Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Had a great experience at this Cracker Barrel, the other local ones (namely Winter Garden's CB) should take note of the Altamonte one. Greeted right as we walked into the store, then again at the hostess stand. Party of 3 at 11am on a Saturday and the place was buzzing busy with guests, we got seated immediately. Our server was attentive and kept our drinks full, even offered us all to go cups when we were done. Food was on point. Ladies bathroom was clean enough given the time of day. Checking out took a while with one register open while another register person was distracted by a guest with too many questions about whatever. Our cashier was friendly and apologized for the wait. We left with freshly filled to go cups, full bellies and a bag full of old fashioned reasonably priced candy.

4 of us went. We all agreed, the food was delicious, service was on point, and the price was very fair. I had the roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy, and Mac n cheese. It was excellent. The biscuits were very good as well. The sweet tea was as good as it gets. Service was awesome.

The ultimate "unique" win at this Cracker Barrel is that you can actually enjoy the porch without the usual Disney-area crowds. Finding a quiet moment to sit in a rocking chair or start a game of checkers before a meal is a rare luxury, and it honestly makes the whole experience feel like a true escape. Located in Altamonte Springs, this spot delivers those heavy country vibes and nostalgic decor we all love, but with a pace that lets you actually breathe. I stopped in during the afternoon and was seated immediately—no wait at all, which is practically unheard of for a location in this part of Florida. ​The food was exactly what you want from comfort cooking—hot, fresh, and consistently delicious. What really elevated the visit, though, was the service. Our server, Donovan, was absolutely top-tier; he was attentive, fast, and had that genuine hospitality that makes a huge difference in your day. While you're waiting for your plates, you’ve got to try your hand at the classic peg puzzle on the table; it’s a total rite of passage. ​The only slight curveball is that this specific location is a little tucked away and surprisingly difficult to find compared to their usual high-visibility spots right off the highway. It’s a bit of a hidden gem in that regard, so keep your eyes peeled as you’re navigating. Once you’re there, it’s the perfect place to disconnect for an hour. If you’re looking for the best Southern-style comfort food in the area without the headache of a massive line, this is the spot to hit. Take a minute to relax on the porch afterward—you won’t regret it!

Really enjoyed my experience at this location! I thought it’s super cute how they games and rocking chairs outside! You can hang out and play a round of checkers while you wait for a table! Our sever Benjamin was awesome and very patience! He suggested we try the country cherry lemonade, he did warn us that it was rather sweet so he made mine way less sweet! I really liked it, it was like Chickafila lemonade which I enjoy. I got scrabbled eggs and tomato slices plus a side order of the spicy chicken sausage, which they were not very spicy but did have a kick to it. I also got the Fresh Berry French Toast Bake it was sooo good! It was warm and fluffy in the middle!! It was so perfect! I was so happy I got them!! Although it’s got bacon also, which I thought was so weird! But I just got it with out the bacon. The biscuits were also warm they have this special berry jam that was good but I prefer butter. Food came out at a decent time. The service was great even the manager Linda came by our table and asked if we needed anything! I did not like the cash out deal they’ve got going on, you pay at the register where the little store is. Oh yea there a super cute shop at the entrance! Idk I like paying at the table and leaving. I don’t want to wait in line to pay? I later noticed you can actually scan the receipt and pay. I’ll def be going back and order the same exact meal! I was very satisfied! But I definitely recommend to try the berry French toast!!!

All the food was amazing. The meatloaf is wholesome, the sweet carrots I'm obsessed with and the turnip greens are great. The onion petals are super crunchy and soft inside and the dipping sauce is perfect for them.

What a great experience..Started off with our server off the year Ryan M. Immediately offering my service dog water which is the first time in at least 15 different restaurants that I haven't had to ask for it .+ 10,000 points He was super helpful in navigating the new menu since several of the old favorites were replaced with new favorites + 50 points.. .We got the cheddar curds which came out fast and hot and yummy + 50 points ..after the app we took the dog out to relieve himself ..so he kept the food hot for us in warmer till we returned...+ 50 points ..He brought us our food i got the pot roast which was awesome nice big pieces of meat nice presentation My Fiance ordered biscuits and gravy sugar cured ham and well done scrambled eggs which all came out perfect..and she is particularl about her eggs..+1000 points..The order came out perfectly hot delicious and very filling..had to take some home..+1000 he was even kind enough to make us a fresh pot of coffee so it was ready when we finished eating ..+ 500 points ..Ryan was super attentive to our needs and knew what we would need b4 we did + 10000 points ..after we finished we spoke with Vanessa the store manager to let her know what a great job the entire staff did..She was very friendly and a joy to talk to..+10000 points..and of course can't forget about the sweet lady in the country store, my better halfs favorite section!She was very helpful in locating a mirror ..the entire back wall..and helped us find a few things we were looking for and again was super helpful and friendly unfortunately didn't catch her name but she had red hair Saturday night shift...+5000..points .. Overall the restaurant, Store & facilities were very clean, well stocked, Fairly priced & displayed beautifully! We did miss the charm of the fireplace burning, but it was 65ish out so we understood..Thank you to all store 503⁰ We Look forward to coming back soon! Thanks for making our date night such a great experience!

Excellent customer service in bothe the store and restaurant. Our server was apologetic for the wait time but he shouldn't have been, it was holiday season. Food was delicious as always and ditto for the country vibe. Love this place and PS- anyone complaining about the change in the sign truly needs to get a life.

Wonderful first time experience. Our server, Ryan, was polite and provide top tier service. The food was incredible and the restaurant was definitely not what I expected. It was a pleasant surprise. Bland unseasoned food made for elderly palates not for everyone. Meatloaf was OK with a bit of salt and pepper but not sandwich worthy. Loose not firm. Chicken and dumplings were bland no seasonings. All in, The only thing that I would come back here for would be a slab of meat loaf to make a sandwich with and that would be about it.

08/06/2022 - are wait. Staff was excellent. The store was neatly organized and was asked several times if we needed assistance. The restaurant had the biggest opportunity was the 57 minute wait from sit down to food arriving at the table. When it did arrive at the table most of it seemed that it would have been sitting for a while and surprisingly for a side of my meal, only one piece of bacon. They did have a help wanted sign out front which is probably why the service was so slow.

We have eaten at other crackel barrels numerous times, but this experience was very disappointing. Our breakfast took at least 45 minutes to come out and then half the food was cold.

It came in a kitty size cup. When I had mentioned to her that I had ordered a large drink, she said all the Drinks come in the same cup. Once I said, I would like a refund on the four dollar beverage since it was a kitty size cup. She basically told me it wasn’t her problem and she can’t process the refund as they don’t do refunds in store. When I asked her how I’d go about that online she said I don’t know we just don’t do them here. She was of no help and could care less that they’re charging that much for such a small Drink. I’d rather save my money. I’m OK not revisiting this location or maybe even Cracker Barrel if that’s really how they operate.
