L' Osteria del Becco

This was our return visit and our initial thoughts were thoroughly confirmed that Osteria del Becco is one of our favorite restaurants, not only in Mexico City but anywhere. The service is top notch and our Maître d’ Claudio is an exceptional host. We chose to try a few different dishes from our first dining experience so we started with the Steak Tar Tar with crispy ricotta and truffles as well as a beautifully presented beet salad. For our entrees we settled on the Risotto with Veal Shank Osobucco and the Rototelli Lamb Ragu and Ricotta both dishes were amazing. We finished with the one dish we could not stray away from, the Panacotta with Red Chocolate Shell and Berries and Foam. Once again we were more than happy with our entire experience at Osteria del Becco. We will definitely return when ever we are in Mexico City…

This restaurant needs more than 5 stars! A friend and I came after a work meeting and had the most incredible 5 course lunch. The service was perfect and beyond expectations. If you like Italian food with a modern flair, you can't miss this place! Plus, look how cute this dessert is.

Delicioso! I dined in and got a simple dish that turned out to be very flavorful. Cozy, warm and elegant environment. I’m vegetarian and had no problem eating here. Nice wine selection as well.

Pricy, yes!!! But in my opinion is the best Italian food you can find in Mexico City, excellent handmade pasta with truffle, excellent wine list and excellent service. The decoration is warm and nice. This is my second visit here and of course I'll will be back. Update: This is my fourth time and I sustain that this is an excellent restaurant.

An amazing addition to Polanco’s Italian restaurants! Super authentic, great vibe and amazing wine list. Be good to see them add some char to their grilled steak which seems to be 100% sous vide but other than that, amazing!!

This restaurante offers the most varied wine menu in Mexico City. Dishes are generally served in small portions, which is fine if you're having dinner. If you go there for lunch have in mind you'll have enough space for the whole three course meal. If you like to go out fine dining with the best wine you should come here. Three private rooms are available inside their luxury wine storage areas! Known as the best italian restaurant in the city.

The best pasta in the city by far. If visiting you have to order preferably a Rissotto with 5g of Truffle - you will expierence great favor while being accompanied by great service and wine selection.

Had dinner here several times over the past few years. Very good high end Italian restaurant, definitely one of the best in town serving dishes with real Italian ingredients and flavors (many Italian restaurants in town don’t serve real Italian flavored dishes). Good selection of Italian wines too. Service is good and the place is beautifully designed.

Good food and very friendly service, but prices towards the high side. The restaurant is beautiful and worth visiting. The presentation of the cocktails was on point.

I loved the entrance to the place! It’s a door like your own place, they have two areas one in the front (like a small patio) and the one in the back with the bar. The service was ok, they need to improve a little bit they forgot napkins, cutlery and the basics. The dishes were tasty! Try the carpaccio was really good. The drinks are good, some times the Negroni is not well done, in this case I order one was really good.

Food is not that great how it looks, many problem in flavor, a few dishes without salt and. Few dish with too much! Service and ambience 10/10!

Great food, but very expensive. For the price you pay, its unacceptable that an italian restaurant offer you such a lame olive oil. The pasta with truffles were great, but the millanese pork was oily underneath it, although crispy on top and well seasoned. Overall good experience but for the price they charge some improvements are needed.

Got sick after eating here, wish this was not the case, becausethe food tasted really good. Wine/drink list is good. Expensive but I think it's worth it.

Food was good, but not quite on the level for the cost. Atmosphere was great, with the exception of the first table they sat us at was like sitting under a spotlight. Only until we were about to walk out the door, they finally took us to the back room which was a much better atmosphere and lighting. The service was good, but at times felt chaotic, with multiple servers taking care of us along with managers. I’d recommend they have one server take care of the table, especially a table of 2. Not until well after we finished our appetizers did someone finally come take our entree order. Overall, it was a nice experience, but the business definitely has room to improve I feel.

Overpriced Italian food. We went there on restaurant week. Food was good, I liked the lemon ricotta pasta and loved the chocolate ice cream (tastes like Ferrero Rocher). The bread is delicious. I drank a glass of Merlot which was also very good. But I think it's too expensive for what they offer, for example all glasses of wine are 180-300 approximately. I didn't like the atmosphere and I found the decoration a bit tacky. The place is probably more appealing to older people, because they play instrumental music. The service was ok, but not very nice. It took them like 15 minutes to offer us drinks and the menu. So for the same price (or less!) you can eat at a nicer Italian restaurant.

Romantic setting with an exclusive vibe. We did not have a reservation, but was able to get an outdoor table (which imo was cuter). The food was quite disappointing considering the hype around this place. I had the signature truffle tagliolini, and was surprised that they did not shave the truffle at the table side. The taste was sadly bland and underwhelming. The appetizers were average at best. We also ordered the lamb, and it was okay. Overall not impressed with the food.

Italian living in Mexico. Food was mediocre and price very high. So for anyone who is used to good italian food this is not the right choice. The restaurant design it's beautiful and the atmoshphere unique. so 5 stars for that Unfortunately the service was very rude and had attitude towards my friends and I. Instead of apologizing for bringing me the wrong dish the waiters told me was my fault

Expensive, service was excellent. Of the dishes we ordered I liked one of them, the pasta in olive oil and lobster. The lobster in pasta with cream sauce had so much lemon I could not eat it. My poor husband switched with me and I had the one in olive oil. The tiramisu looked beautiful but we didn't eat it, was made without sugar.

Food was mediocre. Could have made it at home. Salmon was tasteless . We ordered a salad to start and they brought everything together. As we did not order any alcoholic drinks I believe they really wanted us out. Totally o repriced for what we ate.

Place is very nice and peaceful but When I went, there was no type of meat that was offered on the menu and they did not notify when the reservation was made

We were excited to try this place but wow the service was so terrible I wouldn’t recommend it even if the food itself was great. The waiters from the start ignored us and threw attitude towards. We didn’t get a menu for a while and when we did there was no wine menu and we had to ask to get that as well. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom and when we told them they didn’t send any one went to fix it. The music has a club feel to it. They never offered to refill my friend’s wine until she waved them down. They practically threw the plates at us and never really spoke to us. It was really uncomfortable and for a high end spot to be like that with tons of servers and a quarter full house, well idk it seems uncalled for. The pasta was great but there seems to be a trend where they charge a lot more for the popular items. I can get high end truffle pasta in Miami for way less than what they are charging. With the incredible food scene this city has, find another place for your pasta fix.

The worst restaurant i have ever encountered in mexico city, expensive and disgusting. If you come here expect to finish eating elsewhere, the plate size is to laugh at.

Felt very pretentious for very average food. Sommelier woman (didn’t catch her name since she didn’t introduce herself) seem annoyed to have been called to our table (by the waiters suggestion) since we aren’t big drinkers and just wanted a glass of wine to enjoy with dinner during the last night of our Mexico trip. Floor felt messy and stressed. Waiters and hostess were nice enough. A couple of their staff, two of the guys wearing blazers running around and one of them also had a full on cellphone conversation near our table. Distracting atmosphere but good lighting is the one thing I can give this place. Luckily I’ve seen enough to not be impressed by it.

Food was delicious but I’ll say it cost my daughter and myself a stomach infection and trip to the hospital.
