Delightful breakfast here, I got strawberry french toast and he got the dutch baby! Everything was super delicious and everyone we talked to suggested we eat here. Super glad we listened to them! I can't wait to come back and try other menu items everything looked awesome

We looked for a great breakfast spot and we found it. Headed back home from Colorado to Houston and this will be our Amarillo by morning stop for future visits! Great food and staff :) My husband got the western omelet with hash browns and pancakes included, he has got a huge appetite and had a hard time finishing the whole thing. While traveling, we stopped in Amarillo for the night. Because we were so tired from traveling, we missed the free hotel breakfast so I did a quick Google search and Ye Old Pancake Station popped up as a recommendation. I am so glad that we missed the hotal breakfast! This place is delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. They knew the regulars by name and I knew we had landed in a good place. Probably the best pancakes I've ever had too! 100% recommend for breakfast as we haven't tried the lunches.

Delicious! Visiting Amarillo and stopped here for breakfast. I had the Country Benedict with poached eggs and my wife had the Village Skillet. My wife loved the skillet and how flavorful it was - (and she is very good particular!). Ask for Michelle for your server. She’s so nice. Definitely a must visit when in Amarillo!

We tried this place on our way back to Colorado and so glad we did. Place is cute, everyone was so warm and friendly, the food was great and the owner came to talk with us and did his rounds and said hello to everyone!

I do believe they have the best pancakes. I had the hot cakes and 2 eggs and bacon and the pancakes where light and fluffy. Almost melt in my mouth. Breakfast at 10 and they were full. So a popular place.

Excellent old school cafe. Large menu, something for everyone. Meatloaf, catfish, hamburger was as good as any if not better. At 10:15am we chose lunch which starts at 11. No problem very accommodating. Wait staff was Excellent like things used to be.

Loved it here. The food was fast and fresh. The pancakes are the size of the whole plate. Our server was friendly and efficient. Our bellies and pockets were still full. The prices here are cheaper than most but you get generous helpings.

Everything is wonderful here. It's a very busy breakfast place, but it is worth the wait. We've been several times, and even made a special trip to Amarillo just to eat here. We love the amazing fluffy pancakes particularly, but everything we've tried has been great. Wait staff are friendly and food comes out piping hot. You've never had pancakes this good, I promise. It's the best hidden gem in town.

Staff was so nice and friendly. Food lived up to the claims! So good! You can go with anything, however the chicken fried steak with 2 pancakes is the way!

Absolutely amazing food and service! I had the ultimate omelette with hash browns and biscuits and gravy and I couldn't have asked for it to be anything better! Mel was our server and she was on top of everything from the moment we sat down. Will most definitely be back.

Pancakes are awesome. Wouldn't say the best in the world, but yes very Good! They are very big I couldn't eat 2 on my own. The coffee is so good as well. I chugged like 4 of them. The service was great our waiter was really on it. Delicious place highly recommend.

The waffles here rocked my world!!! And the wild part is I’m not even a waffle man but a local was saying how great they are so I got one with blackberries and peanut butter and couldn’t believe how good it was. So good came back again the next day

I am glad I asked, because the menu selections were vast, the quality of my “Village Skillet” was super, the quantity was enormous and the pricing was definitely fair. My server “Ginger” was super-riffic. The restaurant was rockin’ with customers, but “Ginger” was re-fillin’ everyone’s coffee cups & stopping at each table to check on each customer’s needs. Delicious homestyle cooking! They have breakfast that you can order late, and a lunch variety. I tried the “green eggs and ham” which had green Chile’s. It was very good and had a nice thick piece of ham. You can’t go wrong with their pancakes. My teenage son wasn’t able to eat half his plate- meaning there was plenty.

I got the eggs Benedict which was amazing! My boyfriend got a combination omelet, which was just as good. Definitely would recommend and would revisit on a drive back through. Large servings for a great price as well.

I was passing through and wanted to try their version of "Bennys" . My review is only of the Benedicts, nothing else. The staff was polite and helpful. Terri was my waitress, took good care of me and was a delight. With that in mind, I will let you know that have a "top ten" list for Eggs Benedicts. After my visit I rated these "Bennys" as #9 out of 10. #1 being the best and #10 not as good. My rating is based on 3 weights : 70% = taste 20% = presentation 10% = price #1 - taste: they use an English muffin that is toasted and Canadian bacon. The eggs were poached perfect easy . I couldn't find out about the Hollandaise sauce but it was tasty . It comes with hash browns. All of this made the review to 5 stars. #2 -presentation : It looked appetizing. #3-price: $9.35 is a good price for Eggs Benedict. Coffee $2.25 a cup. Now with all that said, it is hard to place Ye Olde Pancake Station in my top 10 because of how little a difference there is between all of them. I squeezed them into the #9 spot. When in Amarillo do a breakfast here. No matter what you eat it should be good. NEW REVIEW 06/23/24: Things have changed. Some some good and some not so good. They have done some remodeling, the staff is just as friendly and the coffee refills keep coming. The coffee cups now match and have their logo imprinted on it. The prices have went up but not very much. #1 - taste: they use an English muffin that is toasted and a very thick ham not Canadian bacon. The eggs were poached soft . The Hollandaise sauce was glistening like it wasn't completed correctly. It comes with hash browns but were disheveled (see photo below) . All of this made the review of the food 3 stars. The rest received 5 stars. #2 -presentation : It looked disappointing . #3-price: $10.25 is a good price for Eggs Benedict. Coffee $2.50 a cup. I can't attest to the rest of the taste of the breakfast meals but I do know the sausage gravy is very very peppery. There are a lot of breakfast eating places in Amarillo.

Great breakfast at this local favorite. The pumpkin pancakes were amazing. Great to have on a cool, fall morning. Also had the combination omelette with no onions, but added jalapeños. Very tasty. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They were also wearing masks. Such great attitudes and service during this pandemic. I applaud them.

Five stars all the way around! I grew up in Amarillo and never knew about this delicious breakfast spot. While in town recently to visit family, I met my dad and brother here for a quick but delicious breakfast! I had scrambled eggs, sausage, and grits. My dad had a burrito and my brother had the veggie omelette. They said their dishes were good as well. Our waitress was Jenifer, simply fantastic, kind, and attentive. My mom and dad come here often and Jenifer is their chosen server. Highly recommend asking for her if you stop in. Restaurant was very clean, several employees stopped by to say hi to my dad and brother (frequent guests). While they were checking in on regular customers, I also noticed they were doing the same with everyone. TLDR: Ask for Jenifer. Food is delicious! Great atmosphere and clean restaurant.

If you love down home cooking breakfast kind of places like we do, this is your place. We were originally going to go to Brent’s Cafe, but they were closed, and we happily stumbled upon this place. The place was packed. Don’t judge the parking lot fullness by your wait time. The parking lot was full when we went and we only had 5 minute wait before we got our table. The waitress was so friendly. Everything came out delicious, hot, and with a smile. We enjoyed the hot chocolate, western omelette, chocolate chip pancakes, and biscuits and gravy. We’d stop here again in a heartbeat.

Though we had to wait 30 minutes to eat, the wait was worth it. The food was delicious! Chxó̜ó̜h łikan! I heard about Dutch Babies from Bob's Burgers & had to try it when I saw it on the menu. It was delicious! The helpings are huge & the price affordable. The staff are nice & friendly! I'll come back again!

What a great local diner serving breakfast till 2:PM. You should get there early, because this place will fill up quickly. I was seated right away, and service was prompt. I ordered the chicken fried steak, which came out in a timely fashion. It's actually a real steak (not like in too many places that try to pass off overpriced ground meat patties frozen from a factory) breaded and fried to tender perfection. With hash browns and 2 fried eggs and a bottomless cup of coffee. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast at a reasonable price, a family-friendly atmosphere. Locally-owned and operated, the waitresses are friendly and attentive, the tables and restaurant are neat and clean. Anyone giving this restaurant a bad review has an agenda and must think they are in competition, when the reality is that there is no competition, only competence, caring and quality of service and product. So I took 1 of my god daughters to breakfast a while back. And the review never posted, Strange? So posting now. We were looking online for a place to eat breakfast and she said look at that waffle we have to try that. So we came and tried it it was amazing. The Biscuits and gravy was also amazing. All of the food was amazing. Would definitely eat here again.

Wow.. we were so happy with our choice to have breakfast/lunch. Husband got the Sam I Am Green Eggs and Ham... (Cause his name is Sam) and I went full undecided fat girl and got beef stew AND a pancake... Nommy nom nom... It was delicious. Our server was great.. the atmosphere was nostalgic.. loved it!

Stopped for breakfast on our way to Dallas, TX, instead of going to a chain restaurant and we were very pleased. The atmosphere was quaint, cozy and the service was great; not to mention the food. Definitely will stop again in the future!

Really great spot. Some advice to anyone wanting to try this place out, come early and come with plenty of time. Pancake Station (PS) has a fast turnaround on their tables but there are so many people mid morning. That being said, it's very worth your time. The blueberry pancakes are very good, they used very fresh blueberries. I wished I had gotten the bacon instead of sausage, and the hash browns were not as crispy as I liked but that maybe user preference. I also thought that the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We love visiting this place anytime we go into Amarillo. What impresses me (and this is my own little quirk), is the cleanliness of the bathrooms considering how busy they are. I put a lot of weight on the cleanliness of an overall facility based on their bathrooms. Regardless , the food selection is impressive and tastes delicious. The service is absolutely outstanding with the staff checking on you in just the right amount without being overbearing. They do get busy so there could be a wait , but my opinion , it's certainly worth it.

Everything about this place is just great. The moment you enter it has an awesome atmosphere. You never have to wait more than 10 minutes even when they are packed out. The wait staff is always amazing. They are super attentive and funny. The food? Well you can't eat much better. It's leagues better than the chain breakfast joints. Big portions and it's all fresh made. The price? Way cheaper than you would think for the amount of food you're getting. Been here 3 times in the past two weeks. Long wait but the good is good. Huge pancakes, one is enough for a meal! The Dutch baby is what I keep coming back for, love it! The service might be a bit slow - not talking about the Dutch baby, I expect that. My coffee cup was empty for a long time before anyone offered me a refill. You might want to pack your own coffee for this place! But the food is good, the service staff is busy, and it's always full.

Pretty good breakfast, very busy morning. It's little rusty place but it's pretty clean. Parking can be little tight. Around 9am gets packed, visit early for seating. Overall everything was good, portions were good and able to finish on the spot not needing to go boxes.

I was visiting from out of town and was looking for some breakfast before hiking. Stumbled upon this old gem. The place was pretty full, but we were seated immediately. The waitstaff was very friendly, and we had several conversations during our time there. The food was a great portion for the price, and the ingredients tasted fresh. Not surprising that this restaurant has been in business for so long and they boast so many regulars!

I admit it I am Yokel! The staff wear T-shirts with the slogan "Ye Old Pancake Station where the Local Yokels eat". There is a reason why the restaurant is always packed at breakfast and lunch. The food quality is outstanding, the staff affable and courteous. When I order the Belgian waffle, I order a double order of fruit topping (blue berry) because the waffle is so big, a double order of fruit is needed to cover the whole waffle. The restaurant has been recently remodeled and is airy. The restaurant is not on a main thoroughfare, but the Local Yokels seek it out in its hard to find location. Find Ye Old Pancake Station, you will not regret it! They are wheelchair accessible and service dog friendly. At 4:00 PM, the Restaurant reopens as the Lost Cajun Restaurant and the food is also is excellent!

When visiting Amarillo don’t miss this place!!! YUM YUM YUM - best pancakes in town. We visited 8/4/24 on a busy Sunday at noon for brunch. You can tell the place is popular by the amount of people who were there. We were a party of 2 and waited for 10-15 minutes for a table. After being seated we immediately were served coffee and drinks. Service was friendly and staff capable and attentive. Portions were huge and the food delicious. We waited about ten minutes for our meal. Level, paved, free parking lot. There was a small women’s bathroom with a line waiting so I didn’t use it. Men’s bathroom was reported to be clean. Convenient to other shopping, hotels and highways. Will definitely eat here again if ever in the area.

We had my 2 year old with me and he sometimes has a meltdown at restaurants, so I asked the waitress if she could bring his food out faster. And she happily said "No problem I'll put his order in first." We received his food in just a few minutes. Not only was the service great, the food was great. I had the senior two egg breakfast and it was delicious. My only complaint was that the biscuits were somewhat dry and crumbly, but the gravy helped with that. I'll definitely be back.

Finally visited this place. The establishment is lively with constant traffic. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was typical cafeteria style food. The prices are decent and thats why we will return. We had the Tuesday daily special, turkey with dressing and a side, the country fried steak dinner, and a child's pancacke, egg and bacon. The adult meals came with a slice of cake and a roll. The cake was amazeballs. The daily special also came with a side salad. I am curious to try other daily specials.

It is the place to be. I was passing through town and stopped here for breakfast. When I arrived, I was appalled at the packed parking lot. When I finally found a space and went inside, I was again surprised by a waiting room filled with people. As I approached the hostess stand, I noticed that nearly every table was full, and the room was filled with the joyous chatter that you imagine diners to sound like. To my ultimate surprise, I was seated immediately. The hash browns were my favorite thing to eat, and I had more than enough. Unfortunately, I would have preferred my bacon a bit crispier, but it was thick and flavorful. Other than that, the staff was friendly and speedy despite being packed. If you find yourself in Amarillo looking for breakfast, this is the place to be.

Pleasant place to stop for an early breakfast before a long road trip. The service was excellent and the entire staff was kind and attentive. Eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns were all standard so there was not a bad thing to say of this meal whatsoever. I really enjoyed the pancakes. I thought they were very fluffy and sweet, and just all around delicious.

It was a lot of food, so if you're leaving hungry, it's your fault. Terri was an attentive & friendly server. My dutch baby was ok, but the eggs were perfect. Chicken fried steak for the guys was good portion, but not hand breaded. Coffee is seriously the best!

This is an older generation type place with a lot of locals showing up for breakfast and cross talking between tables. The service was quick and very attentive. My waitress kind of reminded me of Flo on an old TV show. You know your stepping a little back in time with the inside and outside decor. The breakfast skillet I got was plenty of food for a big guy, but the chicken fried steak and general taste of the meal was a little bland. When I'm back in Amarillo I'll give it another go with a different meal and we'll see.

On Sunday, very busy. I had to sit at the counter. I had the Country Benedict, ham slice on a biscuit half, with scrambled eggs, covered in sausage gravy, with hash browns. Best thing was the gravy, and the hash browns were good too. Good coffee, good service with the meal being served hot.

It boasts the "world's best pancakes" so challenge accepted 😁. I got one with blackberry and whipped cream 😋, it was huge (I couldn't finish) and very tasty! I also ordered the Country Benedict, also very tasty and couldn't finish. The coffee wasn't great 😕 😪 and neither was the service. I'm happy to wait and be patient when it's busy, but when my server takes an order from folks who came in after me, I take issue. At least she was honest about it when asked. The jury is out on a return visit. 😕😬

I had a biscuit and gravy. It was good. The OJ was warm not even a cool warm just WARM I had to ask for ice. Took a very long time I thought before a waitress came to take our order. Husband ordered their oatmeal he liked it. We're gonna go back another time. I'll take pictures next time.

Today was my worst experience. I order puck to bring home to my wife and family but today they did it again forgot the condiments for the oatmeal meal and the hash browns were uncooked.

The pancakes are pretty good, but the environment and atmosphere is poor 🥞🙁 The flies were bad here and I had to pick them out of my butter before eating; however my biggest complaint is the poor seating layout. It is very cramped in this restaurant, and I was seated right along a walkway. Not only did I have people constantly brushing up against me as they walked by, but other patrons were so close to me I couldn’t help but overhear their entire conversation about how a 350 pound type 2 diabetic was so rushed in the morning he didn’t have time to drink his morning sweet tea… tragic. 🤦🏻‍♂️ The omelette I ordered was made in a unique way that made the cheese consolidate in one end of the omelette. Very average.

My bf and I were trying to find a breakfast place before we headed out of Amarillo and he found this place. We thought we'd try it out since it had good reviews. We sat at the counter and waited for our server to come take our drink order. It was packed in the restaurant and I figured the food was great. We ordered 2 Country Favorites; mine had pancakes, eggs sunny side up, bacon and hash browns and my bf got the rye bread, grits, scrambled eggs and sausage. There was a family of 4 that sat next to us and they ordered a little bit after us. Our server brought food out, but the family of 4 got served first! I was so mad! How did they get served first before us? I felt like I was being racially targeted because I'm Asian. Our food took a couple of minutes after they got their food and my food was not hot, it was warm. Also, my pancakes were kind of dry and I didn't even have butter. I ate most of my food, but I didn't finish my pancakes, mainly because I was mad about our food coming after the family of 4 got served before us and we had been sat and ordered before them. After being in the service industry for 20+ years, this is probably the most uncomfortable I've felt in a restaurant. I def WON'T be coming back and I will tell all my friends to never come here.

**UPDATE**. One of the people in our party got FOOD POISONING from this place. Horrible. **ORIGINAL POST** ABUNDANTLY CLEAR THAT THIS RESTAURANT IS VERY POORLY MANAGED. We had a party of 4 adults and came in for breakfast on a Friday morning. We ordered within 10 minutes of being seated. After about 30 minutes, our waitress told us the kitchen was running behind due to a large TO GO order and that our food would be right out. After looking around, almost everyone one in the place was also in waiting on their orders. After over an hour (about 70 minutes), we finally received most of our order. My wife did not receive her food until the rest of us were almost done eating. The food was mixed. Some was just descent, some was completely subpar and some was really just PURE KITCHEN SLOP. The management clearly allowed a large TO GO order to compromise a restaurant full of patrons. No one was happy with the service. This was my only experience with the location, maybe it’s always better than this and our experience was unique. However, throughout the entire visit it was obvious the employees were working diligently, but not productively. Mismanagement was clear and obvious. We were excited to eat here based on the reviews, but our experience was utterly disappointing. Ye Old Pancake Station is poorly managed: which is evident in the quality of the food and the service. This location is NOT RECOMMENDED.

The food was cold, the gravy was cold. Eggs overcooked and cold, the grilled cheese was way to salty. Hash Browns tasted like old oli. The front lady was rude because we said the food was cold.

ask the server if the chicken fried steak was hand breaded and he said yes. it wasn't. the pancakes we ok nothing special. waited over 30 min to just sit down

It wasn’t a good atmosphere. My waiter was steady trying to question me about what I wanted and how big things were . The pancakes weren’t that good . It was a LOT of batter and the syrup tasted old . I won’t be going back there . A total waste of time and money .

Was very disappointed! I ordered 3 things to go. Eggs Benedict (they forgot to put hollandaise), next was chocolate chip waffle ( they put waffle in a styrofoam container with holes in the bottom so my syrup went leaked all over the place). Last thing was an Texas steak omelette, Omelette was good but hash browns were just browned on the outside.
