My granddaughter made the reservation for us. Great atmosphere when we walked in. We did have to wait for pit table . Was a little confusing that we had to wait for a specific table when there were open tables available. Anyway, the food was great. I had a breakfast poutine that was delicious and my granddaughter had a banana fosters waffle also amazing. The poutine would of been even better with some runny eggs instead of scramble but it was still great. Had a really nice local beer as well. Can’t wait to go back and try the shrimp and grits next.
Union & Finch was a great brunch spot with a unique Southern-inspired menu. If you love fried green tomatoes, this is definitely the place for you. I ordered the omelette with fried potatoes and really enjoyed it, and my husband had the chorizo breakfast sandwich, which he liked as well. They also have a children’s menu, which is a big plus for families. The mimosas were good, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall, a great experience—we’d definitely return.
The steak salad was just the right size and cooked exactly as it should be. The vegetarian loaf was surprisingly impressive with great flavor, and the fish and chips could not have been better. Every dish hit the mark and made the entire meal really enjoyable.
Excellent brunch experience - reserved for a group of 8, and they set us up with a nice space in their cozy dining area. Food and drinks were fantastic, as was service. All staff were very friendly, but Alexis specifically was excellent taking care of our group, laughing and joking with us while we celebrated a birthday. Couldn't recommend more.
My mom and I were in the area for an appointment at LVHN, and had some some time to kill so we had some lunch at Union & Finch, since it was super close and the menu looked yummy!! We were greeted promptly and sat at a "low" table as requested. Server was friendly, the lunch menu had tons of great options, but we settled on the Burrata with roasted red peppers for a starter, then Pesto Fettuccine topped with chicken and the Tahini Caesar Salad topped with grilled shrimp. Both lunch entrees were fabulous, bursting with flavor! Honestly, probably the most unique Caesar salad I've ever had!! Will definitely eat here again, should we be in the area in the future!!
This was recommended to me from a close friend for good burgers. I was very pleased with the menu. My wife and I sat at the bar. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend the Pittsburgh steak salad they provided a unique lemon and vinegar dressing that was perfect. They had very good selection of local beers to usuals on tap and mixed drinks heard were great. If you are in this beautiful town you need to check this place out.
Union & Finch is hands-down one of my favorite spots in the area. The food is consistently exquisite — every dish is thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. What really sets them apart, though, is the warmth and professionalism of the owners and staff. They make every visit feel personal, like you're part of the family. On top of that, I routinely order from Union & Finch for catering at my company, and they’ve never missed a beat. Deliveries are always on time, and the meals are a hit every single time — our employees genuinely look forward to it. Their attention to detail, quality, and service make them a rare gem. Highly recommend both for dining in and catering!
Went for dinner last night before a drum corps show nearby. Atmosphere was cozy and the staff were warm and helpful. We ordered a few starters because we traveled a bit from out of town and were hungry. We had the Spicy Crab dip - def tasted the Crab, and not overly spicy...just a hint of heat). We had the Mac and cheese and the pickle jar (an assortment of pickled veggies that hit all the right spots in flavor and crunch). For our main dishes we had the Crab Cakes, yum! The Beet Salad with Steak, yum yum! And the Gold Label Burger, super yum...8pz Pat Lafrieda dry-aged beef medium rare with nothing on it but caramelized onion. Delicious! We finished with a sweet treat of layered chocolate cake w/ strawberry ice cream. Yummy! We'd def come back for more next time we're in town!
We visited this wonderful restaurant while on a long drive that took us past Allentown. It provided us with a perfect break in our journey. The management and staff were very welcoming and the menu had something for all of us. The steak salad was portioned and cooked perfectly, the vegetarian loaf was outstanding, and the fish and chips was perfect, including the mushy peas that I rarely see outside of the UK. We sat in the comfy enclosed patio as we had our dog with us. The beer selection was also excellent, including a large number of drafts.
Union & Finch feels like hime. It offers outstanding hospitality and service. A great food and drink menu with seasonal specials and top quality food. Highly recommended.
A nice restaurant with a bar, pleasant outdoor seating, great food and service. We went for their brunch and weren't disappointed. Reservations are a wise choice and parking is limited in their lot. I went with the Savory Stack for my brunch.
very homey—felt like stepping into a Brooklyn brunch spot!! food: I ordered the crab po boy and OH MY GOD… in-sane. 🦀❤️🔥 10/10. bf got the crab cakes; delectable. 10/10 drinks: “mimosa flight” — 10/10, pineapple was the best. “little black lie” cocktail: 8/10.
Union & Finch has the best brunch in the Lehigh Valley in my opinion. Whenever we are asked for a recommendation, they are always my first. Their food is always great. The service is great and the wait staff are friendly and helpful. The drink selection is top notch whether you want alcohol or not. Mimosa flights are a highlight! My wife and I had the Pigs in a Blanket, Grilled Halloumi, and the Avocado Smash Benedict special. Highly recommend a reservation if coming for brunch or dinner on the weekend. We will ALWAYS come back here.
Had such a wonderful group experience here, the manager was very enthusiastic and helpful. We had a large party for a birthday and the drinks and service were all great. The food came out pretty quick and everything was amazing. The atmosphere is also very cozy and comfortable, with an outdoor dining area as well. I highly recommend checking this place out for brunch.
Love this quaint restaurant went there for brunch and the food was insanely delicious!! We got the crab Benedict, waffles foster, Mac and cheese with hot sauce (oh boy this sauce is so good) and poached eggs with grilled cheese and arugula! The service was great too our waitress was very friendly and she was knowledgeable about all the dishes too! We will definitely be back for dinner can’t wait!! See you soon ;-)
Great atmosphere, good service, drinks and food. Mimosa flight was a nice start to our brunch. Good coffee too. We had Moroccan Eggs and Breakfast Poutine. Our meals had great presentation. Food was good, but both dishes could have used a bit more balance of flavors. There’s a lot of interesting difference dishes on the menu. We would go back to try some of the other dishes.
What an awesome place! We had brunch, and everything was fantastic -- really flavorful, big portions, and very reasonable prices. Everyone was also so welcoming a friendly, and the overall atmosphere just added to the joy. This was a treat!
We visited this bar in Allentown while traveling from Washington, DC, and it was such an incredible experience! Although we didn’t explore the main menu, we started with a burrata appetizer that was absolutely delicious—it left us wanting more. We ordered two beers that were perfectly crafted and hit the spot, and then we decided to dive into their cocktail menu. Every single drink we tried was outstanding, clearly handcrafted with great care and attention to detail. The flavors were balanced and unique, making each cocktail a little adventure on its own. The ambiance and service added to the experience, making it a place we’d love to visit again. Highly recommend!
Visiting from MD and this spot was highly recommended! We came for dinner and reserved for outdoor seating, it was chilly but the heaters and blankets provided helped tremendously. Out of the multiple dishes we tried I’d highly recommend the chicken and waffles, burgers, salmon and poutine. All were so yummy and the entire family was fighting for the last bites!
Awesome breakfast when seeing an event in Allentown. Couldn’t ask for better service or a nicer staff with great prices. This truly is a can’t miss. Great variety of options on the menu from the classics to unique combinations that are all home runs. Make reservations as this is no secret how great this place is.
I went on a girls trip and had a queso burger with a dirty pickle martinis. The food was amazing! The room over all was very loud and the area is small. Parking was sparse but the food was fabulous
Probably THE.BEST.BREAKFAST I have had in a very long time. The saltiness of the halloumi with the creamy, perfect poached egg and freshness of the pesto was a match made in heaven. And honestly, that is saying a lot for me, because I am not a huge breakfast fan, but I would hands down order this again, and again and again. I don't have much else to say. Out waitress was great. We didn't have a reservation (which I don't recommend on the weekend... this place is POP.U.LAR) but the hostess gave us a table if we could be done in 75 minutes, in time for an 11:45 AM seating. Despite that, they did not rush us. The place does appear to be a neighborhood haunt, just about everyone who came through the door seemed to know, what I presume is the owner or manager, as well as the staff. So there was definitely a nice, casual vibe to the place. I honestly need to come back for dinner, if breakfast, a meal I generally don't care about was this good, what other surprises await?!?
A gem 💎 in the heart of Allentown! The food and atmosphere was amazing! The meatball sliders were fresh, my burger was juicy & my wife's Cubano sandwich was stellar. The drink selections were plentiful. I highly recommend you make a reservation if not bar seating is also available.
First time going to Union & Finch 🙌🏾 Great Service and EXCELLENT Food. If your ever in Allentown definitely make a stop there. Falafel Burger 🍔 and Crab Po Boy! Update 11-12-22 : Had to make sure the Food was really that GOOD or if , we were just hungry.. It’s really that GOOD 😊! Went back to Union & Finch for Brunch. Chicken & Waffles, Grits, Fried Green Tomatoes, Sunside up eggs & Pancakes. All of it was very Delicious 🤤 😋
Union and Finch is always an excellent choice. We (a group of 7) went last night (10/19/2025) to celebrate a birthday. As always, the food was delicious. I delivered a cake to the restaurant earlier in the day and staff made sure it was kept refrigerated and even put on the decorations provided. Staff made sure the cake was brought to the table at just the right time. Sarah, our server, was 20 out of 10. Sarah was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. If you haven't been to Union and Finch, go...you've been missing out. If it's been awhile since going there, make your reservations and go back. This restaurant is one of the best in Allentown.
So incredibly good! Came up to Allentown for work, and went to Union and Finch on a whim. The fusion of americana and middle eastern worked so well. Also had a chance to talk to one of the owners, who was just wonderfully kind. Ended up going back the next night as well, and met one of the other owners, who was equally as wonderful. Will be returning here every trip to Allentown. Thank you for the delicious food, great atmosphere, and warm welcome.
We met my wife’s cousins here on a visit from South Carolina and it was a great experience. We had great food, and service. Three people had burgers, one had an omelet and I had the Poutine omelet bowl and everybody was thrilled with their meal. In addition our server Alex was a huge reason we had a great time. She was personable attentive and if we lived close I’d go there often and ask to be seated in her area.
If you’re in Allentown, you must go to Union and Finch. When I’m in Allentown for whatever reason, I am eating here. I could drink 10 dirty pickles. Every food item is exceptional. Everyone needs to go to Union and Finch.
First time here. It was Fantastic. We had the fried cheese curds, crab po-boy, a burger and churro/ cardamom dessert. All outstanding. Even better was our lovely server Trina. She was helpful, warm and pleasant. We already made plans to go back. Thank you Trina!!!
A friend and coworker recommended this as one of their favorite spots in the area; we’ve visited twice now and had fantastic experiences both times. The food is unbelievably good; so far, we’ve had the crab cakes Benedict, waffles foster, steak, and croque madam, and every single one was a winner. Serving size is perfect, too. We also noticed that there are sound baffles on the ceiling in the dining area, which is an excellent touch for keeping the volume down and manageable. Next up will be trying the mimosa flight. This will now be one of my top recommended spots in the valley; no better place in my opinion for brunch.
Came in on a Friday night with a couple friends and we didn’t have to wait too long, which was nice. The place has a relaxed vibe, not too loud but still lively. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fries and it was pretty solid, good flavor and cooked right. My friend got the pasta and said it tasted fresh, maybe just a little heavy on the sauce but still good. Service was friendly overall, our server checked on us a few times without being over the top. Prices felt fair for the portion sizes. I’d come back again when I’m in the area.
Had dinner here last weekend and overall it was a pretty good experience. The place has a cozy vibe, nothing too fancy but very welcoming. Our server was friendly and checked in a few times without being pushy. I tried the grilled salmon and it was cooked just right, flaky and flavorful. My friend had the pasta and said it was solid, not amazing but definitely tasty. The prices felt fair for the portion sizes.
Went here for dinner after a long day and it turned out to be a pretty solid choice. The place has a relaxed feel, nothing fancy but comfortable enough to sit and take your time. The staff was polite and checked in just enough without hovering, which I appreciate. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time and everything tasted fresh. I ordered a classic entrée and it was cooked the way I asked, no complaints there. Portions were fair for the price, not oversized but filling. It did get a little busy later on, so noise picked up some, but overall it was a decent experience. I’d come back again when I’m in the area and want something reliable.
I went to this place last weekend with a couple of friends. The atmosphere was pretty chill and the staff were friendly enough. I tried the burger and it was cooked just right, juicy and flavorful. The fries were decent too, nothing fancy but tasty. Drinks came out fast and the table service was on point. Prices seemed fair for the portion sizes. It wasn’t anything mind-blowing, but definitely a solid spot if you want a casual meal without any fuss. Would probably come back if I’m in the area again.
I went here for the first time and had a wonderful experience. I have a lot of food allergies, and the owner came out to talk me through the menu and what could be modified. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. We'll definitely be coming back!
We had a great experience at lunch today. Service by Jessica was spot on, engaging, friendly, and all over it! I had the Croque Madame, off the hook!! The other 4 at the table enjoyed theirs immensely! Pigs in a Blanket are a sleeper👍👍. Keep up the good work U&F!!
We take our annually trip to Allentown to go to the antique toy show at the fair grounds. We were looking for something kid friendly with a good menu and this was the winner. We met my old colleague who recently retired to North Hampton two Marches ago. The food was plentiful, the food was GOOD. I had the burrata with the red pepper sauce and WOW. I couldn't get enough of it. I ordered the Musakhan which apparently was a brand new dish to the menu. It has delicious tender roasted chicken, piles of sauteed onions, basmati rice, pita bread and a fresh tomato & cucumber salad. It was great and the red pepper sauce from my appetizer enhanced the flavor of the dish even more. My wife ordered the fried green tomato BLT which was absolutely delicious, my kids ordered, buttered noodles of course which came with freshly made vegetables as an option and they were delicious. My colleague ordered a burger, I forget which one however she said it was phenomenal. It was a classy joint, as the kids meals came with ice cream which we thought was homemade. There is a nice bar area when you first come inside, it gives you New York City vibes. There is even an outdoor dining tent for additional space. Next time I am in town, we will for sure go back here. I'd love to come here without the kids as the drink menu looked great as well!
If you're ever in the Allentown, PA area, you have to check out this restaurant. Everything we had was really good. We started off with wings and crab dip. The dip came with freshly made pita chips that were so good. The dip was good as well and actually had crab meat in it but was a very small portion. We also ordered the couscous salad and halloumi eggs benedict. I was pleasantly surprised at how good yet simple the dishes were. I ordered the toasted pecan old fashioned as well. There was nothing special about the drink. I couldn't taste the pecan flavor, and it was served in a very small cup. The service was really good but a bit slow. If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely go back to try more dishes.
We had made reservations for a table of 5 and got seated right on time in their outdoor seating area. While the team assured us that the area is at a comfortable 70F, the annoying door setup always let the cold draft on our table (and we were unfortunately right by the door). Apart from this small annoyance though, everything here was perfect. Food overall was pretty good and we ordered a few things which included Truffle Finch Fries ($7), Mac and Cheese ($10), Spicy Crab Dip ($15), Moroccan Eggs ($13), St. Francis ($14), Beet Salad ($12), and a Falafel Burger ($13). The only issues we really had was that the Beet salad was missing some crunch (although the pickled shallots were packed with flavor), maybe some dry nuts would've been perfect, and the Moroccan Eggs were heavier on salt. For drinks, their seasonal IPAs (West Coast) was a really good pick, and the Gin Basil Gimlet Gin ($9) was the winner. Drinks did take a longer than usual time to arrive. Food arrived within 25-minutes of ordering. Their staff, servers, and hosts were all very warm and welcoming and ensured we all had a great time during our visit. Pro tip: Definitely order their house spicy sauce - was a combination of Tabasco and Sriracha - felt like it, but was very very tasty!
Great place. Food was great, beer menu was good and wait staff (Mike) was awesome! Owner came around to make sure everything was to our liking. Would recommend the chicken and waffle.Everything about this place was awesome. The food, cocktails, decor and friendly staff. The owner Ed stopped by our table and made us feel welcome. Our waiter Mathew was attentive and made helpful suggestions since it was our first time. They have a way of making eggs, toast and potatoes something slightly different. Looking forward to going back for brunch and to trying lunch and dinner as well.
Wonderful food and always excellent service, Union & Finch offers a great night out. The bartenders are really stellar. It can get noisy but the restaurant gets packed for a reason. Make a reservation and enjoy!
It was nice they could accommodate our large group. Our server, Jake was awesome and probably the best part of the experience. The drinks were overpriced and underwhelming. Food was eager but fell flat to my expectations on taste and value. I would go back to try the lunch as the options look more appealing, but I wouldn’t get the drinks - keep it basic and lowkey and you’ll enjoy find it more valuable.
I expected more and got less. The food looks and sounds good but it falls short. I ordered the specialty waffle and received a hard cold waffle with fruit topping. Nothing like the waitress described. I order eggs over medium and they out hard twice. I settled for an omelette. On the other hand my husband enjoyed his food. The mimosas and service were good.
Posted tonight from Union and Finch in Allentown. I had heard for a long time that their burger was excellent there and I was in the mood for a burger so it felt like a no brainer. My bartender/server (sat at the bar) was very friendly as was any other staff (and I assume the owner or manager) that I spoke with at all. Started with a toasted pecan old fashioned that had a nice flavor to it. Enjoyed that thoroughly. For their Union Burger which was Pat LaFrieda beef with a red onion marmalade, bacon, and sweet pickles. This does not come with cheese so I added it. The beef/bacon/roll quality were all quite good. The fries were crisp and seasoned with salt. The burger was 2 temps over what I asked for, which is always a tough thing for me to get past. This made it so a lot of the juices were cooked out of it, and being someone who knows LaFrieda beef very well, it didn’t do it justice because of that. The onions were also a bit confusing to me. They still tasted perfectly fine, but the wording on the menu led me to believe they would be cooked down over a long period and be super tender. These weren’t that. All in all this burger definitely Didn’t Suck, but they missed on a few key things that really would have made it excellent.
This is a “medium” steak. This was their second attempt to cook a medium steak after waiting over an hour. I’ll let you be your own judge.
We ordered. Mac & cheese; pretty basic not loaded with cheese as described. 3 cheeses? I only tasted 1. I ordered the Union burger and my girlfriend had the roadside burger. Average burgers. The burger had no flavor but you sure did taste the salt. Most of the flavor came from the bacon. I came here because it had overall rating of 5. But ppl must be to generous or don't have taste buds. The Irish mule and Mediterranean mule tasted the same. Tasted more fruity than liquor. The waitress Robin was great server.
Would love to have been able to actually eat here. Made a reservation, was excited to try it for the first time for my birthday. While we could visibly see open tables, there was NO PARKING in a two block radius. May be something to work on or at least make known.
We were still charged for salad. I ate my wings and fries and drank my beverage and my husband's salad was not brought out. We asked for the check to leave and the salad was brought out. We asked for it to be returned and it was instead added to the bill. We paid the bill and left a tip but will not return. Thank you. Here is the uneaten salad left behind.
I've been going to Union and Finch since they opened and never had a complaint. Many friends have had birthday parties and baby showers here as well. Today my fellow nurse colleagues got together for brunch. I made reservations last week for noon. At 1:30 pm we were told we had to leave because there was need for our table. WE WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN.
Made dinner reservations here before a show on a Sunday night. Waited a while to be seated and made sure to put our order in ASAP. We waited one hour for two burgers that never arrived and ended up leaving without eating. The staff were nice and apologetic but it was evident that both the floor and kitchen were understaffed. The restaurant was busy but not full. Very poor management. This was our first time visiting and we will not be returning.
