Opinions de Poetica Coffee Albee Square
Is it possible to give a place more than 5 stars? I wish!! This place is so aesthetic, it reminds me of a museum. It’s got that academia vibe to it that feels like everyone is deeply invested in an essay, book, or novel they’re writing. Definitely a busy spot so patience is key in getting a spot! It’s cozy, has outlets, plants, framed artwork, it’s open later, and has a kind and talented barista on the job. What more could you want? Loved it here! The Yuzu Tea I had was perfect. A citrus-tea dream. Thanks Poetica!!
Good coffee. Really liked the spinach feta pastry Handicap accessibility: No step entrance. No step to ordering. No step to bathroom. Large enough for wheelchair. No grab bars by toilet. Knee space under sink.
I love this café. The coffee is delicious. The croissants and apple tarts are my favorite such a cool vibe and relaxing atmosphere.
This coffee shop is such a cozy spot. Hernán offers superb customer service and always recommends new things. My go to is a chai latte and on a warm day, a dirty chai. Either or always a yummy experience!!
My iced vanilla latte was on point. It was really clean and it smelled like amazing coffee.
Such a charming sister coffee shop to Park Slope’s own Poetica on 7th Avenue and 5th Street. ❤️ Wonderful coffee and breakfast treats. They make their own croissants! The newly renovated shop is so inviting and has the prewar feel. I am thrilled they kept the tin ceiling and medallions 😍 I sat and worked at 8:45. Not too busy, but a constant stream of customers getting to go. And they have a back garden as well. 👍
Coffee is delicious. I always go with an Americano. The staff is nice. It’s a nice ambient. Poetica also stood up and called for an end to the war on Gaza. What’s there not to like?
The best coffee and matcha on Smith St - period. Affordable price! Thank you guys! You make my mornings special! I love to start the day with a walk to your place, full of aroma of warm and fresh baked croissants. Coffee is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. Everyone is friendly here.
The backyard is so gorgeous. I love the decor and the grape vines above. It’s a lovely, natural place to enjoy friendship and coffee.
The best ever blueberry scone I ever had, which is not overly sweet and has an amazing texture. Great matcha latte, beautiful tasteful decor and a very nice back garden. Will be back!
It's my wonderful neighborhood coffee shop! I like to enjoy a little bit of their refreshing Arnold Palmer while sitting on the bench right outside of the shop. They bake soft and buttery croissants that my mom likes to buy for me to enjoy with my special drink that the barista makes just for me. Also they have a cool backyard with WiFi for grownups to do their work and since everyone is already tired of sitting at home this happens to be very nice! This is why I give this shop, 5 Stars!🌸
Good coffee and chill friendly service. A selection of desserts and savory snacks. Nice cozy backyard with a lot of plants
Great spot! They bake croissants! Coffee here is really good,I love Cold Brew and flat white with oatly!
Thank you for bringing back your delicious lemon bar! It’s a perfect accompaniment to your bold americano. And thank you to the nice barista who was kind and efficient. Smith street is so great! What a nice street, with nice businesses and nice people ❤️
My fave cafe in my neighborhood. Such nice people and great coffee.
I had a great study session here, i enjoyed the outdoor seating. The baristas were nice to talk to, and not just in a short friendly "welcome" way, in a real, they really wanted to know me way. Try the matcha, i recommend it, however the pastries were just not really for me, personal preference
came in today for a few hours and got a lot of work done. okay, *some* work done. but still immaculate work vibes. the music was good from what i could hear, even though i had my own headphones. also very clean and the bathroom was clean too which definitely matters. their cold brew was pretty solid.
This has been the third time that I have gone to poetica to get a chai latte with almond milk. Irregular size is 626 and I have been charged $7.10 for the large size and yet they give me the regular size it’s not to say that the place is busy usually I’m the only one at the register but the fact that they keep overcharging me and giving me something that I did not ask for is lack of customer service. I’m gonna take my money elsewhere.
There is no excuse for this. I understand that baristas and managers have no control over what graffiti is left in an establishment's restroom, but it is abysmal that this has been left to be seen by customers without someone taking action to cover it up. I only regret that I did not raise this issue to the barista on staff, but as a visibly Jewish customer, I hope that anyone seeing this can understand that I would not feel comfortable if these are the types of patrons welcomed here. That said, this should not be a privately-raised concern. This is in a public restroom for anyone to see, and three blocks away from a synagogue. If someone felt like they could leave this here, and nobody bothered to cover it up, that is a public message to the local Jewish community. So here is mine.
It was an expensive cup of coffee. The shop smelled very stinky of cleaning detergent. Maybe Fabuloso. So I took my coffee to go. But unfortunately my paper cup was so saturated with the smell- that I could actually smell and taste the cleaner OVER the coffee. Ungraceful.
