Great beer great people great music. It feels like you are at home! You should try all the beers incl. specials. Dannyfreeze!
The opening of Old Tascosa gives Amarillo four breweries. While I would certainly love for us to have at least twice that amount, I will be content with saying that OT is so good that it makes up for other deficiencies. Owner Matt Welch is no slouch when it comes to brewing, having brewed at a major west coast brewery, as well as having done contract brewing in recent years. His knowledge and experience show in his finished product. I had the Hazy IPA as well as the Pale Ale, both winners in my book. The Hazy had just enough fogginess to earn the adjective; it was hoppy but not unnecessarily so. It is a very approachable IPA, especially for anyone who has already acquired the taste for these heady brews. Flavorful without fault, but not overpowering is how I would describe it. The Pale Ale, though was my favorite of the night. Pale Ales are typically considered gateway beers for those headed down the IPA rabbit hole. They are typically lower in ABV, and not quite as hoppy as their cousins. This one Matt brewed to perfection. While some Pale Ales can leave me yearning for a little more taste, the OT Pale arrested me from start to finish. And it was the finish that I liked best, a slightly malty taste, and maybe I was imagining it, even a tad bit piney. The icing on the brewery cake for Amarillo, though, is that this one is right on Route 66. The hundreds of thousands of Mother Road travelers each year will have no excuse not to stop in for at least one cold one before motoring west. And for those of us who live here, the latest entrant on the local scene is one to keep coming back to over and over.
We visited Old Tascosa Brewing Company on a road trip from Wisconsin along Route 66 in Amarillo. We loved the Saison and Everday Red! Great beers, a fun venue, and service from the owner, Matt. Highly recommend Old Tacosa 🍺
Great new brewery in Amarillo Texas. Seven of their own beers on tap with regular food trucks on the weekends. Custom built cornhole set is awesome, but I may be a little biased.
Nice place it was slow paced when i was there which is perfect for myself. The brews was good I tried everything they had on the menu. I would recommend it if someone is wanting to kill a little bit of time. It’s on Route 66 so it would be a good place to see on that side
What a gem on Route 66, the beers are amazing the atmosphere is incredible and brewmasters knowledge is second to none. A+ all round, they have great merch and pizza and sometimes various local food trucks.
Great brewery with many beer options. My favorite was the Red! We loved the atmosphere and the friendly service.
We love karaoke on Thursday. The people are great as well as the service. The beer is wonderful!

They don't actually have food here but they have a food truck out front if you're hungry. They have great beers for reasonable prices. I went here for the music and listen to Mike Fuller play for two or three hours. The place was pretty full the whole time I was here. On the weekdays they sell home brewing items daytime.
I've never met a brewer and it was not at the Rockin' OT that I met Matt. The bearded brewer of Old Tascosa Brewery was till in his Sunday's best as he suggested I stroll through, but only after I sip on some Texas Tumbleweed that just happened to be served at the place where we met. These brews are loose!! 2 pints later with subtle hint of Heifenweisen on my breath I strolled over to find a spacious, barn like space with nuthin' but natural light, high stools, and a cozy spot for families. Patrons may promote the pints, but my best take away was the tuned piano played by a young man and two younger girls who appeared to be with the fam. It can't get better than a Texan Tumblebrewed booze and some boogie woogie grooves! Capital idea, Matt!
We stopped in what I think was their opening week or two and for such a young brewery the stop was excellent. The beer selection was excellent and we greatly enjoyed visiting with the owner and the area it is located in right on route 66 is a fun stop in itself.
Great place and wonderful beer. I had a honey blonde and it tasted very good. Wife had a sangria that she really liked. Great environment. Really enjoyed drinking a beer and playing Jenga
The hubby and I travel for good beer and Amarillo has a couple breweries but the atmosphere was not the laidback and stay awhile that we enjoy. That is until OT opened their doors! They greet you like old friends and make you feel comfortable to relax and just enjoy the awesome beer selection. This is exactly what Amarillo was missing! We have brought many a friend, neighbor and coworker to OT and everyone loves it! Haven’t tried the food trucks yet but within walking distance are plenty of food options as well. Come try, you won’t be disappointed.
We really liked the atmosphere of this brewery and the area. For any Dallas folks, it reminded us of the Deep Ellum area. We had the Daught Buster IPA., It was very good in our opinion. We also had one of the available pizzas. It was good but we would have preferred to select our ingredients rather then pre-made pizzas. We still recommend this brewery.
Fun little spot on Historic 6th street. Cool old building with a fun vibe. Enjoy the live music and drinking a flight! Have had some good food trucks, but Ill try a 575 pizza next time
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality and a feeling of warmth from the inviting surroundings. Let me start with the cool atmosphere…beautiful and quirky fun art on the walls and the bathrooms. I especially love some of the references to Georgia O’Keeffe and even some SNL skits. Awesome metal signs adoring the back wall too. So, the beers…they are actually awesome! I had the delicious holiday red and my husband had the honey blonde. We frequent breweries wherever we go and have been to many. We have high standards and this hometown brewery did not disappoint…in fact, it was impressive! There may be a couple of other brew dudes in town, but this could possibly be our fav!

Good microbrewery. The beer is good quality. Owners are delightful. There are food trucks that frequent here for food.

Love the concept, really cool space and liked the live music, but every single beer was completely flat. Some of them tasted ok still, but couldn’t get past all of them being flat.
Pleasant atmosphere The beer choices were moderate but adequate and the beer was cold and tasty. The food choice(pizza) did not impress at all The pizza was tough to chew and not tasty. The server was disinterested. I still think it might be a good idea to try it for yourself. It is a fairly new business and time might just be what they need most.

Decent honey blond, but I've never felt less welcome. We're the only ones in here and I feel like I'm imposing.

If you want to go somewhere to have FUN, do not come here. all the bartenders are entitled and rude, and expect you to be completely silent and not ruin “their vibe”. if you become a regular you get treated like garbage, having to wait well over 30 minutes for a drink that i ordered before 15 more people come in and they get served first. i really used to enjoy my time up there but every time i go now i feel like a complete nuisance. in my personal opinion when someone’s at work they should act in a professional manner, and they do not hold that same sentiment. save your money and go somewhere else.
