Very nice quiet place for lunch with my husband. The cashier was really attentive she made sure we had everything we needed before the meal arrived. I had a latte and it was perfect made exactly how I like it.
Stopped in here for an early lunch while attending the Florida Bike Safari. Was not disappointed- great comfort food, good coffee, and friendly staff in a very relaxed atmosphere. Since I arrived right as they opened I had the entire place to myself, but I imagine this place is packed with locals after Sunday church or other more regular hours. An excellent local restaurant! 😎👍
So we did go again, closer to 12pm. Wow crowded. However, the food was delicious as before & the service was great. I will say that you might have difficulty finding a table. Some people though. We luckily found a table just vacated. There was a table that had a coffee & a laptop with someone's personal belongings. It sat vacant of anyone & no one else could use this table. Well about 45+ minutes after we had come in, this one guy who had been outside on his phone. We thought nothing of it. Well he came back in. Then sat at his computer working on whatever it was. They get busy & tables fill up plus you have table hogs. There special was a Wardolf Wrap & tried their Potato Bacon soup. Both were delicious. They have a lot of baked goodies. August 2019 We hadn't been here before, we must change that. This place has good food. You can get freshly baked items, delicious soups & sandwiches. I decided to take a chance on their Reuben Sandwich & it is by far one of the best Reuben Sandwiches I have had in years. I was really impressed with their homemade soups & we were going to split a Blondie but took it home. I decided to try it & forgot to share it. It is nice inside. We sat by the window & you can hear the traffic but it isn't so intrusive. Actually the most bothersome noise was by another customer who just had to have a loud cell phone call. This is a small restaurant, most of their business seems more take out. If you must take a call then go outside, esp when people can't hear each other over your obnoxiously loud phone call in such a small area. We will be going again & they close early like 2:30pm.

We started visiting the Downtown Cafe when we moved to Live Oak in 2020. We love the owners and neighbors we meet there so 5 on atmosphere. But the food is awesome. Also loved the way they recovered from devastating flood of our downtown last summer. They are a real service to our community when the hurricanes come through. Thank you so much for all the homemade cakes on Sunday's. Especially Pecan, says Bob. 🥰
Lovely, warm and welcome are the three words that come to mind when I think of this place. Had their Gumbo and peach cobbler and they were wonderful, only to be matched by their friendly customer service. Overall, I will continue to come back.
YES. 5 STARS...................... They know how to make a Sandwich. And the soup was to die for.
The food was amazing.. I wasn't able to ever have a tuna fish sandwich like that in a very long time. The staff here are very helpful and knowledgeable and honest.. I totally recommend this place for a nice light lunch.. a great meet up place.. my husband loves the Ruben.. if I could I would say they deserve a A+.. we all understand that prices are expensive but you are getting the best with high-quality..

“Hey Friend!” Was how I was first greeted my first visit almost a year ago. The way the owner said it she truly means it, it’s all about the tone! Food is always delicious my favorite is the Waldorf chicken salad on a croissant with the fruit cup! Keep up the great work!

As always, the food was scrumptiously delicious! Mom had the Spaghetti special with blueberry cake and I had the Waldorf Chicken Salad on a grilled spinach wrap(has to be my favorite)!!♥️

Service is awesome and the staff are great! The place is always clean and they have the BEST chicken salad croissant sandwich and broccoli and cheese soup in town. Just wish they would be open later for dinner options.

This place was quite quaint an very clean an the food was wonderful an they give ya big portions. An many side choices. The staff was friendly an the food was out with not much wait. I always enjoy little places like this one... The locals seem to like this one as well. I will be back...Big Kudos to this place

Giving them 3.5 stars. I think those who give 5 stars have been sheltered. I'm not saying the place is bad but it has potential to be better. Atmosphere is cute n relaxing. Good place to meet a friend. Service is generally good. Food is ok... They have a nice selection of tasty sandwiches n bread. And I like that not everything is fried (unlike most restaurants around here). but not all items are consistent in quality, i.e., I don't understand how their 'broccoli n cheese' soup is popular when it was great the first time, watery the second time, and super thick-gloppy this time. Other than that, the place is decent. I'd give them a extra star if they had gluten-free options but I suppose that's asking too much.

Update: I would avoid this place if you’re in a hurry. I waited 24 minutes for a wrap. The wrap was good. Not a coffee shop. It’s a sandwich shop or lunch spot with a keurig coffee maker. By the looks of the food, and how busy it is, it’s a good place to eat; however, not a coffee shop.
