I really really love this place, I wish I could come back for more. The dishes come in courses, and they serve soup, salad, breads, appetizer for free. My favorite dishes are tasty minestrone and ravioli. However the portion is wayyyy out of control, I feel bad wasting my food, really.

Old world style, service and ambiance!! The food is always yummy and plentiful, with fresh warm sourdough bread and two bruscetta options that are fantastic. I also can't get enough of their lentil soup, when they make it (typically serve a very good minestrone, but occasionally swap it for a to-die-for lentil) We ate here weekly when we lived just up the road, and I miss it!! The bar can get noisy, as it is a local hangout. Its contemporary music can wash out the Italian music in the dining room and pretty much sound awful if you are there late Friday night and sitting just outside the bar area. Lol. But if you are looking for classic yummy food in an old world place that will remind you of days gone by WITH AMAZINGLY lovely wait staff and ownership, this is a must visit.

We start out with polenta then she has bread as well .Then we had salad and 1 small bowl of minestrone soup. Then came the main course. Lasagna was really big plate .

Old school Italian restaurant. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Food was great. The polenta had just the right amount of cheese. The bread was hot and fresh. The salad was nicely dressed and the raw peppers added another level of flavor without being overbearing. Pretty sure the delicious soup was homemade. Pasta was cooked perfectly. I'll definitely be coming back.

The family style meal service and personal attention from the owners truly reminds me of a Sunday meal with my Nonna. We love watching the owners greet each table and often sit to share conversation. It makes the experience about so much more than just great food.

Food was good. Italian(old Italian American. Kids(or younger folks) wait on you, but they are solid, cooks are good at timing & consistency.

This restaurant was top tier. Our waiter was really polite and professional. So many courses of free appetizers we were already full be the time our food came. Had to take half of it home 🤣

The real deal. So nice to get back to a traditional old school place. Sage our waitress was exceptional. Comfortable relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Food a plenty at a very reasonable price by today's standards. The bill was about $20 less than our typical bill at other local places. No electronic devices at the table to take your order or pay your bill. Just good old fashioned service. The only thing we left wanting was to come back again.

This is a quirky italian place that we stopped in traveling route 88 to Murphys California. We are vegetarians and a lot of the other restaurants that were open (6pm on Friday) did not have veggie options surprisingly. I figured we couldn't go wrong with italian and this place was very close. I walked in and immediately loved the look of the restaurant. If you've been to Buca di Beppo it's kind of like that with lots of photos on the wall and italian statues around. It wasn't too busy and we were able to be seated right away. The table was set with a cute salad plate that I just loved the pattern of. Our waiter was young but friendly enough. The menu isn't the largest but it has all the staples. No pictures so I took to Yelp and Google to get a look at the food and see was was recommended. I settled on Eggplant Parmesean and my husband went with Fettuccini al Alberto. The waiter brought out bread and butter and parmesan cheese. The bread was ok, it didn't seem homemade and was a little bit like store brought sliced white bread. I was starving though so I welcomed anything to get started. I wish there had been olive oil and vinegar though. Next he brought out a big plate of polenta, which unfortunately was smothered in meat sauce. We had mentioned to him that we were vegetarians twice when we were ordering, so it was pretty disappointing to be presented with a meat dish. We pointed to him we couldn't eat the polenta with the meat sauce and he apologized but they did not offer to replace the dish with a regular red sauce. I was bummed because it looked really good and I really wish they had brought out a regular one. Seems like they could just use the red sauce as a standard so it After that there was a salad which had a red wine vinegar and olive oil, it also came with peppers, chickpeas and celery, which I thought was a nice way to add some color and flavor to the salad. We then were brought a lentil soup in a large blue bowl. The blue bowl seemed like an odd vessel but it worked. The soup was very tasty! Finally our entrees came. The entree portions were a little on the smaller side compared to other restaurants, however it is an appropriate amount considering how many appetizers they provide before it. I was surprised the eggplant parm didn't come with a side of spaghetti, but I could add some for $5. The eggplant was good, not overly fried and the red sauce was very tasty. My husband was very happy with the Fettuccini al Alberto (which was basically Alfredo). Overall this is kind of a funny place that had a quirky charm. I would come back again knowing what to ask for in terms of the polenta.

A lot of locals hangout at this spot and it is quite lively on the weekends. Food wise is what one would expect from a small town. The price you pay is not bad for a four course meal. The place reminds me of the 80's. Very nice staff. The bread and soup are great. Pesto sauce is the best sauce by far. The red meat sauce is good also. Lasagna was great. Spicy shrimp was really bad. Small shrimp and bland flavor.

First of all, I want to say that the food was really good. However, the service was painfully much too slow. Our dinner took a little over two hours. For me, that is much too long. We almost wanted to walk out in the middle. Soda and waters were not offered to refill. Plates were not cleared until the next item came. The server Serena was friendly, but never saw her until she asked if we wanted our next item. Then she just disappeared. The other servers were visible, but she wasn't. Even waiting doe our check seemed to take forever at this point. Unfortunately, we were sat on the otherside of the wall of what I assumed was the kitchen. They have some kind of very loud machine that makes conversation impossible and vibrates the wall and table. Maybe they should use that space for a drink station for the servers?? Or something? Sitting customers there is NOT a good option. I don't think I will be back anytime soon despite the good food. The experience was not a good one. This place does have a lot of potential, but in my opinion, service and atmosphere is just as important as the food served.

The food is good for the area. It wouldn't make it in a bigger city. Are there last night and service was bad. Either she was new or just had a personality problem. As a waitress you should never sit your people down and then say to them I'll get to you as soon as I can. When she did finally get to us she just was rambled and said she had like 20 tables to serve, I counted she had four, but I get that it can be overwhelming at times but you do not tell your customers that. Then she served us our salads...twice, obviously it was for the next table, so we politely declined. She was complaining to the bartender about another customer's drinks where the whole restaurant could hear her. And then complained that the customers didn't tell her what was supposed to be in the drinks. So that customer got up and got her own drinks. It was just all around bad.
