I ordered this place with kind of low expectations, basing that off kind of the other local restaurants. However, this was great. With every new thing I tried, I liked it more and more. The nachos are great. Everywhere else overcharges on things like guac and sour cream, they load them up here. Even use a cheese sauce.

Excellent food, very delicious. Tacos are awesome, I had the chorizo taco's & the carne asada taco's and a bean & cheese burrito. I absolutely recommend it. Prices are a little high, but it's worth it. Customer service is good, staff was very nice and helpful. There are a few tables inside, but with good food I imagine it getting crowded. There are two ways you can enter, through the front doors, or there is a back way. Well recommended, I would definitely eat here again.

Oh my god. So good. This place did not disappoint at all. 2 chicken tacos and 1 birria with rice n beans. Was skeptical about the beans bc they were basically puréed, but the flavor was amazing! Will definitely come back here.

It’s been my go to spot for burritos since 2011! It has delicious food and good prices. I always order the Super burrito, it feeds 2 people or in my case 2-3 meals lol

Been coming to Tacos Don Chentes for years. My favorite plates are the carne asada Huaraches & their menudo. They have good food, good salsas & good service.

LITERALLY AMAZING!! the food is so fire and the horchata is made just right. The tables are always clean and when they're not, a worker happily cleans them up!! I smile when my mom invites me to eat here, the seats are comfortable even if they aren't a booth!!(Which is what I prefer) The service is amazing, pretty sure they recognize they're regulars because lmao they recognize me 😹 I come here often, you usually spend around 30-35 bucks?? Well when it's just me and my mom that is, me and her always leave full and happy after too! The lady cashier has always been nice too. The tortas are a must try

Surprised by the atmosphere, food, service and overall experience. Very clean place, food was delicious and so were the Agua Frescas. Only tried the tacos this time and were definitely satisfying. Look forward to coming back to try more of their food.

I hate being that person coming in last minute but did tonight. I came 10mins before they closed and apologized. They are trying to leave but they were very friendly about it and of course I tipped well. Been here many times before and this review is long over do. Love the food and the service. A must try if your in Downey.

The food was delicious. I had the asada fries. The rest of my group had the birria quesatacos and a torta de asada. Everyone enjoyed their food. We had their churros for dessert and they were very tasty as well! The service was great and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place.

First time here at this restaurant. We were seared right away as it was 3:25 pm. We ordered a steak and al pastor and a bowl of menudo. Sebastian was kind enough to explain their menu and was very accommodating and suggested what to order. I thank management for having an employee like Sebastian

4.5 stars actually. I got the carne asada burrito which was pretty good but it was the steak Nachos that were a hit! The reason being the chips were extra Crispy and rigid still, while covered with the nice toppings of nachos. Enjoy!
