Line to get in was quick, George at the counter was so nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. Great front facing employee. Food was constantly filled on salad and hot food bars. It was a really busy Friday night so items needer refilled often. Only real complaint is there were not enough wait staff. Our server brought some requested items, picked up a plate and then left, never to be seen again. No one came and said they were going on break, or off, or that anyone would be taking over. The poor 1 guy that was left was working his hiney off, doing his best handle both sides of the restaurant. Although he only brought us to-go boxes, we gave him the tip since we never saw our server again. He even had the grace to ask, confused, "did I serve you?". We said no but that he'd helped us, and he was working hard for what he was earning. He blushed a bit, reluctantly took the tip (as though he was going to be in trouble?) and we shared we'd not seen any other servers (esp ours) in the last 40 min. He thanked us an went on his way. Young man was a powerhouse and Sizzler is lucky to have him. We saw a couple servers leaving about an hour and a half before closing as the exit door was by our table. As busy as this night was, they should have had more than 1 server on. Other than that we had a great experience and will return. Side note - Parking is VERY limited as the lot is tiny, so highly recommend street park if you are able.

I come here regularly with my kids, food is always great. I usually have Danny as my waiter. Danny is great at his job. He is very attentive and makes sure our table is always taken care of.

A gem! You can add salad bar to an entree for only $7.99. Salad bar includes soup, American taco bar, spaghetti & meatballs, fruit, brownies, and soft-serve. They have televisions, and wine and beer. No draft though. The albondigas soup was delicious. And the guacamole was surprisingly palatable, but can be improved. I also recommend not over-heating/over-frying the chicken wings. The meat on them was tough. Take cash to tip the servers!

The freshness and overall quality of the meals should be the standard all other restaurants need to pursue. As far as service, even in their busiest of times, everything is friendly as well as orderly. We all win!

Had steak with all you can eat shrimps. Didn’t get to order more as I had the all you can eat salad. The salad bar was kept fresh and full. The only thing different is the dessert section. No more bread pudding just ice cream. I’m going to miss that. The waiter was very friendly. Staff was not rude they’re just quiet there’s a difference.

Wow! Sizzler got one thing right, and this is not a knock, the salad bar!!! This experience was superb. I was taken back at all the salad options and non salad options. This Sizzler is very clean, organized, and with options in that salad bar that leave you extremely satisfied. And I should correct myself, this location got two things right, their salad bar and cheese bread, reminds me of the high quality all Sizzlers had back in the day! Highly recommended!!!

I went to this Sizzler's for the first time. I was very impressed. Great service, food. The salad bar isn't as big as other facilities, but it offers just enough. Restaurant is clean & servers are attentive. They make sure your needs are met. Not many Sizzlers Restaurants left, so I'm so glad we found this one. I'm definitely going back.

Been here lots of times. They have recently Renovated the salad bar, looks nice and updated but the desert section is difficult to reach of you have short arms and hit your head on the sneeze guard.. I'm juss saying, could have been a better design. Servers were great!!

We came here on a Sunday night after waiting to be seated at a Chilli's for over 1.5 hours. The cashier told us there would be an hour wait to get a table, but after I expressed my frustration from my experience at Chilis she managed to get a table for 9 ppl within minutes. When our food was served it warm and exactly how we ordered it within a timely matter. Our waitress was very attentive and constantly came to our table to ask if needed anything.

I went to celebrate my birthday with my Mother and my Brother it was really nice. We received a great customer service.

I love their "tiny tacos" smothered in salsa and guacamole...but you're welcome to add almost everything under the sun: lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, etc. Also give broccoli cheese soup a try...it's a perfect Fall soup. To start off with, this is the best sizzlers there is! Walking in, my wife and I were greeted as if we were home by a cashier named George. His energy was absolutely amazing and he was such a vibe, super friendly and very communicative. Had not actually been to a Sizzler restaurant in about 30 years. I was pleasantly surprised, because I thought they might have done away with the AYCE salad bar, but was delighted they had it, and I loved the variety of choices, including hot items. I also had cheese toast and 6 jumbo shrimp, and they tasted GREAT! Can't wait to go back to either this location or try another one.

This is by far one of the best sizzlers I've been to. The waiters are kind and go out of their way. I once dropped my to go food by accident and the waiter told the manager and gave me a whole new chicken. Also the manger Is a really nice guy, he appreciates the customers, I've been going to this sizzlers often now and he recognizes me. I forgotten my veteran ID but he let me get the discount. This sizzlers really care about the customers experience and I appreciate that a lot. The food is always fresh and full of flavor. Love this place.

The staff of the establishment are top notch. Moises waited on us. He honored my request to have extra chess toast because I knew we would eat it all. While we were waiting on our food in a booth. We realized we were at the kids booth because it was unc uncomfortable, Moised found is at our new location. I ordered the grilled salmon and my wife ordered Malibu chicken. When the salmon came it was visibly overcooked and I said I don’t know if that would enjoy the meal. my wife ordered Malibu chicken with no ham. Moises felt our disappointment and took both of the plates back to the kitchen. He had the meal replated.Another employee noticed that we had run out of napkins. She asked if she could bring some more napkins to us without being asked. I AM grateful to experience the excellent customer service being provided for us. We felt seen and heard by all the staff. I learned a new way to give a cash tip when all you have digital money I bet you want to know what I learned. You can buy the some bottled water and get cash back for the cash tip.

Salad bar needs improvement. I ordered Stake and Rib and French fries. Rib 4 stars Fries 5 stars Stake 3 stars Salad Bar 3 stars I enjoyed my food, and the portion was more than I expected. I had some leftovers. Come on, Sizzler, you can do it. We want you back.

I like to go to Sizzler when I can, when I have the need for a good tasting steak. The Montebello restaurant is the closet to where I live, so frequent that particular one. Today, New Years Day, seemed to be a very busy one, and the wait for food to come out was over long, and when the steak was presented, it wasn't cooked as I would have liked it. Maybe all that was due to a staffing shortage, or just too many customers at one time. But in the end, the experience was a good one. First, the steak, as most Sizzler steaks, was so tasty because of the way they prepare their steaks, that no steak sauce was needed. And the Sweet Potato Casserole was perfection, worth a try if you haven't had it. I wanted to get an order of that to take home. But most importantly, the visit was made all the more satisfactory because of the quality of the Wait Staff. And in particular, waiter named Moises. He was very attentive, and was constantly coming by to see if I needed something, or to let me know when my order would be ready, and without question, took the first steak back because it wasn't cooked the way I was expecting it. Abd it wasn't just me. I could see him handling many able a the same time, and gave everyone the same attention. Moises is the kind of waiter you would expect to find working at a more expensive exclusive restaurant. So I would say the best part of this visit...was Moises.

Haven't been to a Sizzler in a few years. Cheese toast is still great. But the endless salad has lowered a little in quality since I've last gone. They used to have carnitas in the taco section (now it's ground beef) and the fried chicken wings used to be better quality. The salad part of the meal was good and everything was fresh. The chicken noodle soup was fine. The banana cream didn't have any vanilla wafers, but the key lime thing was tasty. And the soft serve was a good way to end the meal I gave the food a lower rating because my favorites (the things I listed above) weren't at the old level I remember. Oh and they serve bottled beer if you want a beer with your meal. That being said, the Sizzler in Montebello was really well run and the servers were super attentive. And I'll be back, because it's still a great value.

It's been decade plus since I've been to a Sizzler and it was my first time at this Sizzler location. This location looks recently renovated as the interior and exterior was modern and based on other reviews, it looked like it had been closed prior for a period. The parking lot is a bit small but there is a valet available and families also tend to park in the neighboring residential area. Ordered the salad bar and I found the food to be quite fresh! There was a staff member continually cleaning up the area and replenishing with new items. The salad bar had lots of options although the chicken wings I remembered as a kid is replaced with chicken nuggets now. They still have the cheese toast! Prices seem very reasonable and I noticed there was even a line which speaks to how well Sizzler currently caters to this community.

Very, very good. The steak was well prepared and was flavorful. But I was concentrating more on the salad bar. Everything was delicious, but they didn't restock the chicken wings, onion rings, or tortilla chips after 8:00 pm. All that was left were one or two of the worst looking pieces and small pieces of the chips, too small for nachos. Also, the lettuce pieces in the main salad area were not chopped small enough. I would estimate them to be 4x4 inches in size each. I don't think I should have to cut up my salad in order to eat it. Otherwise, the food was very good and the service was outstanding (thus the 4 star rating, even with the mentioned faults). Would I go back? Yes!

Nice salad option didn't need to order additional steaks. $15.99 per person. Service was friendly. Waiter thought we left but made it right quickly. Don't forget to tip your servers.

Always the salad buffet. Update: I haven't been back for a while now. The chicken wings are back at the salad bar, which is awesome. Everything feels new and clean. The ice cream tastes fluffier (which is good). The steaks look good too. The cheese bread is still on point. Service is friendly and awesome. I plan to come back man times. I haven't been to Sizzler in years. I had a good experience. The steak was nice and juicy and full of flavor. The salad bar offered some very nice choices. I'd go back again.

Customer service and food are always fantastic! I always make it a point to have dinner there every time I am in town visiting family. Parking is always an issue. The lot is very small compared to the number of customers eating here, so finding a parking spot off-site and then a short walk may be needed.

Sizzlers always been one of my favorite old school spots. I just ordered a ribeye with vegetables, a side of turkey slices and the salad bar. I was definitely full and satisfied. The steak was cooked medium, but I asked for medium rare. It was still delicious and seasoned perfectly. The turkey was very dry and unfortunately the gravy couldn’t save it. The salad bar was excellent and was my favorite part. The selection was solid and customer service was excellent. I’d definitely come back to try their other menu items.

Salad bar wasn't fresh and the price was a bit costly

It was my first time here the food was great the service not so great, we got the all you can eat ribs and salad and we saw our waiter once during our entire stay the first plate was more than enough for us to get full so we weren't looking for seconds however it would have been nice to get extra napkins or a refill on our drinks or even a simple checkup. Overall the salad bar made up for the service. We will definitely give this place a second chance.

I ordered my food at 7:36 PM. I didn't get it until 8:05 PM. I had to literally ask the Manager what's takings my food so long.. It was hard to get a Hold of my Waiter. This location has limited parking. Narrow paths making it difficult to park and exit. Service was poor. Tables were not cleaned well. Staff was nice but rarely came to the table to provide service. We had to seek them out. Both Steak orders were undercooked. Had to return therm to be re cooked however this was poorly done. I recently visited Sizzler in Montebello and had quite the experience. First of all, I had to use the restroom but the manager told me I had to buy something first. I guess they don't believe in the concept of "bathroom breaks" there. Then, while waiting for the rest of my party, the manager asked me if I was a senior citizen in a very rude manner. I know I have a few gray hairs, but come on! The parking lot is also quite small, but they do have their own valet who was a nice guy. The salad bar could use some more attention, but the clam chowder was surprisingly good. The steak had a good taste, but the potato skins were way too salty. I guess they ran out of salt for the rest of the dishes. I would rate Sizzler as satisfactory because of the quality of the wait staff. They were very friendly and made up for the lackluster experience with the management. Plus, the restaurant itself is quite small, so it's easy to feel like you're in a cozy family gathering. If you're looking for a restaurant with a rude manager, small parking lot, and salty potato skins, Sizzler in Montebello is the place for you!

Our server was great because he really tried his BEST to help EVERYONE. It was so busy and he was the only one waiting on one side. Management at this location is definitely not doing well. Overworking their staff. This location is too crowded. All the tables seem to be in the way of everyone. Too tight.

Complained to the manager, seemed not to concerned and when I mentioned the waitress name she just said oh martita yeah I know. Terrible experience been going there since the early 90's. What a disappointment

Been going for years here. This time I have to share what happened. We were in line to pay when we thought we were next George the cashier stopped me and my mom (who is in a wheelchair) and said bad timing it was his break time. He laughed and pointed to the line. We thought he was joking but he said something to the cashier next to him and laughed as he walked away. Not sure what was funny. George should be ashamed and maybe more considerate and definitely not laugh at customers.

The dining roomwas filthy, the waiter was rude, the food was either greasy or dry; or somehow managed to be both. The food also took WAY too long to get out of the kitchen, and came out cold. Not worth it at all. Pass this one up.

Salad bar is clearly not a priority for the kitchen staff , so don’t expect for them to be filling up the chafing dishes , I was waiting for them to fill up the spaghetti noodles and nothing , not even shortly before I left .the wings are horrible and extremely dry , no parking spots on the weekends , and the lines do not move because they attend one party at a time and overlook the people who are in small parties. I know this because there’s empty tables of 4 but a group of 10 are holding up the line . Only thing good about this place is really the ice cream , I know sizzler isn’t that bad , but this one is .

I recently visited Sizzler for a sit-down dinner with a friend and ordered the lobster tail dinner with the salad bar for two—one of my longtime favorites. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing and uncomfortable. While dining, my guest and I, both Black, noticed an older Latino man—presumably a staff member—watching us the entire time, even though the restaurant was filled mostly with white patrons. His constant, targeted attention made us feel extremely unwelcome. When I decided I wanted to take the rest of my meal to go, I politely asked for to-go containers. The same man aggressively refused, stating I could not combine the leftover salad with my lobster and steak meal for takeout. He escalated the situation unnecessarily by threatening that if I attempted to do so, I would be caught on camera, the police would be called, and I would be banned from the restaurant. This experience felt discriminatory and humiliating. I would not recommend this location to anyone and I have no desire to ever return.

Ordered take out, came to pick it up. The next day I looked at my bank acct. and saw I was charged twice, exact same amount. Two identical charges, both from Door Dash. Buyer beware!

Had a ribeye and salad bar. Salad bar, pomegranate salad was excellent along with the clam chowder. The ribeye was the worst I have ever had. Plenty of fat and tendens for $26.00 ????

This place was absolutely terrible. Maybe it’s not the people, but the expectations here are way too high for the quality of food they serve. The steak was so bad they had to change it twice. They served fruit that wasn’t even ripe. The shrimp had no flavor, and the rice tasted like boxed rice — and if it actually was, that would explain a lot. Customer service wasn’t great either; they only had two servers working when I went. Honestly, if I ever come back, it would only be for the salad, because everything else was completely disgusting. I would never return to this place.

There is a cashier who had glasses that was nice at first but then started to correct everything we were saying. I understand he was being nice but he was way too pushy and made us not want to even be there anymore.

Worst Sizzler restaurant ever in our 45 years of frequenting otherwise great locations. The waiter never came by to check up on us during the entire hour we sat at our table. The steak was tougher than shoe leather, still not well done, as ordered. I ordered a baked potato with NO sour cream, but with butter and chives only. The food was served and the potato came with a wad of sour cream! Had to scoop up and discard the sour cream. My wife asked upon paying if they have tartar sauce with her shrimp. The cashier said sure, just ask the waiter. But then again, with the waiter gone with the wind after initially placing the food on the table the tartar sauce remained absent.
