

Typical dim sum fare. Moderately priced, the ordering process (putting the number of items you want against the pictures) is a little weird and it's easy for the waiter to miss stuff. But the food is pretty good and the bathroom is surprisingly clean, for a Chinese restaurant!

Our hero of Chinese New Year 2023! We had such a terrible experience at another nearby restaurant that we had a reservation at but was completely overbooked for the holiday, that we ended up leaving there to look for other options. It was already 10:45pm on a Sunday night, but luckily Dim Sum Palace was nearby and open until 3am. We are so happy with our decision to come here! The menu has many great Cantonese options, including a large selection of dim sum dishes, as well as larger plates for big family-style dinners. The prices for the quality of food were fantastic. We loved all the food we had (especially the Peking duck and pickled cabbage fish soup!) and the service was impeccable. The staff are very warm and welcoming, and they looked to be also enjoying themselves and having a good time on Chinese New Year. Although it was unfortunate circumstance that brought us here, I'm so happy to have found this place and will definitely come back!

Food was delicious and we were served quickly after sitting down. DimSum classics like chicken feet were great. 小笼包 and other dumplings very tasty as well. Nice atmosphere and be sure to order hot tea with your food!

Delicious Dim Sum place. Tried it during the day and late night. They are super busy and packed late night when everywhere else is closed and the food taste good. This is my Go To Dim Sum place for Chinatown area. Service is good and everything is so fresh. Scallion pancake was crispy. If you haven't try, this is best place to get congealed pork blood, super silky and smooth. The Salty Pork Bone Congee paired well with it. The spare ribs with olives is a MUST. I never had this anywhere else. It was always paired with salty black beans but olives made it healthy and gives a unique taste. Highly recommend. Siu Mai was good. All the dumplings was worth a try. The jasmine tea was very fragrant and good quality for the price. Definitely will come back again and again.

This is one of the best Hong Kong/Guangdong restaurants I have tried in New York City! The staff is friendly, dim sum, tofu mushroom is delicious and the garlic chicken is one of the best. I also like the Cantonese music of Hong Kong/Guangdong

Dumplings in Chinatown, NYC. What more could you ask for! We walked in off the street and were immediately greeted and seated, with menus and a rosemary herbal tea provided. The staff were quite busy and took a while to take our order, but once the order was in the food came out very fast. We had the mixed dumplings and the chicken soup dumplings, along with two additional dishes (lo mein and chicken cashew). Delicious meals, great price, good service. Would recommend!

Yummy option for dim sum. My husband and I went at like 11:45am on a Sunday. It was insanely packed but moved pretty quickly. The overall ambiance is fast paced and slightly chaotic. We had about 12 tables ahead of us and only waited for about 15min. Once we were seated we ordered our dim sum. Every thing started coming out pretty fast but there were a few options that were already sold out. Overall pretty good dim sum! Would come back but earlier so we could try everything before it sells out!

Wonderful authentic dumpling experience. We heard this place was open late so we wanted to grab a quick bite while we were in the area. We got the wonton soups and the dumpling sampler and they were perfect for a light bite.

My old man was having a terrible birthday last year and he's never been here. I came once before and everything was so good it's all I could think about. It was pretty close to midnight when I decided I would take him here since everything else closes so early nowadays. They helped save my dads birthday and he isn't an easy person to impress lol He fell in love with the place and we even went back for my mom's birthday. The service is top notch and attentive. The food is somehow even better. I don't really think it matters what you order from their big menu, EVERYTHING is good. Even at 1am the place was still busy. Definitely worth the trip.

Great spot for dim sum in the city! If you are craving some dim sum, you’ll need to check out dim sum palace. They have the classics and many other dishes that are top notch. I really enjoyed their congee and shrimp rice rolls. The beef chow fun was a great noodle texture and is something I’ll be back for! Their dumplings and shumai were fantastic too.

Traditional Dim Sum house minus the trolleys. Lazy Susan's on the tables and more seating for big groups. Had to wait a good while for a table for 2. Selection was large, quality excellent, prices reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Food is good. Prices are reasonable. Easy to order for locals and out of towners. You check off what you want to order with a pen on their paper menu. Seats are fairly comfortable. Tables are large. Doesn't feel cramped. It's a very enjoyable dim sum dining experience. I'm a local and have been here several times.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! I’ve been to this place quite a lot. Between just casual lunches, business lunches, family dinner and big banquets, this place manages to get better each time. The dim sum is fantastic but the rest of their menu is just as good if not better. At first glance they appear to pricier than other similar restaurants, but the flavors are well worth the extra couple of dollars. The portions are plentiful. The places is always packed and for good reason! They do Cantonese style Chinese food really well. If you’re a fan of Cantonese style Chinese food or dim sum this place is a MUST. It’s also one of the few restaurants that stay open late in the post pandemic NYC Chinatown, so if you’re up late with hunger pangs, this is the place for you.

Came for dinner on Saturday night at 9pm and got a table right away. We enjoyed our dimsums. Pork and shrimp shumai was delicious, Peking duck perfectly cooked, pork buns, shrimp dumplings, salt pepper shrimp, soup buns (least favorite as it barely had soup and covering was very thick). Everything else was delicious and service was good.

Came here for dinner with the family and was treated with kindness. Service was awesome and food great. The dishes were a seasoned generously. Veggies were fresh. I haven't been to their other locations throughout the city. I would definitely come back. They served oranges towards the end of the meal. Wu's wonton king was around the corner as well but they refuse to service me ... they're actually racist towards their own kind. I wouldn't bother going there. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

This was a great late night spot. Located in China Town, this restaurant offers authentic New York China Town experience. The dim sum was spectacular, bursting with flavor. This was a fantastic experience, and the food was excellent 👌. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the service. They sat me quickly and provided me a menu to circle what I was ordering. It was a short wait for my meal while I drank the tea they brought to the tablet. I would recommend this restaurant.

I had a wonderful Chinese Banquet meal with friends at Dim Sum Palace. It was multiple courses and our waiter was a terrific shepherd on what and how much to order. Staff was responsive and portions sizes were great. The Peking Duck was terrific as well as how they presented it. Seafood was good and the shrimp dumplings we all enjoyed. All the dishes were solid and we finished them. I would definitely return with a friend or a group for a full banquet celebration again

I really liked the shrimp stuffed pepper and also the chicken shu mai was really flavorful. The ambiance was good and so was the tea they give you. I liked the fish tanks and also the image projected on the wall. We are these like egg yolk buns last and those were good so shoutout Kevin for the recommendation.

Excellent experience from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Everything came out hot and well-prepared, and the portions were generous. Service was attentive without being rushed, and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. This is a solid spot for quality dim sum and a place I’d confidently return to and recommend.

The food here is so good. The lobster for lunch special is amazing. The red rice roll just blew my mind. I just pick this restaurant very randomly on Google and it actually surprised me. Another dish that I would recommend is garlic spared ribs. It’s so flavorful and juicy inside even though it was fried. My party is 5 and average is 35 per person. Very good deal in New York. The staff is pretty nice. Definitely recommend and will comeback!!!!!

Authentic dim sum. Everything was delicious. We got the beef fun chow noodles, dim sum platter , pork and shrimp shu mai, shrimp and pork dumpling, and pork and chive dumpling. We ordered the sweet milk bunnies but sadly they were out. The sweet sesame balls were a fine substitute. Service was good but a bit chaotic compared to a traditional American restaurant. At first we thought we were being ignored but realized the server was standing politely behind us waiting. Lol. You need to mark your choices with a pen like a sushi menu. (Didn't see the pen) Dishes were brought out as each was ready. Not all at once. We came at lunch during week and no wait but hear there is long wait on weekends. There is a large step out front but Disabled can ring bell and someone will bring out a ramp. I give it 4/5 for accessibility. Can take the M103 or M9 bus from near the oculus/WTC to get here. Then two blocks away from Catherine St. stop in Chinatown.

Having dim sum brunch couple times, all dim sum, fried rice and fried noodles tried so far are all above standard and delicious at reasonable price. Have to come earlier than meal time or else have to wait longer time. All the servers are smart, helpful and attentive, quick response to requests and care on your orders! Satisfied dim sum fest every time!

This place was fun! It was the first resturant my daughter wanted to go to in NYC and I can see why. As we walked in, nearly all the tables were taken by what I assume were locals. Which to me is always a good sign. The food was great! We felt a little ignored by the staff, but getting their attention wasn't hard and they were very nice when we did. There was also a fish in the wall that seemed to fall in love with my wife. What a fun and tasty experience!

Love coming here with our family for dinner. Can be busy, so you should make a reservation. Out of town family looks forward to returning for their Peking duck and fried flounder. Loved it so much, we went back twice in a week.

Came here for dinner. This is one of several chain restaurants that serves dim sum all day so you can eat breakfast goodies at any time of day. Everything we had was great except for the quail, which was pretty skinny and didn't have a lot of meat to it. The fried intestines, twin lobsters cooked with ginger and scallion were great. The beef chow fun was a decent size, and we had some much food we had it for takeout.

s

The Dim Sum in Chinatown is authentic; it is prepared mainly for the district residents and with original flavors. We ate at Palace DimSum before the Corona and tried once more after it was renovated. The DimSam was good, not beyond. The selection is very large, the prices are fair, and the service is pleasant, but, yet it is not perfect.

e
edwin liu

I came here late in the evening at 9pm and it was pretty lively as well. I love that they are open late. There's a bunch of seating and it's definite great for groups. The ambiance is great, and there's a huge tv on the back wall. They take card! The food itself is authentic and good but I think it's way overpriced for dim sum. There are no carts being pushed around, you have to order on a printed out menu with pictures for each of the dishes. The steamed dim sum took a while to come, but that might be a good thing because that would mean they make it fresh.

N
Nicole Pancotto

Went here for dinner with a large group. Food came out fast, large portions, and everything was very tasty. Only major disappointment was the steamed fish which lacked flavor. I’ve been here for dim sum before and loved it. I would recommend their dim sum over their dinner menu

Friendly staffs, quick service. But oily and quite heavy food, wished it was lighter or slightly more refreshed. Standard classics dishes tho!

M
Michele Kim

It was pretty good but would have to return when it’s less busy to better test the service. We went on Saturday at almost 11 and the place was full. The dishes came out very slowly, like 1 every 15 mins or longer so that was a little weird.

I came here on a late Saturday night and was able to get seating right away. The restaurant is pretty big, but it's hard to get a table on a busy night. I had the Mongolian Beef and Scallion Pancakes. Both were very good, but I really loved the Mongolian Beef. The flavor was excellent and didn't taste bland at all. It didn't come with a side of rice like most Chinese restaurants.

K
Ken Gurian

Gotta try new things and places. This was rated very high so we tried it. It was ok. The food was good but , while I like Chinese food, it was not for me. The service was fine and the food hot and tasty but if you're looking for big portions , nope. Maybe a big group would be more fun.

A

Dim sum was good but took forever to arrive as the wait staff messed up the order they input into the system. Shrimp stuffed pepper could have better presentation as it’s too watery and slips apart when you pick it up. Beef tripe could be a bit more quantity, plate is small. Egg tarts are mini ones, might want to skip this and go to a nearby bakery for larger ones. Bathroom could be cleaner, floor at the urinals was wet. It seems if you know people at the restaurant you’ll get to skip ahead of people who have a number waiting.

Environment: located on a less crowded street with prominent location, relatively easy to find. The interiors are well decorated and tables are spread out in good distance so it won’t feel noisy as smaller restaurants. Overall 4/5⭐️ Food: Cucumber salad was ok, definitely not a must-have appetizer, slightly sour but not enough soy sauce. You can add their chili oil, which was flavorful. 3/5⭐️ Shrimp rice rolls had rice rolls on the thicker side, but shrimp was juicy, bouncy, and well seasoned, definitely give it a try. Turnip cake had good portion and quality ingredients. The umami from shrimp and dried scallops really comes through. 4/5⭐️ Durian custard puff pastry was definitely one of the best I’ve tried in Chinatown. Its shell was crispy and had a hefty, flavorful portion of durian. Good contrast of creamy and crunchy texture. Don’t miss out if you like durian. 4/5 ⭐️ Chicken feet is one of my must-have order at every dim sum restaurant to test out their chef’s skills. Just like you order mapo tofu at any Sichuan restaurant if you plan to become their regular. This restaurants deliver a good quality chicken feet with the right tenderness and flavors. The skin and tendons fell apart from the bone easily. Seasoning a bit on the sweeter side, which is not major but noticeable. 4/5 ⭐️ Shrimp dumpling is another highly technical that can tell you how skillful the chef is. While some restaurants resort to heating up frozen shrimp dumplings, I’m glad that this place is has not breach that trust. Semi-translucent wrapper and juicy bouncy shrimps. This dish delivers. 4/5 ⭐️ Seafood shumai is a classic to order as previously mentioned good quality. Flavors and quality are on point but not the top-tier. 3.5/4⭐️ Salted egg yolk here is my favorite dish I tried so far! Its bun was fluffy, pillowy soft while it’s fillings were piping hot and semi-fluid. Amazing texture and savory flavor of salted egg yolk. Definitely order this and it won’t disappoint. 5/5⭐️ Service: Fast service with good amount of attentiveness, but they did miss to deliver one of our dishes. 4/5⭐️

New in Chinatown, away from the main streets so less people on Sat morning. Service was good, food was decent, portions were generally good and price accordingly. Tri-sauce plate was cool. Durian pastry was meh. Cheong fun didn't taste freshly made, on the thick side. Siu mai tasted good but smaller in size compared to other places. Har gao was good. Beef balls were ok. Char siu pau was good. Turnip cake was good. Stuffed peppers were meh, not spicy.

A pretty nice, and expensive place for dim-sum with a huge selection of food. I came here for a wedding and the food was very flavorful, and the ingredients were very fresh. The atmosphere is also great here bustling, with decoration, cleanliness, and so on.

This restaurant is always busy, so be prepared for a wait. There’s additional seating downstairs for larger groups, with quicker service, while the upstairs offers a better ambiance. The traditional dim sum carts no longer seem to be in use—perhaps a post-pandemic adjustment—so orders are placed by marking the menu instead. The food remains delicious, but during peak hours, some orders may get overlooked.

Food was excellent. Tastes very fresh. Yum. Enjoyed it all. Busy n had a wait of 20 mins for a table.

I like Dim Sum Place and I would definitely go again. Reason for the 4 stars was at 2pm and still a line when we were leaving at 3pm they ran out of some food like the egg tart and sweet milk buns. But the food that did come was good. Also the food came at a very slow speed maybe it was made to order. We only waited maybe 15 minutes without a reservation and didn’t have to share tables. The price was okay, not overly expensive.

Great late night spot for dim sum dishes. Not traditional dim sum with the carts going around but easy to order on the menu and tastes the same. Quick and efficient customer service as well. 4 stars instead of 5 because the prices are inflated in my opinion but I still recommend as everything else was great.

We really enjoyed this place. The location was perfect for our late night dim sum fix! The parking can be tricky in the day, but there is a parking garage close by. At night you get easier choices. This place closes at 3 am, I believe, and the atmosphere is lovely. The staff was friendly and the food was good. The one thing that didn't wow us was the fried rice. It was kind of bland, unfortunately. But the other food was a hit.

Great place for dinner. Fresh seafood especially the live fish and shrimp. They had specials for Chinese New Year.

Excellent for dim sum or late night bite. 👍👍 The duck spring rolls were a big hit. Wok stir fried fish with string beans was sparkling with flavor. PROS: 1) elegant venue & comfortable seating 2) nice ambiance. Suitable for date night 3) unique & extensive array of dim sum 4) quick kitchen to table service 5) BYOB. $10 cork fee per bottle 🙏🏻 6) some high caliber whiskeys available. RIP VAN WRINKLE, McCallan 18 & 25, & etc. CONS: 1) entree dishes are slightly smaller in portion 2) table service can use some checking up on

Shared some smaller plates. A bigger spot than the one in Hell Kitchen. They’re open late and there’s not a wait for two people. Food comes fast and staff are helpful. Not a bad option for late night food if you’re in this area.

Since this is a Dim Sum place, we shared a lot of things here - ended up being 12 different items in total that I tried. I can't get to everything here, but I do want to mention some things that I really liked. The duck spring rolls were my favorite. The crispiness was incredible on these, and the inside was super soft. I also really liked the juicy pork bun, the siu mai, and the golden flowing custard bun. The sweetness combined with the salty egg yolk on the last bun was very good. The one main dish that we got, the Singapore style vermicelli, was also solid. As for things I didn't like as much - the spare ribs were on the chewier side. The fried radish cake was also a skip for me For the price, getting to try out 12 different things, with drinks, and ending up at around $35 per person is honestly a good deal. Overall, this place has pretty good dim sum with a large variety and solid quality. 7.5/10

They have a special lychee shrimp balls which I haven't seen in other places, very unique. Pretty spacious between tables. You put quantity on the blank spot by the picture of the food on the menu and give the whole paper to the staff then wait for your food. Food came out pretty fast too. Must try this place if you're around the area.

Dim Sum Palace nails the experience you’re looking for when going to a Dim Sum restaurant. The interior is classic, it’s loud and vibrant inside (but not too loud), and there’s a large number of options to choose from. We had a rather large party so we had the opportunity to try over 25 dishes - some were a huge hit while others were just okay. It really depends on your preferences because not every dish is going to be something you’re going to want. I thought the duck was great though I wish there was a bit more. I also really enjoyed the shmai and shrimp dumplings - both were packed with meat and decent quality. The staff were friendly and packed the majority of the food up since we ordered a bit too much (they even warned us)! I thought my time here was great and I would come back in the future if I had a large group that wanted Dim Sum - it’s a no frills place that nails the basics pretty well. I’d say make a reservation beforehand because every table was filled by the time we left which was peak dinner time on a weekday.

Tucked away on Division Street in the less touristic part of Chinatown east of Bowery, Dim Sum Palace is offers an authentic dim sum experience worth seeking out. The restaurant strikes a good balance between traditional charm and modern comfort in an upscale ambiance. Great option for both dim sum aficionados and newcomers alike. Unlike most dim sum places, Dim Sum palace does not have carts working the space. Instead, you place your order by writing how many dishes you want using the menu[1], and dishes are brought to your table directly. While the cart battles are part of the fun of having dim sum, this is certainly more efficient, and will allow you to have any dish you want. All the dishes we tried were good: from the shrimp dumplings ($5.95 for 4) to the shredded roast duck dumplings ($5.95 for 3) and the taro, cilantro, and pork dumplings ($4.95 for 3); from the shrimp rice noodle roll to the shrimp stuffed with egg plant ($5.95 for 3) and the shrimp dumplings with mayo and corn ($5.95 for 3). My favorite dish were the seafood peashoot dumplings ($5.95 for 3). Prices are slightly higher that other more casual dim sum places in Chinatown. The place is very popular; expect a wait. Alongside the main dining hall, there are also rooms below street level that, although not particularly fancy and window-less, will get the job done if all you care about is food. Open late at night (10am - 3:30am). ---------------------------------- [1] The menu has a picture for every dish, making it easier for less experienced dim sum goers to pick what they want.

The shumai and fried chive dumplings were packed with filling and delicious, but the xiaolongbao had a thick wrapper and lacked enough filling, making it less satisfying. The taste is good, but at this price, it might be worth considering other options.

Passing through Chinatown, we decided to briefly stop here to try the vegetable dim sum platter. Also had the complimentary tea. It was not bad. Sticky and packed with veggies. The restaurant was hosting a party. We had to find a waiter to pay for our order. Bathroom available in the basement.

Very welcoming host, but felt very pressured to order, eat and pay. Food is great, service was good but communication through out experience in English was somewhat difficult.

The restaurant looks really nice. Instead of having carts, they decided to go with ordering off the paper menu. It’s nice that everything comes hot and crispy but then for just a few dishes, took a really long time. Then they also forgot our other dish so we canceled on that. It’s kinda pricey per dish also. I think I prefer the carts. You get all your food super quick and it just feels more traditional.

This place brings back memories of pre-hipster C-town when the Atlantic City buses would drop off customers on the Bowery at 2AM and you could still get live seafood 🦞 from the water tank displays in the front windows. This is a chain restaurant that should be applauded for bringing back traditional Cantonese fare (think: Sun Lok Kee; Noodle Town; Wo Hop - upstairs; early-2000's Congee Village & Big Wongs). Alas, 😕 dim sum was not what was usually ordered at 2AM those days and Pell and Doyer Streets were no go zones after 9pm. The food here is acceptable and the staff here is definitely well above average food C-town. Prices are mainstream NYC tourist vs local Chinese family friendly. Still have to give this place a ton of credit to buck the NYC trend and open until 2AM. If they up their food game a little, this (and their uptown spots) can be the new Canto hangout for off-duty chefs since Wu's closes early. The local NYPD uniforms were enjoying themselves here the night we visited, so security here must be A-OK.

Definitely delicious Dim Sum; it was a weekday lunch, so it was busy; We had to go to the 2nd floor. The decoration is sober. There were several groups of professionals. Service was slow, even though we didn't have a big order, and even for my drink, and we never got the sauteed veggies platter together with the rest of the meal, although we were told it was "on its way".

We arrived around 11:45 on a Friday and it was pretty packed. We were told it would be a 20-25 min wait. About 20 min into the wait the maître d’ set up one of the empty tables with a tablecloth, plate, tea cup and chopsticks. We ordered 5 things off the menu — 1 cold dish and 4 steamed. The cold dish (spicy marinated cucumbers) arrived quickly along with our jasmine tea. The steamed dishes arrived about 15-20 min after the cold dish. The value for money was great but the flavors and quality of the steamed dumpling skins were not great (sticking, falling apart and too thick for the xiaolongbao). The Google ratings for this place helped me make the decision but I wouldn’t come here again. The cold cucumber and woodear cold dish was the best. Neighboring tables that ordered the lobster or seafood fried rice also looked happy.

My mother had her birthday dinner there at the basement in a private room. The service was pretty good although they kept rushing us politely without saying they needed the room back which was done very skillfully. There's karaoke in the room which was nice. The service was very attentive, there would always be a server around when you needed something. The food on the other hand was very mediocre for the price. Everything was bland and I meant every single dish. But also let me say the restaurant was packed and from what others had told me personally, the food is usually better. Most of the meats we had taste like freezer burn except for the seafood. Some dishes was overcooked including the fresh fish we had. I think everything could've been slightly better. Don't get me wrong the dishes doesn't taste bad, it just felt like everything is missing a little something. Maybe I'm asking for too much.

We checked google and it had 4.3 stars so We went for lunch. The place was packed and big so we thought great we will wait. The lady at the front said it would be 15 minutes but it was more like 30-40 minutes wait. They sat us down and we didn’t have anyone take our order for another 10 minutes at least. We circled what we wanted on the menu and waited. They bring things out as they are made. My friend orders spare ribs which no one liked. We ordered lists of dim sum and buns and a beef noodles dish and for dessert we got the milk bunny’s. Everything needed flavor added to it. It was all bland. They brought tea to the table right away but we had to ask for water. I won’t be going back. I’ve had much better dim sum and service at other restaurants.

***wire and feather in food, MULTIPLE order discrepancies on receipt*** We came here and were at first satisfied - the shrimp dumplings, sesame balls, and shiu mai were very fresh and tasty, but as the meal went on more and more things went wrong. They initially forgot half our order. When we received the $13.95 fried soft shell crabs - which implied there would be more than one crab - we received a singular soft shell crab halved. It tasted rancid so we did not eat it. Following this we found a feather fried onto the pork ribs, and my partner bit into a wire in the ribs as well. We gave up eating after this. After pointing out the multiple foreign objects in the ribs they comped the ribs, but bungled the check. They double charged us for half of our orders and charged us for 3 rices when we only got one. We had to have them correct the receipt twice. I did not tip and will not be back. It was extremely busy but that doesn’t excuse off seafood and foreign objects.

The best thing we got was the orange chicken and fried rice. otherwise, all of the dim sum appetizers we ordered were not that great. The meat tasted off to me like old fishy meat if that makes sense. The service was very slow we had to flag down our waiter for every thing.

Reading through comments solidifies my thoughts that we were, too, discriminated against for our race. My family wanted to eat here and walked in. Plenty of open seats. We were told they had no space for us. I told them we would wait for a table (even though half the tables were empty) and they still said there was no space. Disappointing, but honestly, glad I didn’t give them my money. I had to explain to my 2 small children why we couldn’t eat there. 😞

Been here a few times for late dinners. Prices are reasonable, foods above average but their biggest pro was always: open late AND they take credit card, which stands out in Chinatown. We have paid credit card every single time.. until today. After we had our meal, we were told they changed their policies and no longer accept any form of credit card payments or ApplePay or tap payments. I literally saw another party pay with their card when we were dining there but when it came our turn, they only take cash. We didn't want to cause a scene and scrambled amongst our party to come up with enough cash for both the bill and tip and just ended up paying the cash but after leaving, the whole experience left me feeling some type of way. When you walk in, on their front door are multiple Mastercard VISA AMEX stickers stating they accept credit card. And if your policy just changed, we should be told before our meal when we sit down that you are now a cash only establishment, not after our meal. Also it feels like our party was singled out today because I literally just saw someone paid with their card so what do you mean it's cash only? This is deceptive business practice at the minimum and I couldn't sleep without speaking up. Merry Christmas - I will not be dining here again.

Average experience here. Food was so mediocre and got practically zero service. I don’t recommend there are way better restaurants in Chinatown

Worst service I have experienced in my life (This is the only time I have ever left a review of a restaurant, it was truly that shitty). I was with a party of 7, we were seated in a "VIP" room, which was also being occupied by staff members who were on their break, wildly unprofessional. Numerous discrepancies with our order, ultimately my friends and I decided to leave before receiving all of our food due to the staffs inattentive behavior. They could not care less about our being there.
