I don’t know why this place has bad reviews. We arrived almost at closing time and didn’t think the food was going to be fresh, however, we loved it. We order #1 of mix carnes( carnitas, costillas, cueritos) it came with rice, beans, tortillas and salsas and we were not disappointed.

Hands down, best carnitas in the area. I go here every weekend to get a super burrito. I am about to go there right now !

They are super good the carnitas in Redwood City place by sequoia station, they are very soft and a great flavor they are the best on the Bay Area!!! DELICIOUS

This place gets BUSY during lunch time on the weekdays, and understandably so because it's SO GOOD. After coming a couple times, I can confirm it's my favorite carnitas spot! What do I recommend? Everytime I come here, I get the Combo #3 Mix with Jamaica. The carnitas are so delicious. Well seasoned and tender. A little salty, but in a good way. I love getting the mix because it has the pork meat, intestines, AND pork skin. Gotta love the chicharron.

I give 5 rating because the food super delicious. I hardly eat meat particularly pork. But this one it’s irresistible I only eat maybe 1/4 of burrito even I wanted to eat it all because of heslth reason. It tastes like siopao back home… the service is always friendly… when it’s busy it takes awhile so I order online.. highly recommended just eat in moderation…

Hella porktastic. Pata en carnitas is fun to eat and pick off the bones which I had previously. Today I had the cueritos and they are also as yummy as the pata but without the fun of using your hands to eat off the bone. I've had the regular carnitas to go but I think they dried out a little on my bus ride home but then I guess the salsa is there to moisten the meat a little but I think I just like fattier bits yummy 😋

These are BY FAR the best carnitas I have had in this corner of the woods. Being from Mexico City I miss having good Mexican food as the Bay Area is absolutely terrible for it, so whenever I have a place that makes me happy, such as Carnitas El Rincón does, it is truly worth mentioning it.

The carnitas are delicious. This place gets packed as soon as they open. Order ahead if possible. Also wouldn't recommend eating inside. It's always so hot. I would definitely recommend ordering for a big party. They have party trays.

Lots of parking at the back of the restaurant since its the samtrans parking. Simple family quick bite restaurant, average food prices. I didn't see door for disable nd rest room though.

The setting is perfect for a great and tasty meal as we experience today, the salsas are superb and the service is marvelous. The owner was there to greet us and share the history behind her restaurant and a little bit about her upcoming book, which really sounds terrific. It's easy to miss since it's nestled around many other businesses along el Camino Real, but make sure you look for it find it and enjoy spectacular meal. I am definitely coming back for a lunch or dinner and other meals in the future... Oh! and the price is very very reasonable. Delicious carnitas!

The spicy salsa was delicious and spicy enough to burn on the way in and the way out. Seating and atmosphere are tiled and reminiscent of Mex but could have used some cleaning.

The carnitas was wonderfully flavorful, juicy, and smoky BUT a little too salty on its own. I liked their taco as I think everything is more balanced—would absolutely recommend. Combo #3 was overall too salty to be enjoyable for me as I found the sides of #3 to be quite salty, which was too much in addition to the salty carnitas.

Food is good but needs to stay open later. the previous taqueria was open till 12 or 1am and was quite busy in the later hours. one of the few "late night" options in redwood city..

Popped in here since it was on my walk home from another store. The carnitas were good, but the rice and beans were not very flavorful. I mainly wanted rice and beans :(

Carnitas was reasonably ok (good flavor, not too salty, a bit on the dry side for my taste), but service was not great. I drove by past Carnitas El Rincon on my way to an errand on a Saturday right around lunch time and wanted to give it a shot. I tried calling in for a take-out order from where I was, but nobody picked up so I hopped back in my car and drove over. When I arrived at around 12:30PM there were 4-5 other parties waiting for their orders when I walked in the door, but there was no wait to order. I asked for a Super Burrito and then waited 20-25 minutes before the order was ready. When I returned home, I found that the cheese and avocado was missing and confirmed that I ordered a super burrito, but was uninterested in driving back to rectify the situation.

Other than the long wait to order with no one in front of me and the fact that what I ordered was incorrect (I ordered 2 super burritos and got 2 regular burritos instead), this place is fine. The carnitas were tasty. Too bad I didn't have the benefit of the super fixings.

No onions no cilantro no lime .but was given a chunk of carnitas that I requested to be cut and a cup of beans that was Very watery. Just watched my buddy waste his money expecting much more then what we received. We try calling the restaurant and the lady denied my complaint on my order. Will not order or recommend to anyone.

They weren’t just passing through; they were walking around in the back, eating scraps off the floor. Shockingly, the workers didn’t seem to care at all. As if that wasn’t enough, while waiting for my food in the dining area, a mouse boldly walked in through the front door in the middle of the day. Yes, in broad daylight. The dining room was packed, and nobody seemed to notice or react. I’ve never seen anything like this before—it was truly unsettling. That said, the food itself was pretty good, but the cleanliness (or lack thereof) is a huge concern. I’m not sure I’d come back after witnessing all of this.

I'm outside standing it's 10:06am and they still haven't yet opened the doors I'm not sure why they can hear me knocking and they are ignoring a couple customers and me

First time today trying out this place. I ordered 4 Carnitas Tacos, that's it! The wait for 4 tacos took forever! I decided to get my money back and leave. They more focused on preparing their catering order than counter orders. Other people were waiting for their orders too. Not going back there again, ever.

The food is nasty. The carnitas had no flavor very bland. The rice was nasty and the beans were cold. My burrito with Carnitas was filled with mostly fat and no meat just the yellow skin which I love but when that's all that is in your burrito it's nasty. I will stick to every other spot in redwood city or just make the trip to south city to LA Tapatia where the best carnitas are made. That's just my opinion

I went to buy two orders today my goodness the beans were like one teaspoon in each plater the meat very little it's really dissappointing to go to this place food very little for the price the bag with the two orders didn't weigh anything, definetely l won't come back it seemed like l was ordering my food for free.

Don't order chicken, steak, or fish tacos...they don't have it. But they will make you go through the list and tell you all they have is pork. They have one thing to make, it was rancid and sloped on a tortilla. And that was it, no side or garnish. Just as well, I guess! Ended up tossing it in the trash.

Why should 2 quesadillas and one burrito take more than 25 minutes to prepare. Haven’t gotten our food yet and no matter how good the food… it cannot make up for the eternity we’ve waited. Do not come here until they get better service

I thought this was el grullense but it was to late I already paid. the chicken was good but the Carnita and Asada tacos was not good. I do not recommend. price also is a rip off compared to grullense I gave all $20 in the tacos to a homeless person

First time i try em in this location carnitas had no flavor i don't recommend this place. If you want to eat some good carnitas try the location in Hayward i highly recommend it!!
