Great local donut place that's been around forever for good reason. My personal favorites are their buttermilk donuts, blueberry cake and their cinnamon rolls.

Donut Stop by far has the best donuts ever. We stopped here on the way out of town to take some to my sister and brother-in-law who live in Colorado. Everyone agreed that there is not another donut shop or donut like this one.

LOVE doughnut stop, we go a lot! Sometimes the line is long but that's just because they are the best! We have had a b'day party here and they can provide giant doughnuts that are amazing and are always friendly!

Best doughnuts around! The owner was great and offered to ship me doughnuts to Dallas tx when he found out I drove that far for cherry long John's! Not one doughnut store in all the dallas area compares. You can't get a cherry doughnut in dallas!

I just happened to be unlucky and got the leftover donuts from the grand opening, but it gave me a great wave of nostalgia and just to top it off the worker there was pretty.

This place is my top favorite place to go to for doughnuts. My grandpa went here for years and they haven't lost their touch! I come here when I crave for something sweet! Definitely recommend this place!

Love the Apple Fritters they are NOT the fat doughy ones with little apple but they are flat crispy buttery and APPLES IN EVE-RY BITE. Thank you Donut Stop. Oh I forgot to mention my husband's LOVE FOR THEM.

We love this Donut Stop! Great location, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We make a fun day out of it by going for donuts, then visiting the Goodwill across the street.

Once my mouth recovered from the shock of tasting this heavenly manna all it could do was proclaim its glory. A dozen of these doughnuts sent to a hostile country would bring world peace A cherry longjohn from this place is now my emotional support pastry.

I'll give 5 stars in hopes that my visit was an off day. Lived in Amarillo years ago and Donut Stop was my go-to place with the kids on Saturday mornings. My choice was always a Buttermilk Roll. That was my choice yesterday as well. My memory was better than my roll. There was no glaze on my roll, it was almost burnt, it was exceptionally dry. My favorite place for weekend donuts!

The iced latte was surprisingly good. Donut was soft and fluffy and delicious, and I liked that I could see them making donuts behind the counter. The seating area was very cute. This place has good vibes. Also very affordable.

Driving on the freeway and needed a coffee. I got off at the next exit and found this gem. The staff is absolutely amazing and friendly. The donuts made me wish I had bought more. And the coffee was exactly what I needed to wake up. Great stop on my trip.

I grew up in Amarillo and have always loved The Donut Stop. Anytime I come to town, I have to stop in for a Cherry Glazed Donut. My family loves the chocolate! I wish there was a location here in Chicago. Do yourself a favor and grab a few cherry and chocolate donuts when you are in town.

This place was great. I was so surprised that it was empty when I arrived. With quality like that and suck an interestingly designed building... I would think this place would be constantly packed. I could see this place being the go-to donut place before the world moved to a minimal gathering mindset. If I lived in Amarillo and wadnt just passing through, I can promise you Donut Stop would be a consistent location for my family and I. I really hope I just came on a slow day and this place usually gets a lot of business, because they 1000% deserve it!

Best coconut cake doughnut I've ever had! Glad we stopped. Staff was patient while we chose from all the options. So many boxes pre built-it was a little scary at first, but after tasting them, it makes sense. Line out the door is a definite possibly!

Good donuts! I got chocolate cake donuts, cinnamon sugar cake, coconut cake, a bear claw, an apple fritter, and donut holes. If you get the donut holes when their fresh and still warm, they're SO good! My favorite was the coconut, but the bear claw and apple fritter were also delicious! I paid for a half dozen, and they told me I could get one more at no charge. Nice people! Their coffee is good too! I ordered a breve latte when I went the first time.

Its a cheap donut place, local and I love it. They make pretty good stuff for such an inexpensive place. They make birthday donuts, did you know? I don't know how much they cost but they're ridiculously huge. They're quick and busy.

I like it because it's a relaxing peaceful environment where you can gather your thoughts your plans for the day It allows me to write down what I need to do for the day or write down some invoices to turn in and even write down my plans for the day and enjoy some coffee with some delicious donuts..

I really enjoy the donuts here. I like that I can get the donuts I want. For example I do not like chocolate or coconut and I just ask to not put any in my order and they don't. I just ask for a mix except those two, and I like the assortment I get.

Delicious. Very impressed with the da selection and pricing. The staff is friendly, for the most part. I picked up a wide variety for the family and everyone seemed to enjoy everything. I would recommend this store to anyone looking to have a sweet treat.

Donuts were great at the location in Wolfllin Square. My daughter wanted Kolaches,so I went to the location on Bell and I-40. They were undercooked,still doughy. So I had to cook them for another 8 minutes.

No problems, no fuss, fantastic donuts and middle of the road coffee in a location that I'm sure is usually highly frequented by locals on the weekend. The apple fritter was particularly good.

I love this place. Paid $13 for a few donuts and a couple of bottles of Dr. Pepper. Would have cost me $25 where I am from. I see a lot of complaints about the kolaches. Just remember that this is the Donut Stop and not the Kolache Stop and you will be fine. Get kolaches in West, TX which is north of Waco in n I-35. Google is wrong about Sundays for this location. I let the store know but doubt anything will change.

The donuts are outstanding and soo delicious. Never met a donut in there I didn't like! The help is a different story. Sorry to report our older counter woman was sharp, rude, and needed an attitde adjustment. She needs to quit working with the public.

Great place for donuts, would have rated a 5 but there was a problem with a customer about t shirts. There were 3 girls there and instead of one trying to take care of that problem all three were. At least the two other's should have been waiting on customers that were there for donuts

I met the new owner, Russell. He was a great guy! It’s just my opinion, but The Donut Stop is a staple in Amarillo, TX. Personally, if I was the owner I would be shaking hands and trying to get to know each person that walked in. The donuts were still FABULOUS and thankfully they were all warm this time. Slowest drive through in Amarillo. Don't try it if you are in a hurry. Donuts are delicious, but be prepared to wait.

Hang on to your wallets. The donuts are okay, the sausage biscuits are not as good as most but the main issue is the outlandish price. It was $30 for a dozen donuts and a few breakfast sandwiches. 😳

Frankly, I had a mixed "good/bad" experience in my only visit to this Donut Stop location: *First of all, I was a little disappointed in the service. The employee behind the counter was borderline rude.,but maybe she was having a bad day or something...who knows. *I was sold an apple fritter that was so thin that you could probably have shaved with it. I'll tell you, definitely not worth the $2.00 I paid for it...HOWEVER, the taste was quite good. *My wife really enjoyed her Bavarian Cream donut (maybe I should have had that instead of the apple fritter). *The coffee was excellent...HOWEVER the extremely cheap cup lids provided were completely unacceptable, unless you actually enjoy hot coffee all over you and your car. NOTE: Donut Stop management should go to a Toot-N-Totum or a Pak-A-Sack to see what a good disposable cup and lid looks like. In conclusion: This not the best Donut Stop in Amarillo, but with a little more effort it could be.

We made a pit stop here on our road trip. I do not recommend the kolaches. I don't even know if you can call them kolaches. They definitely disappoint. On the flip side the donuts are a crowd pleaser! Delightful, light and sweet.

Cherry donuts were always a good thing growing up, but they've become a one trick pony. Their "kolaches" are awful. The dough is dense, they are tiny, and the dough isn't even cooked through (raw around the sausage). And then to charge as much as they do for them is pretty rough. They've played on their local flair for a long time. They kicked Krispy Kreme to the curb, after all. But man, have they been going down hill. Just like other local haunts of yesteryear (I'm looking at you, you barrel shaped burger place), service and quality hasn't been able to keep up and there are other locally owned businesses that are doing it better and cheaper. You get 2 stars for still being a fond childhood memory and my daughter still enjoys a cherry every now and then, but 85 cents is all I'm willing to shill at this place anymore. I've become partial to my friends down the street in the yellow building where service and quality is substantially better.

I don't have kolaches where I live now, but when i come to visit I always get them. I bought 16 of them this morning up buy breakfast for my decently large family. These kolaches are the worst I have ever had in my life. Anyone who tried them thought they were garbage. Shame on Donut Stop for selling such a terrible product. I will never go to Donut Stop ever again.

Usually I get good service. But this time, I understand that they just unlocked the door. But she saw us enter, then we waited for minutes. Didn't greet us. Was impatient when we were ordering. And afterwards she walked off, no thank you, no have a nice day, didn't even check if my friend needed anything. He did. He waited a couple minutes, and again got bad attitude from the lady. We all have bad days, but don't take it out on strangers. Geez

Very dry donuts, and not very sweet. They taste more like glazed bagels. I grew up in another state with Krispy Kreme and Dunkin, so I guess I'm used to sweeter, more moist donuts. But people here seem to like them for some reason.

I went there one afternoon, returning a donut cake for my daughter‘s birthday. It was soggy with grease. The owner was there collecting his money out of the cash register. I was told he was the one that had to take care of it. I stood there for at least 20 minutes just he and I and one employee left in the store. He ignored me, looked right through me until I wouldn’t let him play that game any longer.. He turned around and said “oh did you need to see me” I already heard the staff tell him I was there and needed to see him . Such arrogance! He threw out $$ (the cost of the donut cake)from his pocket. Quality and service has really gone downhill with the new ownership (2014). Donuts now are not crispy on the outside w/ dry glaze. they’re now soggy and sweaty with no glaze. I miss the old Donut Stop.

I40 location. Went to window at 5:45 and was told, “we open at six!” When I told her the internet said 5:30, she rudely said, “open at six!” I suggested they change the internet she flipped me her middle finger and slammed the window. Now I see why they have closed at least one store, are going to be closed on Sunday soon. This is a perfect example of how to run a business into the ground. If Chrispy Cream opened a store as they did a few years back they would take over the donut business in Amarillo.

absolutely amazing not 1 employee with a hair net , i seen one of the lady’s in the kitchen area eating and walking around then started to work with out washing her hands. i can only imagine what else is wrong !!

We have gone to the Donut Stop for many years when we come down from Colorado and have had great experiences. We have not been in Amarillo for almost a year and visited the Donut Stop on Bell and also the one on Georgia around 1130 today and the sign says that it closes at 1 pm. They should place a sign that says they close at 11 am, because they had no donuts and the chairs were already up. The staff was not very friendly and seemed like they were ready to close. We were very disappointed and will not return. I am not sure if there was a turnover in ownership, but the owner should look back in the past years and go back to the original operations of the Donut Stop.

Picked up a few donuts on a Saturday morning and they tasted old. The whole place smelled bad rather than a typical bakery. Perhaps the oil was old and made it smell bad.

I don't know how many times I've gone up here and asked for a donut from the menu and been told they don't have it... if you don't have it then take it off the menu! Plus the donuts are always cold. Donut Stop used to be the best... what happened?

One of the worst donut shops I've been to. The kolaches were very small, the sausage was dry and leathery like jerky, the bread was hard like a cracker, and they were very overpriced. The "apple fritter" was flat as a pancake, and I noticed no trace of any actual apples or apple flavor. The glazed donuts were fine, nothing special, and the coffee was hot. They weren't selling any of their cold drinks for some reason. If all you want is hot coffee and glazed donuts, you could do a lot better, but this is alright.

Tried to get a dozen donuts the other morning. After waiting 25 min in the drive through line, they only had cherry and a few different cake ones left. It was only 8:40am and they were already out of most donuts. They have one job to do - make donuts. Yet that is too much to ask.

This is the first time that I have been to this donut shop I bought a chocolate long john I got a donut that has very thin chocolate icing I can tell that it is homemade icing because of how thin it is and it is put on top of a grease flavored bread That's it the whole time all you can taste is the grease they cooked it in

The donuts and service are good however, on Saturday October 19th we did a walk in to get our order of 2 dozen cinnamon rolls, an apple fritter and a filled donut. Please understand I have worked fast food and it’s hard to keep creatures out of a business. Standing in line a red roach, a small one, not a water roach came around the wall turned the corner and enter into the bathroom. Please I understand it’s business but please have your establishment sprayed on advised services. It makes the environment displeasing and hard to buy at your establishment.

At my age, you can imagine how many years I've enjoyed going inside the coffee shop donut stop grabbing an endless cup of coffee and the warmest chocolate donuts your fat belly could desire. I've been gone for a few years now and have returned to a horror of unexpectation far from my taste bud memories. The donuts are not what i remembered. It is a shame. Ownership should forget his pockets first and revert back to the remarkable historic customer care and unquestionable product that was once the Donut Stop.
