Sandwiches was sumptuous and staff was quick to process the order maybe because it was not busy. Food was served very nicely with sauces and pickles packed seperately on the side. Hot mint tea was also very nice and mint was refreshing. Will definitely patronise again!
Excellent Falafel, great hummus - we'll definitely be back!
Love this location, regular lunch location. Would highly recommend. Friendly and quick service.
The food was good! Enjoyed the falafel and pita! Staff were nice. The location makes it easy to access with A/C/1/2/3 trains, m22 bus and m9 bus nearby. The house-made lemonade with ginger and turmeric is also great! Great options if you’re vegetarian.
This place has turned into my favorite falafel spot in NYC. The falafel is expertly prepared, not too crunchy, nor too soft. Plus they have different flavors! Highly recommend.
4 Stars... I've been working in this neighborhood for over a year. On this chilly autumn 🍁 day, I took a lunch break and was looking for a quick salad 🥗. I stopped by Nish Nush and while waiting to place my order, I overheard a customer ordering soup 🍲. I thought 🤔 to myself, "Hmm, that sounds nice and totally appropriate to warm up my core." When I got to the counter, I asked about the soups. There were two (2) offered on the menu for the day: Split Pea 🫛 and Tomato Lentil 🍅. I received a sample of both and had a hard time deciding which to choose. I chose the Split Pea and was immediately a fan. Shout Out to Chef Delfino...
I love it here. The falafel is delicious, the pita is fluffy. I don’t remember what I got but it’s the most basic falafel sandwich they have and it was amazing. Perfectly filling, with Israeli salad, tahina, falafel and pickles, more tahina and shug on the side. Great affordable kosher option in Manhattan.
One word- it was a wonderful experience. All veg menu with so many delicious options and so pocket friendly. I visited Nish Nush based on a friend’s recommendation and must say, it was worth visiting. Everything that we ordered was delicious. I could not understand the names in menu even being on English, but staff there was so helpful who patiently answered all my queries and helped to make choices for my dinner on the day. It is one of very few places that also offer drinking water free of cost and that also adds to the good service. I do recommend the place. Do try the soups, if you are visiting there.
We were hungry and uncertain about where to eat (first time in this area). I checked the map and discovered a nearby restaurant. I'm glad I found it, we loved it! Everything was amazing, especially my Ginger Lemonade. When we arrived, it was raining, so the restaurant was empty. A few minutes later, it filled up with other customers. The ambiance was nice, with the music playing at just the right volume.
The soup was so good and I love soup. They have real vegan options. I liked the kale salad bowl, I just didn't like the mushrooms because they taste like bought mushrooms that had been sitting in brine too long or too much vinegar and rubbery. Everything else I order was great! The falafel burger was soooo good. The humus with mushrooms was amazing. The staff was amazing too.
Absolutely loved the falafel and hummus here! We tried the deluxe sandwich and hummus platter and they were fab! The falafel burger was yum too. The hummus and tahini have a super creamy texture. Also, the fixings and sauces are amazing and pair perfectly well. The portion size here is huge. This place is vegan and vegetarian friendly so the veggie options are plenty on the menu. I would highly recommend giving this place a try.
The falafel here is 🔥 ~Vegetarian kosher Mediterranean food; uber-generous portions; flavorful and fresh; excellent value. 100% recommend for anyone looking for a quick, plant-based meal. Can’t always luxuriate over a meal and wait for your tab, so I appreciate counter-service food that’s memorably high-quality.
Fabulous! Better than expected! I got the deluxe vegan pita! I love all the fixings and boy, does Nish Nush provide. I think I preferred the fixings and sauce and pita to the falafel but the entire combo is a dream! All the pickles, cabbage and tahini sauces and fried eggplant included. Omg yes
We had really good vegatarian Shawarma and a Bowl of Salad. Both really good and large portions. We also had a vegetable soup which was good too. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Suggestions for improvements: please consider to use normal/washable dishes & cutlery for guests who're eating on-site in the restaurant (instead of plastic forks, plastic bowls with lid for the soup, etc.).
Overall, we had a great experience and delicious food! If you’re in the area and looking for Mediterranean, I’d give this place a try. We tried all 4 of their sandwiches. Everyone really liked theirs but there are a few key things to note. Heat levels are relative but the guy in our group who got the Red Hot Chili said it really wasn’t that hot. I’m not sure how else to guide outside of, he loves his food spicy and he rated this as low spicy. For the Popeye Delight, the main comment was too much red cabbage, not enough spinach. We all agreed that the Tahini sauce was great! Really good sauce composition here 🙌 We all also agreed that the portions were bigger than we were expecting which was great. We got a hummus appetizer but couldn’t finish it since we started to eat it after we had our sandwiches. Lastly, I’m giving it a 4-star for service because it wasn’t too busy when we were there but the tables were a little dirty. We wiped it up no problem but still something we shouldn’t have to do as customers. Should you visit this spot, I hope you enjoy as much as we did 👍
I’ve been to one other Nish Nush location before: this one’s much nicer (in terms of ambience and service), but the food appears to be regularly great! I had their deluxe sandwich this time, and it was - literally- overflowing with all the good stuff: lots of protein and veggies. It comes with pickles, tahini, and crushed chili on the side (I finished all of those too, because the center of the sandwich tends to be a bit dry). I love that their menu is entirely vegan! Also met the nicest staff! Dining here made for a most pleasant evening - I’ll definitely be back.

I got the kebab sandwich which was packing with flavor. Service was fast and the place was packed. I came in not knowing it was a vegetarian restaurant, but left pleasantly satisfied.

Service was great, the vegan food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable! It was busy on a warm, sunny Sunday afternoon.

Love this spot for fresh, flavorful Israeli-Mediterranean vegetarian eats in Tribeca! The food is top-notch: classic falafel sandwich was crispy, herby, and perfectly stuffed with hummus, tahini, Israeli salad, and pickles—best I've had in NYC. Tried the sabich too (eggplant, hard-boiled egg, amba—addictive), and the chili falafel burger for a fun spicy twist. Portions generous and everything tastes super fresh. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient—great even during the lunch rush. Atmosphere is bright, welcoming, and cozy with that chill downtown energy—feels like a hidden gem you want to keep coming back to. Highly recommend for a healthy, delicious meal!
Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 I wanted to try this since I never had Israeli food and it’s highly rated & a bit different than the usual stuff you get. I went around 8:45pm on a weekend & could get a places to sit easily. It, however, filled up quickly after that. I had Vegan Shawarma. The taste was good. The only downside was the oil that accumulated at the bottom below the bread. But overall it was good & filling.
We visited during a weekday visit to the city. Was crazy crowded but the service was excellent. Everyone from the guy at the order counter, to the chefs and servers worked in unison and super fast.Limited menu and seating but looked like a popular spot with loads of regular customers. The food is okay, not the greatest! Ordered the deluxe pita sandwich and the red hot chilli pita sandwich. These were of decent portion, loaded actually, stuffed with veggies and eggplant. Not the best pita sandwich I have had but I guess these are of Israeli cuisine.Never had one so can't comment on the authenticity! All food was served hot and within a few minutes.Overall happy with the service,a tad bit costly for the pricing and seating arrangements could have been better.
My friend recommended it. ("Prices are pretty decent, considering.") She and I will be going there this week.

I used to really like this place. But seems they have made some changes; you can't order on the phone anymore, only on the website (annoying). And you can't do substituions anymore. I ordered a falafel sandwich and don't like onions so asked if they could swap the israeli salad for beets or anything else. They wanted a $3 surcharge. Forget it. It's the little things that make or break customer loyalty. Hope they can make some improvements and I'll be back!
The food is good. But the people who work here are really slow and the environment inside is kinda dirty and worn down. This used to be a really nice place but the inside has deteriorated. Although the food service workers wear gloves, the cashiers don’t and they are sometimes the last ones to touch your food. Also pay attention to their pricing policy too. If you want a regular falafel, it’s 11.50. If you order for pickup it’s 12.50. And if you don’t want a pita it’s +$2.00 (pickup or in store). So $14.50 for the same food.
I found this restaurant because I was searching for one that would offer dishes that were not full of onions and garlic. I had a sandwich and lemonade. The sandwich and lemonade were ok. They did…
