Opinions de Unincorporated Coffee Roasters Altadena
One of my favorite coffee shops!
Love this place! Their cold brew and nitro cold brew are my favorites but you really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. They also have great pastries (get there early because sometimes they sell out quick). Plus, all the guys are really friendly and they play great music. Overall an awesome local place and one of my favorite coffee shops around.
Best coffee shop I have been to! I seek out different roasters. And try every coffee shop I can find from diners to first wave to third wave. These guys nail it with consistent beans and quality. There drinks are on point and the services is quality without being pretentious. We are moving across town and I will still be a customer after I leave....a few years later and still my favorite.
This is one of my favorite coffee shops. I always look forward to my days off to come get myself either a paco delight or fancy latte.
Maybe the friendliest in the world? Still have more coffee shops to visit but will confirm
My favorite local coffee shop. They have great iced coffee drinks (Lil Sumtin is my go to) & sell excellent pastries. The croissants are divine. Their online ordering service is easy to use & my orders are usually ready for pickup in less than 20 minutes. They also have a great rewards program.
Pretty good coffee and great staff. Very friendly and knowledgeable. They roast their own coffee at the shop. The coffee comes from various parts in Latin America and Africa. Prices range from $16-24 for a 12 oz bag. They mainly have single origin coffee and a few blends thrown in there. Definitely recommend.
This is the coffee shop to be at in Altadena! Super chill, friendly, and all around reliable spot. They've been roasting for a few years now so it's nice to finally see them have a brick and mortar location. Great music selection, delicious coffee options, a go -to for a weekly supply of beans. Don't miss out.
Hands down best coffee in the area. I buy their beans often for both myself and friends. Have never had the pastries but they must be good because they’re always picked over or gone. They are always so kind and friendly, well deserving of all the business and success
Visited unincorporated Coffee Roasters a few weeks about because my normal coffee shop was closed for the week. The staff here were very friendly and answered all the questions I had regarding their drinks. The vanilla latte I order came out great! Will definitely be coming back in the future.
real good cuppa joe & lovely it didn't burn bc it's a local beloved spot
Reviewing after my second visit. So far very happy! First visit tried the Chemex blend of the day, second visit was a Guatamalan pour over. The first had unexpected fruity notes, which gave the coffee a refreshing quality. The second had some chocolate notes with a hint of honeydew as the coffee cooled. I also sampled a Columbian, which had a good, solid rich flavor. I will be back! The shop is definitely off the beaten path, but worth the diversion!
Fun atmosphere, prompt, friendly service. Matcha latte was good.
I visited Unincorporated Coffee on 5/29/24. This was my second time going here (first visit was sometime last year). The staff was very friendly and the cashier did a great job at giving some recommendations when I inquired about iced beverages. I purchased the Espresso Tonic (espresso with tonic water and a bit of sugar), which was deeeeelish and I highly recommend. They also have some vegan options; I had their vegan burrito on my first visit and that was also delish. Support independently owned businesses. If you're a coffee lover, independently owned coffee shops are the way to go.
One of my favorite places! And they are so good, they are expanding! Unique drinks that are yummy and different. The basics are fantastic too. Their coffee beans are amazing! And the owner actually did have a great mustache!
This is a great little shop. And some great traditional Afghan coffee with roasted moveries and the traditional pastry. I love the mission. I love their commitment to getting beans from certified small Growers who raise a coffee bean sustainably. I also love the fact that they are proponents of getting a fair price for the beans.
Always a good day when I get to unincorporated Altadena service always upbeat and on point
Their coffee is really good! Lots of parking on Sunday morning, park behind. Very friendly service 👍
Wonderful coffee shop with immaculate vibes everything here is freshly made the moment you walk into that door your greeted with warm kindness and the smell of freshly brewed coffee being made on the spot I happened to try the chocolate croissant paired with the Lil Sumtin’ and I never had coffee taste this delicious and smell good.
So cool These guys are passionate about their coffee. They live it all week. A great story too. The cold coffee drinks are insanely good. Organic coffee available. A seriously delightful hidden gem. What’s so solid about this coffee roaster is that they build amazing blends and are able to consistently keep producing the same blend at such a great consistency. Try the Maria Elena. Or the three idiots (named after the founders I suspect) Their quiet prophet espresso roast is proudly subtitled the Mona Lisa of Coffee. Very much appreciate the clear labeling of the roast date. It’s worth the drive to get a perfect pour over and take home a bag.
Nice coffee, good ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating options . Backyard had plenty of seating options. Friendly staff.
The best in LA. I say this strongly. Some of the best cold brew and espresso we’ve ever had came from this shop. I love their knowledge for coffee and super helpful guiding on flavor profiles. Tons of coffee to pick from all roasted inside the coffee shop. Cool spot to come kick it to work or just to hang out.
My husband stumbled across this place and talked about it so highly that I had to come see it! It is a hidden gem :0) I didn’t get to try the coffee yet but I liked the pastry so much!! And they have nice outdoor seating (and inside as well). The employees were friendly.
A good morning starts with a cup of black coffee! I like watching the mountains and enjoying a good cup of coffee best.Great store! This is the best morning coffee experience since I came to the United States. There is a quiet atmosphere and elements of a big city. I like the feeling of international integration, just like here!😄
Amazing company & coffee shop. We approached them to setup a rotating mural program to showcase local artists. They were quickly on board with the project and we got it up and running in record time. We look forward to bringing many talented artists to our wonderful community of Altadena! Thank you Arthur!
Love this place! Another awesome coffee place shoved into a super random, nondescript strip mall. Extremely nice staff, some unique drinks. The Iced Chagacino is my favorite. It’s so unique andy full of umami goodness.
Had to go out of my way to review these great beans someone got me from CA. The flavor notes on this coffee are complex and delicious. Awesome!!
First time here and I enjoyed The coffee and muffin very much. The service was with a smile and warm greeting. Definitely not your average run of the meal coffee spot

By far my favorite place to get coffee! It smells incredible inside, the staff are super sweet and helpful, and the coffee itself is fantastic. Do yourself a favor and drop in!

Our local Altadena coffee shop! We love it there! So grateful it survived the fires. Love all of their drinks, especially the Paco’s Delight and Le Lemon. Both are specialty drinks exclusive to Unincorporated. All of the ingredients are made in-house. They also roast their own beans!
Best Cortado I’ve had! Super friendly staff. In town for the Golden Jubilee of disc golf at the OG course and glad I found this place. The pesto and spinach danish was nummy.
Great coffee, friendly service, nice experience in Altadena. Take a time to enjoy a nice time in northern Lincoln Ave. Recommended!
My d-I-l sent me 2 pounds of your decafe as a gift. I am in Pennsylvania so I cannot speak for the ambiance of the shop but the coffee is great!
I believe I bought a bag of the La Casa beans! I am so very happy to have Unincorporated Coffee Roasters in Altadena! My forever coffee shop stop!
Amazing coffee, especially Paco’s Delight! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!
Super yummy coffee! Employees were sweet (:
Baristas are very sweet and knowledgeable. Love the vibes! Plenty of free parking in the lot behind the cafe. 10/10 cold brew and iced pour over. Will come again ☕️

Hands down best coffee + espresso in the area. Busy on the weekends and a favorite hangout for cyclists and neighbors. Really great specialty drinks and snacks too. My only complaint is that they charge for simple syrup. Which is just sugar and water. Please just consider milk and sugar (much like cups) a price included with selling coffee.
My wife and I went. The atmosphere and place was great. Although sitting inside when it gets busy gets a little tight and can feel crowded. Ordered a espresso tonic. While the drink was really good they forgot my order and I had to go up and remind them after I noticed people behind me getting their orders. But because the coffee and Almond crossiant was so good I'll be going back.
I really wanted to like this place, but…hey you, yeah Mr Moustached Cash Register guy. Are you having a bad day, or is sulking and looking impatient just part of your job persona. I’m sorry if we interrupted your day to buy coffee and pastries from your establishment. The coffee and the pastries were excellent, but the attitude left a bad taste in my mouth.

Used to be very nice until they moved to a smaller area - now it's always crowded and cramped and the staff are constantly making mistakes with one member forgetting about and burning my burrito, which was the last one they had - They never have enough in stock either. The chai latte tasted watered down, the chocolate croissants are somehow overly bitter and the drip coffee tastes burnt despite everything costing more than a Starbucks. I used to really like this place, but now it's not worth it.
Paid 16.5 for two watered down drinks. I've been here before and get simple coffee drinks (americano, lattes, etc), but today I decided to try something other than the usual (iced mocha & iced Paco's delight). The Paco's Delight was drinkable, it had a citrusy flavor at the beginning, but at the end of the sip it left a weird light flavor that I wouldn't even say is coffee, and the mocha was definitely not drinkable... That one was for my bf, he just took a sip and told me it tasted like water, I didn't believe him until I tried it. It didn't taste like chocolate, it didn't taste like coffee and it didn't taste like milk. Not sure how they make it but definitely very expensive for an undrinkable, watered down drink. Unfortunately, this place will not be on my list from now on. Also, cash should be accepted and service should improve. I asked for recommendations and they just recommended the first drink that came to mind just to give me something and I did feel rushed to order even though there was nobody behind me at the beginning. Then I was looking at the Paco's delight and I asked if it would taste better hot or cold and I was told that because of the weather, it would taste better iced. Really? I knew it was over 90 degrees outside, and I don't think I need to explain myself about the answer that I was expecting.
