Best Sushi and Sashimi in town! Their fish is the freshest I’ve seen around. Definitely give this restaurant a try.

Recently heard about this establishment. We have to gone to Rain for years, that has officially changed! The food is to die for, friendly staff, laid back atmosphere (where we can actually hold a conversation), clean, and did I mention the food?!!! This will be our go to when we come to amarillo for another date night!

Best Sushi, Pho and experience in town! Modern Sushi house run by a local family that puts their love into their food. You can tell the sushi chef has over 30 years of experience! I will always support this restaurant and I recommend calling to get a reservations. This place will be packed soon!

A much needed addition to Amarillo. Love the atmosphere, the people, but mostly the fresh, unique and delectable dishes. We got the Lobster bomb, the Randalion, the Vi2 Salad and the sashimi boat; they were all delicious and are must tries in my opinion. Definitely recommend!! 👍🏻

I had a tuna sushi dish, cauliflower, and a tempura roll. It was all exquisite. I stumbled upon this place because I was having my car worked on at Mavis. Excellent find. Great prices.

Visiting from out of town and was very impressed with the sushi quality. This is something I would expect to find in a larger city. The sashimi was fresh and the sushi rolls were all well balanced and not completely covered in sauces or crunchy bits. The Chili Ceviche (snapper) was excellent and up there in the top 10 sushi dishes I've eaten. I was surprised they even had my go to Gekkeikan Black Gold Sake. They're still new and working out kinks, but overall, the service was decent. The management team and owner checked on all the tables. We provided feedback and they mentioned the menus are currently being revamped (larger font and adding new dishes).

family went to eat today, they were so nice! and the food was great, this woman i’m unsure if she were the owner or not noticed my son LOVED the spring rolls and she sent us an order for free! we got the crunchy roll, combo fried rice, beef chowmein beef pho spring rolls and “kyoza” it was all out pretty fast and tasted great!

The sushi here is FANTASTIC! They serve excellent quality fish that is very fresh and tasty, the portion sizes are fairly generous, and the pricing is mostly reasonable. And, although I only got takeout, the service was great. If/when I travel back to Amarillo, I would definitely eat here again.

Oishii is hands down one of the best restaurants in Amarillo. The ingredients are always fresh, and you can tell the difference in the food. It’s a solid spot if you want good food and good vibes that’s consistently on point. Highly recommended.

Was visiting Amarillo for work and wasn’t sure about a sushi place in the panhandle but I was pleasantly surprised. This place was awesome and on par with sushi places in Austin. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was my favorite but the sushi was just so great in general. Also a great selection of sakes and a great atmosphere. Hidden gem!

Excellent fresh sushi and sashimi, large portions and great value. I'm always a little leery of inland sushi joints but this place rocks. Fish arrives fresh every other day and the quality of even the accompaniments like sauces show close attention to detail and pride in their food. I review very few places but felt like this standout restaurant should be recognized and recommended.

We just found this hidden gem! The sushi is so fresh and fairly priced. We loved the tuna and salmon sashimi. The pad won sen was awesome and a huge portion. The basil fried rice was also a good portion and so tasty! Great value and wonderful staff!

Was not a sushi fan until I had Oishii’s. We had the Florida roll and then asked for the chef’s choice- he chose the Three Season roll. It was fantastic! We then ordered yellowtail sushi, and escolar sushi. Paired this meal with a beer and some hot sake. Will return!

We first dined in when we found this little gem. The service was fantastic and the food was even better. I have to eat gluten free due to disease and was happy to see gluten free meals clearly marked on their menu. It is a quiet and comfortable dining experience with delicious food. I had the JB Roll and the edamame which was steamed and salted to perfection. Their rolls are delicious and I love their miso soup. Since dining in, we have picked up takeout many times. The food is made in a timely manner and they are always so friendly. I would say that it is $$ but definitely worth every penny.

Wonderful sushi and other Japanese fare here! Sapporo and Asahi beer available. Recommend spicy garlic edamame, salmon bomb, rainbow roll, and a cucumber wrapped roll. The staff are friendly and the service is very excellent. They also offer the other typical Amarillo Asian restaurant things like beef jerky and sticky rice, various noodle and wok stuff, and Thai or Vietnamese soups. But if you're coming to a sushi restaurant, step out from your comfort zone and try some more fantastic things! Nothing here is bad.

The food, fresh sushi, can’t remember the name of the roll we tried, but it was 10/10. Egg rolls were large and crunchy! Also 10/10. The green curry and orange chicken were also amazing. The curry was robust in flavor and the orange chicken was zesty and not over saturated with sauce. We will definitely be back.

I haven't had a bad meal yet here. I like the Thai style tum yum soup. The chow mein is good, so is the sushi. My wife loves the sesame chicken. It's a great value for the amount of food and it's especially nice that they start you off with free miso soup. The waitresses are all friendly and attentive.

Lights are a bit much and give karoke bar vibes without thr karaoke. Music wasn't really restaurant appropriate and was excessively loud. Waitress was friendly and quick but forgot complimentary soup and tea was served loose in cup and not many people like drinking tea leaves so a tea pot or tea ball would be a priority as the tea was delicious and nice that it was loose and not just a cheap tea bag, though 4 dollars for tea bag tea is not ideal. Chow mein combo with beef and shrimp was large portion though limited on shrimp portions. Shrimp tempura meal was large in portion 8 large shrimp and vegetable tempura was plentiful. Batter could have some tweaking on more profile or a different sauce. Pork katsu was small but delicious. The side of vegetables was steamed, bland and odd to the dish and would suggest a different vegetable presentation or cooking method. Will try again once some kinks havre burn ironed out and give thrm another chance.

We have mixed reviews of this place… showed up on the first Friday they were open and loved it so much we came back today for lunch… met My wife and son there…. Walked out without eating after waiting 45 mins after we ordered sushi rolls and still no food. Great place for dinner maybe… but lunch service is slow….

The food is inconsistent. I have visited this place 4 times now, the first time we had great service and food. Since then, it has gotten worse each time. The menu seems to be going through changes each time as well. This last time, our sushi roll was missing ingredients that were stated to be on it, in the menu. When we asked about it, we were told it's because they were changing the menu, and something must have gotten lost in translation. Our server did bring us the missing ingredient on the side. I don't know if I will be going back, which is sad because I really liked this place when they first opened.

Guys, the sushi and food is top notch. The kitchen needs to get their act together, though. 2 hours and did not get our kitchen entrées because the ticket slipped.

Everything was great besides how behind the kitchen was. Waited over an hour for our sushi rolls. Food and drinks were great. Our waitress Delcie was so sweet and amazing. Offered us accommodations due to the kitchen being very behind. Overall good will be back.

Everything was great besides how behind the kitchen was. Waited over an hour for our sushi rolls. Food and drinks were great. Our waitress Delcie was so sweet and amazing. Offered us accommodations due to the kitchen being very behind. Overall good will be back.

Knowing the restaurant owner and chefs are not Japanese, I can compromise somewhat but still it's too far different from Japanese food. It's not Japanese, it's not Thai food. Then, what is it???They need to learn what Japanese food like and taste. I feel sorry for customers, who believe this is Japanese food.

It’s 8:39 and they refused to serve us. Put your close at 8:30 then if you don’t want to serve until 9. Poor

Found a piece of hair in sushi that my granddaughter order. The other orders also didn’t taste very good. Not worth the price

The food was so disgusting. We spent 60$ on three things. Couldn’t even eat the food it was so bad. They also charge you .50¢ for a 1oz Togo sauce. The service was also horrible, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Edit to the owner: Let me remind you this is a Google review! A Google review is to let others know what to expect when they come to your business. The food at your restaurant was horrendous and the service was terrible. Instead of getting upset at a customer for having a bad experience maybe you should sit down with your staff and see what can be changed for the better because you are a hard working business right? There are plenty of other bad reviews about your restaurant as well as good ones, I didn’t like it and that is a personal opinion.

Avoid this restaurant, I don't recommend anyone to visit it! and it doesn't matter whether you know the language at all!!! They gave you rotten salmon, they gave you soup instead of salad, draw your own conclusions, visitors, they have already proven that the service is very bad because THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!! the only thing that was fresh was just rice!!!

Highly disappointed in the salmon katsu we ordered. It tasted like water curry with two potatoes and carrots. Also the salmon was 4 small pieces of fried salmon and it wqs stated on the menu it was fried. Not worth the $24.

Have been getting take out from them since they opened we love the food! So we finally decided to try actually eating at the restaurant and when we did we went on Valentine’s Day, which we knew it was going to be busy as expected. We got there had to wait 30 mins which is fine, the couple in front of us got seated and then we did, then several other couples got seated after us, and they all got served before us and got to order before we even got a server. We sat there being patient cause they were busy but when you serve everyone that came in after us and we still haven’t gotten served then it becomes and issue, the waitress that was serving the table next to us finally seen us and was like have yall been helped and we said no we haven’t, then she said that she would go and find out waitress like come on now! Finally our waitress got to our table, we ordered our drinks for a family of four, I took my daughter to the bathroom right after we told her what we wanted to drink, she only came back with three drinks and my daughter was like where’s mine, and she went to go get then we were going to order some appetizers to start with and she just leaves doesn’t hear us calling her or anything. Finally comes back and asks if we are ready to order, so we ended up putting in our whole order at once cause we didn’t know when she would be back to do anything for us. We finally got our appetizer, then my kids got their food and my husband got his sushi, and I was still waiting on mine for 20 mins, and when she came back, everyone was ready to go. Found out my sushi had been just sitting there. I was being really nice about the whole thing considering it was Valentine’s Day, and that they were busy, but she had checked on her other six tables multiple times, and just acted as if she really didn’t care about us. I made her take my sushi off cause I never got it and it had just been sitting there for who know exactly how long. We just had the worst experience dining in and it was very upsetting cause we have always gotten take out, and enjoy the food! But the service was not very attentive. I decided to today to get take out cause my daughter really likes their house soup, and she wasn’t feeling well, and I order a large for 7.99 that’s a 32 oz container. Called to ask them if their sizes changed all of a sudden or if they had someone new thinking they just made a mistake yes they were very understanding, and would replace it next time but we live 30 mins outside of town, and they just acted like they just didn’t care! I’ve never been the one to complain, but I’m very disappointed with the services I have had with them in a two day period.

I’m so sorry, but the food was so incredibly subpar and we were all very disappointed. The sushi was not at all high quality and was the quality of what you would get at a Chinese buffet. Very bland. Won’t be returning.

We’ve eaten a lot of sushi, including at many sushi restaurants in Japan, so our expectations were reasonable—not unrealistic. The sake tasted watered down, and the pork katsu was rubbery and poorly prepared. I informed our server, who took my entire plate to the manager. The manager then told me they could not offer any credit or resolution because I had eaten 4 out of the 7 pieces of pork katsu. That response alone was shocking given the quality issue. The sashimi was also not fresh—specifically the tuna, which tasted off and honestly made me feel sick afterward. Between the food quality and how the issue was handled, the experience was unacceptable. I genuinely cannot understand how this place has a 4.6-star rating based on the food quality and the treatment we received. We will not be returning and would definitely not recommend this restaurant. **IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER'S NOTE** Having standards isn’t an insult—it’s the baseline when you’re paying premium prices for sushi. I shared an honest experience based on food quality and service, not personal expectations. If a restaurant responds by dismissing feedback instead of addressing concerns like freshness, preparation, or customer care, that says more about the establishment than the reviewer. Constructive criticism is part of hospitality, especially at higher price points.
