吃起來像水晶腸粉🤤新鮮出爐好吃😋 Probably the best rice roll shop, even better than dim sum restaurants. The skin is thin like crystal and doesnt break easily. Freshly made by orders and CASH ONLY. And plz dont go viral its going to ruin for the locals who wanna enjoy a quick tasty meal without having to line for hours.
The rice roll was so thin and so many fillings to taste. I loved the dried baby prawns.
Delicious and fast service. Cash only by the way!!! For the price it’s so worth it and the rice rolls are so pillowy soft.
Yup This is it Best rice roll I've ever had. Bar has been raised. This one is amazing. Thing and delicate but right amount of chew. Fresh and flavorful filling. Shrimp and egg was killer.
It is a hole in the wall place. Not a lot of seats and I can’t get steamy inside. However, this is my favorite rice roll place in Chinatown. The rice roll is super thin and packed with flavor and lots of protein options. It is veggie friendly as well!
I was craving Shrimp Rice Rolls, and on a chilly Thursday night, there was wall stool seating. Staff were friendly and I loved being able to see the staff cook the shrimp and scrape up the steamed shrimp and rolls. Everything looks clean and organized. I got two servings and they were able to accommodate my request to squish them into one container. It was deeeelisious!!!! Got my fix and would come back here. All under $15.00.
hands down the best rice roll, i come here 2-3 times a week for lunch. weekend waiting times can be up to 1hr during peak, be prepared. for the portion and quality of the rice roll honestly i think they’re undercharging, inside is narrow and seating very limited. but eating it fresh is the BEST. edit: i come so often they know my order before i say it already lol
This place is underrated! Compare to tiktok viral place for rice roll place, i think this place needs to go viral The lady who got our order is so sweet and she was honest about what she would recommend. This place takes both cash/card. This place has place to seat but very limited! The shrimp was very fresh, quantity & quality both chef kiss! I would def visit here again next time!
Best rice roll we’ve had in china town. Slightly more expensive versus the cheong fun cart but I think the value for this outweighs the “nickle and dining”. Larger portion size and fresh shrimp. They charge extra for more sauce like peanut sauce. Worth a stop by but tbh wouldn’t go out of my way for it
I love how they made by order. Every rice rolls were made traditionally dish by dish. Also, they freshly mill the starch out and use the steamed trays which I like those things so much. They have sauce and chilli oil on the tables for you to add on. The store was small with only a few seats. The area was pretty clean. We also got good service though.
Nobody be talkin bout these rice rolls but… there’s always a line and they’re FIRE. The curry fish balls are the best I’ve had. The rice rolls are suppppeerrr thin and silky. So so good. If you order of Fantuan it’s a lot faster. Just sayin. I went in person at like 11am one time and it was a 45 minute wait.
BEST rice rolls in NYC. Truly the lightest, thinnest, fluffiest I’ve ever had. Like a cloud! Everything else is a brick in comparison. Made to order; My faves are shrimp with scallion and egg with scallion. BUT….there’s one guy making every order by hand, so it is sloooooow. Sometimes wait time is 30-45min after you place your order. Even more annoyingly, at opening, they will fill all phone orders before even getting to the in-store orders of waiting customers.
One of my favorite spots to get fresh made-to-order rice rolls in Chinatown! The cheung fun here are hefty, about $5 each, the ingredients are very fresh, and you get to see the whole process of them being made. Love these soft, silky, smooth, delicate, steamy, bouncy, hot, stretchy blankets of deliciousness. One of my favorites is the curry fish ball rice rolls. Remember to add your free vegetable topping to the rice rolls - you get a choice of bean sprouts, scallions, or lettuce! We like to add bean sprouts for the extra crunch. West Rice Roll King in Chinatown is the real deal for made-to-order rice rolls. Everything is prepared fresh, so be ready to wait—sometimes 30 minutes, sometimes over an hour—but it’s absolutely worth it. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, portions are generous, and the prices are very affordable for the quality. A true Chinatown gem if you have the patience.
Had the curry fish ball with rice roll and the mixed sauce rice roll, quite full for snack. Though the rice roll is different than those we have in Hong Kong/Cantonese style, these rice rolls are super thin, silky and chewy. Fish balls are tasty, and we love the spicy hot sauce! Waiting time around 20min, we have to walk around and back for the order. People are packed inside and outside the small store, hard to grab a seat in store, we enjoyed the rice rolls in the park. Really good comfort food.
AMAZING. Hearty, filling, healthy and affordable. Nothing to complain about. If you like cilantro, please try the cilantro roll because it is absolutely delicious and fragrant. Shrimp roll is unbeatable as well. Very limited seating but there’s a park nearby so it’s worth to take away. I’d suggest not getting the take away packages for the environment as the park is really just a walk away.
Small space but fresh, tasty rice rolls. We ordered a simple beef rice roll and another beef rice roll but it added egg, scallion, and cilantro. The food was ready in about 10 minutes and they were very hot and fresh. They give you a small container of soy sauce and chili oil for take out orders. There are only about 4-5 seats along the wall so seating is very limited. If you plan on ordering food from here, I recommend taking the food to go and eating your meal across the street at the park.
These chinese layered rice rolls are deeeelish! It comes with a cup of soy sauce and hot sauce, separate. The rice rolls are very fluffy and light meaning not too filling like fried foods or a sandwich, so you don't get the Itis after. It's mainly carbs and you have a choice of vegetarian, pescatarian, or meat options. It costs around $5 for a plate, and thats all you need to get a quick lunch before your main course for dinner somewhere in Manhattan. The restaurant itself is very cramped but there is a nearby park, like half a block away, Sara D Roosevelt Park. There are plenty of outdoor benches to sit and eat. They forgot to give my friend napkins, but luckily I bring some with me on outdoor trips. I recommend the curry fish ball rice rolls.
This place is super clamped and has about 4 seats so it's hard to find a seat because it'll most likely be taken. I came at about 5:30pm on a Sunday and was lucky that there wasn't a line of people waiting to order so the service was quick. Food: The cheung fun is super super thin. While watching the cook make it, he put a small amount of the batter onto a large flat sheet pan and spread it on every corner — this helps to achieve the thinness of the rice noodles. Personally, i prefer the thinner rice noodles compared to thicker ones in texture. I love that they added a decent amount of meat compared to other places I've been to that skimp on the meat. I also added an egg (extra $1) which enhances the taste a lot! I do wish that they gave more soy sauce in the little containers. But overall, it was so silky, thin, and delicious. This place gives me a lot of nostalgia, back to when I was a kid going to school in Chinatown and every morning, my mother would take me to a small store on East Broadway & Essex that sold dim sum and rice noodles.
If you love fresh, perfectly made rice rolls /cheung fun WEST RICE ROLL KING is a must-visit for a snack attack! 😋 The texture was silky and delicate, and the fillings were flavorful and well-balanced. The service was quick and friendly, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. There’s a small counter like 4 seat long to slurp your rolls down or you can order for take out. Whether you’re a fan of classic rice rolls or want to try something new, this spot delivers. Definitely a gem in NYC!
The best rice rolls I’ve ever had! We initially wanted to go to another popular rice roll spot, but they were closed. This place is a little far away from the hub of Chinatown, but so worth the walk. We’re glad we found it! The dough was light and chewy, and the meat was flavorful. The two people working were also super sweet. There’s a little bar area for you to sit and eat, which we enjoyed. Another great rice roll place for you to stop by when you’re in the area!
Perhaps the best rice roll I’ve ever had and no wonder there is a minimum of 20 minute wait after you place your order. Always busy from morning till night. Each order of rice roll is made right in front of you so you know it’s hot and fresh. Love love love this addition to Chinatown.
