I went with my neighbor to this hidden gem. I wish I had taken pictures. The food was really good. I ordered a .5 lb Harris burger. Delicious! She ordered French toast, also very yummy. Even though it was raining, the restaurant was busy, fyi outdoor dining only. Going back again to enjoy the food and beautiful scenery.

My coworkers and I took a customer out to lunch here and the food was great. Multiple people mentioned how good their meals were. Lots of variety and it was the perfect lunch spot for the beautiful weather we had.

The garlic fries, my red dragon smoothie, the rainbow latte, their service and the cafe are all great. The location is beautiful and relaxing. Their antique car, adorable bicycle and floral decor is definitely picture worthy too. Great spot for a meet up. I opted for coconut water instead of milk for my red dragon smoothie and it was delicious!

Little on the expensive side for lunch but definitely worth for the taste. Try chicken and waffles with spicy maple syrup is good. Portobello burger tastes good too. Can also get good Groupon deals for this place.

I guess I just love to drive around the canyon road a lot, and it happens that at the foot of the winding road, there would be a good place to eat and feel that breeze of peace. It's like a little escape from the hectic city life.

Casual, patio dining with good food and friendly service. Pet friendly as well. The waiter even came out with a couple of bacon strips for our service dog! Really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. Will definitely come back next time we're in Glendale.

Good food! Lovely atmosphere! We were able to have our dog with us which was so nice and they even brought out a bowl of water for her! The chai was mild and sweet, but very enjoyable. The staff were so helpful, especially the sweet lady who was cleaning off the tables, I did not get her na.. Will absolutely come back!

Update three years later... Today passing by around one PM, this place was almost full. Sunny after a heavy rain yesterday, we went in for a quick bite. It was refreshing to see this place again. Susanna's touch of elegance was apparent all over. We sat at table 10. Martha took our order and Roberto cooked for us. The seen here is so very refreshing. No need to talk about the food and service- impressive. The ambiance is breathtakingly fresh. The era she depicts is so homey that I wouldn't be surprised if Hollywood shows up for a couple of takes. We have seen many owners and transformations at this place. None stands out like this one. None earmarked to become our own landmark. Such a lush decoration, touch of class and ambiance right here in our neighborhood. We truly should cherish this place and support them as much as we can. Such an inviting place to be. My original review three years ago... Eric made our food- So fresh and yummy. Genavive took care of us very nicely. We sat out the open area. Years were on. It was pleasant. Rainy and wet out but pretty cozy in. Later we met Susanna who along with hubby Vahagn Gevorgyan ran this cafe for the past two years. So much so that the second cafe will open in mid month in Van Nuys federal buildings. Haik and Kayla prepared our coffee and in all we had a great visit. The WiFi is free and the cafe is rated "A" by the county's health.

I am in love with this unexpected little restaurant occupying an old gas station in the Glendale hills. The menu puts a foodie spin on classic and simple favorites like grilled cheese, etc. I got the pear and Gorgonzola salad and it was delicious (and huge). My friend got the Brussel sprouts and they were super tasty too! This is super great experience and I highly recommend Wild Oak Cafe.

We liked everything: service, food and atmosphere. I also liked the heaters at the patio which made me feel warm and cozy, because it was pretty chilly outside.

Came across this place in passing. The beautiful decor caught my attention and a coworker proposed we have lunch here. You enter shop to place your order first then find outdoor seating (no indoor seats). I got the avocado toast with poached eggs, which was very delicious, and served with good portions. The dining area is beautiful and restrooms are clean and maintained. Overall a very nice café.

Great little place, cute, funky decor, and plenty of seating outside. Really nice coffee drinks and sandwiches. Excellent homemade potato chips. Charming vibe, good music, friendly and helpful staff. If you are driving too fast on Chevy Chase Drive, you'll miss it. Slow down!

The lavender latte was so good! Food was good as well (we ordered breakfast plate) but could be a little better but for the price it's fair. Seating area is so relaxing and great if you want to bring your dog to lay beside you while you enjoy your meal. Love how it's in the middle of a neighborhood so you don't get the noisy street traffic. Great place overall 👌🏼 loved it!

We are in LOVE with this place!!!! Customer service is always amazing and the food is delicious. We came across this place last year, I believe through Yelp or something because my husband recommended it .... Did not disappoint! My nephew's loved it and it was the most beautiful brunch under the rain we could've had. This time we went back during a sunny day and it is gorgeous as well. The location is beautiful, the place is really clean and the food is delicious 🤤 loved our stuffed French toast, our breakfast sandwich, the chicken and waffles. Their orange juice is freshly squeezed and the coffee is soooo good too! Highly recommend this place!

Went to Wild Oak Cafe today for brunch. Staff was friendly and the food was great. Parking is tough, but it's worth it for the fresh made smoothies and food. The patio has a relaxed feel. Would definitely go again when I'm in Glendale.

Innovative Constructions

This restaurant located in the Chevy Chase area is unique in so many ways. It seems to be the only restaurant in the neighborhood, but they definitely made sure to serve really good food and the service was pretty good as well. This restaurant feels like you’re having a great meal at somewhere close to the beach so it’s really nice and very different which I liked a lot and I believe you will definitely enjoy eating yet. This gets a big YES as recommendation.

A great place for brunch. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and plan to return. I initially planned to photograph my meal, but was too involved with enjoying it. I had a hot chocolate to go with my turkey bacon sandwich. The sandwich was amazing, each bite was flavorful and the sides pair extremely well with the sandwich. A pickled slice of onion was added to my plate, at first I thought it was odd but turn out to compliment the sandwich very well. I plan to write another review and add more pictures.

Visited Wild Oak Cafe in March of 2024 We came for the viral rainbow latte and it was really great. Nothing too magical, just good espresso and good steamed milk. I had one of their burgers and it was delicious. This place is simple, nothing too complicated, just fresh ingredients and good seasoning. The service was good. Staff were friendly and the food was brought out in a timely manner. They have a wonderful patio on a not too bust street. I'd love to ride to it some time. They have bike racks! If I remember correctly, it was a bit pricey but nothing too far out of the ordinary for the area.

Down right Awesome neighborhood cafe in Glendale. The food is amazing and extremely delicious. The casual outside patio seating is great for summertime breakfast and lunch dining. Service is pretty quick after you place your orders at the counter inside. This is definitely not a cafe experience that you want to rush. You will just want to sit with friends and have great conversations here with friends.

We visited this place for the first time. Outdoor seating only and you sit under an awning. The service is fantastic and the food is so so good! The stuffed strawberry French toast was absolutely amazing! It is stuffed with a delicious cream cheese and orange marmalade mixture. Topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, and a dusting of powdered sugar. Served with warm maple syrup. Absolutely fantastic. The other dish was chicken and waffles and my goodness, the chicken was fried perfectly and super tender and moist. You have a choice of regular maple syrup or spicy maple syrup. We had the regular maple syrup and it was fantastic! The fresh squeezed orange juice did not disappoint at all, and it was probably the best orange juice I’ve ever had. The lavender coffee you see in the picture was so incredibly good and very tasty. I would go back in a heartbeat and I highly recommend you try this place. The Wild Oak Café in Glendale, California. I had such a great experience here! They serve digital lattes where you can add any picture you want, and it came out so cute. The latte itself tasted amazing — rich, smooth, and perfectly made. The service was super friendly and fast, and the whole atmosphere is really nice and chill. It’s the perfect spot to sit down, read, or get some work done. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!

It's a cute cafe the salads are fresh and delicious keep in mind this is the only thing I've had. The ride coming here is a awesome it's a beautiful road to travel. The only thing I didn't like because I have to go to the counter and order your food. They expect you to tip them prior to receiving your food. I don't tip until I receive my food and see the kind of service they provide. This was my first time here I was not impressed with the delay of the food so that's why I gave him a 4. It's nothing like someone coming to your table and taking the order. The salads are $17 but you're paying for the unique location. Is she all I really hungry this will not feel you up so I ask for sandwiches as well.

This is such a cute place. We came at lunch time on Sunday and it was busy. We were able to get a table shortly after we ordered but it seemed as if they couldn't keep up with crowd. Waited about 35 minutes for our food which was fine because it was great but we and others around us had to ask a couple of times for our coffee/drinks and didn't receive it until we were almost done with lunch. They got it backwards. Would have loved to have our coffee while we were waiting for our food :) The staff was great!

Great day to eat outside. Covered, pleasant surroundings. Go inside to order, sign says to order food first then find a table. Party of 5 with a high chair didn't have a problem finding one. Staff delivers food and beverages. Beer and wine is available. Ordered portabello Burger with salad as side. Salad had very good light lemony dressing. Portabello with cheese, sauteed onions and red peppers looks good,was ok , not a lot of flavor to the mushroom . The breakfast sandwich looked and tasted very good per friend

Great atmosphere. Good food. I expected more of a sit down restaurant. Reality is that it is an indoor grill and market with outdoor seating. The food was good and very filling. The outdoor seating area is very peaceful. All in all a nice place to eat and hang out.

Very cute cafeteria nestled in the foothills of Glendale. Cafeteria style: line up, order, be seated. I had the Cali Bowl (roasted cauliflower + egg) which was nice and toasty and decent egg quality. I came on a Sunday at 1PM and it was very crowded. Kitchen and wait staff were on it, though. But, the level of crowdedness was not to my taste with the size of this restaurant and what is supposed to be a calm ambiance. Overall, good! I would visit again only during off hours. Reservations = No Card = Yes + Contactless Parking = Some on lot + Street

Place is spacious and food is amazing. Portions are Def for 2. I enjoyed having these turkey sandwich and they're veggie burger was spot on with theyr portobello mushrooms. They have sweet potatoes fries options. And it's in the middle of mother nature. Love it! Also they have good green juice. I ordered an ABC juice and an orange with ginger juice. Very fresh. Also a hot chocolate. 🔥 one con they have though. Their restroom needs very much more attention. It's quite smelly idk if there's no ventilation in there. But it's always wet floor or sticky floor. Toilet seat looks like it's not cleaned up. Piss everywhere. Yellow wet floor sign always in there by toilet. Had to clean it before using. Minor adjustment but if it can improve it would be 5 star!

Looking for a good brunch spot, I came across this place with the beautiful rainbow lattes and had to try it. My fiance and I got the stuffed french toast, breakfast burrito, and rainbow latte during our visit. Overall everything was pretty good! I enjoyed the orange marmalade that was added to the french toast and the fresh strawberries on top. The breakfast burrito was juicy and they had a fabulous salsa to go with it. The rainbow latte was gorgeous but tasted like a normal latte - it's more to visually enjoy and get your Instagram picture. The food was good, but the price ($50 for two people, including tip) was a bit high. You order your food at the counter inside and then you have the option of taking it to go or eating on the patio. The patio was a bit on the crowded side, even on a Monday morning, and you choose your own seat rather than being told where to sit. I felt there wasn't quite enough distance among the tables and would have preferred if the employees chose seats for the customers. They provided hand sanitizer at the register and at each table which was great!

I went here on a Sunday for brunch with company. It is visibly located on Chevy Chase, there are a few parking spots available and plenty of street parking. We got the Sweet Veggie juice and Print latte. You can choose what type of print you want on your latte from their 9-12 options. We also had the Breakfast Sandwich and Waffles as well as the Crispy Chicken Sandwich with side of sweet potato fries. The beverages were delightful. The sandwiches were also delicious. I am giving a star less because it was a bit pricey. I had similar type of the foods ordered with the same quality elsewhere for a cheaper price. Service was good.

While we may have just had a sub par day when it came to the food, I think I would try this place again. It has charm. A good staff and apparently great hot drinks. We got two order of chicken and waffles. The chicken was overcooked and a bit tough. The waffle was good. I don’t recommend the spicy syrup though. I said I wanted regular and got one cup of each. The spicy one was not to my liking but… maybe it will be for you. We also got the avocado toast and… it was messy but very good!! 😊 The outside seating here on a beautiful morning was great. The staff was very attentive and informative. I would go back.

The poached egg avocado toast was really great. The steak sandwich was a bit chewy but overall okay but small portion. Coffee was good. The chef are so friendly and so professional and courteous. The staff super friendly. Very polite and pleasant. The location is wonderful. As for the atmosphere, the chairs are very dated and the floor needs a lot of cleaning. This place needs a lot of attention in terms of furniture and chairs. They're worn out and not comfortable at all. Mismatched pieces. This place has a lot of potential so I hope the look into this and upgrade the seating areas .

Decided to come out for a later breakfast with perfect weather. A friend of mine recommended this place so we tried it. There is outdoor seating, with umbrellas to sit in the sun or tables under an overhang. The inside is cute, and primarily just the kitchen. They have coffee, breakfast all day, and good options for lunch sandwiches. I had the breakfast burrito and it was outstanding, with hashbrowns for the potato. The latte was fine, a little too much sugar but a good standard latte. I would happily come back here purely for the outside enjoyment.

Overall a nice place to go with another person. Great vibes and the aesthetic is well worth the drive. The only part that’s been lacking so far is the food. It’s not necessarily bad but it could most definitely be better.

This place takes no reservations. I called and verified. I let them know I was coming on a Saturday at 10am and they said it wouldn’t be too busy, that Sundays were their busiest day. When I got there Sat. at 9:45am, there was only one table available outside in the direct sun. I was expecting to meet with more people. Luckily a table next to mine was shortly available. Hard to grab a table and still have to wait in line inside to order your food. I got the breakfast burrito. Needed seasonings (s&p) and a better salsa. My friend came at 10:15ish. The kitchen staff started yelling inside that everything on the menu was a one hour wait. My friend ordered a rolled oats smoothie and coffee since they said that would be quicker. To our surprise she received her order 35+ minutes later. I understand places get busy but for a smoothie and coffee the wait time was ridiculous. Not sure if they have enough staff or what the issue was, not blaming the workers. Management? The drive to the place is nice. Good place to take pictures nearby. Parking is very limited. Side streets are small.

Come to this place for years and years, have enjoyed the atmosphere to sit and relax outside, love the lattes and bowls. BUT they’ve started to charge extra for everything and they do not offer healthy options for kids. So for breakfast the one kid option is French toast with French fries. Please offer healthy alternatives for children! They need vegetables, they need fruit.

Our First time here. We ordered the waffles and the breakfast plate. They arrived in a reasonable time and the food was good. BUT it took 30 minutes for our two lattes to be served. Even after three times that I had to get up and bring it to their attention. We asked to comp us the two drinks, (take it off our bill) they said the BEST she could di was to offer us a pastry. I know it was busy at 12:21, but to take 30 minutes for our drinks.

Good location and good atmosphere. The food and drinks are pretty looking but mediocre tasting. We went way after lunch hour so it wasnt busy and still waited over 30 minutes for our food. The rice from chicken and rice bowl was so soggy and honestly texture was worse than instant rice. My “poached” egg was harder than a hard boiled egg. If you care about Instagram-able food then give it a go, otherwise i would probably avoid.

Oaks Cafe has an outstanding atmosphere. The food is ok. The black coffee is watery and very little taste. The latte was very good! The man who brought our plates to the table was very nice. But, the girl at the counter had a horrible attitude and appeared as if she was annoyed answering any question. Overall, I felt it was over priced - $61 for 2…YIKES! So I would say the food is ok but, to be honest, when I go out to eat, I expect to be welcomed and treated with respect. Unfortunately, Oak Cafe’s service at the counter left A LOT to be desired!

Honestly not worth the price, the portions of the food are small prices are high, food is bland like they are allergic to seasoning and the staff was less than friendly and seemed quite annoyed.

It was my first time dining here with my husband, and unfortunately the food did not live up to the reviews we had read. We ordered the Steak Cilantro Salad and the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, and both were disappointing. The steak in the salad was extremely chewy, even for medium rare, with a rubbery texture. The salad itself felt very basic, like prepackaged greens poured onto a plate with premade tortilla strip toppings. Despite being described as cilantro-based, the dressing lacked flavor. The only element that tasted fresh were the green bell peppers. For an $18 salad, it fell far short of expectations. The grilled chicken sandwich was equally underwhelming. The chicken appeared to be pre-frozen and then thawed before cooking, resulting in a rubbery texture that split oddly when eaten. Overall, it was unpleasant. Unfortunately, the best part of the meal was the fries, and even those were subpar. Our total came close to $50, which felt unjustified for what tasted like cheaply sourced ingredients. While the staff was friendly and attentive, the food itself was a letdown. I would recommend trying elsewhere if you’re looking for a better food experience.

Ordered steak and eggs but had to take out the “steak” because it was like leather and unchewable. Ordered breakfast burrito with hash browns - they got the order wrong and did normal potatoes. There is very little meat and is like 80% potato wrapped in flour. They up-charge on the food and drinks for no good reason. Also they don’t give you any sides except on the burger Service was good.
