Have gotten take out 2-3 times now. Everything has been delicious. The chicken, yuca, ceviche, chaufa rice, lomo saltado. People there are every nice too. Great service.

We catered Papi’s Pollo for my Birthday this year and were left completely satisfied! The chicken was so juicy and the white and fried rice to go with it were a real hit at the party. I’ve never tasted coleslaw and potato salad prepared this way before and it was all at a great price. And don’t get me started on the sauces! (My favorite was the yellow) I would recommend it for any occasion and we will be ordering it again soon
If you like Peruvian chicken a la brasa and live in the Burke/Springfield area, this is a good place to go. The selections are more comprehensive than other Peruvian chicken places, offering fried yucca, and even alfajores (which are well made and delicious at $3 a piece). There's plenty of parking right outside the restaurant.
The juiciest Peruvian chicken I’ve ever had and seasoned to perfection. We tried the fries, yucca, plantains, black beans and rice and it was all amazing! Definitely recommend!
The staff was so accommodating. They answered every question. The lady at the register made suggestions based on what I mentioned about my family needs and dietary restrictions. She clearly knew the menu like the back of her hand. The prices were reasonable, and the food was amazing. I'm looking forward to my next trip.
5 Stars – A Hidden Gem for Peruvian Chicken Lovers! If you’re craving flavorful, juicy rotisserie chicken with a crispy, perfectly seasoned skin, this is the place to go! The Peruvian-style chicken here is absolutely incredible—tender on the inside with just the right amount of smoky char on the outside. The green and yellow sauces are both must-tries and take the meal to another level. The sides are just as impressive—especially the yuca fries and plantains. Everything tastes fresh and made with care. The portions are generous, the staff is friendly, and the place is clean and welcoming. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend for a satisfying, authentic, and affordable meal. I’ll definitely be coming back!
This place was a great find! Always super fresh and tasty, with the nicest family that owns and runs it. Anytime I can support a local restaurant and not a chain, I’m all in. Start with the rotisserie chicken, arroz chaufa, and plantains— you won’t regret it.
Went to for the first time today and it was delicious!! I had the 1/4 chicken with yuca and rice as the sides plus plantains. Chicken wasn’t dry, yuka and plantain were cooked perfectly. My husband had arroz de chaufa with chicken and he loved it too, especially the quantity. We tried the beef empanada which was also good. For dessert we also tried the alfajor, wish it had a bit more dulce de leche but I also have a sweet tooth. My husband thought it was perfect as is. We’ll be going back to try more dishes!
Papi's Pollo - simply immaculate. This place has Peru ingraved in their dishes. A bit of everything for anyone's taste buds. Also with a variety of drinks. Cant go wrong with desert. Try this place out!!! Lastly, s/o to the cooks and management

I came here for the first time with my sister. I felt a cozy feel by the pictures of the cute kid on the walls. The delicious aroma that filled the restaurant told me I know this place will be good! So, I was right! I got empanadas, a Peruvian chicken combo, and Alfadores! All, I can say is, I’m coming back yo!
Amazing food and service!!! The owner, Leonardo, was super friendly and makes you feel very welcome. You can tell this is a family owned business that cares, but the food was the best Peruvian food we’ve had in the DC area by far.The Rotisserie Chicken was incredible! The Lomo Saltado was so good!!! Definitely don’t miss the alfajores for desert! We ended up getting 3 boxes to take home and ate almost all of them by the time we got home. Will come back every time we’re in town.
Great peruvian chicken and saltados and empanadas and wash it down with a chicha morada and make sure make sure u get the alfajores. Made in house!!!
I was excited to try this place out. I have had Peruvian chicken from almost every place in the area. Well, the place was nice and clean and the staffs were friendly. Unfortunately the main dish, the chicken, was super small and lacked flavor. I mean sadly so. I’m not sure if it was even roasted with charcoal. The flavor was so underwhelming. The white and green sauce seemed dumbed down. I am sorry to have to report my experience like this. Maybe the restaurant can do something about their chicken. That said, it has many good reviews. So, it may be just fine for you.
I decided to try this new location at burke with my family. I ordered the whole chicken with two sides — yuka fries and french fries. The service was good. The chicken was very bland, It had no seasoning at all. The chicken itself was cooked to perfection, but I wish it had seasoning. The sauces didn’t have taste as well; I dipped the chicken in the yellow sauce and I noticed it did not have any flavor. When I tried the green sauce, all it had was a small spice to it, but no flavor. I really want you guys to succeed, so I hope you can figure out the flavor with the chicken and sauces. With the two sides, yuka and french fries, those were good.
went with family for a quick dinner. they ran out of chicken. but I guess they found some leftover pieces in a cabinet. it was bland with no flavor. I guess they were desperate. they did look unorganized. I would not recommend this place at all.
Ordered whole chicken to go for dinner. Drove home to family and first bite I could tell chicken wasn't fresh. Tough, hardened dried meat, unable to eat dinner, I returned back to restaurant to get replacement. After explaining that the chicken I received is inedible to front end person, I had to wait 10 mins or so for manager to come out from back office to talk to me. Instead of apologizing and getting replacement right away, manager insisted that chicken they gave me is fresh and some people prefer to have it cooked even more. After going back and forth I ended up getting replacement. As a consumer, I get that sometimes you might get a bad batch, but it's not ok a business doesn't make it right when issue is raised, instead they defend their error. As much as I would want small business to succeed, I will not be ordering from this place again
I was definitely misled by all the 5 star reviews. When I picked up my food I realized why.... there's a sign on the counter that says they'll give you a free dessert(alfafor) for every Google review 👎 This is an HONEST review - the chicken seasoning is bland, the potato salad was awful, the yucca was hard and didn't have fluffy interior and the salad was old (see picture), sauces are runny and have no consistency or taste. Do not recommend
